It is a piece of art. The bridge that connects Abu Dhabi city to Dubai via E-11.It cannot be missed. To the east you can see the Shiekh Zayed Mosque and towards the west is the Gulf of Persia.

A modern style of Bridges and considered the 3rd Bridge connecting Abu Dhabi Island with the other part of the Emirate and also with the other Emirates. The Bridge helped those living outside the Island to freely move in and out as it has 4 lines in each side.

Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Zaha Hadid, the striking 842 metre-long, 64 metre-high Sheikh Zayed Bridge is said to be the most complex bridge ever built.

We drove across this bridge during our tour. While very functional it is also meant to be a work of art representing undulating sand dunes with its road decks suspended from symmetrical steel arches and forming a waveform-like silhouette. It is a bridge of definite engineering merit but I just cant see the dunes. Its a bridge to be seen, really well engineered. Its quite beautiful looking, and it was quite a pleasure to drive across it, during our visit to Abu Dhabi.

Always feel great to be there the beauty of this road is its design and lightning.

Beautiful bridge in Abu Dhabi between Abu Dhabi island and Abu Dhabi. There no observation deck or anything else for visitors but just available for crossing through vehicle.

The UAE has a highly mobile society that requires a new route around the Gulf south shore, connecting the three Emirates together. In 1967 a steel arch bridge was built to connect the fledgling city of Abu Dhabi island to the mainland, followed by a second bridge built in the seventies, connecting downstream at the south side of Abu Dhabi Island. The location of the new (third) Gateway Crossing, close to the first bridge, is critical in the development and completion of the highway system
