If I could give a negative star review for the professionalism and appointment management system at the hospital, particularly the dental clinic, I would. It is the biggest deterrent to a visit to this hospital, despite me actually liking the physicians and treatment quality.I have had an instance where I was kept waiting for 1.5 hours past my original appointment time despite arriving within my appointment slot and actually only requiring 10 minutes of the doctor’s time (I timed it, I took exactly 9 minutes and 44 seconds). Not only have the reception staff failed to notify the doctor in a timely manner, they failed to update me and thought it was reasonable to let patients wait without regard to the fact that these same patients may be primary caregivers to individuals who need them back as soon as possible. After over an hour of wait time, I finally re-approached the desk only to be told they had admitted another patient instead. Some of us need to take exceptional measures just to see a doctor for 10 or 15 minutes. We also may need to wait for weeks to even get an appointment. We battle many commitments to arrive within our appointment slots. To have this completely disregarded by employees working in the healthcare industry is disheartening.The only reason there is any stars to this review is that the physicians I interacted with during my visits were actually professional and some even a pleasure to deal with. However, without proper management of appointments, one would be very hard pressed to return to a hospital. Especially when one needs their healthcare provider to be mindful and respectful that a patient may have many pressing obligations.

I went there last week by mistake for the evaluation which I supposed to have it in Stadium gate 40. The receptionists there were amazing! They accepted me and on top of that, they gave my kids some chocolates while waiting for me, as they are not allowed to go inside the exercise area.

My nanny was there this morning for her booster shot appointment. Beware that you need a PCR with a 24 hour validity to gain entry into the vaccination clinic. Of course she was not informed of this prior to my appointment - a simple SMS would have sufficed. An absolute time, energy, and money wasting trip!!

The worst hospital in AbuDhabi. I don’t know about other clinics on the hospital but I was in dental clinic and it was the worst. They let the customers to wait a lot.. and the doctor was not helpful at all. I hope they can be more professional like Cleveland. lastly, there suppose to be one section only for the oldest people. As we all knew they cannot wait long time.

I saw an Orthopedic back in May/June, he recommended for me to do some Physiotherapy, until today, no request have been put forth to obtain approval from Insurance for the sessions.Waste of my time.Not going back or recommending Health Point.

The dermatologist department is so unorganized despite having an appointment, I have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes each time to see the doctor excluding the time I have to wait in the pharmacy. The doctor even prescribe me with a medicine that I did not need which resulted in my case getting worse. After some research, I found out that there were tests that needed to be done before getting this type of medication which was not done. I was surprised by how unprofessional everything was.

Dr didnt even tell me name of medicines or anything, just directed me to pharmacy where they explained what I needed.... Disappointed

I had an appointment for vaccination exemption because I got my vaccination in the US. I waited more than hour. Then I noticed people came in after me and they saw the doctor ahead of me. I talked to the nurse, and I asked him what is going on. He told me the doctor( Nadia Zaidan) wanted to see more patients in front of me. I asked why I have appointment and I have infant with me. They have no answer however I know the answer (Discrimination).

Worst hospital Ive been to! Every employee blames the other employee for giving false information instead of apologizing and trying to help patients. I skipped work to go as a walk in patient for 2 departments and both departments blamed the call center for giving false information. Also, based on the reception you need an appointment to take the tests to be a walk in patient.

So I have lost my ID and I was pretty sure that I forget it in the hospital (physio department)...the ladies there (Maryam,Madam Mounira and the one who registered me was very supportive and profisonal , also a lady from the patient care office, her way to speak to the patient is very elegant very helpful and she even checked the camera for me and apparently I took back my Id🙄..big thanks the whole team and to Dr. ASHMA :)For those whos complaining about the long waiting time, please be patient for good results better than quick treatment and and no improvement.

