A walk through of Late Sheikh Zayed in different modes like words, pictures, art, to gain knowledge about his unforgettable efforts and life events.Staff is so humble and welcoming. I like the monument that build in park area. Some my camera clicks can be seen. There is a Marina Mall and corniche that you can visit on same track. A beautiful Emirates Palace is adjacent to this place.
I saw this place several times on my commute. Finally went there, I was very happy.Theres a big screen with a small black room where they show you small clips about UAE founder.Once you come out you can take a small walk to the constellation its an art work with threads and glasses. It looks really pretty with a view of Etihad tower and Emirates place.A nice place to relax and sit with your friends or in solitude!
Amazing piece of art. The architecture of it is simply stunning. The staff in the visitor center were all smiling and happy to see a baby entering and heading to see the monument. The whole infrastructure of this project is well thought through. And the fact this is a free place to visit should make it a must-see for any tourist (or resident/ local) of Abu Dhabi. We went there during the day and we were the only visitors which made the experience even more special. Id love to visit it at night one day.
We visited many amazing places, including the Founders Memorial. At first we werent really sure what it was, other than a unique architectural piece of work. We had been told about the Emirates Palace, the Presidential Palace, the Corniche, and many other things and places, but we came across this as we walked.It is very nice and impressive place. Close to this memorial there is a house where they show movies about Emirates foundation and etc. for free.It was close to our hotel so we went there few times. It is very impressive in evenings after sunset.
Simply inspiring! One of the best artistic representations Ive had an honor to witness. T6bis place is a must visit. Try to arrive by nightfall to observe the portrait of Sheikh Zayed incorporated into a stream of lights and suspended articles.In a weather worth dispensing yourself out, this is an example of a perfect place to just sit down an relax, enjoy the shrine like area and just think.
Beautiful memorial, lovely walk with a small water feature and lots of greenery. The 3D face sculpture of Sheikh Zayed is very impressive although better viewed from distance. There is a small indoor museum one room really where you can learn more about the founder through digital display. The memorial is beautifully constructed, from architectural point of view, I loved the clean lines and materials used. Also it was interesting to read about the greenery/shrubs/palm trees planted within, they all have a link to the desert life and the last. Most you can spend there is maybe 30 minutes but well worth the visit.

A magnificent tribute to the UAEs founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahayan, may he rest in peace.The monument insert which they refer to as the constellation, is a creative collection of geometric shapes that when viewed from certain angles and under the right lighting conditions will represent the face of Baba Zayed. It is set amongst a lovely open space with stone benches and planted with Ghaf trees, where one can sit down and relax for a while. There is a small water feature, and access is from several places .
As I walked, I felt more touched by what all one can do if there is a VISION! Much recommend.
We visited on 9th Aug. You can see constellation monument outside. But the visiter center is temporary closed although the website say nothing about this. There is one guy inside so we thought it opened. However, he told me it closed temporarily and had no idea when it reopens.
Amazing place, definitely worth the visit
A beautiful memorial celebrating the story of a great ruler and founder of a beautiful country and nation. Understanding the UAE is impossible without understanding the life of Sheikh Zayed and his deep religious faith, vision, determination and hard work; his generosity at home and abroad; his love to the environment and the way in which he devoted his life to the service of his people and the creation for a better world. The memorial gives a beautiful visual summary with narrations from people who witnessed achievements of the founder of the UAE. It is best to visit during the night time especially the external themed garden. Thank you Mr. Hashar al Dhahiri for guiding us through the visit and for the nice explanation.
This Memorial of Sheikh Zayed is situated near Etihad Towers, Abudhabi. Platonic solids are hanged in a pure architectural way to form the face of His Highness. A video clip of about 10-15 minutes about his contributions in bringing up UAE as today and the construction of the constellation later on is presented at the memorial.
My husband and I went around 30 min before sunset to see the lovely garden and read the information. We then went to the free visitors center and watched an interesting video about HH Sheikh Zayed. There is also a video about building the artwork called constellation. So amazing. Ola was our tour guide, a local from Abu Dhabi. I really loved the visit. The sun went down and the garden was amazing with everything lit up. Very peaceful.
Paying tribute to a legend, the Founders memorial provides a peaceful place great for introspection and reflection. It is tastefully designed and provides areas where one can listen to the late Sheikh Zayed quotes. The statue itself is breathtaking and the surrounding garden hosts a number of different trees. There is a giant modern architectural structure and the ground all covered in tiles. There were a few seats among the bushes where you can spend your evening in talk with your friends.

Always a quiet and peaceful walk through the memorial with fragrant flowers and trees and beautiful memorial space for the late Sheikh Zayed.The space is surprising since the Corniche street corner is quite busy and full of traffic. Parking is available adjacent to the visitor center.

