I had high hopes for this restaurant.. really thought I would love it but unfortunately I was really disappointed for couple of reasons.The host had an attitude, lacked common courtesy and was not hospitable as one would expect.Considering the large bill we paid, the food was overrated and below average.Probably the only good experience was with the waiter assigned to our table, he was sweet and helpful.

Came here on a Saturday night for some signature dishes and drinks.. and it was still bustling! Resos recommended. Food was great, but also rather expensive (worth it though). Staff were very nice.

One of the liveliest places Ive been to in recent memory which also happened to have some of the best service and best food. Packed to the gills on a Friday night, the staff didnt put a single foot wrong the whole time. I was thoroughly impressed. The food is nothing to scoff at either– every dish we had was cooked to perfection but I have a special soft spot for the Seafood Orzo. It also happened to be my wifes birthday and the staff, once again, went out of their way to make the whole dinner even more special. The ambience needs special mention because I love how it differs from the dark look most modern restaurants seem to default to.Gaia is an easy recommendation and will definitely be a place I visit every time Im in the city.

Outstanding service and food - this is an amazing restaurant and well worth a visit (book in advance!). The waiters are highly attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and options. The chef (who is Indian and brilliant!) is such a lovely person and has taken time to speak with us every time we have visited. Saganaki prawns are a must-try and the fresh fish is stunning (cooked in a range of ways according to your taste and preference). Looking forward to going back - an excellent experience all round.

Ill start that there is no question that the food is good.... The restaurant specialises in sea food and it has a seafood counter you can select your own pieces from.Service from the staff was a little over attentive early on (well until the place got quite full but even then not too bad).Every dish was beautifully presented and while a tad in the small size, was adequate to get a good taste of the dish.On the downside, the prices are completely disproportionate and that alone guarantees the restaurant is completely full in Dubai even at lunch.Top tip : use the DIFC valet parking and validate that at the restaurant rather than the regular car parks which cant be validated.

It was extremely wonderful experience. Favorite dish were cheese pie with black truffle, potato with black truffle as a side, eggplant moussaka, seafood pasta and the deserts (shokolade cake and the mille feuille). Grilled octopus, dolma, meetballs and shrimps were average. Manuel was extremely helpful and very polite. Will be definitely back!

Excellent cuisine and service: out of an interesting long menu, we tried grilled octopus and fried calamari, and a yummy catch of the day, grilled. Great wine selection. Service extremely professional: the first place I have experienced in years where my glass has been timely refilled in the right way, at the right moment, and not as a push to buy another bottle. I would classify Gaia as an expensive dinner, as you need to budget over 500aed per person, before wine hits the bill, but worth the money.

Simply avoid this place if you want to go out spend your money for a great experience!! This place simply don’t care about customers. They act like robots and give zero f**ks about customers’ experience!Try other places especially if you are out to have good fun with your friends and family.Only thing good there could be some of the menu options that’s it!!

A bit disapponted. My boyfriend can not eat dairy and nuts, and when we told about it to the waiter, he didnt try to advice what to choose, or which dishes have an option to be made without it... So it took us a long time to pick something, and the waiter was really annoyed by it. It is the first time we faced that much poor service in Dubai restaurant, which pretends to be a high class place.Also the waiter asked us to tip whem we payed the bill, it was ridiculous!The food was okay: fish was really delicious, truffle cheese potato... Was good only due truffles, musaca was excellent!

We booked a table in advance for a celebration.They made us sit outside, when we asked the server to move us inside in the empty table we saw. she ignored us saying the table is booked for 6 people. But when i came back to follow up on my request there were just two people siting there.Would any self respecting restaurant in dubai make customers sit in the heat in dubai weather. They kept saying the outside area is cooled with this unit.

In an era of social distancing the place was over crowded, the tables were definatley not anywhere close to be far enough apart, which made the whole night uncomfortable.. the starter menu is great and fairly priced like it should be but the main course menu is light and over priced... service was great but we were asked to leave our table 10 mins before our 2hour time limit...not some place i will visit again for dinner.

Food was great.. everything was cooked/prepared to perfection. A bit disappointed at the end when we had to wait forever for the bill and our waiter had ended his shift without letting us know.

