Lebanese fish cuisine fine dining .This place is the best of its kind in the downtown area.For me what is great is it’s a big place so tables are spaced out .Food quality is perfect and the prices are just rightDefinitely recommended for Lebanese fish

I gave it 2 stars for location and friendly service.Al Hallab is a well-known brand in Dubai. We went for Ramadan Iftar. It was on-set menu.The food quality was way below average and doesnt fit with its legacy as other branches.One common feedback about food: premium ingredients but warm to cold dishes and side dishes.The desserts were done in a fusion method so they offered Kunafa but filled cream instead of cheese and other desserts that tasteless.The service was great and ambience but the main reason for visiting a restaurant is to enjoy the eating experience in which they fail to offer.Im not sure if it happened only in Ramadan.I hope they revisit the menu and stay faithful to their legacy.

Food is great and delicious without any complaint and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the poor service and the attitude of the waitress and the hot temperature in the restaurant specially when you are paying high price where you expect good service along withe good foodSweets came burned from the bottom and we showed the manager but he could careless and his only reply was : very strange the don’t burn like that normally.. and just leftWhat you see in the picture on the menu is not the same quantity you get and though we showed them the difference but no one cared to even replySo 5 stars for the food and 2 stars for the service for a fairly high priced restaurant

A series of Hallabs restaurants, serving lebanese food menu, a really beautiful experience i had at that place with the authentic lebanese food taste, most dishes are either very good or excellent, the service is very good and the prices within the expected range. The deserts served after the dinner were delicious and well done. A must try in my opinion and you will enjoy it as well.

Fabulous place to dine.Once again great tasting food, exciting ambience, great decor, good looking well dressed people all around.Indoor and outdoor service; smoking and bon-smoking ~ what a delight .. catering to all.The maitre’d was most polite and accommodating when I asked for outdoor seating which would not have become available for sometime as I’d expressed my ‘hunger’ and the dire need to be fed.He however escorted me to a tastefully laid table with views of the outdoors all a bustle and personally served me.The food was unbelievable; so much that I quite forgot to photograph/video my SHAKSHOUKA ... I very much ‘wolfed’ it down.The chicken livers with pomegranate seeds are to die for .. please order that also.I enjoyed every minute spent dining here and gladly went back.

Great ambience and seafood variety. Im sure the pictures will say it all👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Starting with the lobster soup to the shrimp fatteh and grilled seabass & shrimps. Oh and the rice as well. Everything was Extremely tasty. Cant forget the taste of each and every single bite👍🏼

Had a wonderful experience the sea bream, fish schwarma and biryani (didn’t really taste like traditional biryani) were all fantastic choices

The food was good but not the service.Waiter was so unfriendly and rude. That was my last dinner in Dubai. But get ruined just because of the service.Although we havent finished food , but the waiter start to clean up the table. when he wipe the table he split the food on my dads clothes. And he just said sorry and walked away.The whole time just felt like they want to shunt us out.Will never come again!

Excellent ambiance, very good food. Slightly pricey, but its expected given the location. Definitely an upscale establishment. Impeccable service. Clean, quick, responsive. Fish selection was fresh and varied. Preparation was exactly as requested. Definitely will return and will consider for gatherings and celebrations.

Superb appetizers and desserts and friendly service. Their Shisha is also good but their main courses leave a lot to be desired. I ordered the Zubaidi Fish and it came over crispy I could hardly find the fish. I didn’t order the mixed grill because the waiter told me that they don’t offer lamb chops or Arayes with it! What! What kind of mixed grill is this? Even cheap and budget restaurants offer those, you can’t call it a “mixed grill” when it just has shish tawook, Kabab, and some beef pieces. I even asked if I can add the lamb chops and arayes if I paid more but nope, what’s on the menu is the only thing you can have.Will I visit again?? Definitely not, there are much better restaurants around.

