The chicken dish were all okay but really disappointed by the porotta.overall it is was kinda okay experience gave an extra star for the ambience..

Actually went for Biriyani. Unfortunately biriyani got finished because I am late. Reached there around 2.35 PM. Chosen Poratta and Chiken Masala as replacement for biriyani.Not bad I can say. Not that great even poratta and curry. Will try one more time

21 August 2021Went with two of my friends. The food was very bad and one of my friend almost vomited. She had Puttu Biriyani Beef. She also said there was not much beef also in the food. I took Appam and vegetable stew which had too much corn starch which I told them not to put for me. We had tea which was fine. The AC was not working which when told to them the counter person said it was working and he even was drenched in sweat. I was drenched in sweat. I will not be visiting this restaurant anymore.

I loved their leghorn chicken biriyani. It was full of masala and flavors. Perfectly cooked, this was a star!Tried their usual chicken biriyani as well.Chatti chor was pretty good, just that I didn’t like the sardine (mathi) fry which came along, the fish didn’t taste fresh.

Had dinner, too crowded on week ends, waiting time more than an hour,Had ummumas chicken chatti curry, puttu biriyani and beef fry.As a foody I felt a little less Spiciness in the dishes. Good for people who dont like much spicy food.Beef fry not the best in town.Puttu biriyani is ok.Had kalbu nirachathu - too good with a Sulaimaniഖൽബ് നിറച്ചതും സുലൈമാനിയിലെ മുഹബത്തും.

Taste are super varieties we get a lot here.Quantity of food is less when compared to the amount of money we are paying. If you can make a change for that also it will one of the best restaurants in Dubai .

Loved the biriyani and hareesa but there was no chutney ( Chammandhi ) the ones we get in mangala biriyani. Never the less. Food was filling and tasty and quantity is sufficient for 2 person even though mine was single mutton biriyani. My other 2 friends ordered combo for 2 which comes with hareesa and 2 pieces of fried chicken.Everyone must try the biriyani here.

Tried kizhi porotta. Chicken one was really tasty. And the Nostu cucumber with pickle ❤Update: Fish thava fry not recommended. Most pieces were head and was frozen fish. Beef roast and beef curry tasted same (still ok). Best part was puthiyapla kozhi and neypathal. ❤

Utterly disappointed with the food served with noon order.I ordered a kizhi porotta from city makhani and was very much impressed with the package. However the kizhi was not cooked and the worst was a dead fly on my food.I do visit your restaurant at Karama and had faced similar situations which were raised on concerns also. Every-time an affirmation was provided that it won’t be repeated but the story continues to go through.Kindly keep a watch on the food orders so others don’t experience a lunch as I did 😑😑😑

Had a lovely experience with my colleagues and enjoyed seeing our Pakistani colleague appreciating the kerala paratha, squid tawa fry, beef roast, beef biriyani, prawns tawa fry... their mango uppilittahu and carrot uppilittathu were amazing. Attitude of the staffs are commendable. Loved it!!!

Food is tasty but required more hygiene.Staffs are wearing very dirty uniforms filled with food waste, no gloves while serving the items, unwanted items lying around.

I had Magala Biriyani after hearing their add. But it was just a normal dum biriyani which anybody can get at any restaurant and cafeteria in Dubai. Nothing special

City Makani Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Dubai. The place is maintained well, and the staffs are friendly. They have a different Kerala menu, mainly north Malabar favourites.The food was delicious and served quick. I have been here multiple times, and on all my visits, I find the place crowded. I should have to point out that the food is moderately expensive here but worth it if youre trying something different.Enjoy the food!

It was our first visit to your outlet and sorry to say that wasnt that great.we order fish egg, chicken kadai, Beef coconut dry fry and Brain masala.poratta, neyyu pathal, and chappati.Beef was so hard and chewy, Brain masala and fish egg gravy was Raw flavour. May be not cook well. Chicken kadai gravy and chicken stand separate.. Chicken doesnt any season in it, kadai chicken gravy felt plain and no aromas for grounded spices.... At last we order nannari sarbath highly disappointed... So sweet and warm temperature, not at all cold Later we ask for ice cube to bring sarbath cold. taste like we only drinking nannari syrup.We left two nannari sarbath at our table to let your team knows that we had bad dinner with you guys, Because non of your teamAsk us about our experience about food..Service was good . explained all the food very well.

