A beautiful and historic place to visit in the UAE. Its history of over 300 years is definitely worth a visit. Jazirat al-Hamra is the only historical pearling town in the Gulf, which survived the modernisation and fast development after the discovery of oil. While the majority of buildings are modest summer and winter houses surrounding a courtyard, examples of rich residences and homes of pearl traders can also be found. Today, Jazirat al-Hamra’s narrow alleyways connect a conglomerate of courtyard houses, suq buildings, mosques, and a fort with watchtowers, all built from coral stones and fossil beach rock in layer technique.
Good tourist spot to explore in Ras Al Khaima
Very nice place.... old town ... with decorative lights at night.. walking in narrow spaces between old houses.. old souq...old mosques and forts
I was looking forward in seeing this place but once we drove there, we couldnt go in. They are in the process of doing a parking lot. Im guessing to make the place more suitable for tourist. Overall the area is not very nice but i will go again next time to check out the place
Natural beauty of Arabia, when we reach the place we feel like we are at 19th century. Really love the place
Al jazirah al hamra it is also known as ghost village... Its a protected area under the Ras al khaima Emirate.... Its a historical place and its civilisation.... Its completely an abandoned village... Its a good place for photoshoot...
Awesome weather with long drive.

Heritage
You cross the heritage village in Ras Al-Khaimah, one of the best places of tourism. You get to know the simple, elementary life..the place is not the most wonderful ... you improve that you have responded to the past and how the parents and grandparents were living .. I advise you to try ..👌🏻💕
Dubai sucks
The old town of fishermen, built of petrified corals. In the partially restored part of the fort festivals and exhibitions are held. We hit the opening day.
The old town, where the reconstruction started its original form. There was still a large part missing, but it is changing very quickly.
Very nice restored area. We are on site. Just ask for more info.
A not completely deserted village. 3-4 houses are still inhabited. It is interesting to stroll through there. Most of the buildings have only ruins. The paths are not cleared or prepared for tourists. There is a parking lot nearby, but it is not part of the attraction.
To see, I believe they must continue with the restoration and reconstruction of the village, to confirm the little that remains of the past.
Beautiful and calm
Very interesting, to see.
Interesting place