Just next to the Emirates Palace, opposite Etihad Towers stands a something. Something looks like a statue of Crazy Geometry, but the only true statement is that it is a monument ...to be precise - the monument to the founder or Sheikh Zayed Memorial. The place is very nice, I liked it visually in general, there is a lot of greenery, lots of plants that look like some local species and around there is quite a lot of water in the canal.The monument is an installation of a multitude of geometric figures (probably glass?), which are suspended on strings and which form a three-dimensional, spatial portrait of Sheikh.The monument is new. It is from the beginning of 2018. However, I did not notice that it was passionately visited, although I passed it several times.It is worth to see the installation itself. Is pretty. It is called Constellation and its author is Ralph Helmick. I can not find out what these polyhedrons are made of ...The term crystals is used ... I would consider this an exaggeration, but it is UAE, so exaggeration is the order of the day. Who knows?A cool place to sit and relax but only at night. The visting of the monument is cool and these crystals on the sky really resemble stars. By day, unfortunately, there is no shadow - and at least as I was there - I felt like at hot pan. At night you can see fountains but in the day none of them worked ...

Fonder’s memorial is a short distance from the beach, it’s open from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm and the entry is free.

Very nice place near emirates Palace
A peaceful and beautiful place is the heart of the city. For those who look close there is quite a lot of bird and plant life. A lovely design that makes for an oasis of calm and reflection amid the hubbub of the city.
Great architectural design.
Friendly staff will greet you with a welcome glass of water and you are left to read and watch a small video outlining the Founders life. The actual art piece is an incredible construction seen best at night , another worthwhile activity, allow half an hour. Works best at night, the free tour is well worth it. Chance to discover more about the history of AD. A beautiful piece of art and a fitting tribute to the sheikh.
This is hands down, my favorite place in Abu Dhabi after the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. I do not want to write much as it may just spoil the experience of people visiting for the first time. If you read this review, just do not read or browse anything else about it, and just let it surprise you.Its beautiful, its elegant and its DYNAMIC. I know it does not make sense describing a memorial as dynamic, but wait before you see it. This memorial is so apt to the visionary the world knows as Sheikh Zayed. God bless him!PS: I really wish, they had left the old paining/sculptor there as well...the one which was there earlier. It was beautiful and symbolic in its own way. Or maybe they should put it somewhere else. It was made by my countryman so I feel a close affinity to it.

A place to learn about Sheikh Zayed the founding father of the UAE
One of the must visit place in Abu Dhabi. Recommended to come at night which you can see it clearly on shape of the constellation. All areas are covered by marble. So precious. Inside the visitor centre provides a history of the place which will make you impressed. Staff are most welcoming and nice.

Nice place for visitor
I stopped by here on the way back from the Emirates Palace. It was almost midnight so it wasnt busy. The memorial is a series of balls and strings which make up the face of Sheikh Zayed. It was quite interesting watching the image get better as you walked along the face of the monument.There is a park area by the monument as well which as seating. It was all well lit up at night.
Another must-visit site. The memorial holds relics of Sheikh Zayeds life. The staff was extraordinarily kind, explaining the renovations underway for Pope Francis official visit on February 5, 2019. Hence the temporary closure of the 3D display.A short movie explains the design and construction process.We will go again when the display reopens.

A lovely place to visit in the cooler months in Abu Dhabi. Certainly interesting to find out more about the life of Sheikh Zayed and the events that lead to the unification of the Emirates. Also the symbolism of the memorial is remarkable, a video explaining it and the construction thereof is really great to watch.
Another must when visiting Abu Dhabi. Best advice to go to the visitor centre on the right first. The story of the monument and why Sheikh Zayed is so loved explains a huge amount about everything else you see and experience in UAE!!!A stunning monument, so carefully and beautifully constructed, a VERY fitting way to celebrate the amazing man.

The Founder’s Memorial inaugurated on 26-FEB-2018.The ceremony included a music, and performances of the traditional Ayala dance.another touristic attraction added for visitors and tourists.every one defiantly love this place.

Nice place to learn about UAEs history. Guided Tour is fee of cost and all guides are really nice and humble people, all tour guides are really excited to walk you around and share UAEs history. There is a short movie (also free of cost) on conceptualizing, designing and construction efforts of memorial which is also highly recommended.Place is calm, peaceful and less crowded.Must visit place.

The Sheikh Zayed memorial should be viewed once by day and once in the evening -- go in the evening if you only have time for one visit. Our guide, Hasher, was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share his enthusiasm for the values of the Sheikh and his country. The installation itself is both beautiful and fascinating as a piece of design. Recommended.

Another brief stop on our tour, this memorial is dedicated to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of the UAE. We only had time to view The Constellation, Id describe it as abstract art in that it features a portrait of the late king made up of over 1,300 geometric shapes suspended on more than 1,000 cables. There is so much to see at this memorial park and throughout the city that it convinced us to have a future stopover to view the sights in a more leisured fashion.

A historical landmark in the Marina area that showcases an incredible feature of Zhayed thr 1st imagery. Definitely one of the worlds greatest designs and there is no words enough to describe its beauty and artistry.

Great place to derive inspiration.
Beautiful visit right next to the Emirates Palace hotel and a few minutes drive away from the presidential palace. You do not want to miss it!!! Many thanks to our guide Nouaf who was extremely passionate about sharing her countrys history and late Sheikh Al Nayans wonderful vision for the UAE. In depth knowledge. We visited it in the evening as a family of 6 including 2 younger children (aged 6 and 2). Note that the whole visit including the guided tour are free of charge.
