I had always wanted to visit this castle and I finally got there. We were allowed to walk around all the floors freely they are restoring the original artwork and for 75 dirhams it’s a good day out. Whether you are a ghost hunter or just there to see the art or inside a palace then this is a worth a look

We felt it was really haunted place and afraid when person at ticket counter told story about umbrella 🌂. There is nothing scary instead we can enjoy the Palace as museum and feel the life style of Royal UAE. We drive from dubai and worth it. See the view from roof of Palace.

Impressive historical artifact of the UAE of the 1970’s. Some furniture and the near entirety of the plaster bas-reliefs, tiling, ceilings and handmade lighting fixtures are original to the place. Even the air conditioning is said to be imported from Japan back in 1975 —a rare luxury that was not even present in most cars at the time. The rooftop rooms are some of the most charming spaces in RAK. Incredible zodiac sign reliefs in the domed ceilings of the third floor majlis.50 AED (group rate, 75 for individual) will buy you a guided visit of this ample mansion. To further satisfy your midcentury cravings, I also recommend to visit the Sheikh Zayed home in Ain Al Faida, in Al Ain.

They say the place is haunted but noy for me. For 50 AED entrance fee, youll be able visit inside the old palace. Cameras are allowed and you can also record videos. There is not much display but the interior design is a good see. It was a good 20 minute side trip.

Hauted palace : No EntrySaid to be haunted so we went after 2:30AM.It was dark and the drive was fun. When reached there it was well lit with colorful lights as if the haunting spirits or whatever were having a disco night (no offense). There were CCTV and no entry. So we just took some photos from outside and decided to return when the sun is up.Next day we returned back @ 3PM unfortunately it was still closed. While walking in the outer verandah to peep inside we could feel an ambience and to make it even better the hanging lights were dangling due to the mild wind which gives us the goosebumps.A local talk will give us stories of children calling for help looking out of the windows. If went inside we could see unseen rooms and furnitures moving. Writings on walls in bloody red colors and such.Cant enter the place so from outside a quick look and thought of all the stories will give you a feel.

Mashaallah very beautiful... At first I was scared to go there, u know the rumours about ginn n ghosts. Well took some courage n went there, I was the only one there as it was week day. Palace is open from 9 am till 5 pm. I paid 75 AED, n followed the guide. From the main enterance which is a Hall he showed me all the bedrooms n sun room at the top n maids room at the lower level. I was amazed to see the art on walls. Blue tile work, art from Morocco, India, Persian. The antique chandeliers... it was beautiful. The sun room at the top has very ornate art work. I could not imagine that in 70s when there was less populated area The Shaikh HH made such a beautiful palace. It seems like it’s built on a hill and from the roof top u can see everything around it. The weather was clear n I could see the mountains in far distance. I did not feel scared at all so I asked the guide if it’s open after sunset. He said yes I can visit around 10pm it’s open. I got my chills back n I said no thank you. Anyways one should visit this place it is beautiful. Thanks to Mr Tariq al Sharhan who restored this palace. Now I can say I saw a beautiful palace in RAK. My dream of seeing an old palace from inside came true. Thank you Ras al Khaimah government for this opportunity.

One of the most frightening yet mesmerising structures is the Al Qassimi Palace in RAK which reportedly cost AED 500 million to build, over 25 years ago. Locals say the structure has remained uninhabited save just one night. And that the people were driven out in just one night after they experienced strange paranormal happenings.Word of Mouth also has it that people have reported irrational fear, sounds of wailing persons, bizarre sightings and also spotted children peeping out of the partly broken stained glass windows while crying out for help to trespassers!
