Cant believe this hospital has so many good reviews. I had to take my wife for emergency and we had to wait for more than 1h while my wife was feeling really bad. I understand that during covid there is a big queue but still they need to make effort for other people waiting and staff is not courteous especially one doctor that I wont name for confidentiality purposes.

The worst emergency department in any hospital and even after operating for years they can’t fix it, can’t wait for the new hospital to open, because no matter how bad it is, it won’t be as worse as this hospital. You wait for hours in the emergency department, even if your case is severe.

I came on the 18th of June 2021 to the Radiology department!! And I faced the worst receptionist ever!! She is so unprofessional and she even raised her voice on me!!! I came twice on the 17th and the 18th and every time she was telling me to come tomorrow she never mentioned anything about making an appointment. And when I came today at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM she told me that the doctor is refusing to accept any patient without an appointment!! I mean the place is empty and no one was there!! You guys can check it on your system. She didnt even book me an appointment!! So I texted the complaints number on WhatsApp and I told him to check from his end! And then he apologized and made her book me an appointment next week! Why should we go through all of this when she can just be more professional and just try to talk to the doctor since no one was there!!! Or at least book an appointment for me! I am so disappointed with the service I had today.

Never had an on time appointment. Arrogant doctor expects me to follow up as hes too busy! Just had a procedure there... Rubbish nursing staff. Slept in a blood soaked blanket for 2 days. Food inedible... The list goes on but they made good money out of my insurance

The waiting time is too long , the nurses are so lazy , doctors will go for praying for 2 hours maybe and the pharmacy waiting time is too long , the staff are setting and chatting while patients are waiting. They dont care if people will wait alot

This hospital is getting worse on every visit, we visited 3 weeks ago for consultation, they said they will request the insurance company for approval of a treatment, we called on a number of times to follow up the request and they said they would get back to us to let us know if it was approved, but nothing.Three weeks later, we visit again for a different consultation, they asked us to come back tomorrow to speak to the doctor, I mean do we really have all that time to make multiple visits?Moving on to the pharmacists, they work at snail pace.Please go to any other hospital, avoid if you really dont want to face frustration and disappointment.

Good hospital but they can do things to improve their services:1) Reduce the price of checkups2) Bring more arabic doctors as we are in an Arabic country. It helps us to communicate more wisely with the doctor.Overall, I would recommend it

She is indeed an angel who offers heart felt, unconditional sympathy to clients/patients. Very poor service after the management change. Do not go there if you are in critical condition. I had taken my wife to this hospital with a knee dislocation (pattela) on 12-Jul-2021 and asked for a wheelchair and some assistance which they could not provide. Nobody came to assist and i took the wheelchair on my own. The doctor later asked to get an X-ray and get back. I took my wife to the X-ray area and waited for our turn. The nurse at the counter took my wife in when her turn came. After few minutes, she called me inside the x-ray room and what I saw there was my wife on the floor crying with great pain. This nurse did not support her from/to the wheel chair though my wife asked for help. After my wifes fall, her reaction was to simply ask my wife to get up from the floor even though she was in great pain and crying. Then my wife instructed her to call me for help. The nurse started to speak in friendly tone after I went inside the x-ray room and as I was lifting my wife from the floor. We had to take another x-ray to see there was additional damage to the knee. I was completely blank at that time after seeing my wife in that condition and the thought of making an official complaint did not come in my mind. However, I had mentioned this to the doctor and not sure if he will be escalating this safety lapse internally though he did not show a concern to us. I am so frustrated with these untrained staff after seeing my wifes condition and even wanted to file a legal complaint with the health authority for this safety lapse but my wife insisted me to let it go as they might loose their job which can affect their dependents.

