Golden Dragon Restaurant has been around since the 90s. Growing up the restaurant was on of my family’s top choices for dining out, hence it is always nostalgic for me when I visit.Now located in Oud Metha with roomy well-lit interiors done up in an oriental theme. I like that they also have semi-private booths available, ideal for when dinning as a large group.For Starters, we ordered the Prawn Tom Yum Soup, Chicken Dragon Dumplings and Chicken Spring Rolls. Quite a few places go overboard with the Tom Yum Soup where the flavour is too strong and overpowering - in this case it was just perfect. The Dim Sum was excellent and went great with the accompanying sauce. Chicken Spring Rolls were nice and crispy.For mains, we ordered Steak with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce, Thai Chicken Red Curry with a side of Garlic Butter Fried Rice. The Red Curry is my go to comfort food and always puts a smile on my face. The Steak was nice and tender and not tough like a lot of other places. The Garlic flavoured rice served as the perfect side to soak up the flavours.For drinks, I ordered a Mango Mojito that was refreshing.Golden Dragon has maintained their quality and taste over the years, and that’s the reason why I keep coming back.

I hardly give reviews and I have tried chinese food in UAE many other restaurent but Golden Dragon Best in town for delivery and dine in. Specialy their Nasi goreng is a must try. Good luck team keepup de good work.

The place is huge, tables distanced properly, staff too courteous, available as n when required while not being pushy. I really like some space n privacy after being handed over the menu and thats exactly what I got here.Coming to the food, service is quick, portion size is great, but the taste could have been alot better. Hakka noodles was ok though, manchurian and schezwan rice needs alot of improvement.I would still give them a try once again and order a different set of things.

The food is good only for those who like spicy and fried food. There is mostly nothing they can prepare which is NOT spicy. In the choice of chicken everything is fried. If you have dietary requirements then your choice will be limited to some dumplings which have spicy stuffing.

The restaurant has gone to online ordering at the table. This was not very convenient and caused mix up in receiving the correct food. Also, food service was slower, as well as, obtaining the correct bill. Do not like the idea of no waiter to take order. Lastly, the noisy music made people talk louder, so the dining experience was unpleasant.

Great food but the problem with dine-in on a weekday is that youre almost always alone. And on one of those days the Manager was giving his team debrief over Zoom or phone or whatever like he was the only one there. He was pulling up people on ratings and allocating people to new assignments like cashier etc. And thats their Manager! These are things you do discreetly and not so your customers hear how you cook your food.However the food was very good the first time there and very average the second time. Thats off my list straight away.

This place is definitely not as advertised. Forget about every picture in the menu or on their social media...ALL FAKE...for example, check the pictures of the soup in their menu...then take a look at the soup they served me...unbelievable...I told the server that this wasnt whar I ordered a d he insisted that it was...the tenderloin beef with peppercorn was pictured in the menu as a dry crispy beef...they served me a gravy-filled goulash that was not at all what I was expecting...its supposed to be a Chinese/Thai restaurant...but its owned and operated by ALL INDIAN staff...I actually got chewed out by my wife for bringing her and my kids there...it had a good rating in Zomato so I usually trust their ratings...anyway bad experience...would not recommend

An Indo chinese restaurant. Good Food and Fast Service. A little expensive

For me and my family this is truly the BEST Chinese restaurant in the UAE. The food is simply amazing and the friendly, attentive and helpful service of all the staff adds to the appeal. They also have timings when there are discount offers. The flavour of all the food (about 50 dishes) we tried was simply perfect. It is hard to describe, one has to try it.

Visited golden dragon and I must say its an amazing place for Chineese lovers . They have a great variety of food items along with choice of spice level!I tried their Schezaun Chicken with Fried rice as main course and Malaysian Chicen Satay.I must say chicken Satay was one of the best !In Desserts I tried fried Ice creamFor coconut lovers it will be a real delight as it has chunks of coconut in itThey also have variety of juices and mojitos which are really very refreshingServing portions : Good enough for two Average eatersService : very hospitable and politeAmbience : great ! Ambience of the restaurant is good but they will not respect the time of the customer and they will speak us idiotic reason for the delay of food service.

