Nice vibes and basic Mexican decoration, it makes you feel like sitting at home. The food quality is average to good, as I had better quality in sustainable city branch. The Guacamole doesnt taste good here, lack of salt and lemon which we had to add by ourselves. The service is good, but when the restaurant is becoming busier, the service becomes a little slower. Overall, good value for money, the food is great, and its worth it to try.

BIG ZERO for their hospitality!!!Great food quality however the behavior of some staff needs a lot of improvement!!Of course we started with their famous Maria Bonita Guacamole Salad.Recommend the Trio Fajita, big portion, lovely taste full of flavours.

Pretty decent food! Fajitas were great, tacos were good too. We also ordered Quesadillas but sadly they were disappointing. There was hardly any meat in there. I would say the food was not as good as you get in north America but still comparable. Must try. Ambiance is nice too.

Heard about the hype of having decent Mexican food here in Dubai. Came to Maria Bonita and was delighted to find out that the hype lives up to the name. The tacos and guac are amazing and portion sizes are quite reasonable. We also had a tamarind drink which was quite tasty. Highly recommend the tacos and the guac. They even put on a show for the guac and can tailor it to your taste buds. Note that you can also use your Repeat app here. Gracias Amigos.

Guacamole 🥑 is prepared infront of customer which is interesting to watch and tastes amazing....waiters are super friendly and have good customer service skills. Last but not least is the Mojito..one of the best in town

From oldest to top rated Mexican restaurant by TimeOut magazine. Unfortunately, it has lost that charm. However, it still portrays a traditional Mexican look along with humble and cooperative staff. Two thumbs up.

Family type Mexican restaurant that serves great chips, good salsa, and great guacamole appetizer. This is not a true Californian Mexican place, but it aint bad for Dubai.. The enchilada plate had 3, each with a different flavor, all chicken and it was good and pulled, but slightly chewy. Shrimp tacos did not have any extras like lettuce or tomatoes, but the shrimp was flavorful. Fajitas were very good. Tourists and locals both come here. No alcoholic drinks.

The food is OK.. Nothing special..Staff are friendly and cool and the place has a nice vibe..I tried the ribeye tacos with cheese on top, they were much better than their other tacos, the chicken and shrimp taco was a no no, the beef and fish were better..Nachos were also fine..Overall, I didnt love it but wasnt disappointed either

Place was confusing did not know if it open or closed. We entered main door and chairs were kept upside down just as we were turning back we saw people inside and so we opened the second door. Service was poor we waited to be seated no one asked until we approached them. We sat then waited again we had to call them to serve us. Drinks got served after 15 mins and we got our main course 45 mins after ordering that too after we asked them about our food.Now about the food nachos were not crisp. Tacos and chimichanga was really good thats what gave them the stars. Guacamole was really good but the rice I did not enjoy. I have eating all this in the USA at some Maxican home style restaurants thats what I am comparing with. Anyway this place can do much better.

The Guacamole (which was prepared at the table and we customized a little, was good and basically save the Fajita.Tacos - soft tacos, not fried or anything, with a couple of small (amazingly even sized) beef clumps. Little rice.Overall: disappointing. Considering the prices: almost very disappointing. Not recommended.

One of the first Mexican places to open in Dubai and were successful in setting the bar high for new entrants. Yet quality has been auggering as the food ingredients used aren’t of high quality. It has an authentic Mexican feel yet the food needs to improve. The chips were stale, the guacamole too light in color, while the chicken tacos were good.

This is one of my favourite place for Mexican food. Its got an authentic Mexican feel to the place. They have one of the best hard shell tacos in Dubai. They also have great burritos and quesadillas.

I had a very very bad experience with this restaurant. I ordered meat tacos, and the meat taste was very bad. The way of serving the food was zero. It really dont worth the money that I paid for it, and it was very expensive!!!! this is a zero restaurant that doest represent Mexican food at all!! I dont recommend it at all. 😡😡

I used to be a regular at Maria Bonita (Umm Suquiem) 10 to 12 years ago. Back then the food was fantastic, the service great, and atmosphere wonderful. After moving out of the area, I stopped going, but now, 10 years later, I’ve moved back into the area and thought I’d have a meal there after getting a craving for some decent Mexican food. Boy, what a disappointment that was! The food was not just terrible, greasy and completely unfresh, it left me completely without having satisfied my Mexican craving! I actually felt a little sick, especially after eating the steak taco which was totally saturated and completely dripping in oil and grease! I have now vowed never to return to Maria Bonita again, I’m sorry to say. Very sad, because I still remember how good it once was!

