I lost the difference in rent and the cost of anew mattress because WEST ELM never delivered the complete bed I purchased in April until now!!!! I have been calling them and trying to reach them every week since June and nothing happened, they keep promising me to deliver it and nothing happens. I cannot refund my purchase because I already purchased a customized mattress to match this bed.

I made a furniture order and had issues with the delivery.Apparently I had to make a online chat for 4 times, had 3 calls for my order.The answer was they(service or delivery team) will contact you (7 times),not confirming the delivery date.I am on the 8th day and still without my order and cannot believe that this is happening in Dubai 🤣Funny thing is during the whole period , I didnt get a single call, email, message back that my delivery is confirmed.🤣🤣🤣🤣Is it a joke? I would say this is the first low leveled and unqualified service I have ever experienced in Dubai.

One star goes to Alshaya which, from my understanding, provides the customer service for West Elm UAE. For five days they have been unable to activate my account, FIVE DAYS! I cannot shop online and use my promo code, and Ive had to follow up on my case repeatedly without even the slightest effort from their side. Each and every single time, I was told that the IT department would contact me on the same day - and yet never did. Not once. I opened three accounts and every time I did not received the activation email it says I should - clearly an issue there.

Beware of their delivery system and Partial Deliveries!!!Bought 4 pieces of furniture, only 2 showed up (the cheapest of the 4) and they had the audacity to mark my order as fully delivered on their system. Call after call they keep telling me that the delivery will come after a few days.....weeks later I still havent received my items. Would not recommend West Elm!

We visited the Dubai Mall branch for a wedding gift and had the best customer service ever. Pratima, the sales lady was an excellent staff. I wanted to thank her face to face however she was on her day off when we went the next day to collect our shopping. I talked to the store manager who was a very lovely lady also and she made sure that my feedback and thanks would be passed on to Ms. Pratima. Great job you guys!

Very disappointing shopping experience. I was there for over an hour with multiple shopping assistants choosing bedding only to realise when I was home that nothing fits. I called the store and they told me the their ‘king’ size bedding is different to the usual Dubai standard ‘king’ bedding. Why none of the assistance thought to tell me this is beyond me. So a complete was of my time in the store and waste of time driving back to return the products. Also they said it’ll take up to 3 weeks to get my money back. Would never go back.

5 stars for Aya who took the time to give me interior design advice and made some good recommendations. Unfortunately the size of the rug I needed was not available in store although was available in their warehouse so I will have to purchase online. It is a same due to stock allocation the store lost out on the sale that Aya worked towards.

Nice furniture collections but terrible customer service. Purchased a lot of furniture at their Dubai Mall location in March, among them a mirror and an ottoman, which we are still waiting to be delivered for 2 months. Called customer service, the store, sent e-mails to customer service so many times that we already lost count but no one can give us a clear response when our order will be delivered and no one wants to take responsibility. Every time we are being told that they are looking into it and someone will call us soon to schedule a delivery but nothing happens. I will never shop at this store again.

DISGUSTING SERVICEWhen ordering my furniture I was advised the order would be received within 10 days, it has now been 1 month and I have still not received my item. 15 days after my order the delivery people arrived with a base of the table with no table top and tried to tell me that this was the full table and leave it at my home. They told me they had raised a complaint with customer care and I could expect a call within 1 hour.I then called the next day and the complaint had not been raised. I made a complaint whilst on the phone and was told I would have an update within 24 hours. I then called a week later as I was busy at work and the helpline closes at 6pm. They again did not understand what I was taking about and did not have an update on my order. I called twice this day as updates I was promised I again did not receive I asked to speak to the manager and never got an answer or a call back from the manager or superior. I then called today to complain about this and was told my item is now out of stock and can not get a confirmed date as to when it will be back in stock or delivered to me. I would never use this company again and I have never had such a bad experience with a company in my life.

Never again!!! Better shop somewhere else!!Paid for my furniture on May 22th and received it on 9 Jul!!! Two months just to receive a small cabinet. Their delivery people ALWAYS arrive when you are not at home despite informing customer service COUNTLESS times that you are not available at that time, basically the drivers will deliver at THIER preferred time!! And if you dare to argue with the driver they will basically tell you to go pound sand!! And customer service is totally useless giving you fake promises and telling that they will resolve the issue only to find out that they never did anything and you are left at the mercy of their rude delivery people. Absolute joke of a customer service for a Premium furniture store....

