Tried clap for the first time, the Interior and the ambience of the place is really great!Lovely staff and great hospitality! We tried so many things, the yellow tail sashimi is really good. The chocolate dessert was really good as well. Next visit will try the meats.The Berry drink was a bit to sweet for my liking, I wish it had a taste of spice or sparkling fizz in it.The view is spectacular!

Great service. Vegetarian food was good, not as good as Roka in my humble opinion and probably contrary to others vegetarians views.Wouldn’t take anything away from the menu. Boris (manager) and his team did everything to ensure the evening was memorable so thank you to you all!

Recently visited Clap for an early dinner. Place is crazy busy even on weekdays so suggest that you make reservations way in advance.The decor is magnificent with subtle nods to Japanese manga which I found pleasantly amusing.The dishes are flavour full, we started off with the rock shrimp which we couldnt get enough off! Topped it with most of the sushi on the menu along with the tuna Sashimi which was delicious! Main course was beef ribs and Black cod which was cooked to perfection. Presentation is good, for a restaurant of this stature I believe it can get better. Great service by the massive team there. Kudos to them all. Theyve got a great system going to ensure your never kept waiting.Looking forward to my next visit and this time to savour their dessert.

Beautiful restaurant, we maybe arrived a bit too early as was empty for the first hour or so (8.30 arrival). Service was excellent, great recommendations and the food was to die for. Very different sushi to the norm!

I had an excellent overall experience at clap, the food was good, extremely friendly and welcoming staff. My favourite dishes were the fried rice cubes and rice pots, however I found many of the other dishes repetitive like many other Japanese restaurants in Dubai. The waiter recommended the Berry Berry mojito, I honestly was disappointed by how it tasted, like any canned berry juice you can find and the orange drink was very very bitter (Non-alcoholic drinks could be improved) I would say it’s worth a one time try! I appreciate that all staff were helpful, but also I noticed that sometimes the place gets filled with staff in one place especially near the kitchen door. Also at one point I had to ask three times for ice and lemon and was a bit disappointed for not receiving it to the table.

Excellent service by Antony, a Lebanese guy in an Asian, Lebanese owned restaurant.The waiter knew everything about the food and his suggestions were on point. The food is contemporary Japanese with some Peruvian touches and very very tasty if you compare it with Zuma next door. The kitchen was fast and All the cooked dishes were very carefully executed. Congrats to the team. PS if the volume of the music was lower I would rated it with 5 stars. PS2 the toilets have amazing views of Burj Khalifa 😊

I’m a fan of Clap. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff welcoming. Unlike other restaurants in Dubai, Clap isn’t pretentious even though they serve top quality food.The service was really good and at all times the staff was helpful either by making good suggestions for drinks, nice recos for apps, or fixing our wobbly table.The food overall was great. We had tons of dishes and the only thing I found that was average was the tuna tartare. It needed a bit more seasoning. Aside from that dish, everything else was yum. The edamame with honey and truffle was super good. The spicy edamame was also good.I loved the different crispy rice bites with varied seafood. I recommend the salmon.We had different nigiri and we enjoyed all the little wonderful pieces.The wine and cocktails were also good. I can’t wait to try all cocktails.

A modern Japanese cuisine featured a wide menu selection of dishes and flavors with an indoor and outdoor dining experience and great music . Classy , chic interior. Unique chandelier made of 1000 toys. Stunning interiors. Staff are accommodating / attentive, friendly and the service is fantastic. Bartenders are specialist and the drinks are exceptional. Highly recommended and definitely will be back again

Another joiner to the Japanese food scenery in Dubai. It is a nightclub serving food more than a restaurant. Music is quite loud that you can’t even talk to your table mate. Apart from sushi which was poor, food is good with hot and miss options. Decore ambience ambience is elegant and modern. Service is quite poor and inattentive.

Honestly was going to give this place 3 stars, but decided to go with the 4 and give them the benefit of the doubt. Frankly speaking the service is not that great. The waiters don’t seem to understand the menu, and were not very helpful at all. They really need to get their act together, because being in DIFC you expect a certain level of professionalism.Other than that the menu has a lot of good options, and their business lunch menu was a good portion compared to others in DIFC.However the place itself is really pricey, if you’re on the fence I would go to Zuma.

