If you havent read my review of the Mafraq Hospital Assessment Center please do so as it provides a context on how I got to the Emirates Field Hospital.I arrived at the Emirates Field Hospital from the assessment center on July 17th around 9:30am. After registration and doctor assessment, I went to my room in Block 2.The RoomThe room I was assigned had 2 beds with attached bathroom. I suspect most, if not all, the rooms have the same layout. The room size was good (maybe 15 feet by 15 feet?). The bathroom was decent size but was rundown - mold around the toilet and shower (see pictures). Even the trash cans had what looked like mold and spots. The water pressure was inconsistent. It generally goes from medium water pressure to very low every minute or so. The room is cleaned every day (floor swept and wiped) and the bed sheets and towels changed every 5 or 7 days. The food was pretty good. The medical serviceThe vitals (blood pressure, temperature and oxygen levels) are taken twice a day. For diabetics, the sugar levels are taken once a day.The doctor visits at least once a day.....from what I understand the doctors are busy attending to patients who are in serious condition (understandable). So if they know you are doing ok and dont have serious symptoms, you may not get a visit from the doctor every day.I suspected there were not enough doctors to take care of all the patients. Every time I went to speak to the doctor, they were never around. I was told they were in the red zone attending to serious patients.By the way, my symptoms were mild and I was told by the doctor that my condition was a 3 on a scale of 10. So, I can understand why they did not visit me twice a day. But, to their credit, the doctors visited me at least once a day, sometime twice as doctors change with different shifts. One of the common theme here was no one tells you anything...unless you ask. And even if you do ask, many times nothing is done. For eg: many times I went to see the nurses to schedule a PCR test or to schedule a X-Ray and they say I will check with the doctor. But you wait for hours and nothing happens. When you go to see them again, typically there is someone new sitting there and they would have no clue about your prior discussion with the other nurse. So, one has to start all over again. This I found to be very irritating. Also, you as a patient must be watchful and ask questions when nurses come to give medications. Couple of times they came to give me meds which i did not need. One time the nurse came to give me antibiotics on the 8th day even though my prescription said for 7 days only. Once I pointed this out, she said sorry and left.Couple of MAJOR issues:The X-Ray equipment was dirty with rust spots everywhere and looked like it was never cleaned. Secondly, when one is taking a chest X-Ray you are asked to place your chin on the plate and hug the plate with your hands. The problem is no one cleans it between x-rays. So, if i happened to be COVID negative, but the person before me was still positive, most likely I am at risk of getting COVID again! Which may explain why I got 2 positive PCRs even though I had no symptoms after getting one negative PCR.The second issue relates to the staff who take vitals. As they move between room to room to take the vitals they dont change the gloves. So, it is possible they may become carriers of COVID from one room to other and spread it.I want to thank Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Weal and the nurses for the wonderful care they have provided. Finally, even though one gets good care from the doctors and they take care of you, one gets a feeling that they are in prison. And you can never get out unless you get 2 negative PCR. So, you feel helpless. So, the bottom line, unless you are seriously ill or likely to get seriously ill, or dont have a room at home to isolate in, do not go to the Field Hospital. Try to quarantine at home. But always listen to the doctors advice.

The experience here was terrible. The temperature is extremely cold at night and there are no heaters at the facility. The water mixer in the shower is broken, meaning the shower water is extremely hot and can’t be altered. There was a water leak from the bathroom to the bedroom. The room has damp in the walls and the windows cannot be opened. My room was given to me without being sanitized and the general quality of the hygiene is extremely poor. The staff knock on the doors in a very loud manner and at times late during the evening when people are already asleep. The quality of the food is poor and several times I was given food that had fallen out of the packaging into the box.The operator does not answer the phone and even when they do answer the phone it takes 3 or 4 requests to receive the item you requested.

First and foremost I would like to thank you UAE Government for providing a health care facilities for all the COVID-19 patients, for providing the treatment and medications, additionally for providing each and everyone food to eat during the quarantine period. I was in the facility for 10 days, and I am thankful. The place is quite good, cleaning/sanitizing is being done everyday. Food is distributed 3x a day + coffee or tea everything for free. Yet a lot of people seems doesnt satisfy. the services and I dont understand. getting the services for 100% free and not satisfied? May I ask you. Is your country providing you same services for free???