HORRIBLE experience. I have placed my order on 27th May, delivery date says 10 days, but it took me endless phone calls, emails and messages to get my order delivered 21 days later.AED 4,593.75 worth items arrived heavily damaged, with marble stone table chopped in multiple places, covered in glue and oil, wood in pieces and velvet material scratched on the chairs.No assembly was provided, even though terms and conditions say its included. The order was dropped in boxes and it took additional 3 days to make them come back and put the things together.No compensation was ever offered, instead I am facing 2 additional weeks of waiting for the faulty items to be replaced.In addition after the complaint West Elm customer service advised me to do their job and call the delivery guy to find out if he damaged the items.Its funny how they label themselves as premium store, since I surely had a more premium shopping experience at IKEA. This is the last time I am purchasing anything from this amateur so called store and I will make sure not to advise anyone supporting this circus business.

Beautiful furniture, worst customer service!I had placed a big order online and received the worst delivery service I have experienced in Dubai. There was zero communication from the team and a lack of effort to get my order delivered. After many efforts back and forth (me continuously calling them), I finally told them deliver my furniture now or cancel and give me a refund. Funny enough - my furniture was here within the hour.

West Elm Dubai has all the characteristics of a company about to go out of business. Very few items actually in stock compared to what is available on their website.They take your money for out of stock items. They take weeks to tell you that the item is not available then weeks again to refund your money. Calls are a waste of time and fill you with regret and frustration. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.

If you are planning to purchase online order, you should know what issues I am facing that probably you will too.Unlike West Elm USA, Alshaya ME does not take care of orders or customers. From West Elm products are shipped to Middle East Warehouses, and from warehouse, it goes to customer houses without damage control. Thats how two times I received damaged chairs, table and console, with back and force and promises from phone customer support, that by the way based in Kuwait, that this time they will send furniture in perfect condition, yet again I got same damaged items.To get a refund, I had to call every day, face different people from customer service saying that they will handle it, and never received calls back from them.Another problem, on the website, products can be available to purchase. Still, it is not in the warehouse, so they called me to reschedule for next week, claiming the system error, and eventually, no one delivered this missing item from the order. Again I need to call every day to follow up on what is going on with these items, and no one knows until I have given up and just asked to refund it, which is also, as you read above, not easy.I love West Elm store, but its a shame that it is poorly handled in the Middle East with Alshaya.

No calls from company with an explanation or apology. Now waiting 6 days and no delivery. Called the company many times and no-one ever answers. If there was a zero stars rating I would give it.

Terrible services. We bought the coffee table with few other stuff in April and still hasnt been delivered. We already went to the shop and complained 3 times and they are just changing delivery date and nothing has been delivered. Ikea is providing much better services for 1/3 of the price. We also try to call many times customer services and noone is picking up.

Honestly, the furniture is nice, however the delivery is extremely unacceptable. Seems like West Elm entirely doesnt have a distribution system. It is not worthy for the price for your horrified delivery service. I dont think I will come back again.I ordered a chandelier and four dining chairs in the Dubai mall store, while after 2 weeks they just delivered chairs but forgot the chandelier, then after reschedule again and again, they still got the wrong date to deliver. (e.g. I scheduled Sunday, they set out to deliver on Friday which I was not at home) So this kind of reschedule was again and agin. Do they have communication gap???Its been over one month, the chandelier still hasnt been delivered yet, and the service department told me now they even dont know where is the chandelier. Unbelieveable !!

After you messed the delivery up, you sent me sms saying that was delivered when it was clearly not and you then sent me an email thanking me for collecting from the store. Is this a joke? The ramadan sale is now over across Dubai and I have to buy a table full price for your incompetence!!! Thats unbelievable!I expect a full refund, including the useless delivery fee of AED 100 that I paid and an extra bonus to be able to buy a table full price now!!!Worst customer service!