We went to Clap in DIFC early on a weekday and sat outside. Because of the restrictions, the tables were very far from each other, so we had a very nice sense of privacy. The view was very lovely and the weather was perfect. The food was very good. It was not an aw inspiring food, but was certainly very good and priced reasonably considering the location.We tried their signature drinks and all were happy with our selections: The Jazu, Gin Zing, Wassap, and Takushi Ride, all very refreshing.The Clap Cloud was very different and unique and we all enjoyed them immensely. Something we will order again and again.Salmon crispy Rice was good, not amazing, but good.The Wagyu Beef and Foi Gras Gyoza was OK, but nothing to write home about.The beef in the Wagyu Beef Stone Bowl was very tender, but the whole dish was somewhat tasteless (last time they put the whole sauce in it and it was way too salty, this time we asked for 1/2 of the sauce and it was very bland).The Rolls were good, specially the Wagyu Beef Roll, but the Nigiri were cut too thin, we could see the wasabi under the fish, so very average for Nigiri.The Yellow Tail sashimi our way had a good flavor to it and was well enjoyed.Overall, not a bad place to go if you want to try something new.

I went there for lunch with a friend and their food is very tasteful and plated in an elegant way.The location is big, originally furnished, with a terrace with a beautiful view of Dubai skyscrapers. Clap is divided in two areas: one for dining and the other one is more kind of lounge.The staff was super kind and proactive, when they discovered we were there to celebrate our birthday, they plated our mochi into a colourful fruit platter 😍Thank you Patrick for your careful service!I will defenetly comeback again.

It is challenging to be located on the Podium next to best in town restaurants... LPM, Gaia, Cipriani, Avli, BB SD ... so the experienced owner decided to impress with deco more than food! It is a Club finally where local happy few come to drink and party.

This restaurant gets mixed reviews. I’m not sure what the problem is but even my friends can’t agree if they like it or not. I just went for the first time and tried their business lunch and liked it. The design and views are excellent. Strange name for a restaurant though...I have yet to try the standard manu items.

My favorite place in dubai by far in terms of food and atmosphere. The food is absolutely succulent, even better than the food in Clap beirut. They have a wide variety of cocktails too. The black cod bites are a must try, so are the fried rice bites with salmon and the one with tuna.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing staff, we loved it but we were disappointed that after two hours we had to vacate the table and there was no provision to have a drink at the bar or any other area. We have to finish up and leave the restaurant. It was not a cheap bill and we did not like the abrupt end. For that reason we would not eat here again, we would have happily continued at the bar area

Drove for 45 minutes with a confirmed reservation. Friends are waiting inside. Yet they didnt let me in because of a dress code, AND THEY NEVER INFORMED ME EARLIER!!!!This is a joke. I explained it to them that i came from far away, yet there was no respect. They told me to leave in a dry manner.I will never come back, i am a paying customer, you are not giving me free food.My first day of the weekend is ruined because of it.Disgraceful, inhumane and disrespectful. They were looking at me like I was a 3rd degree human.YOU RUN A RESTAURANT THAT SERVES FOOD! REMEMBER THAT!

Food is really ordinary. Not even that tasty. Chef used too much sauce, which covered the original flavour of the seafood. All the sauces just tasted very sweet. They all tasted the same at the end. The decor is ok. But it is not that supersizingly nice, since they are many nicely decorated restaurants in Dubai, especially in DIFC. The service is fine for my table. The waitress was very keen to take the comments. I would have given 2 star if was not because of that friendly waitress.Definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend that restaurant.

I’m not a big fan of Japanese cuisine and a vegetarian but when I saw that they had a separate two page menu if vegetarian dishes I decided to recommend it to my friends and six of us went for dinner.The ambiance and views are excellent. We had a great waitress Robyn take care of us and her service and recommendations for some dishes were great. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty and had the right flavour compared to the traditional boring Japanese dishes.Unfortunately, we had over stayed our time allocation for the table but the Manager Ms Ghada Ajib gave us some extension to complete our deserts. She was very polite and professional in her approach and we fully appreciated that.We will certainly be going again to this reduced and my wife and I who are vegetarians, we throughly enjoyed all the food and the service.

