Its a well-stocked, well-managed hypermarket in the workers residential quarters of Al Qouz. All basic provisions (foodstuffs, household stuffs etc) are available here. And also clothing, kitchen ware, cheap electronics etc.

Cheats! They will have a price tag on display and another price when paying. Very bad customer service and nothing short of cheats. I have 2 bad experiences to report. First was about some 3-4 months back. I bought a 500 ml Miranda with a price tag on the shelf and printed on the bottle @5 AED, which means the maximum retail price must not exceed the printed value. When I paid they charged me 5.25 AED in the name of VAT. As everybody knows, under no circumstances, the actual price shall not exceed the MRP. But here they overcharged printed MRP. If this isnt cheating then what is cheating? The second incident happened today evening at around 7 pm. Similar one but this time with fresh fish. I bought a small kingfish fresh. First of all, there was no price tag on display for this one but all others have. And when I asked they weighed in and said 19 AED. They never bothered to tell me extra VAT applicable, neither did any of the price tags displayed on other fish mentioned VAT additional. Even on the weighing machine it showed only 18.98 AED without any indication for additional VAT. When I paid with a 20 AED note and I was expecting the balance One AED. But to my dismay, the cashier was looking the other way without giving me any change. So I asked for change and then only I was told there is VAT extra and my payment is 20 AED. WHAT A WAY TO CHEAT CUSTOMERS! Obscure methods being employed! So, I asked for cancellation and requestted for refund and the cashier called in another guy, started a drama, like this is cut and so ”they” will not take it! My cash is just in Al-madina cash box and when requested a refund within seconds, look how the drama is started to unfold? Al-madina pretend that fish stall inside their shop is ”they”, means some different entity. Then he wants me to follow him to ask ”them” if they said VAT extra, why should his verification is my trouble? Does the customer dont have any right to return of goods sold even before leaving the cash counter? I will have to have that checked with the concerned authority. Additionally when I refuse to go with him, he took possession of the fish and went. In the end I am left in the crowd as a laughing stock having my hard-earned money changed hands for nothing and I left to save my honor having forsaken 20 AED to the greed of Al-Madina. AL MADINA IS CHEATS EMPLOYS OBSCURE MEANS TO LOOT THE CUSTOMERS!

Talking on the basis of the size and availability its quite a contender for the nearby hypermakerts. Prices, are more or less mediocre to their competition. There is also Pickup and Drop service for those who require. Everything else is well and good but I believe more in customer service, I have experienced some being loyal and polite to only those who are regular and well to do customers while others are not treated with the service that is expected on the contrary there are others who are very adamant of their responsibilities.
