Wadi Shwaka is my best place for Camping its really feel stress-free and we did overnight #camping near Emirates Adventure Camp, on 31st night we enjoy lots here, only we did one mistake we leave our burned charcoal there then RAK police catch us and put AED2000 fine, but its okay this lesson for all of us keep wadi clean....... Cheers up!!!!!

Adventurous place to do mountain biking and trekking.

A short drive from dubai, this wadi has a small flowing stream and offers a serene getaway from the hustle of city life. You can find a few camp spots and campers on weekends. Additionally youll sometimes come across camels in the day and frogs in the night. If you come here dont leave any trash behind as I saw a few people do.

Amazing place . Be prepared to be in a isolated, quiet and under the stars place. Bring ample water and burning fuel and wood. Road is a bit off road as well. For people who are driving

Cool place

Good place for hiking, a bit challenging at times. One should carry water n something to eat so that u can stop at the sitting area built at certain stops n relax a bit. I started my hike from the road just before reaching the round about to the Dam. It was a long hike, took me 3 hrs n I ended up on the other side of the Dam. Just follow the track. There were people camping there which was a relief to see them, as I had gone for hiking alone. After coming down from the mountain it was 30/45 minutes walk towards the road. I hitchhiked from there and reached to where I had parked my car. People were very helpful. Next time inshaallah I’ll carry more water. It was weekend so lot of families camping in and around the Dam. Had a great time, beautiful valley n giant mountain, lovely weather. Had a wonderful experience. Oh before I forget, from the parking area they r making steps to go up to the top of the mountain, that would be 👍. Thank you 😊

Great Trek. Easy to Medium Trek. Take plenty of water. Decent walking boots.

Nice place, if you like mountains you must visit, if you are going through google map be careful, one route option map shows where you have to drive off road, dont select that. Another way is through main road, search dam instead of park and you will get correct route.

Cool weather, running springs, lot of campers but not loud.

Loved it and loved the fact that there was no restrictions on pets , my dog had a great time and she was exploring more than us , will definitely go again

Nice hike thru the wadi, easy to get to, water not always present... had to wade thru pool on our way back.

This location is INCORRECT. DO NOT USE THIS. SEARCH FOR HERITAGE VILLAGE near shawka and it will take u to the shawka dam park.