There were lot of options when it comes to food, and we tried their mutton kadai & wheat porotta they are delicious.

If you are looking for royal indian cuisine in reasonable price with beautiful ambiance so definitely would recommend this restaurant. Had been there few days back & tried their delicious food from variety of traditional dishes from their menu. Had their tandoori sizzler, bityqni & hamour gravy fish, really liked their tandoori chicken sizzler & biryani.

Very nice ambiance especially the outdoor area which specially have good tree shades, boat seats and all which with their fantastic fresh milk tea gives a nostalgic mood!Tea snacks are all good especially samoosa, unnjakkaaya, etc..

This is our second time we had food from makni be honest our first experience was amazing thats why choose here once again but they totally drag us into worst dinning experience 😩🤒🤒 the quality of food is very poor except dragon chicken and I dont how can I define their services what they give us😏😏 OK we can understand the restaurant is well occupied but if they cant manage properly why youre offering people??? Im paying and I have to get the value for it 🙄 just think about why youre customers is your customer 😊

Chicken Soup and Hot&Sour soup-- Nice, flavors and taste was really good.Prawns Tawa fry---It was street style, spicy and very delicious.Drums of heaven---Chicken lollipop,its basically the regular chicken lollipop but what I liked it there is not dry not so juicy, it was perfect.Ummamma’s Chicken--So this is the first time when we tried the authentic chicken recipe of kerala, recommended by the staff, And yes we loved it totally.Mangala Biryani- Authentic Malabari Biryani ! It was really yummy and a must try.Aleesa----This recipe, is basically made with wheat and very healthy.Owners own recipe.Parothaa --It was really soft.Temptation Falooda---Wow it was delicious, with lots of dry fruits and ice cream.Chirandi Special--This is something again I tried for first time, and I liked it.Basically made with lots of crushed ice and toppings.Note: The food quantity and quality was really really good.Highly Recommend then for some family time with mouthwatering food..Niyal --- Staff who attended us, he was so humble and recommended us all yum recipes. A big thank to him.

Terrible attitude of the staff. A bunch of us went and the guy kept taking reservations from people behind us. When asked he very sweetly said I can add your name at the bottom, you can wait or you can go. So we went:) will not be back. Cheers!

Traditional kannur foods available at reasonable price

Fell for the add on the radio. Tried the signature dish ayikkara fish curry and Fish egg. Not tasty and not worth the price.. Felt the fish was not fresh too.. Juices also need to improve. Service was excellent, explained the dishes properly. But its just that the food doesnt live up..

I prefer outdoor in this weather — also indoor seatings won’t disappoint as well ! Warm interiors !Tried the Uppilitta mango & pineapple ( love the mango)as the starters. For the first time, I tried the northern style kanji ( barley rice soup ) Try the pooyaplaa chicken & the biriyani! Yumm - the marination is top notch.Do recommend !

Food is good,but dine-in is like you are in hell.The A/C is disastrous and felt like I am in a boiler.The seating is the biggest joke.If you use the cushioned seats you need to carry a ladder inorder to climb to access the plates to consume the food.Better take the parcel and forget the dine in

This restaurant was on my list since long, as I had tried most of them in that locality. So yesterday, me and wife went there. We ordered chicken lollipop, mutton pepper masala with appam and nadan chai.Chicken lollipop was tasty no doubt, but could have been cooked tender. But, the mutton masala was absolute stellar and a winner. It was the best thing that I had in mutton. Service was excellent and they were very attentive. Overall, the place is a winner and should be worth your visit

Needs to work on their ambiance, always feel like a over crowded.I suggest to them if they can look in to seating arrangements might it will help them.

It was a poor decision to choose City Makani for the last Fridays dinner with family and cousins. Listening to their advertisements, went to them with high expectations but it did not even meet the baseline of our expectations. Two worse dishes from our choices to be named are the Puthiyapla Kozhi Nirachath and the Ummamas Chicken. I still do not understand how a chef can make an item without reflecting at least the taste of the masalas. Except the Mangala Chicken Biriyani and Ney Pathil, nothing else was upto the baseline our taste expectations

If you miss moms food especially kannurians, this is the best place i would suggest.... I meant to say for few dishes like beef or lagoon biriyani, neypathil, meen mutta, brain masala etc....

