Well nothing so far since weve been visiting past couple of years. With friends or family, one or many, its a perfect pub with great grub all the time. A typical English sports pub with dark tables, many TV screens and flags. They have great promotions for beers and traditional British dishes like roast or pies. We had the cuban pork sandwich and pork ribs. Both were amazingly delicious and the portion was huge, probably enough to share between two people if not too hungry. It was served with fresh chips and their pricing is pocket friendly.

I wish I would visit this place long ago.I love the atmosphere, style, huge portions of a tasty English food, big choice of a drinks, and plenty plenty of TVs showing football non stop.Billiard table is available for free.Variants of discounts, happy hours, buy 1 get 1 free promotions will make you love this place more.Recommended.

Great spot for English pub showing live sports on the tv! Hidden inside Byblos Hotel Tecom! The entrance is a little hard to navigate. They serve pork too! 🤩 Loved the traditional decor inside and staff seemed pleasant. However soft drinks are extortionately priced here!! 30 aed for a single serve of fountain Pepsi/coke! 🥴🥴 what has the world got to… pure greed here and daylight robbery! I was shocked about their prices of non-alcoholic and soft drinks. If it was premium drinks or something special I would understand however it wasn’t. Therefore I probably won’t return. There’s too many other options for English pubs in Dubai already.

Decent English bar for Deals especially Happy hours for relaxation off duty with uninterrupted vibes. Suitable location off Internet City Metro station and very close

Nice place to grab a pint. The bangers and mash was very tasty and the beer was cold. Dinner specials were very affordable as well.Monday was very busy because of quiz night but the staff was great at getting us inside when possible. Other nights I went were fine.

Really disappointed. The food used to be good and maybe I was unlucky but went last night and ordered the ribs and the sausage and mash. Worst dinner I have ever paid for. The ribs were smaller than ever and very salty and the mash and sausages were inedible. The gravy was like black tar. The mash was hard, cold and lumpy and the sausages could bounce. They were cheap, way too salty and had no other taste.The servers didnt care either! Wont be going back now after that.

What a disaster of a sports bar.If you are looking for that eww factor when eating pub food Crown and lion is the place for you. Who knew English food could get any worse.If you enjoy smelling the lads over a nice cold one look no further. Their most spacious booths can most closely be compared to a cozy tin of sardines. (We were 3 in a booth for 4 and beers werent that cold)If paying bills is your thing, guess what? The manager will harass you every 2 hours to close your bill. Better practice that credit card swipe.You will enjoy watching a game at your local electronics store more than you would at Crown & Lion.I hated it.

James the manager is a legend. Solid Pie night and food all round. Never had a bad meal, good happy hour and deals. Highly recommend

The English (great representation of your country: bravo) manager is supposed to be the one representing this cute bar and treating their customers with respect. It is clear that he is utilising his management role in the company and hiding behind the use of his bouncers and training them as his HOUND DOGS!We have been going to this bar for years, I went with all my family and friends for over 10 years, to say I am a regular is an understatement. All the staff have always been so friendly and kind to us as we go there weekly.Last night, we went there and the tall bouncer, who stands at the door (the only one to never have spoken to us, the other ones are so welcoming), decided to target my partner; instructing him to SIT DOWN, when he was just getting back from the bathroom; to consequentially lead the manager to gallop over in an aggressive manner; in the end saying that we could leave if we wanted and with no chance for a breath, he said to his security, TAKE HIM, which the BIG bouncer grabbed my partner by the arms over his head, pushing down to his neck, completely locking his upper body, where he cannot escape this pain! Pushing him to the door. (Please note that my partner was speaking in a calm respectful manner two these two men, who used their authority as a weapon!).Now his back and neck are damaged. However, you can see some pictures here where the bouncer grabbed him. I am shocked that people in a hospitality establishment can treat a human being like this? My partner is Arabic and is so kind hearted and respectful every time he went there and the other staff recognise him and treat him like a respected customer. He did not deserve this treatment. Like I said above, we have been going there long time now and this MANAGER and this security guard are the only two in the whole place who have never spoken or greeted us; so now we know why!From the previous reviews here, it is CLEAR that there is an accusation of racism to this certain security guard and MANAGER. You want to treat people like this? Then please for the peoples sake, do not work here in this respected country, it is not how it works!Message to the manager: after reading this, I am sure you have heightened yourself with your power trip and egoistical mindset, so at least you have had an increase in something.

The staff are well organized with a good service and so friendly. The food is really good higly recommend the fish and chips, all the food is a good portion size

Perfect place for you and your mates to come have a nice cold beer.Staff is very friendly and quick on their feet, the food is quite good.Wish there would be some music playing (Ive heard they play rock/classic rock/metal) but I guess theyve stopped due to covid restrictions.All in all, good place to have a chill evening

Fantastic roast dinners and drink selection, as good as it get when it comes to English style pubs in Dubai. However, the place is very smoky and you will leave smelling like like an ashtray. 😂.

Very good English pub in Barsha Heights. Very busy so thin about booking a table, especially with all the ongoing covid restrictions.Happy hour runs from 3 to 8 and they do specials 2 for 1 most nights.The fish and chips is to die for, one of the best in town.4 stars because not great for non smokers, the place smells quite a bit of cigarette smoke which isnt very pleasant when having food.

