Ive travelled twice from RAK to this salon to have my hair cut by Mony. It is my understanding the Mony primarily serves Arabic speaking customers. However, her limited English and my non-existent Arabic were not a barrier in communicating what I wanted. Ive had great cuts both times that really brought my curls back to life. The rest of the staff are lovely and really welcoming as well.

First time a hair dressed Understood the nature of my hair! And I didn’t walk out with 2 uneven sides 😊 the ladies made extra effort to ensure my comfort, took me through the steps as they executed! Would totally recommend to all the curly girls!! You would fall in love with your curls.❤️

Amazing experience. Took My 2.5 year old daughter there and she felt very comfortable getting a cut and styling there. Im impressed with their amazing vision and how they empower young girls to embrace their natural hair from a young age 👏👏

The employees are very kind and professional especially girlie and i didn’t get the name of the lovely lady that was at the reception but they were both very nice and very professional. I did a hair treatment deep conditioning specifically it was really good my curls are refreshed they were quite damaged. Only one complaint it’s a little overpriced.

I had an amazing experience at Curl Therapy. I spent almost an hour having my hair examined and explained what products needed for my. They also took me thru the wash process and how to apply products and drying as well. Also advise best products for hair and other products as well thatbsuits my hair needs.Overall was an amazing exp. Reasonably priced as well.

The results were excellent! I have been very hesitant to go to salons for a while as I am always concerned my needs won’t be catered to or have a stylist that wouldn’t know how to work on my fine curly hair. I was pleasantly impressed with The Curl Therapy approach and Sarah for listening to my needs to fix my hair — that I’ve been cutting myself for the last few years). The process took about a couple of hours, by first sharing my requirements and what I’d like to have fixed, followed by the dry cut (Rezo Style) by Sarah, then a wash hydrate and style with one of the other stylists. For the first time in a long time I felt like despite my fine curly hair that I do have a head full of hair. I have also then decided to go for a buzz cut which turned out nice, but could have been slightly sharper. I am not fussy about it much though as it was my first time going for a buzz cut and wanted to get a feel for it. Overall the experience was very good and I definitely will go again.

The Curl Therapy is simply the perfect place to learn how to love your curly hair, they are really passionate about what they are doing and they do it well. Its the first time I experience a hair salon where I am 100% completely happy and satisfied with the cut and treatment I got. They will help you choose the best product for your hair type and teach you how to take care of it step by step. I have always had curly hair but I have always staightened it because I dont know how to deal with it, but now I love my natural hair, thanks to The Curl Therapy

Prepare for an extensive review: I first went because I wanted a hair salon that was specifically for curly hair and that actually listened to what I want. The first thing you do when you walk in is say what you want and the main concern of the lovely women at this salon is what you want and what you are looking for. However, if you want to ask them to do whatever looks best on you that is also completely available. I opted for a middle ground where I had a photo of what I wanted but wanted it adjusted to my style. Of course they ask what you are there for, but if you ask them they will say what they recommend specifically for your hair in terms of treatment or care. Sara was amazing, she made sure to explain everything as she went along and answered all my questions. She was very focused on making sure she did what I asked for and what would suit me. I love my haircut and really appreciate the care I was given as well as the environment of the salon.

Got my hair colored , cut and styled by Julia , she dyed my hair red without bleach and it looked amazing highly recommended. Great and friendly staff , especially the receptionist.🤍will definitely re visit again ;)

I went in with rather high expectations. My hair used to be straight and has now become textured (2a/2b). The stylist was courteous and attentive, and gave me a lot of advice. The cut she gave me did not work for me, however. The styling left my hair (which is also very fine) very stiff and unnatural, as a result of way too much product. I explained this to the stylist but I didnt really get through, which was a huge let down. I expected to come out of it with a way to manage my textured hair better from a salon that claims to understand, but it wasnt to be it seems. This was just my experience though, and I wont be going back.