Very beautiful place one of my favorite places. Great ambience and service. The food is as always SO GOOD.Great variety of food with the original recipes and with twist too.Unfortunately during COVID-19 we were not able to dine out of our homes, however we love to come back to this place very often.

Worst customer service. Served us half the portion of the actual fish and kept arguing with us that it’s full. Didn’t even take it off the bill. The manager is also uncooperative. Would not recommend despite being fans of hallab for more than ten years

Excellent service. Delicious food and so good seafood. Such a fine dining place with good shisha. And most important thing they have gluten free menu. This place deserves more than 5 stars.

Great food, usually order the grilled shrimps mixed with some sushi. Quality of sushi could be better, but the grilled shrimps are amazing

I strongly feel it has lost its touch. Not worth it at all. The service is awful and you need to ask numerous times for anything you require. The design is out dated and interior looks old with a lot of scratches and damages here and there. This restaurant is all about the experience which now it is failing dramatically, just having good food is not enough. The main reason why I decided to write a review is the arabic coffee. It was not arabic coffee, it was just dark thick black coffee. I do hope the restaurant management decide to do something with their staff and soon.

The menu here is mostly seafood, which we didnt know going in but the food is generally great. However the sweets here were bad, which is surprising. The service is fantastic.

Their fish seabass is outstanding, ceviche is a must and the deserts are second to none . Try Halawet Jebn and Kibbeh Sammak . Their natural pomegranate is outstanding.Can’t comment on shisha for dont smoke .Manager Rafik is very helpful and professionalIt’s a must try place best Dubai can offer

My number 1 Lebanese restaurant in Dubai! Although it doesnt serve Kibba Niya, but their seafood menu is delicious and would keep you coming every time you pass by downtown and have a glance at the place. Their Shisha is the best I have tried in Dubai. The staff are quiet nice and generous. You might get lucky and get a free basket of fruits and dessert like I did when I visited last time.

Very nice sate manu, cold, hot mezze, fish is the main dish , also the sweet were vey tasty, the services was good also.

Poor service, low quality food and very expensive .We even left hungry after Ramadan Iftar LOLThey can do much better for 160AED per person .I will not visit this place anymore.

It is a very classy restaurant and comfortable place , a very well lighted place beside their customer care service. Their taste of fish is amazing while the sushi taste was not that good as expected as well as their hummus was a little bit sour. I definitely go again for their fresh fish .

The fish was ok, though a bit burned. The mezze was terrible and does not represent the lebanese cuisine in any way. Wine leaves was a disgrace. The service was poor, we kept asking for lemon wedges for 25 min till the food became cold. We received twice juices we didnt order but the water we actually ordered took forever although the number of staff around is higher than the customers. I wont really go back

If you are hungry, dont go to this restaurant.In Downtown area there are so many nice options for arabic restaurants with excellent service, you can go to Leila, Mezza House, Beit Wared, Al Hamidieh, Karamna. BUT please dont walk in this Al Hallab Bab El Bahr. They dont care about customer service at all.Imagine you order fish and the waiter brings you spoon with it making some jokes, how would you feel? Do you normally eat grilled fish with a spoon?I can describe the atmosphere at a hookah (shisha) place, and if you dont speak Arabic language you will get treated same as I was. Save yourself a nice evening and spend money at a worthy restaurant.

Delicious food for a moderate price. We had a nice experience here, the waiters were nice, if they did not understand our questions or requests they called a colleague that betters speaks english. They gave us olives with small breads for started and desert on the house. I totally recommend this place for a nice dinner!

I been ordering from this restaurant in the past, as I loved the taste of the food (quality and quantity wise), it was sooo delicious. But the experience I had yesterday after ordering the food was pathetic in quality and the quantity of the food was sooo less what I had paid for, It was really shocking to me. I am sooo disappointed with Al Hallab Bab El Bahr.

Went during the city lockdown so the restaurant was completely empty apart from one other family. They were fully staffed but yet still managed to mess up two of our orders...makes me think how they would be on a busy night. Food was OK, average at best. Unfortunately do not recommend, not the best experience and wont be coming back when in Dubai.