This review if for the emergency department as well as the laboratory (and sometimes the pharmacy).NMC has been one of my favorite hospitals in AD for many years. They have a range of really good doctors and overall nice facilities.However, when I had a very bad fever lately, I had to go through the emergency few times. There are no words to describe my experience other than it was such a shameful, disastrous and catastrophic place to be. Nurses are very aggressive and ignoring. It takes at least one to two hours to see the doctor. The doctor is not available for hours as the rooms are full and I was asked to wait and wait (their excuse)!! I was about to lose my consciousness and fall my the chair several times and I reported that and again total ignoring was there. Unfortunately, I had to come here as it is close to where I live.The laboratory is another story. Such a big hospital with my patients and clinics coming almost all day long, one small and extremely slow service lab is there. You have to wait for long long time to be served in the 3 rooms lab. Many times at least 30-40 token number are in the queue. They are not enough chairs even!! Really embarrassing place to see.The pharmacy for many times have limited number of pharmacists and again a long long queue and a big waste of time.I think I would not never ever come back to this hospital after being a really loyal patient for many years. Shame one you NMC khalifa for reaching this low level of unprofessionalism and cheap patients service.

This experience I faced were in three sections, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and urology. While the hospital is clean and doctors are best

Was asked to complete a fast and attend for a procedure the next day at 10.00am. I arrived early the next day as requested for my appointment to be told my appointment was cancelled as the Doctor did not inform me the previous day that the procedure is not covered by insurance. I wouldn’t usually complain but I had to drive fair distance for this appointment and wait in the waiting area a significant time to be told my appointment is cancelled.

This is the worse customer service Ive ever had in my life. I asked for a supervisor while at internal medicine and Mr. Osman told me to go find her. I sure did! I have never had bad customer service in this country and he doesnt fit here. He was even sitting at the reception without having his nose covered! The whole staff has been giving me the run around for a fit to work letter. Ive had to go see two different doctors and the doctor in emergency was CLUELESS. After waiting hours, I was able to see a component doctor, Dr. Kamishetti. I would love to have him as a doctor, but I will never come here again.He didnt understand why others didnt know what they were talking about. Three and half hours and 50 AED later while feeling ill, I finally got a letter. I shouldve listened to everyone and went to Cleveland Clinic. DONT GO HERE!

Had excellent experience for pregnancy consultation , delivery and post delivery check ups . Things are really easy when doctor advises you as a friend and clarifies all doubts and queries promptly. That is what doctor Srividya ( Specialist -Obstatrics and Gynaecologist) has done in a very professional manner with her expertise . Really happy with her consultation and Hospital services . Highly recommended!!

Visited NMC Royal Hospital for podiatry.Nurses were friendly and helpful, however, the level of service from the doctor was one of the worst. (The 2 stars are for the nurses as the doctor deserves none)First visit;I waited for 15 minutes before being called in and another 20 min before being attended by the doctor. She seemed to be in such a hurry that I was not able to completely explain what my problem was. As I started talking about 1 issue, she would interrupt me and simply tell the nurses what the treatment should be, and so on, and simply giving me another appointment after a week.Hoping that she would be more caring the second time, I left thinking she was just having a busy day.My second visit;I was attended by the nurses after a short waiting time (approx. 20 minutes) and been told that the doctor was busy making my insole and that it would be about 20 minutes.When she came in, she dropped the insoles next to me asking me to try them on after I had finished my foot care with the nurse. She then took her mobile phone and called someone (clearly a private call) and then left the room. I was there for at least another 30 minutes and she was nowhere to be found. She never came back to check on me or give me any advice or even a prescription.Even the nurse was uncomfortable when I asked if the doctor was coming back, and she tried making excuses for the doctor. The nurse suggested I use lamisil for my toe, but no prescription from the doctor.Doctors should be reminded of the oath they took! That they are here to provide care and assistance to their patients. To listen to them. And also to be the one prescribing medication, NOT the nurses.To this day, I still dont know if I need surgery, if I need to do specific exercises, or need creams, or even how long I should wear my insoles ( for which they were quick to take my 1300AED)I basically booked my appointments to see the nurses, and saw the actual doctor for a bare 5 minutes (and I am being generous here!!!) out of 2 hours of being in the hospital.This should be looked into!

This hospital administrative capacity is like a roadside car workshop, even poorer. About 15 days and they havent issued the birth certificate and even tried to put the blame on DOH while the application isnt yet submitted from NMC side. Worst experience ever!!! Even the call center guys arent trained for basic etiquette of customer service!! Its a grocery store!!!Unfortunately there is no option to put ZERO stars!!!