I had the most wonderful experience today at the curl therapy salon specialized for curly hair. They were very professional, punctual and so helpful. They gave me an amazing transformational haircut along with styling and the best part is that they taught me how to look after my curls and which products to use and how to use it, which by the way were very affordable brands. For the very first time my curls looked so healthy and so soft. I am definitely going back in a couple of months for a hair trim and I am already looking forward!

Don’t ever come here! This was the worst haircut experience I have ever had. Firstly, I made an appointment specifically with Mony and when I arrived she made a big fuss about how she can’t cut wavy/less curly hair (even though she should be a qualified professional who knows how to cut all hair types, and on her page I saw that she cut hair types similar to mine). I tried to explain that my hair was straightened that day and the curls would come out when refreshed, she wouldn’t listen to me, and instead threw me on another stylist.The haircut was horrible and uneven, and I tried explaining many times that I want my hair to be the same length all around and instead was given sarcastic responses and the stylist continued to cut it unevenly. It was also cut much shorter than I requested in the form AND communicated verbally multiple times. After the diffuser was put on my head, the stylist just left the salon and my head was heating up. I asked the receptionist to call her back because I needed it to be removed. When she came back I smelt cigarette smoke. If I wasn’t in such a rush to just get out of there, I would have argued about having to pay for this horrible service. No matter how I try to style my hair it looks terrible.The staff were rude and unhelpful, and on top of all this the COVID safety regulations were not being followed. People in the salon had their masks off or were wearing them under their nose (staff included). The place looked unhygienic and there was hair on the table in front of me when I first sat down. The equipment was clearly not sanitized between customers. I will be complaining to the health authority, which can fine them.

My hair was really damaged and I needed a new lift/life, so I showed them a few pictures and they explained that textures are different and may not look the same, which I understood. The team was very informative, asked how comfortable I was with lengths and treated me so nicely.Would definitely recommend them, took their advice as well on the right product for my hair and I liked that they didnt sell anything to be, it was mainly to understand how my hair would react to a product. Definitely coming back!!

5 Reasons not to visit;1- nasty garlic-ish aroma filled the place.2- pervious customers’ hair covered EVERYTHING including the chair I sat on 🤮.3- almost broke my neck when having my hair washed by the hair stylist.4- 400aed for a hair trim that was B A S I C.5- don’t quote me on this but the hair scissors she used may be from the arts and crafts section.Bonus: the staff weren’t professional at all. I booked an appointment to go and cut my hair short. my mom was super against it but decided to come with me anyway. Having shown the style I wanted to hairstylist Mony, she suggested I leave it up to her because the cut I wanted would ruin my hair, and im so glad I listened to her!! the staff is so lovely and so helpful that my mom, who wasnt even going in for a service, ended up cutting her hair! thank you so much, I love it and will definitely be coming back

Sara was super friendly and professional at the same time. After the cut I was in a bit of a shock but its been a long time since my hair got a professional curl cut. I love my hair. I feel like it became so much lighter but full of life. Worth mentioning how relaxing the whole process was.

I booked for highlights and haircut. Mony did the haircut and Khrystyna did the highlights. I love that Khrystyna is very patient with me and very accommodating. She’s very sweet. Mony gave my hair so much body with my new haircut, it’s the shortest I had so far but I’m so in love with my new hair rn. It’s something new! ♥️