Deceiving delivery for lighting.I bought a chandelier because the product page on the website states “White Glove Delivery” and lists installation. On receiving the item, it was simply delivered and not installed. So I paid an excessive 100 dirhams delivery and waited 10 days for nothing. When you dig through the FAQs, it lists some lighting as exceptions to assembly and installation. Never buying again!

Dear All i would like to inform about my buying experience and the poor customer service experience with West Elm Dubai Mall. The experience has been so bad that i have now filed an official complaint with Consumerrights with DED. Quality issue with the dining table whereof the paint is falling off and after the inspection team arrived and confirmed that replacement is needed 1 month passed and no follow up and nill response from them with the replacement. I have now followed up via Email 5 times to West Elm Dubai Mall with fairly firm emails and simply no response received so far. I have now requested full refund and compensation and will wait for DED to take the necessary steps to ensure that the Alshaya owned store will get their act together and process the refund in full.

This rating is for their Customer Service. Not the products.The reason I go back to them is because I like their products. But Ordering online is a big issue that still they are facing... You need to chase them to understand the ETA, you have to call 3 different numbers and they end up giving you wrong information. Happened several times.Also - 10 days to deliver within Dubai when the product is 20minutes from my house is unacceptable for a brand like this and a group like Alshaya. Your operations and logistics needs to get better by a ton if you want to keep up the customer experience. You cannot take a week and cannot even dispatch your items... Your KPIs are clearly not aligned with the customer expectation.

I bought a rug and a dining table. The buying experience was good since I was assisted the whole time though the staffs time were obviously divided because of less manpower I guess. (Im very understanding and patient)The problem started when I opened the rug that I bought, I just noticed that there was a big hole and it was a wool rug. Arriving at the store with the rug as I want to have it replaced, all the staff looked very busy as it was an hour before closing. The customer service was terribly poor, no one seemed to be in the mood to assist me. I was looking for a display rug as replacement and I asked one of the staff to help me check as there might be damage that I dont see again and he didnt bother to help me. He just said this is display piece, what you see there thats it but I cannot help you anymore. Ignored him because I was not in the MOOD to argue. I had to rant to the Manager and later on he apologized and gave me his attention finally and assisted me. Tried to understand that theyre probably all tired already.Second, my dining table was delivered yesterday with some sort of a hard glue on top of it. The delivery guy took a note on the delivery note and took a photo of it. We tried to remove it with oil in front of the delivery guy but it was really hard it wasnt removed. The delivery guy said that he already informed someone and the technician will come to fix it. Story short, no one came!Tried to call customer service, the store that no once picks-up. Another customer service number that said they no longer handle furniture complaints. Send the photo to the guy who sold me the dining table and he asked me to remove it with Pledge. I mean, cmon!Today, I called another customer service number and fortunately I felt relieved talking to Wisam of customer service whos doing all he can to solve the issue. The guy I bought the table from also called, we all talked to each other whos in-charge of who and what they need to do BUT all this hassle....Now I have to wait IF my dining table will be replaced.I like what I bought but the whole experience was just exhausting.

Ordered two table lamp and asked many times about the delivery date and they assured me it will be in store for pick up today Thursday. After calling them many times they could not manage to stick to their delivery date although i specifically asked them not to delay it as i have a deadline to meet! Still they could not bring the items and are suggesting i maybe will get them on Saturday not even Friday! This is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable!! When i have clearly stated that i have a deadline to meet for my client and their answer is “oh we have a new system and the staff are not yet 100% sure how to order the items!!!!”You better educate your staff if you want to change the system. Cheap quality wood work with some weak parts installed, no paid repair service is provided after warranty expires, even with serial numbers and barcodes printed on the parts, their team couldnt even find the product on there systems (zero SKU management skills), you are expected to buy a new room every time something breaks, quality of drawer guides used (Hafele) is garbage. 17,000 AED down the drain.

I bought a couch from West Elm and after a week of using it I noticed a corner seam was coming loose and exposing the frame. Even though the furniture doesn’t have a warranty, this was a defect. I called customer service and after a couple emails w photos they sent a new couch in two days! Very good customer service and I cannot see how the other reviewers can give negative reviews.

