Themed on the MasterChef series, with a menu that includes some dishes created by MasterChef contestants, I was curious to try this restaurant and what better way than to go for brunch.Brunch features a set menu of sharing starters and desserts, and a choice of main per diner. Food is not unlimited, but drinks are.The food overall is not bad, theres some dishes which were good and some were just OK. However, overall execution on the day was great with the MasterChef contestant creations being generally better.The brunch experience other than the food was completed with a live host/singer (that can get a little too loud to be able to have conversations over as theres no sound dampening) and a couple of competitions for diners to volunteer for activities adding to the excitement and win a simple prize. Unfortunately though, social distancing generally was questionable including diners forgetting to wear masks when walking around and not being picked up on it.Overall an enjoyable experience, with the food being generally good for restaurant standard (but maybe not quite the WOW you would think of if youve watched the MasterChef series).

Sorry to say, but this is the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at, so far, in Dubai. We tried the Iftar menu and the food quality was poor, the dishes were anything but creative or tasty. The service was not great either, they wanted to charge for the bread after serving one small slice per person.... Dessert was just ok. The price was not balanced with the food quality at all. Looks like the brand masterchef is the only reason why this restaurant has clients, I wonder how many of us would ever go back...

Where do I start! I am an avid fan of the MasterChef TV show and was really looking forward to having a meal by one of their past winners. However, I was beyond disappointed. I had the fish and chips and my friends had the chicken and waffles. The carribean fish and plantation chips was beyond bland, the fish looked like it was tossed in a deep fryer with no seasoning and quite thoughtless. The plantain chips (where do I start!) was nothing to write home about, the sauce was nearly tasteless and the salad looked miserable and like an afterthought. My friends had similar issues with the chicken and chips too. Desserts served were also left unfinished as they weren’t that good. In addition to that, one of the chefs didn’t wear his face mask properly throughout!Food: no starAmbience: ⭐️Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Total rating: 2 starsVerdict: Not to be visited ever again

What an amazing brunch. First visit to MasterChef and didn’t let our expectations down. We don’t drink alcohol and we mentioned to our server and they were just on top of everything . Menu indicates all your allergies and dietary, food without alcohol. We were just blown away. They strictly follow Covid-19 rules, restaurant is super clean very good ambiance and was very busy but staff had a still time to tell people wearing mask while doing their brunch challenges So much in control. A big shout out to Restaurant Manager Nishi and his team who was keep checking us even though we noticed him very busy at the food pass area and took time to check back all of us. Well done all. We will be back and thank you for an amazing brunch we ever had after long time.

Had the most amazing brunch! Live music was so awesome, we all believed the guy should go and win the X factor. He had an amazing voice. Food was outstanding! Starters were to share... each one had his own main. Fish, vegetarian, beef lamb... everyone was catered for! Drinks list was outstanding... bubbles and cocktails just kept coming!! Will most certainly be back and I will highly reccomend!!

Absolutely fantastic Friday brunch, great music, great food, fun entertainment and a supervisor called Ali, who 100% made the whole thing amazing, going above and beyond with his hospitality! Best outing I have had in years!!!

Where do I start. As a fan of the show the experience was surreal and overwhelming. At the same time food is of highest quality. The hostess definitely knew the food & history behind the dish. All I can say is that if you love Masterchef...you got to try this. And not just Once. I am going there again for sure.If youre not a fan of the show, Go there and thank me later :)

Fantastic eating place and awesome food, you can taste many mystery box secrets here. Its really an experience to be here few times. Worth visiting with family, kids will love it. Staff is very nice and courteous

One of the bests gastronomic experiences I ever had! The place and atmosphere brings you to inside the show, the team makes you feel as a real judge. I am a vegetarian. They dont have a good veg friendly menu, hardly one or two items to choose from. Adding parmesan cheese and truffle oil over every thing doesnt make it a good dish. Basically overhyped. I wont be returning to this restaurant until they change their menu.

People with allergies please stay away from this restaurant. One would think a restaurant with such a reputation would be responsible when serving someone with a peanut allergy but we found out the hard way that they dont care !!When taking the reservation they asked about allergies and my daughter who has a severe peanut allergy informed them of her allergy.We also informed the server who took our order as well and he reassured us that there was no peanut in any of the items on the set menu.All was fine until the dessert was served. My daughter ate it and knew immediately that the cake had peanuts. We asked the server and he again said dont worry there is no peanut. By then she had already started feeling the rash coming on.On our insistence he checked with the chef and then told us the chef said you should not eat the cake!!!!!We asked to see the chef who refused to come out to see us.We left the restaurant only to rush our daughter to the hospital as she was wheezing and having difficulty breathing.Such negligence is unpardonable and we will be reporting the matter to Dubai municipality.

