This is one of the most beautiful fine dining restaurants ! You should give a visit it’s very nice and quiet , the atmosphere is romantic and decoration is wonderful ! Food was beyond perfection everything we ordered was delicious and unique , try the fish cod ! So yummm ! and if you love sushi you will definitely love this place , take your best friend or wife for an anniversary they will take good care of you .. the prices are so affordable it’s not that much expensive ! Also they take Fazaa or esaad i don’t remember ask them .. i’m craving their food now
As we stayed at Sofitel, we decided to try Taiko restaurant for dinner. It was an average food. The beginning with black garlic hummus was promising, but all next dishes were really lack of taste. Especially we were disapionting with beef yakitori. Price was like for wagyu, but we get tastless cheep beef cut. Carpaccio was over-salted. Recomended Daikon salad looked quite nice, but tastless, even with sauce.Service was helpfull and the coctails were really deliciuos. In overall not worth for money and there is a lot things to improve.
A contemporary Asian cuisine & bar, the first international outpost of Taiko, the award-winning restaurant in Amsterdam, created by Executive Chef, Schilo van Coevorden. Mixtures and combination of Asian and Arabian that may be over the edge for some (black garlic hummus). The sushi needs improvement. We tried the Otoro nigiri. While the fish was definitely of a very good quality, The amount of rice was too much and the wrong type of rice was used. Some dishes may be gimmicky but my overall experience was very good. Desserts were excellent. Decore and ambience is contemporary and elegant. However they need to slow down on the drum every time a guest enters. It is quite loud.
Very interesting concept, nice food and a beautiful space. The service is quite good, and food was nice and innovative. Needs a group to enjoy best!
I had one the best dinner date at Taiko restaurant with my husband ,the food is so delicious the staff are so friendly and very professional the place so clean and tidy and they sanitize everything after each use I would like to raise my recognition to Mr Mahmoud was very welcoming and friendly and ready to help and assist us thank you Taiko team we will definitely come back
By far the best restaurant we have been to after living in Dubai for 6 years. The amazing Iqbal took care of us and the attention to detail at Taiko was absolutely refined. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The food was fantastic and we cannot wait to return ! Thank you soo much. Compliments to the chef and the entire team at Taiko!!
Great food and ambiance, our waiter was friendly and attentive, we celebrated our anniversary and it was just the perfect time
Great to see Taiko joining the acclaimed international restaurants in the Dubai scene. It’s a great addition of the Asian fusion style food and up to a great start.Food is great with and wide variety of Asian food favorites and executed well. The staff are friendly and the environment is nice. This is the early days for this restaurant in town and can only improve from here.Similar to the sister restaurant in Amsterdam and definitely a place to visit.Well done and welcome to Dubai.
O M G!!! Super tasty food. The food is incredible, atmosphere is amazing, service is WOW! Big thank you to Peter , he is professional, we took his recommendations regards of food and drinks and we never regret.Big compliments to Chef and all team! Bravo 👏🏽Definitely, I will be back and for sure your restaurant is highly recommended !Thank you
Not your typical asian restaurant. Unique dishes with great flavors and price to match. Service is attentive, but not intrusive. Different ambience in the bar and the restaurant depending on your mood. Came here on a night where there were live drummers. Special gem in this area of Dubai. I definitely would come back.
Average nigiri, rolls and gunkan.Carpaccio seasoning wasnt good for me at all. Rock oysters were good.Below average yakitori.Overpriced for what it is.Nice place and very good service.Way overrated food.6/10.
It was my second time at this restaurant and this time it was to try the Iftar menu, the chef has done a phenomenal job and my most favourite dish here was the Wagyu Biryani! Can’t wait to head back soon but this time with my friends.
Terribly frustrating experience.Yesterday evening we went a group if 10 people to Taiko. In spite of the restaurant being completely empty, the dishes took FOREVER to arrive. When we complained about the speed, the explanation was that we ordered too much food and that the way we ordered (which was the same way we order anywhere) was inconsistent with their serving style. If they had a certain serving style nobody explained it to us before we started ordering. It was an utter fiasco. 90% of the time the table was empty and we were just waiting for the dishes to come to the table. I ordered 3 dishes, and a solid 30 minutes passed between each dish and the next. The waitress kept on telling us that we ordered too much food, and that the table did not have enough space for all the food. Despite that, our table remained empty 90% of the time as we waited for the next dish to arrive.A pregnant friend from our group ended up eating nothing because the dish came not as described and inconsistent with her dietary conditions after approximately a one-hour wait, at which point she elected not to wait for the corrected dish as it would probably entail waiting another hour. To add insult to injury the bill incorrectly still had the 2 dishes we cancelled due to this. All the while the waitress seemed completely unaware and oblivious of the horrendous night we were having. The manager finally came apologetically to offer us compensation in the form of dessert, coffee, martini Whiskey shots whatever you want ... it seemed too colloquial and informal ... not at all the level of professionalism you expect at a fine-dining establishment! All in all - inexplicably unpleasant experience!