I really enjoyed the service I got here. The place is peaceful and the staff are nice and helpful. They’re adhering to safety guidelines as well which made me feel safe. The only thing I didn’t like was how the products sold are more expensive than other places. Otherwise, I think the amount of work that went into my haircut and style justifies the price asked. If there is anyone who is sick and tired or doing all the chemical treatment for managing their frizzy curly hair then do not wait pls go to Curl Therapy… I do not know where to start. My hunt for 42 years to find someone who can help me with my frizzy hair finally ended when I found about curl therapy. I read all the reviews and took the decision to meet the team and get their service anyway … try my luck. I got my advice from Ms Khrystyna who was recommended by Ms Anesthesia who is lovely lady. I told Ms Khrystyna about my concerns and she explained to me that i can end my struggle with My hair in very simple few steps; a good cut to remove all damaged hair from my previous 6 years of keratin and need good products…… again I got scared products … 😌 I was expecting a long list of items which I may need to use but I was surprised when she told I need only a shampoo, conditioner and mouse and of course a diffuser… I agreed and decided to go with her advice for a cut which I did not want to begin with as my hair was long for the first time in my life that much, she made me realize how important it was to remove the damaged hair to revise the strength of my hair and she promised me not to cut too short and she show how much she will actually cut … I reluctantly agreed thinking that like any other stylist she will say that she will not cut short … but she actually did not cut too short, she removed the tail end of my hair which was necessary to chop and gave me good cut which gave volume and length…. 😀… proceeded with wash with shampoo, conditioner and mouse then diffuser…. at end I could not recognize me as it was a totally new me which I really liked… 🙌🙌🙌….. my family and friends all liked my refreshed new healthy looking hair. I decided to write this big review as it is very genuine and hope someone else will benefit by reading my experience….. Thank you very much Curl Therpay for the service they offered me… I am totally amazed with my results 😘

THE Worst experience of my life. They are so called curly hair stylist but they ruined my hairs and shape with an awful cut. If you wish to look like Dora the explorer and gain 20 years : go there! On the 12th of January 2021 I walked into the salon hoping for some advice on how to really take care of my curls. I walked out with an amazing haircut, revitalized curls and some good advice and products to aid me at home. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone who wants to rock their natural curls.

If youve got wavy/curly hair and are on the fence about whether you should make the switch to this salon, this is your sign to do it!! Ive been wearing my hair curly for a few years now and have been to multiple curly stylists, but Sara was my first in Dubai. The quality of my cut was great, she consistently checked in to make sure we were going in a direction I wanted (with length, framing, etc.), and generally had me walking out the door really happy with the look!Ive been considering curly bangs for some time now but stylists usually cast some doubt on whether it would suit me - Sara didnt hesitate when I asked for her opinion and just started thinking about how she would do it for my face and hair part. I do look for that in a curly salon - you want a stylist that will encourage you to do what makes you feel good and just personalize it to your hair to help you get there!Just a note though: if you are getting bangs, you might want to ask to have them dry in the salon the same way that you dry at home so you know what theyll look like on the daily. I airdry at home but it was diffused in the salon, so it looks just a little different after the wash. very minor issue overall!

The first time I’ve been happy with how my hair has been cut and styled curly! If you have curly hair, this is the place to go to - most of them have curly hair themselves so they understand exactly how to handle our crazy curls! My hair was cut dry, curl by curl, and hardly any products were put in it yet I still achieved the most defined curls I’ve ever had. Thank you Curl Therapy I’ll be back!

I dont typically write reviews, but I loved my experience at The Curl Therapy so much! Sara was lovely to chat with and she helped me understand my hair and the need to prioritize health over length without judgement. I was restricted on time, though, and when we noticed we were running late she had NO issues whatsoever with my request for a stylist change so I could be done faster. I loved how accommodating the staff here are, and how friendly, yet professional, they are. 100% will be coming again when my curls need a boost!

Sara is so friendly and nice, she took the time to listen to me and understand exactly what I want. She also helped me with recommendation of products, but without any push 😃I did trimming and a bit of styling, i wanted some color but as per the advice of Christina I decided not to, as i dont want any bleach, and again they didn’t push me to do an extra service (coloring) they gave my the right advice!

