AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I rented a car of them in February 2021 for a 12 month contract. Its coming towards the end of August now and in that time, Ive had to swap cars 4 times, soon to be 5th and all have had problems from dints, stained seats to warning lights going off. But to make matters worse, theyve been taking double payments out of my account in July and August and they now owe me thousands of dihrams. The company are make it very obvious they do not care and they will not give the name of the managing director who Ive been told by the head of operations comes in once every 3 months and only speaks once a week. So please avoid this awful company and do your research properly when choosing a car rental company.

After 7 months of calls, emails, visiting their office and going to the police I received my deposit yesterday. On the website it clearly states 20 days after the car is returned, but it took them 7 months! The lies and excuses are non stop! Quick to take your money not so easy to get it back. Worst company in customer service and no clear contractual terms. They will take the security deposit from you in advance and say it is refundable after 24 days once their vehicle is returned back. Once you complete this tenure, then will say its 30 days and later it becomes 30 working days. Finally, when you complete 30 working days which is equal to 45 calendar days as per them (WOW!), they still wont refund. When you call them to enquire for your own money, they dont respond. When you write several emails they will respond saying there is no authorized signatory available for your payment approval. As if that is my problem?! Today, its the 53rd calendar day and I have no information when they will return my money. I will never ever recommend this company Carlease to anyone in future.

Very bad experience with sales service provider. About to return the car to discovery gardens and was not received information that they already closed the branch. Now they’re asking us to pay for the collection. No reminder, no assistance, no customer care, Nothing! very bad experience and was asking me why I complaint? This is the worst service provider of any kind that I have come across. For close to a year, they have not refunded my deposit and the customer service levels are abysmal. None of the updates they provide have been true so far and there is no proof that action is being taken. Multiple follow ups, social media posts and complaints result in no action. Numerous people have responded to social media posts that they have faced similar issues. I strongly discourage people from using this company.

Car rental process- positive 5 stars.Rental deposit process - negative 500 stars.6 months of chasing and emailing and shouting over phone calls. If it wasn’t because of a complaint logged with with Dubai Consumer, I would never see my deposit back in my bank.

I also was a victim same as others who have face issue, I was following up over the phone and email 4 months I didnt get the refund money security deposit 1500 and have deducted 1050 extra without my permission for additional 1 month rent money from my credit card. My friend check the review in Google and told me this company history is like this, then I lodged a complain in consumers rights online, within 4 days I got call from consumers right and they spoke to carlease agreed a date from carlease about my refund, I got my money today, thanks to consumer rights Dubai.

Worst company ever, I have been waiting for my deposit since July and still have not received it. They don’t respond to your calls or emails. They were so nice and friendly when I rented the car but to get my money back it’s a nightmare, it’s like I am begging them to give me my rights. Although they promised me that I would get my money back after I raised my concern about the reviews and they lied. I would not recommend for anyone to rent from these people as they will never give you your money back. I concur with many of the negative comments about Carlease. I had nothing but issues with customer Service since taking out a long term lease - thankfully the agreement is finished and Ive handed the car back. This was over 2 Months ago and to date they still havent refunded my deposit. I notice that many reviews reflect that they have not paid deposits back to honest people who hired Carlease vehicles in good faith. This is not a hire company I would recommend and will certainly not use it again.Update - still no deposit payment, like many.This is the worst hire car company I have ever come across. Do not be fooled by that false rating.

Horrible experience. I have been waiting for my deposit back for almost 6-7 months now and their tracker team keeps on delaying it. I highly recommend not doing any sort of business with this company and go for better international rent a car companies like Hertz.

