Excellent value for money, little taste of Mangalore in Dubai. The chicken ghee roast is delicious with some Neer Dosa, the fish thali, Kane (lady fish), buttermilk is also fantastic.

They Changed the insides since the last time i came a few years back, saw a few bugs back then running around, which was back in 2013 however they revamped this year and looks much better, in terms of food, the food is good.. However quite oily and prices could be reworked, no other cons for the most part, the owners are doing a good job with the place!

Canara restaurant looks like a hole in the wall, but it is the place to go for some authentic Mangalorean cuisine.It is a quaint little restaurant with very efficient and helpful staff.The food is absolutely delicious with all the seafood favourites like the Bombay duck fry (yes it is a fish, not a duck!)Their reputation precede them because if you are going to lunch on a Friday, youd better book in advance!One down side if youre eating out on the terrace and ordering fish, be ready to fight off a few flies!Other than that, it is great value for money if you want to feast on a budget.

Small , but a restaurant which gives you authentic mangalorean food . Most of the time , the place is crowded , thanks to the good food and quick service . Extremely reasonable prices till date and a must go place

This quaint little restaurant nestled in a quiet corner near Bur Juman serves some of the most simple yet authentic mangalorean cuisine. Their neer dosas and prawn curry are my favourite and the bombil fry (seasonal) is to die for. A must visit if you crave a little taste of home.

Never expected this drastic change in the taste of typical manglorean food this restaurant is famous for.. please take this as a feedback and do something about it. Chicken sukha, that was complimentary,was the only thing that tasted good, and very close to what authentic manglorean chicken should be. The pork bapat had highly noticeable amount of cloves flavour, the chicken curry given with Kori roti was excessively sweet because of the coconut milk used in it... Will never visit again. A big disapointment..

Good place for sea food lover especially from Mangalore

Hidden gem in the alleyways of Dubai. Fresh seafood cant get better than this. Superfast service ensures there is no gap between courses. These guys need encouragement

The food experience we had was average. The overall ambience of the restaurant is ok. Few of the items we ordered were good such as crispy chilly chicken, neer dosa (first batch ordered was bit cold, second batch was good), Chicken ghee roast. King fish fry and prawn sukka was average, the item recommended by the staff - Sanna was not freshly prepared seems that it was prepared in morning and since it was not finished he recommended it. My feedback is do not recommend items which are not up to the standard and serve only freshly cooked food.

Authentic Mangalore dishes. Even the taste and masala are not a familiar one for me. But still loved the taste. We ordered fish and chicken items both were good. They have started salad with chanas wich was the killer item

A descent restaurant for the Mangalorean food lovers staying in Dubai and Northern Emirates of United Arab Emirates.The food was so yummy I must say. We ordered, Prawns ghee roast and Pomfret fry. It was one of the best I ever had.. It was properly cooked, Masalas are yummy and tummy friendly. Most important, Fish was fresh, you can feel it. worth for every money spent.Its a small hotel, but very cleanly maintained.

Visited here after couple of years . This used to be one of my favorite places for mangalorean food while we lived closer to karama . Once we moved out I missed visiting here . So after a long break got back to my favorite place and yes with no second thought ordered my favorites. Bombay duck fry, pomfret Tawa fry, king fish tawa fry, prawns with mango curry, mackerel curry with sanna and neer dosa. The service was quick , the Bombay duck fry was crispy and yum , pomfret was fresh and flavorful and the king fish was delicious . The prawn with mango curry was the best of all and we couldn’t keep a count of how many neer dosa we had .Sanna’s were soft and fluffy. Mackerel curry was good too . Overall a super scrumptious meal ! Love this place for keeping up with their consistent taste and friendly service !

Delicious Mangalorean food. While from the outside the place and interior look small, it compensates in food quality, taste and service. Their seafood menu is a hit with most of my family members - kaane fry, lepo/ taarle curry etc while I relish my tastebuds of my favourite chicken ghee roast and neer dosa. Overall - loved it!

This place in al karama offers the best and truest possible dish of Mangalore. We were a large group and ordered over 7 to 8 dish and they all were just amazing and authentic, I believe they import the masala from mangalore and the entire staff is from mangalore. One of the finest places to dine outside India. Extremely lucky to end up there, great food and it reminds of a true mangi restaurant of the 80s and 90s the feel is nostalgic very basic and nice.

My favourite place for Manglorean style food! The prawn bhindi curry is to die for! I thought it was a wierd combination but it was beyond expectations! The neer dosas are quite nice too. Friendly staff. Simple but neat decor! Keep up the good work guys!!

Authentic Mangalorian food. Its been here for quiet long years but the taste of food remains the same and reminds us of our mom cooking. Have to try their chicken gravy with either Kori roti or neer dosa. Squid chilly, fish chilly, prawn fry, clamps sukka, all fish Frys. Only con is you dont get parking easily even if its RTA Paid parking, you have to search a bit.

Super food super service the ambiance is lovely makes u feel like ure in Mangalore in a cleaner version of a local restaurant alot of fun the food is hot and very reasonably priced. Best place for fish I have eaten at so far