This is the second time I’ve had my hair cut here. The first time was really good. For this cut I decided to change from the curl by curl cut. This was my first Rezo cut. I decided to do it because the layering is more even and should give a better shape than normal curl by curl cuts that I’ve been getting for close on 10 years now. The stylist confirmed this what the cut would be like. But my final cut was extremely uneven. Much more than any deva inspired cut I’ve had. The left side , right side and back of my head all look quite different. The layers are short on the top, the longest layers don’t really connect to the shorter ones. The cut looks very 80’s. They did offer to fix it but I won’t go back. For now I’d much rather just tie my hair up until And let it grow out for a few months. If you do go here I’d recommend the curl by curl cuts which they do quite well , definitely not the rezo cut.

We arrived on time as per our appointment , but they only took care of us 30 min later. The place is not clean at all. Dirty and dusty floor and equipment. It is Not organised with hair products on the floor and all over the place. The owner/hairdressers are not permanently wearing the mask. Plus the service delivered was not up to the promise nor up the value we paid. Definitly we don’t recommend

The ladies at the salon were nice, but I wasnt at all happy with my cut, even though she spent 3 hours cutting each curl individually. It seemed good the day it was done, with all the hair products used and Dyson-ing at the end, but the next day I washed my hair myself I could see a clear difference in the length on both sides. Had to trim the extra length on one side myself. Will acknowledge the time and effort put into the cut, but sadly all for nothing. Disappointed overall.

The first time I came to the curl therapy, I decided to never change my parlourThis place literally saved my hair from all the damage it had been through by straightening and using the wrong products. They also inspired me to be patient with my hair and love my curls.Ive been coming here for more than a year and went exactly according to what Sara had suggested me to do and educated me with the type of product thats best suitable for my hair.She told me to stop using heat and use the products she suggested. Seriously disappointed!!!First, I booked 3 weeks ago with Sara, I discover her mom there for my appointment, nice lady but not the one I came to this place for.The cut is a disaster, one side is longer than the other. I had to pay another service else where again 2 days after.Not even a glass of water was offered to me while the lady was holding her cup of tea.The process was not explained to me, the product used for the curls were not explained at all.The result was disappointing, had some curls but after 15 min it became flat.I was expecting to have an explanation about how to maintain my curls, the shampoos I have to use, the daily routine etc but I had nothing ... they just asked me to pay the 400 aed.So disappointing, I was supposed to bring my daughter the day after but I didnt and will never recommend this place to anyone.

I visited The Curl Therapy salon on 18th Feb 2021 after following them on social media for the last few months. I was excited to finally give my curls the nourishment they deserve.I was greeted by Sara at the reception, after which Mouny proceeded to do my haircut/hairstyling. Even though Mouny usually caters to the arabic-speaking customers, Sara helped with translating my requirements and vice versa. I had a lovely time at the salon watching as they gave shape to my curls, and defined them so beautifully. Sara gave me suggestions on the products I should use as well, and I bought 3 of them! (I did do my research as well prior to visiting the salon so I have a better idea of the products they use)I walked away feeling confident, after a very long time.I would highly recommend anyone with a curly head to visit their salon! :)

I was there first time & from begining I feld so welcome there:)I had cut/trim with Mony - she is really amazing & so kind soul & even if I don’t speak Arabic - we had no problem understand each other and she did exactly what I asked for:)Than Khrystyna styled my hair. I have been living in Dubai for 5 months. I conducted some serious research into the curly hairdressers - mainly Instagram & Facebook to see the results of their cuts, as well as forums. I settled on giving The Curl Therapy a go as they came out on top for me in my research. I loved my experience. It was very different to what I have been used to in Australia. I found it to be more personal and dedicated to making my hair (fine, 3A hair) look its best. In addition, the salon is very eco friendly and completely against any form of animal testing in any product (including silk pillowcases). Sara cut my hair. She was incredibly thorough, completely funky & wanted the best for me and my hair. I am confident I have found my new hairdresser!