I m very much agree with Mr. Asif Kareem and Mr. Fadhil. I too got very bad experience on 17/07/21 in emergency ward.Dont go if u r in emergency or critical. No body bothered for your health. I was in sever lower abdomen pain when I reached in the morning around 11am. My husband too asked security guard for wheelchair due to pain I was not able to walk. But he told us to take from inside.On reception my husband asked for immediate attention and they provide us. Happy for that but after that rest of all experience was miserable. They took me to pediatric ward instead of adult ward.After giving me heavy painkiller. When I asked phillipina nurse why dont the dr. Comes. She replied. Drs. Are busy... when I said in such big hospital only one dr. Is there to attend simply replied dr. Will come. But no body turn up till 1.30pm. Even though I was in emergency ward. Can u imagine if this is scenario in emergency ward. What would be normal ward?When Dr. Manonmani Ravichandran came; asked few questions she called some senior dr. And immediately left without giving me any treatment or letting me what is wrong with my health.In the mean time when I asked nurse nothing I had since morning I m hungry. I need food. Her reply was once dr. Will say then v will give the food.After that dr. Came, that too more than one hour. It was around 2:30pm when I told Dr. Manonmani Ravichandran I m hungry I need food she shake her head and told me v r giving u discharge as your problem is not major u dont need further treatment. Without telling me anything about my health what I have to do next. Ultra sound dr. Was very good she told me its sever u have 4 cyst in your right ovary and one in left. Dr. Will treat u after getting ultrasound report. Dont worry.When I told dr. Manonmani Ravichandran I do movements I get sever pain in abdomen. She simply said v will give u one more painkiller and once ur pain subsidise then I can go. But no body gave any medicine. When asked nurse y u r not giving me any medicine she replied cant give more painkiller as v already given heavy painkiller in IV. Now only oral medicine. I waited for long till I m ok to go nobody turn up. I left from there after 4:00pm. Till that no food nothing. Even though I was in sever pain I was crying asked my husband to go as our children were alone at home. In that one of my child is POD we cant leave him alone at home. My husband brought the food while take me back at home.I want to make official complaints. But that time I was not in that state of mind and my health too was not supporting to run around various people in hospital. Inshallah I will do soon.Its my personal request to all of you who ever suffer or face such bad treatment dont be quite they are not doing any favour on us. V r paying for that.Its every human beings basic rights to get treated. If they cant give, y they have opened the hospital. They should shut down . V r human being not animals. Even animals have right to get good treatment.The one star I have given to a nurse who initially attended me and that ultrasound dr. Or else I will not give even single star. They dont deserve anything.

I have just gone to the hospital with my daughter requiring her health. One of the doctors then went on to presume and confirm without any real solid knowledge of what she has gone through. Today is Thursday 27-07-2021I called the number 8001122 to ask an appointment for for General Doctor they said no need for appointment you can go to the emergency directly, i went to the emergency and they said i will wait for one hour, which is so annoying if you are sick, then I waited for an hour and a half , and then they said you need to wait again and you will be transferred to another place to see general doctor i completed 2 hours waiting and still waiting for nothing, i felt that I have been treated like a homeless no one care about me , if i fell any pain or any single word to calm me down, instead the nurse guy was very rude with me. Is it a hospital or what is should call it. I want someone from the head office of the hospital to see these review and tell what would do if they were in my position at that time.

Very poor service, it’s like they have one doctor for the whole facility, unprofessional staff. If you go to the ER you’ll wish you stayed home instead. The Lab wasn’t answering the receptionists call, I had to go to an EMPTY Lab and let them know I’m waiting for the results so that they can input it into the system. This used to be my favourite healthcare facility, as it was very close to my home. Inspite of hiccups in the NMC management, I went there multiple times. Both times, they messed up.I took my daughter last time for a mild fever and they kept us in Emergency, for like 4 hours. I went today with a stomach upset and waited for like 2 hours. I came to get a covid test in the hospital in Outpatient entrance. I am so happy with the service of the staff. They we’re so fast. But while waiting for my turn, I noticed that there is one filipina girl in the reception and she’s the only one moving from time to time. All her team is depending to her,she’s helpful with staff and patients. She was so nice, she speaks and explains next step with every patient well. I just feel bad because of all the staff, she’s the only lady but yet she’s the one shouting to every patient to send inside the swabbing room. She’s doing a great job! Over all, the service is great. Very fast. Results are fast too. Highly recommended!