Such a great and cosy place with a juicy Menue and nice drinks. The folks there are always funny and accommodating. I like to go there a lot. Give it a try, it doesnt have to be the mall or marina and hen in Dubai. See you there!

Came here for lunch. This is the first masterchef restaurant in the world. The setting is cosy and the selection in the menu is meticulously crafted. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent!

My terrible photos dont do the meal justice, but truthfully the food was fantastic. The beef rendang was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavours was superb. We went for the Diana Chan residency and she did not disappoint with her unique menu! Well certainly be back

Called to book a birthday celebration. The person answering didnt even have information about the venue for Friday. All of the sudden she finds out brunch is fully booked, thank you for calling and hung up. Not even offering a dinner setting, or selling different package, different day. Hmm. A must visit for those who are not just foodies but big fans of the reality show. Ive not experienced such humble and fun service from the staff as I did here. Special thanks to Robin.Cooked by the finest chefs and a menu curated by many fine season globally. I was not able to hold my excitement of getting the mystery box choosing 5 ingredients and making them cook something exotic.From their charcoal burnt berry tart and tobassco icecream to their famous whiskey infused dessert the ending was just as sweet as the start!

Very good resturants with wide variety of dishes. We got to try the tasting menu by the winner of Masterchef Season 7 Shaun Oneale. I liked that they adapted to the preference of Middle Eastern and gave alternatives for people who do not eat food cooked with Alcohol. I would rate the food 4/5 but when combining it with the whole experience it is surly 5 stars. The server was amazing and mentioned a story behind each dish. She added another dimension to the exoerience. Before we leave Shaun passed by our table to greet. The resturant is a bit small but thats sometimes is an advantage. Worth to try.

3 of my friends and I went to Ladies Night 19th May 2021. This was my first time, the rest of them had already been. We were served by Robin, who was cheerful! However, when my friend, who had a la carte, ordered a bottle of wine using the Entertainer, they were unwilling to give us one red and one white, despite the fact that both the red and white was the same brand, Anakena, which is Dhs 25 at Barracuda! Again, I dont understand why they couldnt oblige us; its not as though our request was unreasonable, we were still paying full price for a bottle, werent we?! The food was good but I expected more, given the hype generated by the media. The choices were limited on the 3 course meal. I ordered the salmon and while it was tasty, it just came with a dollop of mushy peas, no other veggies! I dont think it would have broken the bank for them to add some steamed veggies! Also, aesthetically, it wasnt appealing; not something one would expect from Master Chef! Im uncertain as to whether this was due to the fact that it was a set menu for Ladies Night, nevertheless, it wasnt what I expected for such a prestigious establishment! The dessert was very yummy though. One of my friends who were among the 4 of us had previously been to the Cheese & Wine night and wasnt impressed with the array of cheeses either; something for you guys to consider!!!

Simply Amazing!! A must try for foodie lovers!

Sadly our experience was not a good one. Avid fans of Masterchef Australia, we were expecting at least reasonable food with half decent service and ambience. We were disappointed on all fronts with building work going on during service, incomplete and missed orders and actually below average food at best (surely they can make their own fries and not.just deep fry packet fries?? Actually we didnt order fries but they came anyway!) They listened to the feedback and to be fair, sorted things out but the overall experience sadly remains. Such a shame that an iconic brand has been let down by producing such a poor experience here in Dubai.

The experience was overall positive. The starters as well as the main courses were good. However, the deserts were not as interesting as expected, even the crème brûlée was mediocre. Hope the selection of deserts will improve. On a final note, the service was great (Simba is a legend).

Advertise their terrace as pet-friendly but when you call to make a booking they say they need to check with management and then don’t return your call.

Excellent food and terrific ambiance. Special mention to Simba also for his service and kind manner. We will certainly be back!

Exotic but nothing extraordinary.

Its not a cheap restaurant, but the food and service was excellent.We had a table of 8 so we had to go over the top with confirming we were coming, apparently they had a lot of no-shows for bigger parties.If you are looking for a unique dining experience in Dubai, then this is going to be a good choice of restaurant for you.They have a drinks package where you can drink wine or beer for 2 hours for a fixed price and the quality of red and white wines were decent.I ate the pea and truffle soup which was great and I also had chicken waffle which was less great, still more than acceptable, but I had food envy for the steak, which I had a piece of and it was delicious.

