I am blonde and found it really hard to find a proper place and stylist who knew what to do with my hair, Rhiann has totally made me feel comfortable and I can’t imagine anyone else doing my hair.

I’ve been going to this place for 3 years. It’s obvious that the pandemic changed their priorities and they care more about money than retaining their clients. I went for a hair color and a cut. The cut was so bad and I only realized after leaving so I had to go to another salon to fix it. On top of that, they did a service that I didn’t ask for and charged me for it, they even charged me for toner! Even though hair coloring always includes toner. Extremely disappointed and disgusted. We’re in a pandemic and they’re acting like people should just hand them money! They definitely lost me as a client. They’re are so many salons that actually care about clients satisfaction.

I have been seeing Maria for over 10 years for my colour. She is the absolute best. Aside from her unmatched skill and lovely relaxed nature, the salon is perfectly set up for post-pandemic hygiene and social distancing with temperature checks, limited numbers of stylists and clients, constant cleaning and masks and gloves. Despite the restrictions, Maria and her team have made the experience as close to normal and relaxing as possible. I am quite happy to forego nails and waxing (hello husbands razor) right now, but there is nothing like a fresh cut and colour to feel lovely again (and its not something Id attempt without Maria!). Thank you, Maria and your amazing team, for working so hard and considerately to help your clients stay safe and feel beautiful at this time, we are so grateful.

Rhiann was fantastic, the salon fitted me in last minute for full head of highlights before my holiday. I had been to another salon previously which was not great at all for blondes and Rhiann brought my blonde back to bright and beautiful. Colour was exactly what I asked for and super close to the roots as I like it. The salon itself has a nice vibe and all the staff are super friendly. Also had the best head massage of my life!! Maria Dowling salon is the only place I will go for hair colour in the future.

I love my pixie cut done by Aneesa, she understood what I wanted and actually made it better! Not all stylists are very skilled in cutting short haircuts, and I dont want to take a risk of someone butchering my hair. Wow! Yesterday was my first visit to Maria and I am so very very impressed on every level. Maria and I discussed my hair at length before we agreed on a plan and I felt confident that she really listened as well as sharing her extensive knowledge. I’m so grateful to the master Yulia, as she literally made my dream come true!I went through several saloons with the same request to get me back from the dark brown color (which I kept for many years) to my natural dark blond. Nobody was ready to do that or even sanely explain me how it is possible.Yulia took her time with me, and I got an impression that she really understood what I wanted and what needed to be done with my hair. I have been to Maria for over 20 years. I remember the first visit vividly. I sat in a chair while she worked with a client and I noticed that she was quietly Observing my hair, skin tone etc. so when I say in the chair, she’d already decided how and what I might like to do. The results were stunning and The color of my eyes stood out. I got compliments on my hair all over the world , from airport checkins to shopping assistants. Over the years together we have changed styles and colour all with great results . The salon is a real ‘grown up ‘ sanctuary of professionalism with a warm personal welcome from all the support team, and a great head massage too.Yesterday I visited with a real need for a makeover and decisions to make re the encroaching silver areas appearing! We jointly decided after much debate and I am really happy with the results ! Thank you Maria and the fabulous team .

It was my first time to go to Maria Dowling yesterday. My friend recommended it to me but it was difficult to get an appointment as they’re always fully booked. Finally I had the chance and it was a pleasant experience. The place is neat and spacious. They kept social distancing. Most of all I loved the outcome of my haircut. Anissa really did a great job. I like that she was meticulous and not in a hurry. I will definitely keep MariaDowling as my go to Salon from now on, in fact I’m going back for hair color in few days. Fantastic service from Zay! She was professional, friendly and a downright sweetheart who understood exactly what I wanted ( and didn’t try to convince me to get a haircut as most stylists would do :) ). Very happy with the results. The salon is clean and lovely.

I went to the salon for haircut and highlights. The highlights look amazing. However after washing my hair the next day, I wasn’t satisfied with the bangs and cut. Soon the salon reached out to me to apologise and understand the concern. Moreover they insisted on giving them a chance to correct it. When I went back to the salon, Maria was very hospitable to make corrections. I’m quite satisfied and happy with my look now. I really appreciate the client centric approach of the salon and would highly recommend it for any type of hair services, specially if you’re looking for a hair transformation.

