Its a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and staff ( Kristine and Sahar) are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations for food. I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended!
A real authentic Iranian food with a Creek view 30+years old restaurant lead by the second generation chef where . I asked the waiter for a dish with their best grilled chicken & beef comes with a special saffron rice . Enjoyed a fresh pomegranate juice and a mixed Iranian sweet for dessert. Excellent service by Anees. Bit overpriced
I wanted to share my wonderful experience in this restaurant, as this is one of the oldest Iranian restaurants in Dubai. I remember visiting here when I was a teenager with my family. I came back after a long time and the ambience was great, with Iranian guitarist who played Iranian folk music took us on this amazing musical journey while we were having our dinner. We ordered the chelo kebab which was out of this world. I was saying yumm after every bite. The lady who seated us and served us the food was also an amazing person. She was so welcoming, and offered us more rice for FREE even when we told her that we were ok with what we had. But she insisted on serving us 3 different rices to try and this put a great smile on our face. The hospitality was amazing, the service was amazing too and I did go back again after 2 weeks and it was awesome. Great job guys and keep it up.
Had dinner at Shabestan while celebrating a friends birthday. We have been to other restaurants in this hotel before and its great to finally dine in the signature Persian Restaurant of the hotel. We had the Shabestan Specialty Platter which is a combination of premium kebabs - seafood, chicken and lamb plus 3 types of rice. Also loved the fresh Iranian bread.Shabestan has been serving for more than 3 decades and the staff and management make you feel like very welcomed.Thank you to Ms. Rose for the staff (sorry, forgot the name) for the service. Thank you as well to Sahar, Sayed, Ben and Yamuna for checking on us.Check this restaurant out for an authentic Persian foodie experience!
Not nice food.. ! Kebab not goodNormal service..Only yogurt nice
I have heard many things about this restaurant, being one of the oldest establishments in old dubai and is known for its authentic Iranian cuisine.... but unfortunately I was very disappointed.Arrival - Dont bother driving towards the valet, the queue is long. Youre better off at the paid parking.Me and my family have been welcomed and seated with no issues. However, our preferences on seating have not been met as the seats were booked... since the whole time we were there.. those extra tables were never occupied. The chairs are not comfortable, the tables are small for their serving platters and dishes we have ordered.By the time the food arrived... im sorry to say but i have had better. Nothing about it seemed authentic and it lacks flavour and uniqueness. With its presentation, the price of the Shabestan Speciallty Platter at AED 798/- was extortionate and basically day light robbery. I will understand if the dish lived up to its expectations... but alas it did not.Dont get me started with the Bamia... we asked to remove the lamp and we have still been charged for for AED 118... Its basically just okra and tomato sauce at this point... so why charge me for it.The ONLY good experience i have in the restaurant was the Customer Service of the waitress that served us.In the end, this is just my opinion, family were not too happy as well. Will definitely not come back.Thank you.
Amazing place/food, friendly staff, professional management, thanks alot miss sahar for making our day happy.Advicing every one to try this place 👌💙
Best kebab ever I tried in Dubai 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Now I often come for a dinner 👍🏻Best service Sahar Vivek are bestAnd they have nice view 👍🏻
We had gone there for iftar and did not have a good experience. The whole place was over crowded since there was a combined buffet of all the restaurants. The food was average. There was a table with a good view of the creek and we were told that it is reserved but nobody sat there till the end and we were denied a seat there. They were about to overcharge us, just then I pointed out the price on the Zomato app which is when they charged less. Almost all the dishes could have been better.
The restaurant is 32 years old, located in The Plaza of Raddison Blu Hotel Dubai offering tremendous variety of authentic Persian dishes with live music and panoramic view of dubai waterfront. The food quality is excellent and service is very good, it’s to the expensive side however it’s well worth it. If you’re in Dubai don’t miss it
Absolutely amazing food. The same and unchanged as I remmeber it
Such an amazing Persian restaurant. Their pomegranate and zatar rice is one of a kind and my favorite, their starters yogurt is also amazing!!Overall if your searching for a perfect Persian restaurant here it is!!
Good experience but be prepared for a fat bill. Conclusion, the prices for the served food is a rip-off.
My favorite Persian restaurant in Dubai. Authentic, tasty food and freshly baked bread from their own in-house oven. The bread together with their complimentary vegetables and cheese plate is a amazing meal in itself. Add any of the classic and well prepared Persian dishes, lean back, enjoy the live music and prepare for a blissful experience.
Great authentic Iranian food,a place to enjoy with family and friends,,lovely fresh baked Iranian bread.
We had gone as family of 4 for Dinner, the service was excellent by the supervisor Anis(hope the name is right)Food was super. Chef was excellent with his hot breads and over all it was a very great evening for us.Only request the AC was too High and the music to look into.Chef
This was my first and last experience probably at Shabestan restaurant. Unfortunately with all advertisements and awards, the quality and taste of food is not good at all. They have a great staff, service and nicely designed dishes, however, The Soltani and Barg Kebab which are famous Kebabs of Persian cuisine were very fatty and tasted very bad and cheap for a 5 star restaurant. The quality of food needs to improve for the prices in the menu and being in a 5* hotel.
We booked a Christmas eve brunch, because after the terrible year weve all had, why not?I tell you why, from service to food to reservations to EVERYTHING, its a waste of your time and money. We were hoping for a Persian buffet, since thats the cuisine of the restaurant. But there was not ONE single item of Persian origins on offer. Sushi was so old and bad that I could smell it from a couple of meters away. Turkey was as good as drywall, and could have been yesterdays leftovers. Vegetables were cold and grey looking. Pasta was definitely reheated, all soft and gooey. Nothing even edible.I sat back at our table with an empty plate and asked for a refund. Because guess what, they made us pay before showing us to a table. Of course they wouldnt pay us back, and I ended up with a sad plate coming out of the kitchen, out of pity, and looking like somebodys half eaten food.I went home and fried some eggs...