I have been visiting this restaurant since the time it opened, the quality of food and service is great. Weekends are usually packed for dinner, which takes 20 minutes waiting to dine in.Prices are very economical and ambiance is clean and neat.

One of the bland biriyani eaten recent times . After hearing great hype on their biriyanis, today we happened to wait almost 30 minute to get a seat in dining in their outlets. Must say restaurant is fully packed with customers, as per the reviews on social media pages, we too ordered their biriyani (chicken and beef biriyani) . And when food was served starts the agony, normally when u have a kerala biriyani first thing you will have the aroma of the biriyani which tickles your taste buds, to my surprise, biriyani which served us didnt have any of this feel. Biriyani rice was so bland and even chicken too which was just cooked served with rice (meat didn’t have the flavor) . I happened to notice almost all tables besides have food left overs which was a strong indication of customers disappointment ( I presume they had similar feel which we shared here)PS : We do understand its busy day especially on fridays, and their precooked food might get over which is good sign, they should have stopped taking orders if there wasnt and suggested alternatives instead of serving a quick made biriyani rice chicken combo ! By this act they would gained their reputation and goodwill and avoided such constructive feed backs from us !!

Todays my experience with this restaurant was not good, they are not properly organised the seating and the quality of the food is also not good, especially fish items. Also more expensive compare to other Kerala restaurant.We trust them and invited my friends there for the party, but they didnt fulfill my expectations.We are happy to pay more cash if the qualify of the food was nice.

Atleast during Ramadan when there is a kit designed to break fast for the community. It should be worth the money...!! 23 AED is too much for a kit to justify the items inside the kit. Basic kit is the requirement for a common man in the holy month of Ramadan. With this similar amount you get more than this in other restaurants.. All the best

One of the worst experience in life I have faced with my family. Not at all recommended for family . Ordering time will be 1 hour and only of then food will be received. Staff attitude is extremely bad. Not even considering as we are in a family.As per the staff if you want to eat then and then FKOF.I need to pass this message to owners “ do you really think your business will grow like this” I bet in one year time you will suffer a lot if the staff is not Controlled and food is not serve properly.

Too much crowd due to tiktokers. They come and sit here for hours and hours and make loud noise. Not at all suitable for family.

Authentic malabar Biryani. The best part is this biriyani is served with chicken dry fry ,wheat alissa . The chicken inside the biriyani was super soft. Don’t forget to taste the salted mangos and pineapples.

Very poor dishes

Visited the place with friends last week and tried hamur fish tawa which they call. All of my friends did not like it including me. The taste is not good, no salt got into it, small pieces and seems small size of hamur fish with big price. Really not good with the quality, not even worth, they charged AED60 with poor quality of fish tawa. We informed it to management. Hope they may take action for improvement. Giving only 1 star

We had wonderful time with city makani restaurant with chef Rahul he did great job super food we had aayikkara koot ( its seafood mixed) eleneer beef( superb) beef coconut fried. We appreciate the service done by Mr Vishak. Nice guy with good attitude..thanks city makani it was my first time. Thanks Chef Rahul. We will definitely come back ❤️

I have been at the best place multiple times for proper food and tea &snacks. It is a nice place if you want to have chit chat with tea and kerala snacks.The food experience was not that great as said by some food bloggers and their social media ads. We went with a group of 6-7 people. We waited for 20 mins in the UAE climate outside before we could enter. The interior was no different. AC was not cooling enough felt like 30. When we ask for suggestions to the restaurant staff they always upsell the top rated and gave the wrong idea about the portion size which lead to wastage. Being a customer, we expect the restaurant staff to warn if you have ordered similar items.We ordered 2 portions of chicken fry starter, cherulli chicken , beef chatti curry and butter chicken. The starter and cherulli chicken were similar and we ended having 3 curries of the same tasteThe rice pathiri was raw.The puttu was good.

Their highlight was Cherandi ( A drink) every week I used to go there just to have it. For the Past two weeks its quality is poor. Why? Because they lost focus and forgot their basic loyal customers. Why? Their business increased and a Cherandi costs just 10 AED.I have seen many businesses rise. But falling down follows a similar pattern.All the best.