I went for minor injury. They did it perfectly and covered it with bandage and asked us to come after 2 days. we went there in our follow up, they removed the bandage and covered it with plaster bandage. However they didnt give any antiseptic or any ointment for curing., even after asking for that they said us to come after 4 days. With new appointment I went there again, they just saw the wound and gave prescription for small ointment. They need us to come again and again for unnecessarily, feel like they are working like money minded.And Specialist asked us to check(refer) another specialist to sort the same issue, however she didnt mention it in her report. So they charged again. I DIDN’T EXPECT THIS KIND OF SERVICE. BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME.

It was supposedly 5 stars however due to their laboratory procedures I am only giving them 4 stars. In other hospitals, each department has their own specimen collection rooms, however, here in NMCRH you have to go at the laboratory area, register again, which will take 15 to 30 mins, then wait for your number to be called for another 30mins to 1 hour. This big hospital has only one specimen collection area for all the OPD patients which I think is not efficient at all.

Waited many days for an appointment with pediatric doctor.. When we arrive on time for the appointment we are told the doctor has changed and to select the available doctor. This is ridiculous. They did not even send any update even though the doctor changed in the previous night. When I speak to the receptionist she is telling me.. To make this right I am giving another doctor.. We spend lot of time searching for suitable doctor..take time off from work to meet the doctor.. Its very easy for the staff to say.. Take another doctor or something. Totally useless management of affairs.

The hospital is big but the waiting time is long, always when I go to the hospital with my parents we wait for a long time in the orthopedic clinic, but when we go to the radiology department, a young Emirati employee helps us. She is very nice and friendly. I would like to thank her on behalf of my parents as they love to deal with her Because she respects the elderly and she is always cheerful

We had the worst experience in this hospital. My baby of 2 months old had his surgery in NMC Royal Pediatric by Dr. Sleiman Gebran. What was suppose to be a minor procedure for Hernia, resulted in the worst nightmare of our life. Due to medical negligence the baby had multiple burns on his stomach after the surgery. Me and my wife had to undergo the trauma for months and has still not recovered form the shock. We were helpless to a point and our focus was only on the recovery of our baby. Now that the incident is haunting us, I had to at least write this review.

Very pathetic. Claim 24 hours, opens at 8.00., Emergency says PCR will be done if u have symptoms. Call center have no idea what they are importing in terms of so called useful information. I have been visiting the hospital and have received great services from other departments like ENT , Neuro and pulmonolgy . This review is related to only the ER services . My son had an emergency situation couple of days ago . The doctor at the ER had no experience dealing with kids . My child is 7 years old and had a metallic bottle stuck in his finger and we were panicking . My son was crying with pain and he was very scared as any child would be . The doctor bluntly told my child that the option is to either cut the metal bottle or my son’s finger as a joke . Clearly it was not a time to pass any joke of that sort . It was not even considered a joke at that point . My son stopped cooperating altogether after hearing that . The doctor kept saying that my son should act like a man and not cry . He was extremely un-empathetic . He was talking about how strong a man should be even though my son is all of 7 yrs . Even the male nurse who was assisting was least pro-active in assisting in this situation . In ER , we come for an emergency and this is not what upset parents expect to see . It would be great if the doctors at ER are given some sort of training to handle young patients in such panic situations . My husband did 98% of cutting the metallic part and doctor was only guiding on what tools to use towards the end . He was not even with us throughout the ordeal . Yet , we were charged an exorbitant fee of 1000 aed , which we have no idea what for . Extremely upset with this kind of service at the ER from NMC .

Big hospital with loads of facilities but under staffed, came here 4 times and you will need minimum of 1 to 2 hours of waiting and up to 3 hours in peak times like afternoon and evening in emergency room. After midnight not much but depending on how many people are there. Other clinics same thing if they are not over booked then you have to wait for long time, call before leaving home to see if they will accept you. so unless its life and death situation I recommend you find other hospital.

PCR! If you value your time & energy avoid taking PCR test in this hospital. The facility is good but the service is poor. Been calling them to get my blood test report. There’s no mechanism. Customer care will direct you to Medical record department but they don’t even pick up the call. Link to the report should be sent to the customer automatically once it’s available. It shouldn’t give us a headache to get a simple report.