Sarah is a nice lady who seems to know about curly hair and dealing with it, she answered all my questions, and carefully worked with my hair but honestly i had higher expectations of my haircut, i had a medium length healthy hair, asked for lots and lots of layers while keeping its length, but i only ended up with 2, and it was shorter than expected, couldve turned out to be much much better, my hair was not damaged at all and ive been taking care of it for a whole year so i wouldnt expect it to be cut that much, but my main concern wasnt the length but rather the layers, i wouldnt mind short hair if i could see at least 3-5 layers.my conclusion is that my hair is thick and dealing with thick hair is hard and needs more attention and experience, styling was pretty nice and i liked the products that were used for my hairi tried to kinda accept it but i know that it could have been much better since i handed out a perfectly healthy hair but it is what it is

Long review incoming! About two weeks ago, I went for a cut to Curl Therapy, after quite a bit of online research and recommendations from various people including curly girl influencers in Dubai. I was excited as there arent many. Its not my first curly cut, so I know what to expect. My experience at Curl Therapy was disappointing to say the least. I had booked with Sarah. For AED400, I expect personalised service from my stylist, for her to take me through the products, why shes using them, how to wash and use stylers, how to achieve my hair goals, etc. But I got none of that. The consultation and cut was fine. She was friendly and answered my questions well. But once she was done cutting, she passed me on to someone else to wash my hair. Didnt seem like this lady knew anything about hair, let alone curly hair. She just randomly scrunched in some products (not even in sections or upside down as you normally would, especially for fine wavy hair), then she put in some metal prongs for volume (I could tell by looking at them that it was going to cause bends in my hair) and put me under a drier. No one checked on me or asked if I was okay, I wasnt even offered a coffee or water. Several times I had to adjust the drier myself as it was too hot. My stylist told me she would use the denman brush for definition, which I was excited about, but she obviously forgot.  Because for nearly an hour, she sat with her friends and took Instagram videos (I know because I saw them on IG!). My hair looked absolutely horrendous when it was dry. Zero definition, zero volume, ugly bends in the front. I would NEVER go out anywhere with my hair looking like that. And have NEVER walked out of a salon looking like that. And she tried to convince me that my hair just naturally lacked definition. Yes, I agree dont have the most defined waves but my hair looked a hundred times better the next day when I had styled it myself. Ive waited to see how my hair settled after two weeks and Im so unhappy. Its stringy at the bottom (back) as the layers are too high - lots of disconnected layers, heavy top. Ive just had to cut my hair myself for more balance and fullness.I was asked to fill in a form on arrival, so the stylist could get a bit more info on my hair goals, etc. The form was still at the reception counter when I left. When I asked questions, I was given advice and suggestions so Im sure the stylist is trained and knows her stuff. But she definitely needs to learn a thing or two about customer service - to listen to what the client wants, what their long term goals are and how she can help them with her expertise. Safe to say I wont be going back there again or recommending them to anyone. A real shame, as I was super excited that another Lorraine Massey graduate was finally in Dubai.

The hair stylist seems clueless how to cut short curly hair and my sister ended up with bald spots, spiky hair on her head crown and some longer hair on the back of her head. Disastrous! The stylist even said that this is what you wanted rather than fixing a hair cut to the hair type - isnt that what a stylist is supposed to do!? What put the cherry on top as well is that the stylist had no mask the whole time and didnt adhere to covid regulations.

Perfection. This is the world to describe Saras work on my curls. Ive started my hair transition from straighteners and chemical treatments 10 months ago, during quarantine. I had wet cut and the shape of my haircut once dried have always been a chaotic for my curly hair. Sara decided to go for a REZO CUT, which is a DRY CUT and the result is stunning. She took into consideration what I wanted, which was not clear and I let her express her creativity and use her expertise in my hair. My only request : dont go too short. I wanted my curls to breathe and thats what happened ! I am beyond happy. What I loved about Sara is that she gave me precious advice and she was explaining what she was doing. All the products are clean and natural, so I wanted to buy everything. She is so kind and she clearly does not want to sell just to sell. She gave me free samples and a set for a manucure as a gift.