Such a wonderful dining experience this has been , I am in food coma. Lovely ambiance , great service and excellent food. Every dish we had was a star.We had beetroot salad , Greek salad , spinach pie , mousaka ( which they made vegetarian for us on our request ) , excellent prawns dish with a red sauce ( I forget the name ) , baked vegetables and amazing truffle pasta . The highlight was the frozen Greek yogurt dessert which was served with greek style donuts. I can not pick which dish i liked more as all were so distinct and delicious . Will surely be going back . This one has to be my new favourite . Recommended !

Its a very busy and bustling restaurant . Its a fine dinning restaurant but the food is worth the spend. If you are a big group I would highly recommend the desert platter. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere with good fresh, simple and delicious food.We have tried many items in the menu, yet I believe some of the dishes could be improved.The seating was very tight and next to each other which is not comfortable at all.The staff were absolutely outstanding, friendly and attentive.

Amazing food, very nice restaurant. The food was very tasty. It’s better to have a reservation specially in the night as they are alway busy. Valley parking is available for free. The restaurant have inside and outside sitting area. I order the baby goat half portion and still big it’s really very good option for sharing. You must try the frozen yogurt as the dessert It’s so yummy and creamy.

Update July 2020: I have always had a great experience at Gaia but today was an exception. We ordered a whole sea bass which is charged by the kilo at market price. For a 1.3kg sea bass, we paid roughly 936 AED! Completely, completely outrageous.Previous review: Food is excellent - mostly Greek/fusion and Mediterranean dishes (many traditional dishes are done with a twist). Weekends require bookings well in advance.

Tried getting in twice unfortunatley they always said were fully booked though i could see empty tables they insisted no tables available perhaps I wasnt dressed well enough or was on my own or they want enough people per table to spend as when I called to reserve a table for one they said we only book for 6 and above persons just try walking in whatever the case not fussed I only come on vacation and heard alot about this place specially the founder chef izu, hence I give 2 stars for the location. I dont think I will try again.

Unfriendly, rude and not considerate. First and last time to go there for dinner!! They made us sit in the smoking section and it was, hot and terribly bad!!The restaurant had tables but they wouldn’t offer them to us although we were two couples and ordered so much of the menu food & drinks!!Better options surrounding to go to in the future. Yet some of them fall under the same business group owners but they are way more respectful.

Good ambience, good decor, good to take guests for a buzzing Friday night. Mashed potato with truffle very good. But the lobster pasta everyone keeps raving about tastes like sugary tomato sauce with a few strands of pasta. I wouldn’t go back, overhyped.

Want the perfect place for a date? Gaia it is. I went with my husband for valentines and it was perfect. The food is more than incredible. Your taste buds are on alert. You can taste every ingredient. Gaia is hands down one of the best restaurants in Dubai. I will definitely go again.

Apart from the yummy food and great service by marylouis we had a very bad incident which we hoped didnt happen.I called on the same day just to add 1 chair, what the lady otp told me was that no we cant add 1 chair cos the table fits 3 only. When we arrived at the table, the table was for 4 exactly and actually had cutlery for 4. Which is so disappointing!My friend couldve simply joined cos they had space and the restaurant wasnt at full capacity.

Even though first time I have tried I really enjoyed the whole experience - when we went with my friends for my birthday celebration it was very average - on top everything they came back with an extra 1k aed on the bill named under “open food” if we didn’t check the bill properly which would have been paid to them !!! They try to scam you so openly NEVER RECOMMEND ESPECIALLY FOR BIG GROUPS AND CHECK YOUR BILLS PEOPLE !

As a frequent visitor to Dubai I’ve pretty much tried all of the restaurants, especially in the DIFC area. My favourite was always LPM, but after recently trying Gaia I have to say it tops LPM. The restaurants served Greek Mediterranean cuisine in what almost feels like a very upmarket traditional taverna. The food is faultless and the flavours so natural. Would highly recommend.

Gaia is probably the best upmarket restaurant in Dubai now. It’s a Mediterranean with a Greek influence restaurant. Everything including the decor and service is excellent.