Today I was at the cardiology clinic around 4.30-5.00 pm and the receptionist was not wearing his mask!!. I asked him about it and he said there is the plexiglass protecting me, but there was a nurse sitting next to him and other nurses too. It was a ridiculous answer anyway, as hospital staff he mıst know the law better than me!!!He then laughed about it and said he knows the rules, STILL not putting his mask on.This was extremely disappointing and concerning. Please take action on this irresponsible behaviour.If hospital cannot maintain safety, who will?!?

Very different standard from other NMCs i have been to so far, you can really notice the ROYAL touch to it. Has many clinics and specialities in one building. The interior is very ambient, comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Loved walking around while waiting for your appointment which doesnt take that long.

Happened this afternoon to visit ENT for my sore throat and swollen eyes, but because it was much amount for simple hospitality employee without insurance like me, the kind hearted ENT Receptionist and Nurse (Really appreciate their kindness) told me I can go for the GP from the Emergency to check my condition and maybe have some prescription to help me out. But when I got to the ER Front Desk, the lady ignored me and called the guy next to me on the Que, while I am in front of her and the guy was even lined up next Information desk agent! So the guy pointed me out that’s the time she asked me how can she help. I told her because I don’t have much money for a checkup, staff recommended for ER, because GP Doctor can accommodate me. Then the lady said if the ENT staff sent me for PCR which 65aed, while I did mentioned that I was sent for an ER checkup. They told me if I don’t have the insurance, none can accommodate me in emergency, only for an walk in patient that will cause 700AED to check a Sore throat and swollen eyes, while I was sent from the walked in ENT staff already, that emergency can help me, which happened other way around, they made me more worst as they showed looking down on people. ‘A small unkindness is a great offense’. 👎🏻

I came for the a covid test , since I am suffering some symptoms, I went to the Emergency but they said as long as I dont have a fever they will not take me and I must go to the ENT department, which I went and they sent me to a covid test corner that they have, that test corner sent me back to ENT because they dont take people with symptoms, the shocking part is ENT do NOT even have a PCR test , so the decided I should wait an hour and see an ENT doctor who is going to send me to the Emergency department to get a covid test! I said clearly to everyone there that I could have it and if they get it because of me its not my fault its the hospitals fault .

What kind of emergency is the one which make you waiting for one and half hour and im still waiting!! Based on my temperature my situation is not urgent for them so they left me here waiting, I already informed them that i just did a surgery last 4 days which normally should be taken in consideration but nobody cares or shows any kind of humanity. I am very disappointed ,very sad that this happened from a luxury hospital like this one, i will pray that someone will come to me now to see the doctor.My advice is if it happened that you need to go to the emergency section, be ready for waiting at least 2 hours till the doctor will see you, bring your own bottle of oxygen if needed because they won’t provide it as first aid if your temperature is normal .

Bad hospital my mother make a surgery and no one care about her !! six time we ask for extra pillow and blanket for mother!! but no one care. after that they gave me one pillow but without cover !!! the rooms are not qualified enough to recieving patients!

Everytime we take new born vaccine from this hospital they send it for approval at the last moment , Our insurance company keeps saying that approval is not required for new born vaccinationWe suggest NMC royal to send the request when we make the appointment rather than making us wait there for an hour and then apply for insurance approval . They lack proactive attitude.

This hospital lost its quality I guess.I am not sure how the Drs or the nurses deal with frustrated patients.Because the Journey start from the receptionI had terrible experience walking into ER, They cant handle pressure and they lose control when it’s crowded.They call some cases emergency when it’s actually people they know or someone called for a favor. (WASTA)No empathy no emotional intelligence not even patient privacy.I don’t understand where did they employ this kind of staff.They belong to some butcher shop at the corner with rotten meat.I feel sorry for the medical team coz the trust is questioned when that’s the start of the Journey

I thank doctor Surekha and the nmc hospital. Ive had an incredible experience with dr.Surekha, I was pregnant and had a very high risk and most doctors scared me, she did my birth process three times and it was more successful than I and most doctors had thought. thats why, I favore her over all doctors and hospitals. She was professional in her job, kind, brilliant and intelligent . I recommend her to everybody.