I am a fan of Masterchef TV so when I found out they launched their first restaurant ever in Dubai, I immediately made a booking. And what more could I order but the MYSTERY BOX! It was pricey but as they say, experience is PRICELESS!!! Chef Margarita was awesome, until now I am drooling just thinking about the food that she made for us! Will definitely come back soon!

One of the best steak I had in Dubai

The most important thing in a restaurant is the taste and quality of food. I selected Asparagus, Salmon main course and creme brulee. All three dishes were wonderful and perfect. The servers knew their trade also having good knowledge. It is a lively place. Try out.

If you are to rate the experience I would give it a 4star. The waiter who hosted us for the night just made our experience fabulous.We did try the mystery box and the dishes from the menu both were not impressive. So for taste of food I would only give it a 2.5star.For price I would give it a 3.5star.Overall the take way from any restaurant is the experience, which MasterChef managed to capture thanks to their really friendly and hospitable waiters.

The restaurant has recently started to offer a Friday brunch and we took advantage of the brunch and stay offer. The food was excellent and service also to a very high standard (thank you Robin and team). I am vegetarian and made this known as soon as were seated, but it was only when we started to discuss the main course that the vegetarian menu was offered. The brunch includes unlimited starters and desserts and an a la carte main course. As I have an egg intolerance, this ruled out many of the options in each course, but this wasnt a problem as there were plenty of choice. We enjoyed everything about the experience except the noise level- the singer was very good but the volume was an issue and it was hard to have a conversation without shouting.

It is a totally different experience. The food was excellent. Each of the dishes had its own special taste. Staff is also very good and keep you the whoke time informed.

Quality meals, lots of varieties and welcoming stewards

Food was great. Servers and the hostess were really kind and helpful. You might wonder: why 2 stars then? We had a reservation for 3 people (unable to make a reserve for more than 3 even though every table had 4 chairs) at 10:15 PM (this was the earliest slot available). Thank God we arrived earlier than our reservation because the kitchen closes at 10:30 PM. Yes, we just ordered our appetizers and they were rushing us to order our entrées and deserts. That killed the whole experience for us. I wonder what happens if you make a reservation for the 10:30 PM slot...

Very tasty and good dishes, awful service. Every breakfast you need ordered twice and wait for ages to get what you want.

I have to say quite disappointed with the food. We had two starters which were bland and even did not have the ingredients which were advertised on the menu. As for the main course the lobster was like rubber and the curry sauce was also bland. The staff however were attentive so that’s why the extra star.

Was quite hyped when I came there:pros:-smiling, nice and professional staff.-the decor is so pretty especially the carpet in the rooms corridor, themed from the sea.-location is good not far from the marina mall.-the room is spacious and clean as well as a nice bathroom.-the restaurant is amazing, the decor and everything fit the master chef theme.cons:-disappointed about the food, seeing all the nice review telling that it would be the best breakfast youll ever had, I shouldnt have believed it as it was quite average. I do not criticise the staff or the chief team in any way they were all super nice, attentive and friendly but the food was so average. Maybe next time we will come for the dinner experience instead.

The gnocchi had no sauceThe fig and halloumi salad lacked sauce and was too sweetThe seabass wrapped in bread was oily and blandThe side of green beans had raisins so very sweet and tastelessThe sweet potatoes had tamarind sauce that was very sweet plus sweet potatoes were sweet causing it to be non edibleAll the truly lacked salt and seasoning. Surely this was not a masterchef experience.Greatly disappointed as I had high hopes. I promise there is no exaggeration in our assessment. Both my wife and I enjoyed only the free bread that ghey gave us in the begining.

Another visit to masterchef, the tv experience.Superfriendly staff and we were treated courteously to a delicious food!Food was excellent!We ordered the one with duck leg tacos (juicy amazing!), fried chicken waffle (excellent & must try! ) , salmon fillet with mushy peas cheesy stuff (loved it!), periperi potato fries were nice too. Trust me this was quite filling and recommend it as well.Loved the bread and mustard flavourful butter as always!Desert - this time we went by a recommendation eton mess deconstructed, it has got yummy sorbet placed at center. This one just refreshes your taste buds,must have to complete your meal :)Thanks to simmba, maria, robin and (desert was recommended by a swt lady sorry i forgot her name) for their lovely company throughout our meal, ensuring our bellies are full by the end of dinner :pNext time we will def go for their brunch!