MUSSAFA Covid Facility Center.Nurses (most who are assigned in our block) DOESNT CARE about the patients.Medicine days of delayed but it is available at the counter, without follow up from us no medicines will arrive!Nurses are not fully aware what & how many midicines has been issued,we are the one to be asked!FRIDAY totally no nurses/ doctor are visiting us.No safety procedure, they are just mixing the newly arrival patient to the almost-fully recovered patient. Some 2x al hossein negative are still in the facility while my room mate got 1 negative was forced to get out of facility.I am writing this review as there is no other way, none even a suggestion box, HOPING to see the improvement of the services.I guess, more trainings are required of the medical staff assigned in the facility.

To Emirates Field Hospital Management,I would like to give my special thanks to all for the care I received at Emirates Field Hospital in Musaffah. Despite the several negative reviews I read online, I felt the care was beyond expectations.I was transferred from Cleveland Hospital after having treatment for brain stroke. The doctors at Emirates Facility Centre were extremely supportive and capable of taking excellent care of me. Nurses are also efficient and kept my progress on timely manner. Caretaker, cleaners and catering staff were also highly efficient.Overall a great experience, thanks to management and UAE leadership for such facility.

For the first dose of cover 19 vaccination, the process was simple and easily took. But the second dose process it was horrible. It almost 14 days of due for second dose. I went daily to this centre but they replied out of stock. The worst part is We cant move to some other centers. The behaviour of the security is bad. They are not willing to guide us what will we do further.

ZERO RATED FACILITY by SEHA.My 4 year old son and wife have been shifted to Emirates Field Hospital Mussafah through COVID-19 Prime assessment centre Mafraq.Their facilities are zero standard from cleaner to doctors. My son needed treatment and Doctor delayed for one whole day and he kept complaining about his abdomen pain. Food is terrible and water is dirty to drink. My question to you if you cannot take care of COVID-19 patients then why you transfer to Emirates Field Hospital ? Patients may take care of them at their homes by isolating them because this kind of treatment is for animals not for human beings. At least kids must be treated properly. Any part of the world give priority to kids and women’s but here completely different.

Hi, arrived here with my wife as a tourist from GB to obtain the sinophram vaccine. It was a 15 minute process, I was impressed with the facilities, the cleanliness, the reception we both received throughout the experience. I do wish we had this slickness in GB, definitely recommend this facility to all.

We checked on the site and people have written that vaccination was given to visitors too. I went with my husband who is on visit visa. We were turned away by the security guard and was told that it is not available. Very disappointed. At least it should have been mentioned. We too want our family members to be safe.

We had taken the first dose in Emirates field hospital and the experience was great but when we went for the second dose yesterday, we were returned back as the hospital had run out of vaccine. They are currently administering the vaccines only to people above 60, even if the first dose is taken in Emirates field hospital. Subsequently we went to other clinics in Abu Dhabi run by SEHA where we were informed that we can take the second dose only in the Emirates field hospital because we had taken the first dose there. Now we are in a fix.The security at Emirates field hospital asked us to check after two days for the availability of vaccine however they did not provide any phone number and in order to check, one has to travel all the way to Musaffa

Under zero so bad There is no care for the patient. The treatment is not polite at all. There is no hygiene. They just wipe the guest rooms with the same unclean water. There is no daily change of bed linens except by requesting to change the pillowcases. The nurses are not aware of how the devices work, nor do they install canola solutions. Someone answers a way. If you ask a question, you will be answered in an inappropriate manner. Thank you, the Abu Dhabi government for the place, but there are many insiders who need to be reconsidered. The mattress is not comfortable at all. The food is bad, bad, very bad. If you order food from outside and it is delivered, you need more than an hour to eat and it will be cold. The men enter without permission and there is no privacy in the bathroom from an internal lock or key, nor to the room.