Good food , kind staff and nice music .
I loved this restaurant.. they were so accommodating of our delay due to traffic. Staff was exemplary and courteous. We were given a wonderful.table by the window facing the Deira Creek..With lots of sunshine.. the place filled up quickly ..With lots of Indians and Iranians and a few others..We were given Mast o Khiar and salad gratis..Which in itself filled us a bit..Their bread was delicious..And the kebabs and rice ..Flavourful.. Fesenjan and the Faludeh were yummy. Thank you Sahar , Vijay and Anis ..You will always stay in my memories
One of the best restaurants ! Delicious food but make sure you dont eat much before so you enjoy it.
The food is amazing. Its authentic Iranian food. It was quiet and empty as we went on weekday afternoon. Reduced one star coz the grilled dishes were Luke warm, ideally if its fresh grilled it should be super hot.
One of the oldest Iranian restaurants in Dubai I believe from 1984!The price is on the higher side but I guess thats what you get dinning at a hotelOverall a good restaurant with nice staff
Food was cold meat was very chewy i think the cooker is changed
Food is good and not as greasy as you may find in other Chinese restaurants. Hygienic and easy to get to from Union Station
Absolutely the best iranian kebabs in town. Service is impeccable
This resturants prof that Old is Gold, very delicious food, friendly and professional stuff.Although it is my first visit, but I enjoyed the experiance and I advice Iranian food lovers to visit the restaurant
Good overall restaurant with good quality and good service. Was told its one of the oldest restaurants in town.
Menu is over priced for the same category of restaurantRenovation is needed as it looks so old
Truly a culture restaurant up to its standard of quality with polite and friendly staff. Keeps up to the high standard in terms of quality of food and service of Radisson Hotel.
Authentic Iranian restaurant that has existed for 30 plus years. The restaurant has regular seating as well as enclosed seating which can be nice for families. Good view of the Deira Creek side. Food taste is good. Variety of dishes are decent. Prices on the expensive side. They accept the Entertainer. Dessert options can be better. Valet parking is available.
Dinner on a Sunday night. Place was always empty. Tried it anyhow. Food was lukewarm, not sure it came off a grill. Also felt we were overcharged. We couldnt decide between chicken and lamb so they suggested s combined platter which ended is costing 600 AED. Avoid if you can.
Shabestan has exceeded the experience of ordinary fine dining.
Im giving 3 stars just for the staff and bahar (if Im not wrong) who was super friendly and helpful.I didnt try the grills and wont comment.. I see good reviews for their grills and hopefully they are goodI tried the stews and they were horrible.. The ghorme sabzi wasnt fresh seemed to be out of can and was sweet which is just another indication of can food.. Im not sure about this though and its only my personal take..
Meat is rather good actually, but thats it...I did not like ice creams totally, both Ive tried
I liked the view its outstanding 👌🏻👏🏻
Best quality food and excellent service
Amazing food good location
The “kuboday” is the best beef kebab you will have in dubai.
Be careful - it’s a tourist trap! The location is ok. We weren’t sure what to order so they suggested a lamb and chicken platter. In the end they charged us 600 AED. In comparison to other restaurants the quality wasn’t good and the food was highly overpriced.
Looking for authentic Persian food then this is the one. Delicious food and fresh, friendly staff welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must visit restaurant.
I love the old luxury vibe. It’s so cozy and there’s a live musician there and the food is good too, a bit on the pricier side. A cute place to take someone who loves Iranian food for a birthday dinner 😊
Amazing Iranian food
Its good but not good enough as befor?!
Food taste fresh and excellent... staff are very friendly and cooperative, however the price is high comparing to other similar food category
Among top 2or3 of best iranian cuisine in uae,Everything is rich loaded eventhou they master chef handovered his position to the junior yet it tastes greatWish they open new branch in jumaira as its difficult to get down to deiraSpecial thanks to Mr. Anees with his professional friendly service
Not bad
Excellent food but expensive. Good starters followed by some nice grilled meat with saffron rice and so on. Best Iranian food that I have had.
Delicious food and good service. Dont forget to try mix grill !.
It was my first time trying Persian quisine, so I really didnt know what to expect. Starting from the beginning, the restaurant has very nice design, comfortable sitting and nice view. There are also bigger tables for families in more private corners. Food was nicely presented and tasty. Portions adequate to price. The most important in this place is service. Our Hosts were very friendly and knowledgable. They were suggesting options according to our needs and questions. Chef also came out to say hello, what is very nice and welcomming gesture. I can recommend this place for a nice dinner with friends and family. I loved calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!
Very slow and bad service
Very yummy food
Food are fresh ample options. The Dining experience made it more extra the assistance of Mr Anish and Ms. Sahar. They are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
One of the best Iranian Resturants I have ever been to , kashk e badamjan, chelo kebab are just love don’t forget to ask for tea in the end you’ll love it
Loved the experience, very unique arrangement although it can be a bit overwhelming and some foods are tricky to find if you arent exploring enough but I had fun overall. Will come back again.
I had a small party and made a reservation 2 hours before going there. I asked for a private room and they gave the private room with nice view to us without extra charge. Everything was ready and prepared for us before our arrival. The food was tasty and the staff were very welcoming and respecting. I would go back to this place again.
Very impressive and authentic Persian Food. Still a classic and Gem of a Top class Iranian restaurant. I rate is as the best in Dubai still..
I was invited by my friend for lunch at the restaurant. the food was WOW and had an amazing experience by service staff. I ll be there with my family soon 😊👍🏼
