This is my personal experience of using the careem bike for the last few monthsThey do not have a single bike without an issue in their entire fleetStarting from the mobile with lots of bugs giving inconvenience for customers1. Location issue 2.showing incorrect messages 3. Qr code do not work 95%Then coming to cycle, which do not have a periodical check or maintenence1.sticky handles 2. Lack of smoothness 3. Hard pedals(changed 3 times a cycle bcz of cycling difficulty) 4. Technical issues with gears, bearings etcUnfortunate to write this as FROM Careem, I had better expectationsHope they will look forward to take these things seriously and ensure better service delivery

Update: It’s great that Careem had refunded me the amount they charged as overtime fee. 4 thumbs up for their fast action, hence an update to my rating.Careem Bike charged me an overtime fee of AED200 for using their bike last June 30 to transfer from JLT Cluster I to DMCC station (posting my invoice here). My trip only lasted for approximately 3 minutes hence I was shocked that I was charged with this amount. I have completely returned the bike and heard the sound when I put it in one of the docks in DMCC.I tried to call their customer service number but after I raised my concern, my call was dropped. I sent them an email and hoping to get a good result.

Was charged a 150 aed few after buying a day pass, because I kept the bike longer than 45 minutes. When purchasing the day pass there was no indication I was going to need to return the bike and get a new bike. I was going to purchase a yearly subscription to careem bike because it seemed like a good way to travel and get a work out, but after A) learning about this 45 minutes policy and B) being given and overage charge, its a no from me. You need to read the policy on the website.

Its a good facility to commute from one place to another place and take metro from DAMAC .

It turns out to be a little expensive.20 dirham for 45 minutes a day.You can rent several times a day, but in total you cannot exceed 45 minutes. Otherwise 10 dirhams for every half hour.Great 3-speed, hybrid with an electric assistant.