This is the best hair salon in Dubai. I’ve tried so many hair salons here and they are filled with ppl who don’t understand hair cutting, styling or colour specific to people’s hair types. These are professional people who know what they are doing. They follow strict guidelines for cleanliness and their receptionist is very organised and polite. I was lucky to get an appointment with Maria Dowling in March last year and have never ever missed an appointment since... she’s is amazing! A master of colour! All that is said about her is true!! I tried Balyage for the first time and absolutely love my hair and my husband actually noticed that I got my hair done which hasn’t happened in years!!

I have been visiting Maria dowling since 2017 and have never been disappointed, every time i am there, i really feel comfortable and welcome, the staff really care and understand your hair requirements and take time to ensure you are satisfied with the results. Aneesa colored and cut my very thick and might I say damaged hair and it looks amazing. Absolutely loved the work she did! Also had Zay for a consultation on extensions and she was the sweetest. Looking forward to going back and getting extensions installed and making Maria Dowling my go to salon!

Zay managed to take my overgrown dull brown hair and turn it into a gorgeous textured blond lob! She managed to take it at least 5 levels lighter without damaging it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to go from brunette to blond, your in safe hands!

I approached this Salon after a bad Coloring episode somewhere else. The entire team is very warm and accommodating. Starting from the receptionist, who tries to get down all the details and my needs to the best, to my colourist Yulia who was patient and gave the best possible solution without beating around the bush... I am quite impressed and going back there for a long time to come.

I could not be happier with how my hair turned out! Aneesa used a balayage technique for coloring, and it is exactly what I was hoping for. It looks super natural and feels even healthier compared to when I came in. I was worried that using bleach would damage my hair, but their Olaplex products prevent this. She also trimmed the dead ends, styled the front, and was generally very patient with me as I went back and forth on what I wanted. All staff wore face masks, and were very respectful of Ramadan. I would 100% recommend Aneesa and the Maria Dowling studio for both locals and expats.

A trip to Maria’s is like a mini-vacation, where you leave with beautiful hair and a spring in your step.Maria’s team are exceptional at making her clients feel welcome and the attention to detail throughout the salon is considerable. One of the best Salon I have visited so far in Dubai. Firstly the booking process was very easy. The person who gives an appointment clearly asks what we need. They send a WhatsApp message and ask us to share a picture of our current hair and a picture of what we are expecting to be done (just an expectation, for the team to understand what we are looking for), based on this they will provide an estimate cost, if we are ok with this we can book an appointment. We are then informed who our stylist is. I really like this as no Salon provides this accurately and the initial appointment process is one of the easiest i have found.My stylist was Yulia, she was amazing. She had a detailed chat with me to understand what i need and then provided her suggestion. Her suggestion was really good, very honest and true to what would suit rather than just to please the client.None of the people in the Salon push for services, they will orovide fair suggestion and advise along with what will be suitable for our hair (honest even to advise what would be damaging for the hair and what not to go for). The salon was very clean. I had an early appointment so even got my tea there, they have a good menu to order from 😀.I have booked my 2nd appointment for hair color and cut, definetly going back. Had a fantastic experience last week coloring my hair with Yulia. First she took time to know me and understand my hair coloring story , came up with few suggestions and did color trial prior to coloring full head . It’s not easy to make the warm blonde color I wanted as my hair was already colored blonde but with a bit of greenish ashy tint , however Yulia managed to do the color I wanted and gave me a lot of valuable advice on taking care of colored hair . It’s a great place ,knowledgeable stylists ,so I highly recommend Maria Dowling.

I’ve waited until I’ve washed my hair a couple of times before I wrote this review. In most cases your hair looks great when you leave the salon but a week later it’s a total mess.This is NOT the case here. Not only did she (Yulia) manage to restore my natural colour for my roots she managed to give me a balayage without burning my hair. You might think that this goes without saying but in my experience with salons in Dubai, you can pay a lot of money for what it essentially a look for a day and then spend a fortune to treat your hair or worse having to have it cut. If you’re reading this (like I did before choosing this salon) there is a reason it’s so highly rated. They know what they are doing.

