We got such a great meal there with Hassan proving us the most amazing service for us. We got a private room with air conditioner and comfortable seats. Me and my boyfriend both think the lamb chops kebabs taste the best! Worth 5 star! Strongly recommend! We plan to come back next time for the grilled fish!

Our first day in Dubai did not disappoint. Our tour offered this restaurant as a lunch and I couldn’t have been more happy. From the ambiance, to the service , to the mouthwatering food… everything here is absolute perfection. Thilina took care of us in a private fully air conditioned room and I couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect. He was so attentive with us and I was so grateful. His service was what pushed this restaurant as one of the best I have ever been to. The food was just as fantastic. If you have an opportunity to experience this hidden gem please do so as it will not disappoint.

This Emirati food restaurant recently opened in the old Dubai district. It’s a must while you are visiting Dubai if you want to try delicious food from United Arab Emirates.The setting is beautiful and makes you travel to the past. Everything we ordered was delicious and portions were very vast.The service was very friendly and helpful providing recommendations and assisting us through all our delicious lunch.

My husband always good at choosing the restaurants, like always he chose this place, As soon as we enter this restaurant its pure touch of a village ambiance from floor to roof and each display shows the history of a UAE, and the staff are very friendly and they explain everything in detail and they will suggest the food which tastes better. Food was truly tasty and ambiance was totally different, this restaurant is a aroma of a heritage ❤️ they even created old Emirati bed room without missing tiny details 😊 we were very happy after visiting this place 😊

This place is delicious. It is the best meal I had in Dubai and our server, Thilina, made our experience unforgettable. We ordered the Arabian breakfast and it was enough for two people. Very satisifed and will return for dinner!

Best authentic Emirati restaurant in Dubai! Fatima graciously offered our family a chilly air conditioned private room to retreat from the summer heat. There we enjoyed a sumptuous reasonably priced meal on the the beautifully carpeted floor, reclining on comfortable traditional embroidered cushions. Highly recommend, especially for families. Allowed us to stay as long as as needed for a leisurely meal—kids even napped! Such a delight that we came back the following day despite the long distance from our hotel. Ideally located across from the fantastic Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding, enjoyed lunch there after their mosque tour.

Hello. We were there for the first time today. We were served very friendly and warmly by Marawan or Mayawan. He showed great attention and gave us suggestions on what to eat. The meal was very generous. Very good taste. The price / performance ratio was perfectly fine. The atmosphere in the traditionally furnished small room was very cozy and inviting. We had great pleasure visiting the restaurant. We received a very nice welcome from Marawan 😊( I hope writethe name correctly). He was very polite and accommodating. He explained the menu to us in detail and made sure that our wishes were met👌🏽. He keeps asking whether everything is to our satisfaction, but not intrusive. I saw that Marawan tried very hard to do everything well for its guests👍🏽. He explained to us how the women outside make the traditional pastries. Our experience at this restaurant was amazing. The food was unbelievably delicious. The place takes you to the past and it’s so well distributed and beautifully decorated. Excellent hospitality and food!The restaurant was so great we went twice on our trip to Dubai. Having eaten at several highly rated Emirati restaurants in Dubai, RAK, and Fujairah this was the absolute best one.Hassan was our server both times and he was fantastic! We were new to Emirati cuisine and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and was great at describing the dishes and making recommendations.The portions at the restaurant are very generous and so you will leave very full.Our favorite dish was the grilled lamb chops which were some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. The grilled fish is also excellent.The luqaimat are also a great (and light) dessert.

First time to visit but won’t be last for sure 🤩 they are very welcoming, super respectful and friendly, the place and service are super 👍🏼 Highly recommended 🙌🏼

One of the best Heritage Restaurants in Dubai. I dont think I have seen any other restaurant In Dubai thats got the handmade Heritage vibe and the food is ridiculously delicious and affordable.

The best restaurant! Food were absolutely delicious especially their Lamb Machboos. The chef and staff are very welcoming and super nice. We sat at the courtyard and it has an amazing settings. Namlet is a must try local drinks too. Theres a fun way to drink it which is interesting. A must visit place in Dubai.

Today the 20th December is the grand opening of Al Khayma restaurant! We came across it as we were exploring Alfahidi historical district.We sat outdoors, the ambience is nice. The staff are super excited about the opening. We ordered both the Arabic breakfast and Emarati breakfast.Fresh bread, and high quality food.The chef came out to say hello and took us on a tour around the restaurant.All the best!

I have witnessed the soft opening of this restaurant, I can’t believe that this amazing experience will be finally live to all tourists residents and natives to see, a true Emirati authentic experience, a real food experience, a spiritual place that brings back to you the nostalgie of the old days, having a breakfast in the middle of an open ancient traditional Arabic house under the sound of fresh water fountain, birds and of course amazing Emirati and Arabic cuisine, definitely my new favorite place in Dubai, loved the location where u can also check the museum near by. Call it a chance encounter, a coincidence, unplanned or anything because we just happened to stumble upon this wonderful restaurant on a perfect evening exactly on its opening day and we loved every bit of our experience we had in this place!! On our way back from our trip to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, we saw the opening today board outside the restaurant and simply went inside to see the place only to find ourselves in one of the warm experiences weve had so far.Everybody in the restaurant was warm, welcoming, friendly and happy to have us. Thats just what we would normally look for in any place we visit, isnt it?? We got to feel it the fullest in here.Then comes the scrumptious food. We ordered lentil soup, a seabass grill with biryani rice accompanied by a plate of fresh salad leaves and pillowy soft best tandoori roti bread and finally had a refreshing cup of Sulaiman tea. Right from the first spoon of that soup until the last sip of that tea it was utterly delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it.The ambience perfectly reflecting the heritage, attention to detailing in showcasing every little thing, the cool use of recycled and upcycled materials in the furniture and settings - its a beautiful place and a great restaurant to indulge in some good food. We hope to go back again soon and we would absolutely recommend that you also try out here.