Very sad very good hospital with great treatments ,doctors and medicine can’t be found in another hospital in UAE but the management is not good at all.First time they made me wait more than a week and half to get the medicine it took lot of time no one from the hospital help me at all they make me call Dr to make request for the medicine several time and all the time they blame the insurance they didn’t approved which was not true at all the medicine was approved but they don’t call us. I though it is like one time issue !!But again this time 10 days they claim again the issue with insurance after what they make face days of waiting time is just normal problems can be solved in few hours in other hospitals.The issue with employees they don’t want to help at all, it is not like something to help , it is the job of people that they inform you at least that you need to update you insurance or this medicine is not approved by insurance they never call or inform us.They really don’t care at all they do is just blame others for no reason, they first answer they give it is rejected from the insurance completely lies he even didn’t look at the system that make sure of the issue i was approve from the insurance all that why i called just ask when i should visit the hospital to collect the medicine.I got crazy i called the insurance to see the reason they say there aren’t any request form hospital and they didn’t reject anything I called again he said no the Dr didn’t make the order i called the dr she say i made the order and make print screen and send it for you to believe me It took from me days till i solve the issue.You sit there for hours till they call your number and collect the medicine 2-3 hours when you ask why this long time the only answer is insurance didn’t approve. The same insurance we go to other hospital max take 15 min approvals very slow process. and the number of patients is not that big at all they make people waiting long time for nothing.The pharmacy close 4 o’clock. Many government hospital keep there pharmacy 24 hours open to collect the medicine anytime the patients can arrive depending on their personal time.I need to take day off from my work and stay in hotel to collect the medicine!!! It is really crazy.———The call center very bad they just do their best to hangout the call they refuse to make you contact the administration because it is against the policy’s?!Only make complain and send to the complain department email and it is not allowed to transfer our calls to anyone in the hospital after time they stop taking my call because it is registered in the system i used another phone to contact them same thing with the hospital they start stop taking my calls.

UPDATE: Despite Healthpoint responding to my original review by suggesting I contact them directly via email, when I mailed them, I received no response. Not a great surprise as I suspected they wouldnt bother contacting me again. Choose another Healthcare provider - there are plenty in Abu Dhabi.**********The medical care I received was excellent, no doubt about that. However, the administrative experience and contact with the hospital was a total nightmare. In the days after surgery, I had several important questions that required advice from medical professionals - not once was I successfully connected to anyone who might be able to assist with post op issues. It was truly appalling.1 week after calling the hospital (10 times in one day to ask about medication and other issues causing discomfort), the doctor finally received my messages and called back. Not the Doctors fault - just the fault of the incompetent hospital administration and management.A couple of times when I called the hospital, the staff member could not understand even basic English (yes, I did select option 2 for English). I would hesitate selecting Healthpoint for your medical needs, primarily due to the shambolic management which caused a great deal of anxiety in the days following my surgery.

Dr. ELHAL, in Pain Management, was able to provide the best treatment plan for my needs. I have degenerative disc disease in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas. Also, in December I had an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion in Singapore.With the help of Dr. Elahl’s treatment plan for my progressive condition, I am now able to live a FUNCTIONAL and more active daily lifestyle.

This clinic is focused on business rather than taking care of patients. I am not satisfied with their procedure in dealing with my health issues. I had an appointment by phone call but due the appointment time nobody called me from their team at all. I complained with their helpline. Finally after about an hour later, they called me back. I can’t comment on the medical care.I had an appointment, but with an expired emirates ID and only an electronic copy of my passport (with visitor visa of course), I was unable to get past the reception area. I was categorically refused care as I did not have my actual passport with me. I had informed the appointment clerk when I called that my emirates ID had expired but that did not trigger a request to bring my passport.I am not expressing an opinion or advice on the services, only saying how I was received and treated.

I saw Dr Ahmed for my Cervical Spondylitis and he said someone from Physiotherapy will call for starting sessions in 2 to 3 days. None called for 10 days and when I called back I was told I have for first come for Physiotherapy assessment and then only they will decide if same is required. Till then I must live in pain...!!? Everything is fine and accomodating. except the schedule in ultrasound. The doctor said the ultrasound is upto 8pm but the reception in ultrasound keep insisting that only up to 4pm. Meaning we cannot do the ultrasound in this hospital because we have work from 8am to 5:30pm. I wish they extended their time in ultrasound up to 8p.

I happened to be in this hospital , recommended by a doctor in another clinic. So I guess they have good reputation. They have a wonderful pediatrician Dr Maurice Khoury. They are well known for Sports medicine and spine related issues.The hospital is well organized, neat and clean and spacious. Healthpoint is not a busy place, however it is difficult to get immediate appointments.

Customer service and call center call and send text messages for appointments reminder. Very easy to take appointment from 8 morning till 10 evening which very good for whom work late. Actually it was my first time in the hospital the place is clean the nurses were friendly the general physician was friendly too. I was in pain I did the Xray unfortunately it was Saturday and the doctor told me that the results of the Xray will not be ready tell next day Sunday so I went back home with my medication waiting for the results. Next day I waited till mid day then I called to discover that no results been sent to the doctor and the man in the phone advise me to call again later when i called 6 hours later the man in the phone told me again no result been sent yet and they will call me next day because the doctor finished her shift at 5.Well I can accept that results may take time but what is hard to be understood is how to treat patient by leaving him without any explanation about what is going on . How much time usually X ray results could take?!

