This trek, is DEADLY! itll definitely get your adrenaline rush riled up. Make sure to carry enough food, water and other essentials like torch and lighters. We ended up taking longer than expected for our trek and had to walk back in the dark, not having lighs would have made the return journey impossible.At the summit of the stairway, the Omani guy is super cool and you can rest and chill with him for sometime 😬

This is a popular Hiking trail area that leads towards the summit of Jebel Jais Mountain, both Oman and UAE sides.Moderate to intermediate trail with steep and high elevation gains.

Riskiest but one of the most awesome trekking Ive ever done! Not for newbies and those who are scared of heights. The trail is definitely dangerous and requires some skill and the guide should be very knowledgeable because you could get lost as there are not much trail signs. Still a must do.

It’s a great hike but only for advanced level. Get there super early.. maybe 6am and make sure to start your descent by atleast 13:00. Wear appropriate hiking shoes and I would recommend a hiking stick as well. The view are amazing I the way up ... stairs are scattered along the hike. Way down takes longer and easier to lose the pathway.focus on the easy back as it is very easy to get lost.take a flash light and extra water.otherwise a very challenging hike and one you will remember for eve:) there is a gravel pathway leading to the start so take an off-road car of possible.otherwise you have to drive really slow.

It was a fun experience with great views, we started at 4am and we could see all of the starts clearly, managed to reach close enough to the water fall and went down again as we were not sure if our fitness levels will allow us to go down if we reached the top, reached the starting point again by 9am.Try to make sure you have at least one person with you who did the full climb if you are an amateur hiker.

We were a group of amateurs. It took us 10 hours for the round trip. We finished just before it was dark. -Start your trip early (around 6 am).Have an experienced person in the groupCarry enough snack and water (3 litre each was what we had)Move as a group and stay together.Have proper hiking shoes, gloves, trekking pole, headlamps and first aid kitIts not an easy journey and not for all!

The hiking called stairway to heaven ( S T H ) is one of the toughest hiking in the UAEHiking has two different ways. that is Right bank and left bank ( Full loop )the right bank is comparatively easy to the left

Ive done this hike many times. Im not sure about the garbage in recent years. Its a shame- folks should take out what they take in to keep this place beautiful. If you want a taste of something different in the UAE then this hike is for you. Some or all of it can be done by a person of average fitness. Probably best not to go alone like Ive done on several occasions to the worry of my family. The best time is in the morning during the hot months and bring loads of water. The path is quite hard to find so someone with experience would be helpful. I eventually found it on my second and third attempt. The wadi feels timeless to me. It will look the same in 1000 years - theres something special about a place like that. We should protect this site and others like it as being treasures of the UAE. Happy hiking!

Beautiful natural views, to reach till water pond need minimum two hours for new hikers, be patience and take breaks for regain strength.Distance till water pond in 6.5 km all together 13km equals to 19000+ steps (route thru Wadi Galilah).

Stairway to Heaven is the toughest mountain in the UAE located in Wadi Ghalila next to the Oman borders. It stands at an elevation of around 1,800m with a distance of 19km roundtrip and its known for its exposed paths

Beautiful day out if you feel up for a solid hike. Would not do it with children as it is quite exposed

Amazing hike for all levels of experience. Great scenery, and you can really put up a challenging pace. Best trail in the UAE for steeper mountain hiking.

Physically demanding climb upto Oman plateau. A steep climb to 1200m with the last 200m climbing staircases to the next terrace until the top is reached. Sturdy footware and a head for heights advised.

Stairway to Garbage Dump. The trail is now easy to find, just follow the litter. Youll know youre at the top when you find yet another half finished construction site with all the garbage left behind. Barren rocks, warm dusty wind, and vistas of smog and pollution.

Visit if you are nature loving person. Peace and beauty is what youll find