Excellent English breakfast! My sons have been before so knew what to expect - a generous size full English breakfast. Oh my and it was! Two eggs - we chose poached (could have had fried or scrambled), two pork sausages, two rashers of bacon, hash browns, baked beans, grilled tomato, toast and butter. Wow! Service was fast and food was hot. Friday morning and the pub wasnt busy but they seem organized. Only point against them was when they took our plates the waiter was a bit too keen to take place mats where we were resting our drinks - plus other items in the table. Id rather the plates removed and then be left to relax a while. Other than that good English breakfast dining experience.

Definitely the worst bar not just in Dubai, but the UAE. Management is outright rude and racist, we saw them deny entrance to people solely based on thier ethnicity, and asked us to leave our table midway through our drinks absolutely without any logical reason. Wouldnt recommend this bar even to my worst nemesis.

I went to this place last week. The place is Okay with no music. They have some happy hours going which is good for the pocket. I didnt like the food personally.

The bar has a lot of variety.Every day they have some events like live music and many more fun activities. We went on a Monday so its a quiz night. They will asks some question and the highest scorer will get a gift. Luckily we won a bottle of wine.The food menu is limited as its a pub. So you will get finger food with few starters. The price is perfect as per the quantity and quality.We ordered few burgers and prawn cocktails. The taste was really awesome and delicious. Food is really great pub food. I had the steak sandwich which was unreal and a huge portion. There are lots of drinks deals to be had, but all seem to be under terms and conditions which means they actually rarely apply. Service was great and there were plenty of screens showing different sports.

Quiet a noisy place ... happy hours need to be longer in line with most other places ...also this is one of the very few places that take your Bank Card if you wanna have a second or more drinks ( dunno why ) would most certainly NOT visit this place again.

We always have a great time here. Special shout-out to Vanessa whos always serving us with a smile and an amazing attitude. A real pleasure to deal with and an asset to your establishment!

I highly recommend to AVOID this place. Extremely rude staff, and unprofessional security agent. We were treated with a lot of disrespect for no reason. Security agents harass and intimidate clients as it seems they have nothing better to do. Avoid, there are a lot of other places to play pool in the aread!

Great casual bar with simple live music delivered from a few passionate fun loving musicians. Quiz night is not od fun and the happy hour is as good as it gets for Dubai. Great place to start your night before perhaps checking out some of the many great nightclubs in town. Enjoy 💜

I live right next door so crown and lion is perfect for me. the food is the best. I love pie nights. although I could do without the inconsiderate regulars who sneeze without wearing a mask. its not the pubs fault but some people are ridiculous 🙄!

We go often for the roast dinner but the standards are starting to slip.They had no ‘pigs in blankets’ so we said just put a sausage on the side and we’ll pay extra, they said no (why wouldn’t you want to make extra revenue.. strange)Then we’ve noticed that you get hardly any veg for 4 people anymore, so we asked for more and they said ‘well it’s buy one get one free, so this is the veg you get’. No point in doing an offer if you aren’t going to give enough food, would rather it just be normal price.The meat was also sub standard, very fatty and chewy.Not sure what’s happened but it’s disappointing.

Decent grub. Quick service. Daily lunch deals are pretty good value. Pool, darts and sports. Spacious enough so it doesnt get too smokey on the inside. Live music in the evenings can get a tad too loud if youre looking for a place to converse. Quiz night from 8:30pm every Monday is possibly the most long-drawn out Ive been to. It just seems to take forever to end.

Really shady establishment. Went there to watch some live music and was really enjoying it when both the manager/host and the bouncer told me extremely rudely that I have to buy something or leave. Upon telling him I dont drink, he proceeds to tell me he doesnt care and that this isnt a charity organization. Buy something or leave. Every one of my friends were buying drinks except me, and wouldve bought much more had I not been kicked out.So not only are they really rude to patrons, theyre really bad at business, specifically the airhead manager. Wont be going there again and will be discouraging everyone I know from doing so too.Absolutely trash behavior. FYI, the manager (or whatever) that night was English. I am appalled that someone would behave that way to someone else even if he didnt want to drink anything. Both the English airhead and Nigerian bouncer were super racist.

We ended up going here after our plans changed for the night. Has the traditional english pub ambiance with a good selection of tap beer. The live band was good although a bit loud for the space. The food was not to die for , expensive and there was a mix up in my order. The menu is mainly for pork lovers so would not recommend for non- pork eaters. Would go again only for drinks on a weekday as a quick escape but nothing more

Compete dump.staff were pleasant but my final bill I was overcharged 4 drinks. I realised after I paid. I questioned the manager and asked him to check. He just told me to get lost. Avoid this place at all cost.

A typical English bar with live entertainment and good food. I had the fish and chips which was prepared in an English style but the fish was under cooked. It gets a little loud because of the way the place is designed; ie lots of hard surfaces and low ceilings which causes reverberation. There is a good beer selection at happy hour.

Highly recommended, but before 5pm as you get an excellent Meal/Drink deal at this time. English Breakfast is to die for and its basically what I eat everytime I visit. Pool Table Pricey, as are the soft drinks compared to Alcoholic drinks which they do great deals on bulk purchases etc. Excellent TV coverage of any Sport you want to watch. There is a dress code of nothing Sleeveless/Vest. You have been warned....

This is an amazing place to go and enjoy a great social atmosphere, and finally be able to sit down in a glorious setting and be able to eat good food, great beverages, and most importantly watch live sport. We were there on the 12th of September.. they had a very bad band.. the sound system is a disaster.. next day a solo guy.. he was okay but bad sound system again.. otherwise its a good place if there is no live band or any loud music.. food is good tho