Unbelievable service. On two different random occasions, I called and followed the voice menu. So I pressed 1 for Arabic, the Arabic menu finally got me to a non-Arabic speaking person.If at the outset, such is the service, I wonder how the actual operation is being conducted inside.The reason for my call to make a follow up on an appointment that i had made online and that nobody cared to call me back for confirmation. That says it all.First impressions are the most lasting.

I went to see a spine doctor at their clinic in Dubai with severe back pain due to degenerative disc disease and was referred for urgent physio in healthpoint Abu Dhabi. Thiqa approved my 10 sessions within 48hours, that has been 20 days ago I have been calling to schedule my sessions for 20 days with the call center promising to call me back. No one calls back. I have chased them for 3 weeks with no luck. Extremely unprofessional. I have gone else where for treatment.

Waste of time and money.. 2 cases: one appointment that I took more than 2 months in advance. Several reminders from the hospital to come sharp. I came on time. The dr was not ready, no apology or explanation was given. I had to leave without seeing the dr. Missing an appointment taken few months in advance is a management issue for me.. something urgent might required his presence somewhere else but the patient has to be notified, not left in the waiting area. We are patients and we go to hospitals to be treated and feel better.. not to be left on seats waiting without knowing anything on why we are waiting. Hospitals need to have an acceptable waiting time that is communicated clearly to patients. Beyond that, patients require explanation of any issues related to changes in their appointments..Second case was related to the type of treatment. I was given physiotherapy sessions for a pain that I have. I did most of my sessions. My pain was more and there was no follow up from the hospital..

I had a routine immunization there, it should have been free and covered by my insurance. But I was charged for additional 800 DHS, cause your insurance doesnt cover all the vaccination. Next day I checked it and figured out that all HAAD-scheduled vaccination is free. So finally they returned money, but I had to go there for the refund. Of course, nobody paid me for the taxi and lost time. And no excuses from the manager, as a matter of course.Total uncontrollable mess.

Good infrastructure but very poor coordination, the appointments team is a total disaster. Some of them dont know even what they are talking. When you raise a complaint, they call back and say sorry but nothing we can do for now! Pharmacy waiting time is another disaster, there is one pharmacist after 5 and we wait more than an hour, and the number of patients waiting before me was just 3!Unprofessional and unbelievable. With such a vast infrastructure, I dont understand how they consistently maintain such low level of service!

Would like to share my experience with parents of small kids. Visited today the clinic with my 2 year old daughter and the paediatric doctor advised to do the blood test for the little one. When I approached the lady at the reception (blood collection reception), I have requested to provide us with the experienced nurse, as it was for a 2 year old child. A male nurse was given to us, who didn’t sanitise his hands and didn’t wear gloves when started to check the hand of my child. He continued touching needles and all the equipment with no gloves on. When he inserted the needle into the skin, of course he didn’t get into the vein. He started digging left, right, inside, outside of the skin with the needle, hoping by chance to catch a vein. Either the nurse should be professional and responsible of what she/he does, or should not work in this field, hoping that by chance he will get into the vein of a child. My child was crying like never before, I then asked this nurse to stop playing with the vein and take out the needle, he didn’t listen and continued digging into different sides of the skin. I had to tell him 5 times to stop hurting my daughter. When I went back to the reception and asked them why did they provide us with the male nurse who doesn’t know his job, lady at the reception told me that he was the best nurse they had, she also told me that a patient needs to cooperate!!!!! 2 year old cooperate on what???? We have been to Seha clinic and nurses could get into the vein from first try. But today’s experience was the worst ever, not only nurse knew nothing about his job, but also continued hurting my child after I told him to stop.Otherwise, clinic has very very good doctors, myself had good experience with all the doctors that I have visited, would give all of the 5 stars. But my rating is 1 star because of the inhuman experience that we went through today with the nurse, needless to say that no apologies we given by anyone after all that we have experienced today. Clinic like this should have experienced nurses who know how to work with the little ones

I went to see the general physician because of a reaction to a bug bite, he could not treat me saying that I should see a dermatologist, they said that the dermatologist is about to leave and wont see anyone, I explained to them that I have swelling and it is become worse, they said they cant help me, I explained that Im not from Abu Dhabi, I was there because of work, and if they dont do anything I have to go all the way to Dubai with a swelling that is becoming worse, still they did nothing! Worse hospital experience in my entire life!