Had an extremely disappointing first experience here. To start off, my guest and I had arrived right on time to our reservation to find out that there elevators were not working, so we had to wait 20 minutes before we even got upstairs. Then when we finally got to our table and we tried to order, we were told by our waiter that the kitchen’s gas wasn’t working so everything we ordered other than raw sushi wasn’t available.This was obviously unacceptable so we had to wait another 20 minutes before the gas started working again and we could order.Additionally, as it was our first time, we wanted to order the signature “clap cloud” dish but were told that all clap cloud dishes were out of stock... on a weekday, early in the night...Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, 2 hours on the dot from our original reservation time, the manager had the audacity to ask us to leave for the next dinner party even though we didn’t even receive our first dish until an hour after we arrived.The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because the dishes that we did receive were very good, and we were given a table I requested on our booking. While I’m sure these events were an anomaly, they were nonetheless unacceptable given the caliber of the establishment. We were also never apologized to for all the inconveniences.

I had a dinner in clap few times and I was always very happy happy. I personally love Japanese food and I always love to try new restaurants. The quality of the fish is amazing , the atmosphere is elegant and relaxed and the view is beautiful! Also the service, that for me is very very important ( in my opinion at the same level of the food ) was always good! Definitely recommend!!

Dubai always sets the bar when it comes to the various Japanese fusion restaurants available in the city and we decided to try one of the newer restaurants ClapService: overall the service was exceptional and expected from a high caliber restaurant based in DIFCFood: I love places that have a huge selection of food and we had a selection of sushi , ceviche and some of the recommended cold dishes, however, the food was pretty average in comparison to the other restaurants in DubaiPrice: this is where we were shocked, for only two people we had our bill go up to 1400 which is double what we usually pay in places like Zuma and Nobu which are more established and similar selection of food.Had the price been better we would have given this restaurant a four star review

The restaurant has a great atmospehere with modern interiors. The food is below average. We are expecting that the quality is the same as zuma but it wasnt. The quality of their seafood is poor. Reif is even better. The main course selection is less. they have more light bites in their menu. The service is a failure. Seems like the managers and server is not well trained. The european waitress seems like she doesnt know what shes doing. No manners and common sense at all. I was still eating and i still have a food on my plate but she wants to clear it right away without even asking! Its a simple common sense. One lady with red shoes was also annoying as she stands close to our table for a long time like security. We spend at your restaurant ordered food and drinks. Our table wasnt empty. If you want to check something just approach us and ask if everything is ok rather than stand like a security. Your stiffness is awkward. You have to be natural and genuine if you are working in hospitality or food and beverage

Very bad experience had a reservations weeks before they cancelled it suddenly without a notice. We confirmed our reservations. The receptionist Called Rabea’a at the entrance is very unprofessional and being racist with US. unrespectful at all wouldnt come back to this place because of this person.

I visited clap for lunch, the over all experience was ( ok ). The service and the atmosphere was good. But the food was average, had much better taste in other restaurants in dubai. Also it’s over priced.I think this restaurant is over rated.

I called on 3rd on march to reserve a table on 4th but it was fully booked I checked the Thursday after and also was full booked then She confirmed my reservation on 18th. I called on 17th to confirm my reservation and she said I have no reservation which really bad to feel that you are unwanted even if it could be the receptionist mistake. They even not try to check why this happened just saying I have No reservation!For me that was very bad customer service!!

Very nice view from outside. However the food wasnt good at all. The drinks were literally water. The staff not so nice. And the manager even decided to help by calling us to make stuff better, but no call till now. All in all, Good to try it once for experience only. Rather go to zuma in the area.

I love this restaurant ! The management, especially Liliana , is absolutely wonderful and the service is excellent! I’ve been twice now for dinner and loved each experience. The entire staff is so kind, timely and the food is just exceptional! Definitely would recommend this place !

Great, atmospheric restaurant and bar with a nice view of the DIFC area. I particularly enjoy their amiable service and cocktails (Above the Clouds is the one to have). Very reminiscent of Zuma nearby but more spacious, with a terrace area.

The place and food are amazing but the service and organization are nothing but miserable.Reservation management is ZERO, a queue at the entrance was forming due to lack of organization not that the place was full.Not enough heaters for the outdoor area although it is stunning to sit in.I will definitely go there again but I’ll give them a couple of months to pull their s*** together.

Located close to Amazonico and next to Shangai Me in DIFC, Clap which is a Beirut import brand certainly met my expectations. Dubai which ready has some amazing Japanese restaurants such as Roka, Play, Zuma, Nobu etc, Clap is a great addition to the Dubais growing love for Japanese cuisine. Ambience, Service and food was outstanding. Unfortunately Music was not being played due to the latest Covid rules. Otherwise the place would have had even better vibe had the Music been allowed to be played. Would definitely return to this place! KUDOS TO THE CLAP MANAGEMENT:)