Way way wayyy over rated! Service was good... nigiri/rolls very average!
The food was excellent, from the starters to the dessert it was really fantastic. Very tasteful, refined and an absolute must in Dubai. Only positive words about the Staff!
Stunning place! Incredible interior design and amazing service. So much attention to detail really sets this place apart.A truly memorable experience! Thank you
Service is horrible. The waiter gave wrong information about some ingredients to my pregnant wife. The food was late, at least 30 minutes later than usual.Drinks were late. They forgot to serve some dishes that we ordered. The waiter communication was not polite. Why would a waiter keep saying ‘ohh my God, you ordered too much food, whenever we ask her anything??’
Very friendly and helpful staff. Tasteful creative food.
The place needs a lot of work to be considered as fine dining, the dishes didn’t flow nicely, staff needs more refinement with how they speak and serve. Flavors are nice but sushi was not great. California maki felt wet and soft crab maki was very oily and not even warm. I wouldn’t bother coming again ....
Amazing experience as i dined at Taiko for the first time on December 5th.Quick overview of my experience:1) Decor - very high end and goof use of colors and lighting.2) Waiting Staff -Mark and James were great with recommendations and always ensuring we had everything we needed.3) Drinks - the drinks were absolutely delicious4) Food - a well diverse menu that gives plenty of options for all guests. My fiancé is not a fan of spice and is limited to other foods so having the diverse menu options made it easy for her to pick from. The options we picked (Sashimi, Sushi, Beef Tenderloin, Miso Black Cod, Dessert - Banana roll and Creme caramel) were amazing. we loved everything we selected.Would i go back? DEFINITELY!
Amazing,,Atmosphere, food, desert, starter, service, staffAll is great and memorable,,
Delicious food , great atmosphere , and amazing staff who really take care of all the details,
1 of the best restaurants in Dubai
Award winning contemporary Asian restaurant from Amsterdam to Dubai.
The best Place
Best Asian restaurant in Dubai ever
Great food and good view
For lovers and lovers of high-end Japanese restaurants .. and for lovers of sushi .. Tyco Dubai is a very suitable place for that .. It is located in the Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk Hotel .. next to Wafi Mall .. The restaurant offers Japanese dishes with an Arabic and international character .. It also offers types of wagyu and steak meats. The decor is elegant and beautiful .. The service is very excellent .. The food they have is beyond description .. I am not a fan of sushi .. But I liked sushi in my experience with them .. They have dishes of sweet and sweets in innovative and wonderful ways.
The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Sofitel Hotel, which is a general Asian restaurant and not a Japanese, as the brothers mentioned in previous reviews, and the restaurant in general offers a number of Asian dishes in a distinct contemporary way, in the midst of beautiful decorations and a relaxing atmosphere, but the prices are exaggerated compared to Asian restaurants Others are at the same level, as the bill for one person exceeds 400 dirhams, although the sushi dishes are in small quantities as they are calculated with grains, and the menu needs more variety and dishes. In general, the restaurant is good and worth a visit, and I rate it as follows: -Location: 4/5Interior design: 4/5Staff: 4/4Request list diversity: 2/4Taste: 5/5Service: 4/5Prices: 3/5
For lovers of Japanese cuisine, do not miss the TAIKO restaurant located in Dubai, specifically at the Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk Hotel ... near Wafi Mall ...The general atmosphere is wonderful ... the sessions are varied ... the service is excellent ... and most importantly the food they have is delicious ... and a restaurant suitable for families ...
I read the reviews and thought that there would be a long wait and some problems, but in fact everything went like in a good restaurant. Service 5 points, everyone was very attentive. We tried to sincerely help and suggest a good choice. Thanks to Rubina and Judo. All food is delicious, I advise you to take a dessert with a cat from Nigiri from Wagyu and Chocolate.
One of the best restaurants and Asian dishes in Dubai, the place is beautiful in the heart of the capital, Dubai, in the Sofitel Hotel, the place is beautiful and the decor is wonderful, the atmosphere and the music is very elegant, the restaurant is open and you can see the cooking in front of your eyes.