Many bloggers and influencers promoted golden dragon due to which I went to try but I did not like the food or service at all... very poor chinese and very very poor service. I would not recommend it to anyone.. atleast until they train their staff or change the chef...

Went to this restaurant on the Recommendation of a friend.It was a nice experience because the service was excellent, food was served quickly and the taste was also very nice. we ordered Chicken Manchurian, chicken fried rice and Hakka Noodles all of them were very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wow .. just wow ..the lady there called Mahi is very good and very professional. Food is also good and cost affective.

We were disappointed this visit by the service. The service took a longgggg longgggg time. The food was good, yet the experience was affected by the delays (almost 90 minutes waiting for our order to be taken and served).

Food is superb, we enjoy chili corn much for the starter. Kudos to the chef Guffran Service is good. We will surely comeback.

Best Chinese food experience

A restaurant that has been in the industry for the past 24 years says a lot about how authentic and palatable. Cuisine ranges from Thai, Indonesia, Malaysia, Indian and Chinese. On veg side there were lot of Indian dishes with a twist. Focus is fully on Asian and Total justice. The restaurant is quite huge with a lot of Dragon carvings and ceiling lamps depicting Chinese art. Red and golden color combinations interiors. For families there is a lot private dining spaces.On the Drinks had Dragon Mint & Basil Shake. A very refreshing summer drink. Twisted the original Mint drink to a Shakelicious. On the Salad side had Lettuce Chicken Salad with spicy vinegar sauce when eaten together gives a total kick. On the Starters had the Dragon Chicken since its a family favourite and boy I found my soul in it. On the dumpling side had Street style Spicy Prawn dumpling with my favourite chilli sauce. Nothing can get better than this. PURE HEAVEN. For Main course had the Nasi Goreng. Its my first time and definitely for keeps. A very wholesome meal with Chicken Satay, Fried Egg and Prawns Cracker. The fried rice was spicy, Saucy and yummy.Will come here again for each one can get their favourite Asian dishes and everybody goes home Happy Tummy 😊

Went for Lunch today. One of the best places to have Authentic Chinese and Thai. The service was great and very polite and smiling staff.

As a frequent diner of Golden Dragon - Oud Metha, they serve a great variety of pan asian food. I highly recommend the spicy calamari! Their dishes are extremely flavourful & the service is lovely. Definitely worth the visit!

Very slow service. We had to wait for 30 mins for the appetisers to be served. The food quality is good, but the service needs to be improved a lot.

Such wonderful food and soo delicious. Accepts entertainer and has other good offers too. Definitely order the dragon pot rice which comes with gravy and rice in the same bowl but will keep you extremely satisfied. The food portions for main course are generous. And the ambiance is good too. The service staff are attentive and give good recommendations on the food and offers.

The food was really tasty with excellent ambience and service by the Staffs. Make sure you dine on saturdays or tuesdays to get the benefit of 30% discount on Food items. Food quality is OK but service is poorest. You need atleast 30-minutes just to order.

Excellent food taste and the Happy Hours deal is an fabulous initiative by the management as this has given as a chance to enjoy Chinese food frequently maybe 3-4 times a week as it falls within budget and we Savour all the possible varieties in the menu. So management should continue this facility ..and great restaurant for Chinese

Ordered the firecracker chicken which was really good, but spicy.I love spicy food, so it just perfect for me.For main course we had the garlic butter fried rice, dragon curry noodles, thai lemongrass chicken and tenderloin with black pepper sauce.Enjoyed the dragon curry noodles, it was like a red thai curry with noodles and it was the highlight of the night

I doubt if I liked anything besides the staffs hospitality and the coke float.... food was just not good... chicken Thai lemon grass had no lemon grass.. calamari and the chicken soup had a kinda stink... the dragon hot bowl was just ok but the mushrooms was as well a little under cooked....Quite a disappointment... but the staff was really welcoming... and the stars above is only for the staff...

One of the best value for money Chinese restaurants in Dubai. Its not a typical Indochinese menu and they have a mix of both authentic Chinese and Indochinese preparations. Competitively priced and good portion sizes. The Cantonese beef and the Asian chilli prawns are a must-have.