UPDATE JUNE 1: No one contacted me yet from the shop and still with no money and no table......I purchased the dining table at West Elm, concrete table, unfortunately coating was peeling, I received 3 different tables all with the same issue, the shop has accepted the return of the table and confirmed to credit money to the card, I returned the table in February, 3 months passed and I did not receive the money yet, unfortunately no one is responding to my emails... Amazing collection of furniture. We spent 3 hours shopping for our home and were assisted by this amazingly patient salesperson called Norman. He moved so many pieces of furniture to ensure that we could see how the room would look with different combinations. We ordered everything on Thursday and are to receive the delivery in less than a week. We’re really pleased. Thank you Norman and West Elm!

Disappointing experience so far. Ordered 2 tables online. They seem to have a desire to call me almost every day. Why? Just deliver dont call. Delivery happened today, but one item was incorrect. I ordered 2 identical tables, one was different! I rejected the wrong item and asked when they would replace it. Thinking they would replace it tomorrow, oh no sir, it will take a week. OMG. Customer service needs major work. Oh, and every time they call they ask for my address, which was registered when I made the order! Sad update. They delivered half the item, yes half! Today they delivered the same half again. Guys, please, this is very frustrating. When can you deliver the item, its been weeks and weeks.

I then called the Al Shaya hotline (hold time ~30 minutes) 5 times to follow up. Okay, so its COVID-19 and customer service is disrupted. They told me wait until 12 May for your delivery. Today a guy just called me and told me they want me to pay by credit card or they will not deliver - and he doesnt know when they will deliver. Its just a joke. One of the most pathetic companies I have ever bought furniture from. I had scheduled a delivery and changed it. They acknowledged and confirmed they confirmed the new delivery date. On the day of delivery no one called or showed up and when I called them to ask what happened. They said they will call back in 10-15mins of course no one called and I had to call back in one hour. They said they had forgotten our delivery. I mean how can you forget to add a delivery which is confirmed. So we had to change the delivery of the mattress which we ordered as well because of this. The. I got hold of the manager and told him deliver it today he’s like tomorrow morning for sure. He’s like today I’m trying but it’ll be at midnight and I told him it’s okay I accept and he kept making excuses. All in all horrible experience and never again buying from them and he said we won’t compensate you at all do what you want. Pretty sad company.

Its been 21 days since the day I ordered 1 chair (which costed more than AED700) and still there is no news from them on my order. Terrible after sales service. I purchased a very small item (table napkins) on discount, found better ones at pottery barn, went back literally within 30 mins and asked if I could return them. They were super rigid and inflexible, even the manager. I understand that it was against their sale policy to offer refunds but I also know it’s never that rigid. He said the system won’t even accept it and when I asked if he could at least try, he said they don’t have to prove anything to the customer. Nice. A customer permanently lost and a bad review gained just for a ~100 dirham invoice? This is what you call bad training, bad judgement, inability to retain a customer and terrible after sales service. Never going back.Pottery Barn, however, although under the same patent company had far better service and attitude.

West elm’s collection of furniture and home decor is fresh and exciting. I have ordered several items from here over the past six months but I can’t recommend it. Their dubai mall branch service is very very poor. They do not answer phone calls or respond to emails. Their collection is limited and overpriced by at least 30% versus USD prices, yet I’ve always got a sense that they’re doing me a favour by selling to me. I’ve come across instances where the catalogue price is half of what in store prices are, just mistakes! Bad management! Some of the staff is good but again I can’t say that about the majority.Alshaya handles their deliveries in a spectacularly poor way; I had an order that took nearly 45 days to fulfill and when it finally came it was defective and had to be exchanged. The delivery staff is understaffed and overworked with only odd delivery timings available (mostly weekday mornings and afternoons). Again, bad management!I don’t ordinarily bother reviewing places badly but I received zero response from them so this is out of concern for other people. West elm is where a pretty good product is thoroughly destroyed by terrible service.

The worst customer service you can ever imagine. Horrible rude and untrained staff! I do not recommend! Not worth it. The experience is terrible. They do not attend to customers, they keep ignoring you and once you ask for any kind of service they are plain rude, walk away in the middle of conversation or interrupt you I am speechless! Bad!