Worst Car Rental Service Ever!!!(Not Returning the Deposit yet!)I Had rented a car for over 6 months since the beginning of this year and they always take the money from your credit card way ahead of time. like even 60 days ahead of your billing cycle will start. (I have proofs emails) also i had to file a case through the Bank to get the money back from Carlease. Every month the issue kept recurring so I cancelled my Credit Card, just because of Car Lease.Very Bad Customer Service, worst treatment, they also dont hesitate to yell at you when you ask for explanation for excess or wrong billing.and if there is a traffic violation penalty from RTA and Police, they charge you almost double the amount, they dont let you pay the penalty directly. but in my case i did not agree for that and after multiple argument, i paid the penalties directly to RTA / Police and did not pay them any extra.and the best part is that i have already returned the Car in an excellent condition. they confirmed that they have my deposit that they will refund me. but even after multiple reminder emails and calls, they just dont care. i am attaching a picture of email that i have sent them.

I rented a car for 10 months on a teacher deal from their branch in Al Quoz (Dubai) and persevered with a whole host of problems. Firstly, I was stung for accidental damage which I thought would have been covered in the rental costs. My courtesy car was a battered and bruised Chevrolet which in my opinion was not road worthy (one of the rear windows wouldnt stay closed...) and trying to change this car was something of a mission (refusal to respond to emails, phone calls etc was only the beginning...). I returned my car on July 13th and to this day (22nd August) I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned. They continue to feed me excuses and say its still under process and continually send clearly fake emails to the so-called Deposit Tracker Team to give you false sense of hope. I have filed a complaint to the DED which should hopefully sort out this hopeless and lacklustre company. Take your money elsewhere and avoid this company at all costs.

After more than a year of trying to get my deposit back I have been unable to get a response from the company. I have called visited their offices, sent emails, lodged complains yet they are still unable to refund my deposit. The organization and customer service are not honest or reliable and would highly recommend going with another company. Each and every-time I visit the office they tell me a different story and refuse to provide a point of contact to accelerate the issue.

Extremely disappointing experience. I rented a car in October for 2 weeks. Everything was fine until the moment I delivered it back. The payment and deposit was made upfront, as per their policy, however I am still waiting for the deposit amount to be returned to my account after 2 months of delivering the car back. According to their policy, the deposit amount must be returned to the client 21 business days after you return the car. This has not happened. As if this isnt upsetting enough, back in November my credit card was charged a random amount (around 1600 dirhams) under their name. This happened after office hours and nobody could explain me what happened or how and why my card was being used without my authorization. After chasing them incessantly, and without a written or verbal apology for several days, they returned the charged amount back to my credit card and without a reasonable explanation, simply mentioning it was a system mistake.For all the above I do not recommend Carlease Rent a Car. It was a terrible customer service experience and the nightmare isnt over yet since I am still waiting for the deposit amount to be returned after 2 long months.

Having been forced to return a car because its registration and insurance had expired, having a replacement that was fit for the scrap-yard and no return of the hired vehicle i cancelled the contract.As per the contract I paid the early cancellation fees without complaint.As per the contract, I should have had my deposit back 5 days ago - to date no-one has had the courtesy to return a phone-call or reply to an email to explain why my deposit remains illegally withheld.I used to recommend Carlease to everyone who asked, they even gave me a mug once in appreciation of my business.I would be hard-pressed now to recommend them to my worst enemy.UPDATE: 24hrs after this post I was advised that (despite all documents stating 20 days for deposit refund) it is 21 days, and then they want another 48hrs to do a double check on fines / salik etc to process it. Low and behold, nothing was refunded and no-one can tell me why...Update: We are now 12 days after the deposit was due, and I am pleased to be informed that my deposit refund is on the priority list, because apparently a fulfillment of contractual obligations requires a priority list. An absolute shambles of a company.Update: deposit was refunded 17 days after it became due. Whilst this appears to be quicker than quite a few reviewers, it required a non-stop bombardment of calls and emails to unresponsive staff to get there.