Music was very inappropriate for children and not family friendly at all. Guacamole wasn’t that great didn’t have enough salt or lemon . Basic Mexican dish could have been much better !

I, like many others have faced a horrible experience recently with their resturant.As a regular customer to this resturant for over 15 years when you first opened, I have always been extremely loyal. About a month ago, I ordered food to my home address, the same address I have been ordering to from them for these 15 years. Now, my first instruction to any resturant I order from is to please NOT ring the doorbell if it is after 9pm.As usual, this was my instruction to them. I live with my family and it is extremely inappropriate for the doorbell to ring at such a late hour.The driver arrived to my house, rang the doorbell and as a young girl who just wanted to order food without waking my whole family up, I was extremely frustrated and told him off. His reaction was to put his hand in my face and walk away.Now, my question is- what if he raised his hand on me? What if I was alone in the house?My response was to obviously call the resturant and speak to the general manager (Benjamin).. however, his reaction was shocking, he said “it’s fine, don’t order from here again”, and blacklisted my house. This was their personal resturant driver. Maria Bonita generally now has a reputation for bad customer service, however, this blew my mind!If the resturant cannot protect their customers and ensure their Saftey as a combined effort to keep Dubai as safe as I’ve always known it to be, then how long until a woman is harmed by one of these guys?Disturbing!

This is our absolute favourite Mexican restaurant in Dubai. The food is great. The staff is amazing. We go here every couple of weeks.Then on our last visit, something changed. The food tasted different. The service staff seemed distracted. The crowd seemed unusually sparse for a Thursday evening. Everything seemed a bit more toned down than usual. Nothing was bad per se. Just different.If the management is reading this, please give us our old Maria Bonita back. The old vibe, the old food, the old staff...we will keep coming again and again.Update: looks like you can request the old menu items if you ask nicely. :)

Been coming here for a couple of years, but sadly the quality and taste of the food and even the service has not been as good recently. The last 2 visits just hasnt been a good experience. Its a shame because its a cool little mexican restaurant with an authentic feel to it.I hope it improves again.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Staff shortchanges you for everything. They dont even give you chips until you finish the first batch. And they charge so much which is why I have a problem. Food quality is terrible. I have lived in California and I can tell you that this is not mexican food. Not even close. Please do not go here unless you want to be treated rudely by the staff and management refuses to do anything. Would not recommend

Excellent food, beautiful ambiance, and very consistent. Have been going here for 7 years and the quality of the food is still top tier. My only criticism is that prices have increased recently, which makes my usual order (beef fajitas for 95dhs) more expensive than what I would like to pay. All in all I dont think you would be disappointed.

Good food and made you feel truly at Mexico. I think the owner was around and was saying hi to everyone. Thats pretty nice. The only bad thing was the service, our server was really bad at helping with recommendations or anything for that matter.

The ambiance at first was fine, though the birds at the door did not seem too happy. Then, we ordered guacamole which was made fresh and tasted fine. The following dishes of tacos and tamales was not satisfying at all. The tamales didnt seem fresh. The tacos came to our table w the wrong meat. Overall the food was lacking in good flavors youd expect from an authentic restaurant. When we left the place we saw a mini cockroach in the kitchen area. Its hard finding Mexican food and the menu seemed authentic enough. However the cleanliness seemed lacking and the flavors really did not represent Mexico well. The staff members were nice but the kitchen and food needs better management. The taste was not authentic and our most concern was the freshness. I pray we do not get food poisoning.

Its a good place to visit 2 times per year.I dont recommend Papas Bravas (its not the original recipe).There are things can be improved like the lack of attention to orders and the delay in serving starters (20 minutes).Its a nice place in general but can be better.

Being Indian, this was one of the closest to full Mexican food experiences and not bad at all. Family + friends chilling place. Loved the guac and different types of sauces. Couldnt choose a fav dish but must visit for good food experience.
