Worst 5stars hotel breakfast buffet ever... yes we are sad and disappointed too! Never expected it for Sofitel.Our 3 disappointing story and experience with Sofitel - Les Cuisines:We asked for egg benedict, the first one is like a boiled egg on top of the bread (1st disappointment).So we requested to replace it, so the replacement looks good and perfectly done but the taste was too sour that you can no longer eat it (I guess its not hollandaise but vinegardaise... 2nd disappointment) no exaggeration, this is very honest experience.The 3rd one, is about the Smoked Salmon... we asked to Chef for smoked salmon although its not displayed in the buffet but weve seen some of the guests who are having it, so we also ask to have few... First Chef said, we dont have it. So we said, hhhmmm... are you sure because were seeing it to some of the guests plate.. Then the Chef 1 ask the Chef 2, and they both replied We dont have it, but we will check... so one check it and get back saying we dont have it. Okay fine, we let it go to avoid arguments... After awhile, we saw again another table having a smoked salmon?! So whats going on!! Are they only selecting people if who they want to serve it?? So, we asked again for the last time.. and theres another Chef (chef#3) that we approached and explained the previous scenario... he also said he will check but hes very apologetic at the same time. And brought us the smoked salmon (as you can see in the photo) after we almost finish eating and about to leave. And theres another Chef who went to our table and say sorry as well as the other two Chefs that we encountered are under training. Cmon guys, youre Sofitel... you can do better than this! Were on pandemic now, if you cannot do your job well there are many others who lost their jobs who can do better and well deserved.Its just a simple egg request.. weve seen other review posted about worst sunny side-up.. And dont make an excuse about staff being under training, please.But on the brighter side, I appreciate the Canelé, youre the only hotel in UAE that serves canelé in a buffet (based on our 15yrs of dining experience) and thats the only food that we enjoyed that day.

Went there with friends for a brunch. The place is amazing. A place where you can chill while someone is playing and singing a soothing music and song. I like the sushi and seafoods especially the fish and shrimp and dessert. The dessert was perfect for me. I really enjoyed it. Only my friend didnt like the juice they served to him and didnt like the pasta that they made much and the beef was kinda dry maybe because we came late but over all experience was amazing. One must try his place, but dont skip the dessert. Itll be worth it. 😊

Went here on a Thursday evening at Les Cuisines. I thought it was an international buffet set up that night but I remembered it was Iftar so we got the Iftar buffet instead. I was not disappointed. It was awesome. I ejoyed the variety of Arabic food that was being offered. Personal favorite was the grilled prawns as well as the lamb. I had the watermelon juice and for dessert, I had halwa. Theres no shortage on sweets for the sweet tooth. They accept The Entertainer which was great. Street parking just right outside was plenty so it wasnt really a concern even on a busy day. Will go back again to try the international buffet next time.

Went to this place for iftar, which was a very bad experience. Most customers are families with small children, so it is very loud and chaotic.BUT, worse than that - the restaurant chooses to place the drinks on a knee-high counter. This led to kids going to the drinks counter, drinking of different glasses and putting them back for other guests to unknowingly drink. The wait staff were notified several times, but didnt remove any of drinks before we explicitely told them to do so. When we talked to the manager, he told us that he was aware of the problem but that he had no way of correcting it as kids will be kids apparently! He rejected all proposals for alternative placements of the drinks.Also people were allowed to walk around the buffet without masks, so both food and drink is unsanitary at Les Cuisines.2 stars as the food was actually okay.

I had iftar on 28th April and I can easily compare with some other restaurants:1- 220AED is too much for this kind of buffet2- very limited choice for buffet: ex: very limited choice in desserts3- juices finished very quickly and no refill4- service to imrpoved by adding more staffreally I strongly dont recommand it for Iftar buffet. for less price you can get much better choice

Not what you expect when you go to a Sofitel restaurant for dinner. Just a big cafeteria.

Went to a Friday brunch, but must say was dissapointed about it, though reviews were showing differently in other websites. First of all, it feels just a regular buffet lunch, not a brunch event at all, secondly food and drink choices were very very poor, atmosphere is also more like a hotel canteen rather than Friday brunch. However staff were friendly and helpful. It is ok to have lunch, but highly overpriced compared to what can you get for the same price on the other places, especially if you get voucher deals from groupon.ae.

Amazing staff, experience, shisha and food, all wih a nice price. Definately worth a visit