STAY AWAYWe rented a car and returned it on January 8,2020. We then had to send endless emails and WhatsApp msgs for our deposit to be returned, only to recieve responses asking us to provide our credit card details again so they can process the refund. After giving in to this unjustified request ( as they made copies of our credit card when we rented the car and we shouldn’t have to submit it again) nevertheless, we provided it and then had to sent multiple emails again to ask about our refund. We only received our refund 4 months later in May of 2020 with deductions for SALIK that took place after we returned the car. ABSOLUTE SCAM

Definite fraud! Do not use this company! I rented and returned a car from Carlease in January without fault or fines. A month later my card, as acknowledged by them, was charged an additional AED 1050 in error. It is now March and I am still waiting to receive my initial deposit of AED 1500 and the extra 1050 that was later charged for no reason. I have contacted them multiple times and they always say the same thing - Your refund is our priority we hope to get it to you by the end of the month or something to that effect. Still waiting.

Ok service. The car was clean and reliable. Representatives were friendly and cooperative. Remote locking/unlocking feature did not work. It was probably a depleted battery. When it came time to return the vehicle the facility was difficult to locate using the Smartdrive app. Despite these minor inconveniences, it was a positive experience

75 days after returning back the car, 25 emails, 100 phone calls (that most went unanswered) i have yet to get a glimpse of when i shall get my deposit back.As advised by many, your best way is to file a complaint at the DM consumer protection for a speedy action(note, the car was barely safe for driving, and was due for maintenance a couple of days after a month long lease and turned out to have an expired registration

The worst car rental in Dubai. Not customer service not quality control . I got a car with brakes on fail. Then they provide me a car with the car registration expired. I got a fine from the Dubai police and I had to pay. I am still fighting to get back my money for the fine and from the deposit.

After return my car in the of June 2019, because my company transferred me to Kuwait, and after paying 4000 aed as early end of contract , still I didnt receive my security deposit of 1500 aed.The most annoying, is the lack of total contact from anyone in Carlease Team.Every month Im sending an email asking for feedback. Customer service and other depts, are not replying at all.And we are now in Feb 2020, and no feedback.Now, March. Not able to get my money back. Total lack of respect to Customer.After 1 year ( now starting Jun 2020) no feedback and no refund.I advise you not to start any commercial relationship with this company.At first it looks like a 5 star service.As soon as you need some support, the boring starts.This was my testimony over the course of a year. Watch out, read carefully all the contract, though its not fair. Youll have to return the car on time and fast, but they will not give you the money back so fast. It will take you many days. Just read other reviews about it. Im really annoyed about that.

It’s been over five months since they have not paid my security deposit. This company should be shut down and reported to the authorities given that there are so many complaints about them not repaying security deposits. The staff aren’t bothered and are not willing to talk to you properly. Hats off to the management for crossing the benchmark for horrible service.

I have not received my Deposit Refund and when you call them, they say you have to send email to get your deposit (how come and it was not mention anywhere, just say that the deposit should come automatically after 20 working days but it is a lie). I already informed the DED and make a complain ! Stay away from this company, even if the prices are attractive, the hassle does not worth it.

Very poor Customer service response. they have been holding my Deposit amount for more than 2 weeks and giving general responses like Authorized signatory not available. It was a mistake to have approached them for Car Rental services.I returned the car on 8th April 2019 and till today dated 30/5/19 I am struggling to get the confirmation on reversal of deposit amount.Update 13/07/19: Finally got my Deposit back after 2 months, after complaining to DUBAI CONSUMER.I suggest all who does not get back their refund to register a complaint on CONSUMER RIGHTS DUBAI. Customer Service offered by Jett was five star. Unfortunately two months down the line I still havent received my deposit back. I had to chase them if they would be so kind to return my deposit. At first I was asked to chase the 3rd party company who handles their deposits. Sorry, thats a bad move in my books. After some convincing they agreed to chase them on my behalf. A few hours later I received an email asking for my bank account details - which I provided. Since then no reply. If the deposit would have been received back I would have given 5 stars. I do not find it fair when people gamble with my (and others peoples) money hoping that they will forget about it. Very sleazy ... wouldnt use them again because of this.UPDATE: refund has been received, changing from 1 star to 3 stars. Shame about this, otherwise would had been a good service.