Although the prices are higher than expected and the food is a little overpriced but it’s worth the price.The food is always tasty and fresh Which is a good sign of a nice crowded restaurant, I would suggest you to order their Syrian traditional food which is very tasty!Try to avoid ordering a lot of main dishes and order their starters which are very delicious!However it’s a nice experience overall!

An absolute disaster! We came over to celebrate my wife’s birthday. No one smiles, no one cares, you have to seek their attention to place an order, or remind when they forget to bring something. I guess that the manager was not there, either they are chilling after the weekend or simply you have to flash some cash to get them running. My wife is Lebanese, we had our Saudi friend joining and it was so embarrassing to have such extremely poor service. Sticky tables, they couldn’t pull out the paper covers (see the picture). The food was ok nothing special but a good Lebanese restaurant is all about the ambience and service - it wasn’t there at all. Never again!!! Do not recommend!

Service levels have shockingly dropped . Restaurant closing time 1am, last order time 12.15am and no orders accepted after 11.45pm. Bills need to be paid before 11.45pm . So dont really enjoy the food or the time . Recommended only if you arrive by 8pm or rather try out much better joints in the same area . Being a regular customer here will only acheive you worse service quality. Definitely not recommended.

Very good lebanese cuisine

Everyone liked the place in our party of 6 but no one super loved it. It is a solid place , you will not be disappointed.

The food is good, however the waitress are jumping in/out the table to remove cutlery, plates, etc as you eat and do not allow you privacy.

We were looking for a good Lebanese/Arabic place to have dinner, and having checked out Zomato, decided to come here for a mealWe had a very nice selection of vegetarian options that were available👍We were served good black and green olives with brown bread rolls - a good way to break bread with well-seasoned olives👍 Had Hummus, fatoush, Muhamara, Warak enab, fattoush, batata harra followed by the lentil soup. All these were served with fresh baked Arabic breads and another round of the warm brown rolls - The food was exquisite, could not fault anything in the meal, everything served was really very well prepared.👎The downer of the meal was the listless service  - which is really surprising in such a nice restaurant - This is the difference between a good restaurant and a great one. Our server had a completely disinterested attitude, we requested for an extra Hummus, and it took forever to come, and on reminding this person, no apology offered, just a gesture with the hands - it is coming. On asking for the bill, he did the payment on the credit card machine, no interest in finding out how the meal experience was, ( We would have only thanked him for the wonderful meal) - just left the CC receipt and the bill on the extreme end of the table and walked away without handing back the bill or the CC receipt.Have been a bit harsh on giving 3 stars, but hopefully, the management takes this positively and gets more consistency in the service as the food is brilliantThe location is excellent, plenty of parking available underground. The restaurant itself is nicely laid out, great outdoor sitting - a nice setting for a lovely meal.

Delicious food. I highly recommend the mixed grill, saffron rice and fattouch. The flavors are on point and the food melts in your mouth.Ambience was good, and service was fast and efficient.I was so pleased with this experience. Coming again asap.

Very large place specialising in Lebanese cuisine, especially seafood. Great Arabic decor and atmosphere.Starters and main course freshly cooked and served very well. Sadly the desserts (Kunafa) came from the microwave. From a great main course experience the dessert really let the place down. With the abundance of Lebanese restaurants in Dubai, we will not be returning anytime soon.Staff seemed to find the fact food came from a microwave hilarious.

As a place it is really good, seating is comfortable, location is good, and shisha is really good.Food is below average unlike other Al Hallab restaurants, chicken grilled, shish tawook and mix grills were very dry, with bad after taste.We were not encouraged to try seafoods after the grills experience.Appetizers and Salads are good at this restaurant mainly.

The restaurant is in a great location, convenient parking underground and nice food. The only advise is to open outside tables for service during the day time. The weather is wonderful now and it is good time to enjoy your nice food in the open air.
