Unfortunately the place is closed for visitors now. There were no information on Google about it. We spent more that hour to get there :-(.

Ghost Town of Ras Al Khaimah - Al Jazirah Al Hamra (English: The Red Island) is a town to the south of the city of RAK, UAE. It is known for its collection of abandoned houses and other buildings, including a mosque, which are widely believed locally to be haunted. The town was ruled by the Zaab tribe, which was rehoused in Abu Dhabi following a dispute with the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. The buildings were built from coral stones, held together by mud and covered by a roof of woven date palms, much like the other pre-oil era buildings in the area. It’s incredible to think that they’ve withstood the tests of time, through hundreds of years of blazing sun, biting sandstorms and tribal conflicts.

People says its a hunting and ghost village. We went there mid night 1 oclock to see the ghosts but all the ghosts ran alway when they saw us....lollzz. no ghost left, so stay calm and go and enjoy the visit at mid night now.

The place is not well organized, you will feel tired moving between houses, also the exibitors shop licated in a very narrow corridor with one way direction.

One of my camping destination in Ras Al Khaimah. Nice historical place but it would be better if the place maintains its cleanliness. I ask favor on campers or picnic goers to preserve the place specially the beach area...please clean the area after your activities.