Hospital is great. However if you want to call their customer support to make an appointment or ask a question. Terrible. Been on hold 17mins then it disconnected. Called again again on old another 18mins before I hung up. So the only way to make a follow-up appointment is to go the hospital itself. How inconvenient.

Really bad customer service. I had terrible migraine headache and told the emergency Room receptionist that and they took them one hour to call my name. The ER was almost empty and yet they were very slow. This will be my last time I go to it ER. If you can go to other ER, go there instead of this one.

Not recommended for PCR test. At the time of writing this review it is over 96 hours but the results are still not updated in ALHOSN app. They charged 85 AED and told me result will come in 24-48 hours, SMS received after 24 hours from NMC but ALHOSN app still not updated. I doubt they have lost my test results as this is not normal.Go for Unilabs, Khalifa street instead as their SMS came in 11 hours and it reflected in ALHOSN app in +7 hours.Otherwise it’s a good hospital with all facilities.

Poor communication, complete absence of coordination between reception and vaccination schedule. It is pathetic that those who had to get 2nd dose vaccination was given friday as day of vaccination BUT the guys said they have only few vaccines and ran out of vaccines and friday staff is limited.We called the reception before we went to the hospital and even then no body in reception told about vaccination quota or absence of enough doses. And lastly , when it is very clear that at 8.30 am, they ran out if doses, poor patients are still going to 3rd floor only to be turned back. Cant the reception guys or security say vaccination is no more for the day. Hapless communication between departments.Day of visit 5th feb 2021, 8.15 to 8.30 am.No wonder NMC is going down for their callous and lackadaisical attitude towards patients and society.

Worst experience ever. Please hide from Dr Bashir he made it worse, he was insulting, yelling and asked us to raise a complain if needed so we are dojng so. Let me explain: I felt a strong migraine at home that went worse and my face became numb with strong pain on my eyes. Eyes started became dark red and started to puke. I then decided to call a colleague to bring me to emergency as my legs couldnt respond anymore and faint twice before he arrives. He brought me to emergency. Once at emergency this was the disaster. They took my pulse and pressure blood and found that it was abnormal. Even after that they made me waited for more than 2h. After my colleague complaint, the doctor decided to come and started literally to insult my kind colleague who took care of me since the beginning. He tehn asked me questions but I had difficulties to answer so he didnt wait and just gave me paracetamol. My colleague decided to go back talk to him but he said that he was busy and if complaint is needed to be raised we can raise it. I can understand that the hospital is busy especially during this unfortunate time but what I dont tolerate is the assault and the way the Dr Bashir talked to my colleague. I couldnt react I could only hear. I am very disappointed and wonders how the hospital recruits their doctors. A doctor should be caring for their patient instead of making it worse and yelling toward the corridor in front of other patients.

Once i dreamt of being a mother. I think every little girl does when they were kids. but little did i know , how desperately i would want to become one not until I married the love of my life then eventually struggled with conception and fertility.then one day, on 2020 we knew we become pregnant and there are no more to express our gratitude to our creator above to Dr. Hanan and team .but circumstances are always there to challenge my faith and trust during the last part of pregnancy . I was admitted in maternity ward 3x because of UTI.Nurse Kaiza and april stood out as my nurse as they treated me not only as a patient but as a mother to be who longs to fight the infection and save the baby . I eventually had baby via cesarean delivery on January 16,2021 ang got admitted back to maternity ward with them as 2 of my efficient nurses , even though they do not experience yet to be a mother , their compassion and dedication to new mom like me is no other . from A to Z they gave me information , they tirelessly answered and demonstrated answers to our queries. No matter how and what i read in preparation to motherhood does not equate to the knowledge that they imparted to me as a patient .Again I once dreamed to be a mother and now i am. Thank you Kaiza and April for being my angel throughout my stay . You are heavens gifts in someway my sons is Gods greatest gift to me and my husband

I have been patient in this hospital for two years and today is my last day to visit it , it’s the worse every time I leave the hospital I feel bad instead of feeling good , most of the staff is in trained and not professional and they don’t know how to treat patients in a nice way , they make you feel awkward , I am writing this and am in my way home , I visited the radiological department and I say this again all the money was paid by my insurance to this hospital is waste