Save your money and spend it other places but not Gaia!! Rude staff and not a friendly environment..Good food but poor vibes and terrible experience.Not recommending especially if you want to go out for a good quality evening. Many other options nearby!

Gaia is the new hot spot of the DIFC. Beautiful restaurant with professional and welcoming staff. The food is amazing and offers something for all types of palate. Great drinks and wine selection. I would recommend.

Gaia by chef Izu Ani a Greek Mediterranean cuisine.My first impression was very good but not special. Decor and ambiance was modern and chic. Staff are courteous. Our waiter (don’t recall her name but she was Greek from Armenia) was helpful and knowledgeable. Food was nothing special. Some dishes were excellent (baked feta cheese, cheese pie and the baby Goat) while others were average (mosaka for example). However nothing was memorable. Desserts need serious improvement; too sweet and poor texture. We tried three items and none were good.It is still a good place for business lunch.

The food was bomb! It was worth the hype absolutely. I would definitely try more dishes when i come back. The only thing that i would have them work on is the butter knife. They served some delicious bread as a starter and obviously i had to cut that bread into half so that it fits in. I had a hard time cutting that bread.

Probably the best modern Greek food I have ever had! I would say this place is the Greek version of la petite maison... They only use the freshest and best quality ingredients, so even though the food looks simple it tastes so amazing! My favourite items were the prawns saganaki and the squid with olive oil, both were executed to perfection. Service was very attentive and professional, and the ambience was classy yet not stuffy, with just the right amount of buzz. This is the kind of place I can return to often, the food is simple and elegant, yet has the right amount of creativity put into it to differentiate it from the rest of the pack. Highly recommended!

You have come for dinner in casual shorts at +37 to Gaia restaurant... Be sure - you will not be allowed in! A dress code that no one writes or warns about anywhere. At the same time, the entire restaurant is full of girls in mini-dresses, beach dresses and any kind of clothing. And The staff is just throwing up their hands

One of the best greeck food restaurants in dubai a bit pricy on menu side but a very excellent authentic menu.

We had a late lunch at around 4.30pm. The food was fantastic. The waiter brought out a cutting board with the different cuts and explained what sauces worked well with which cut.The restaurant is a little pricey but worth it for a good steak. I definitely recommend Gaucho restaurant for meat lovers.

The worst restaurant I have been to.we were 7 of us, I wish I can tell you about an exceptional dish but none!overrated restaurant without any signature in any dishes.I have read in the reviews before that they sometimes add extra lines in the bill, and thats really happened! we found a line of open food with a total amount of 945 dirhams, they changed it immediately when we told them about it without hesitation and they could not explain what is open food means!so in total I we paid 460 dirhams each without alcohol, I paid this amount for terrible food experience.will never go again and I hope you check your bills before paying.Greek salad,tzatziki,mousakka,grilled cotopus,calamari,salt crust fish and truffle Pasta.

Super Chefs Izu Ani and Orestis come together again with the Bulldozer Group to give us Gaia, an elegantly designed, contemporary Greek-Mediterranean restaurant in DIFC. Located opposite Cipriani, the restaurant has already become hugely popular with Joe Public and A-Listers alike. Even H.E. Sheikh Mohammad recently paid a visit, sadly not the either of the two occasions I’ve been.As expected, the food at Gaia is superb. I am no expert of Greek cuisine but luckily had an Athenian with me who is already a regular there. He quickly took charge and ordered – grilled octopus, baked feta, spinach pie and the amazing red mullet tempura wrapped in a vine leaf. Of course, we started with a Greek salad and some complimentary olives and cherry tomatoes in olive oil and dried Mediterranean herbs – yum. All the Greek restaurants in town offer octopus but few can deliver such tender perfection. I loved everything we ordered.Whilst I found the overall ambiance of Gaia slightly pretentious and snooty, I felt the servers and supervisors were actually quite friendly. It’ll be interesting to see how Gaia stacks up to recently opened Ena on the Palm of the fantastic Opa. Till then however, Gaia is the new fine dining king of Greek in Dubai and almost as good as my favourite Greek restaurant, Mythos.Hey! Make sure you check the amazing restaurants where you can spend your money happily and have a quality experience at the same time. But not Gaia!!!They are rude and they don’t care about customers.
