A fusion of old and new! Souk Madinat is the place to be if you want to experience the elegance and grace of the old Dubai. You can find a lot of shops inside as well as restaurants. We went there at 8 pm and just sit down at Starbucks in front of the activity area, listening to jazz. Its a good place to chill with your friends or with your special someone. You can also find inside Souk Madinat the perfect place to take a photo with the Burj Al Arab! The place is so magical cant even explain it in words, its one of my favorite hangout spot in Dubai!

A good place to hang out. They do have frequent jazz nights and art shows. Do look out for that. The vibe of the place is quite good especially in the evenings. Shopping might not be worth it bcause of the limited options. There are quite a lot of dine in options. It would be better to visit during the winters, when its less humid.

The perfect encapsulation of old and new, Souk Madinat Jumeirah is a clever shopping and dining destination next to the iconic Burj Al Arab. Offering a wonderfully modern take on an old Arabian town, it’s all about the electric atmosphere, incredible scents and the mix of bars, restaurants and coffee shops that run alongside the palm-fringed canals. Whether you’re looking for souvenirs, jewellery or something a little more decorative, this old-style bazaar is the perfect place to indulge in a little retail therapy. Inside, it’s an endless maze of tiny alleys and wood-framed walkways, with a colourful treasure trove of little stands and stalls that sell all kinds of clothing and local trinkets. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is less traditional than the souks you’ll see in the Old Town, but there are still lots of little touches that give a flavour of local culture; the wind tower accents and handsome Moorish design are the perfect homage to the heritage of an old Arabian market.

Great place to stretch your legs, it probably gets much busier at night time, especially during Ramadan. Parking is ample and is underground which is nice to have in the summer. Make sure you make your way to the photo spot with the Burj Al Arab in the background. I also hear that there is a neat boat ride which l have to try next time.

Best place to visit in Dubai and its absolutely free of cost. Two hours free car parking and very ample car parking space. Beautiful views, cool ambience and excellent photography spots to click some great pictures. Lots of shopping and dining options. Also in it you will find TODA - Theatre of Digital Arts which displays works of artist like Van Gogh. Entry to the show is AED 100/- and its a must visit place for art lovers. Overall its a great place for friends and families. Go for it.

This tranquil outdoor mall offers a mix of traditional stores selling souvenirs and modern eateries with classic fare. Enjoy a boat ride while admiring the iconic Burj al Arab hotel in the distance. This is a great place to get souvenirs of Dubai. Granted that its probably pricier than shopping at the more traditional souks, it does provide you a shopping experience thats a lot more comfortable without the pushy and aggressive vendors. We got some good deals on various souvenirs, silver/jewelry, and perfumes. The best view of Burj Al Arab and loads of restaurants and bars to hang out in. The waterways are stunning and it’s just really cool to walk around. Shops are overpriced but they do cater for tourists. Worth a visit for sure. The place is full of water channels inside! beautiful design of the construction. A great place to understand culture and get stunned by its beauty. One of my favorites destinations whenever I am in Dubai. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is an authentic re-creation of an ancient marketplace with traditional Middle Eastern style and ambiance though a little disappointed to see that it was not as crowded as before and there were lesser shops than usual but this place fascinates me as it reminds me of an ancient market place that’s a blend of both old and new

Great place with traditional style aesthetics built with modern facilities. As the name indicates Souq Madinat , this place has many shops which sell traditional items, souvenirs to jewelleries as well as many restaurants and snack bars. The highlights of the restaurants are the outdoor seating on the shore of an artificial stream flowing through the middle. This along with the wonderful lighting and fitouts give a great ambience during evenings. Traditional boating is available through the stream. You can get a lot of very photogenic background locations for your photos.Parking was free for limited period.Overall a romantic place to spend an evening with your partner. 🛶💕

There are only few stores open in this suok, but you’ll have a good night out when you want to unwind with your friends and colleagues. My colleagues and I went to two bars and had a good time. Most of the bars are having happy hours before 7-9pm. 🥂

Great touristic shopping area. There you can find lots of traditional UAE souvenirs (clothing, jewelry, paintings, food) also you can find many tiny little coffeshops and cafes, ice cream and patisserie shops (yep Starbucks and gelato too.. traditionally) nice area just to have a walk to see how eastern culture looks like for Europeans. I personally enjoyed every moment there

Evening ruined by parking charges! Seriously the souk is only allowing 1 hour free and then charges 15aed per hour!!!! Even after spending more than 1500aed in retail and F&B outlets, we are still asked to pay that??? How will this place ever get alive again??? How these lovely restaurants and bars (except the Jumeirah Group ones which stamp for 3 hours free) will attract customers arriving in their own cars???We will spend our money elsewhere in the future, to places which honor free parking or at least charge reasonable amount!

It is a decent place to visit with a heavy touch of Arabic experience. The mall is filled with Arabic shops selling authentic local Arabic merchandise. The landscape within the mall was a pleasant surprise and everything was elegantly decorated. I wasn’t able to buy anything as most shops sell Arabic style clothing, kitchenware and decorations, but it was nice to explore through them.Parking was easy and free so it is very convenient to get there if you drive. It’s very close to the Burg Khalifa so that adds to the experience too.

Just always remember not to pay the first price they give you for anything as you can take it for half the price at the end if you work your way to it. Nice place to buy gifts. We came here during Christmas time and in our opinion Madinat Jumeirah managed to pull off its aim to recreate an old Arabian town (albeit) with a touch of contemporary styling; we especially appreciated the barajeels (wind tunnels) which in our minds complemented the overall look and feel of the huge bazaar. we took a mini abra boat ride around its canal and marvelled at the posh living quarters of the boutique hotels. an entirely enjoyable experience both in and around the bazaar.