Had a cut and colour with Sophie. Really pleased with it. The salon felt very safe. Everyone wore gloves and masks with hand sanitizer available and lots of space between other clients. Nice to feel a bit of normality return to my life with a visit to the hairdressers possible again.

I have been visiting Maria Dowling since 2008. Team is highly skilled, professional and truly caring. I love that I get so many tips about caring for my hair at home while I am in the chair. I love how peaceful and professional the salon is. Always had a good outcome. Love the salon. Love the team.

I moved to Dubai about 2 years back and have been going to the salon for about that long first with one of the other stylist but she went back home so for the last year have been going to Maria in person for my colour and hair. The service is excellent and even in these time of Covid the salon provides a very safe and well protected environment . All the staff are very professional and friendly. Maria is a wizard with colour. I have gone through some drastic changes of colour this last year and she was fantastic a huge thumbs up 👍👍👍

Although having to wait over 3 months, due to the Covid 19 restrictions, I was able to see the end of my CORONA HAIR. I was again able to visit the Maria Dowling Salon, where Maria and her team were as welcoming as ever. My daughters and I have been seeing Maria for over 20 years and believe she is the best when it comes to colouring, highlighting and styling. The safety protocols of face masks, gloves and temperatures checks, are a small price to pay. Whether you have a good head of hair or wispy tendrils like mine, (I suffer thin, fine hair), at the end of every appointment, I always feel ready to face the world. A big Thank you to Maria and her team.

Yesterday i had the best time ever!!! Thanks to Rhiann she just made my day, by her professional approach and advices she knew exactly what i wanted and she executed perfectly and by the way she didnt leave me even for a second ,she was checking on me all the time so that was perfect( thats is amazing).My hair cut and my highlights were AMAZING and cant thank her enough.After 13 years in Dubai and experience many disasters I found the perfect person.Do not hesitate at all and just go to Rhiann will be blown away like I was yesterday.Xoxo.

I have been eyeing for a couple of top rated salons here in Dubai for more than a month. And Maria Dowling caught my attention. I have never felt more relaxed and in good hands! I honestly do not put trust to any hairstylist except for my ex-partner haha! And moreso have my very long curly hair being cut by other people! But with MDowling and a very accommodating and friendly staff Yulia I did put my trust on her cutting my hair short after 2 decades! Thank you! And hope to be back for more hair expert advises! I am visiting Dubai and was so nervous about using a new salon for the first time but I had read all the reviews and zeroed in on Maria dowling salon . My fabulous stylist was the very warm and lovely Rihaan and she did an amazing job,from to listening to what I wanted and then delivering better than what I wanted . When I came back home my family was thrilled with the new cut and colour and now they all want to go to her . The team was fab too . From the time I took the appointment to when I left - super attentive and not rushed at all . Thanks Rihaan for my fab cut and more so for a super fun time and amazing experience ! They all made me feel so comfortable , I felt I have been going there for years ! Yeah I got my stylist in Dubai sorted !!!!

WOW!!!! What a fabulous salon. Sophie did an exceptional job. She was attentive, listened to my needs and provided valuable advice. I walked in with a disgraceful mess of hair and walked out with style and spunk!

I am very picky when it comes to my hair and I have to say that I have always been super happy with the haircuts received at Maria Dowling’s salon...either with Rebecca or Rhiann, both professional and lovely personalities. I wouldn’t go anywhere else !!Everyone else from reception to colorist to shampoo ... all so friendly and welcoming !!

Definitely my favorite hair salon in Dubai. I recently went from long and dark to short and blonde, and Sophie has done an amazing job! The salon is very clean, and all of the staff are lovely. I would definitely recommend.

So very very happy with how the cut and the colour has turned out, still getting used to the compliments..Rhiann was the designer and the architect of the hairstyle. she was knowledgable, meticulous and fun to talk to ;)I have black hair, only took one round of bleaching and the hair still looks and feels healthy.- Eva

As always I’ve had the best experience at Maria Dowling. Every seat and equipment used was sanitized upon my arrival, and all the staff and clients were wearing masks. I felt I was in a super safe environment. Thanks for taking such good care of us!

I have been visiting the salon for over a year now and i am very much pleased with my experience. Their professionalism & dedication are highly appreciated . My pretty hair stylist Yulia has done a great job with my locks ( color & botox ) and i just love it . I highly recommend her and the salon.
