It has a good taste, and nice service. But it it has south Indian touch in taste and presentation, I cannot call it pure Pakistani taste. Overall good experience in normal price.

I used to think that Bur Dubai was the place to go for local eateries... But actually Al Barsha turns out to be a paradise for foodies with a liking for desi cuisine. Samarkand is a prime example of fresh grills and Pakistani curries. We had some wonderful mutton champ and minced meat, malai boti with plain naan. Simple but delicious!

Have visited this place when ever i have done late night shopping at MOE. One of the few best places for Pakistani food. Absolutely delight to eat her. Their service is fast and food is served quickly.Do try their halee, chicken handi and panner Tikka.The best part here, their raita not once it is sour like some of the places its always perfect with same taste and curds is perfect.They do could however improve on the cleaning the tables faster and reduce a tiny bit of usage of oil in the food.

Samarkand Restaurant, Behind Mall of the Emirates - Worst Bhendi Masala, too much oil, old bhendi used. Not to try this.

Hands down, taste is the best things here when it comes to Pakistani food, and prices are very reasonable, you might have to take the oil out of the curries, but at the end its amazing food no doubt, Ive eaten from here tens of times. Its not a 5 star restaurant, so dont expect luxurious seating. I have just enjoyed an evening meal here at the Samarkand. Good, tasty authentic Pakistani food served up by pleasant and efficient waiting staff. I have walked past this restaurant many times, but now that I have tried it, I will be back.

Tried mutton special handi. The taste was delicious. Raita was served as a compliment which was good in taste too. Roti was not upto the markI felt it was not soft enough to chew. Staff was attentive and good service definitely

Samarkand is a Pakistani restaurant serving South Asian food.We went there as all the adjacent restaurants were housefull and people are waiting outside too.Samarkand was also almost full. We waited for almost 15 minutes inside. No one cared. At last we got a table. But the used plates and food wastes remained in the table for another several minutes. Later someone came and cleaned and a friendly person came to take the order.The food is good though not that exciting, but its worthy for the reasonable price they are charging.But I wont go or recommend this place to others.Pakistani restaurants are well-known for the pleasant nature and hospitality of the staff.But I must say this place is an utter failure in this regard.

Visited several times. You can park your car @The Emirates mall parking (which is opposite to the restaurant) and enjoy the tasty cuisine.Spacious and clean.

Samarkand used to be our regular stop for reasonably priced Pakistani breakfast but now no more. The staff is completely changed and along with it the taste of food has taken a nose dive. We ordered nihari which was just plain beef curry. The second dish we tried was chana and that too was not good. The dominating taste was chilly and spice. The price is still v reasonable but this is not Pakistani food.

I just eat here beaf nehari which was not tasty other services is very good

If you live in Al-Barsha A or around and like to have Pakistani or Indian cuisine, this place will serve you with some very delicious food and that too at a very affordable price. They are also very quick in delivering food so if you dont have time to go there you can just order, theyll deliver it pretty fast.

I have been here a few times whenever I passed by this area, near MOE. It offers typical dishes of pakistani food, price is very reasonable. It never disappoints me in terms of food quality. Come here, get cheap Pakistani food, but dont expect too much from the customer service.

Used to be named Iqbal restaurant many years ago. I like their food, prices are very reasonable and especially weekend morning breakfasts at this place are something to look forward to. However I have two comments, 1 for the waiters, please be more attentive to your customers and have the next roti ready when you see that we are about to run out. 2. Please do something about the bathrooms. They need to be cleaned on a better frequency.

For me it was like food hub been several time ive visited with my friend samarkand because thats the only pakistani restaurant we have close by but now ilI not advises to anyone visit this place food quality is not good while eating Ive found hairs twice in just 1 week still i gave them chance to improve their quality and last time i order chicken chilli and same issue no more samarkand

I ordered chicken biryani today for me and for my colleague whose belongs to samarkand city and I told this is the best biryani ever you eat in dubai, but I was wrong because the rice not fully cooked and it had just oil with rice and one small piece of chicken, I feel very shame in front of my colleague, all over packing and sauces was great but honestly no taste at all.

Great food, big portions, fast and friendly service. Waiters very helpful and prices are perfect. Loved it!

Just had Mutton biryani here. As I am a big fan of biryani and have tasted countless times. This is rated 4 star. Because there is always a room for improvement. The biryani was well cooked and steamed well. But in commercial mutton biryani we should always use boneless mutton. Thats the reason I couldnt say mutton was good. The presentation of food was good. Finally one biryani order is enough for 2 people.

Reliable and convenient location. Park your car in MoE for free and walk into Samarkand opposite. Along with Ravis its one of the finest for Pakistani food. This particular branch is unlike the others. This serves Pakistani food served by Pakistani staff and the rest are all Indian staff and Indian food (yes there is a huge difference between the foods). Well worth trying.

I ordered lunch from here the other day after discovering this place on Zomato and i am really impressed with this little hidden gem in Al Barsha.Food.They have a very reasonable menu and great combos like Manchurian rice, Chicken Triple rice at cheap prices. They do not add a delivery charge.I ordered for the Chicken Manchurian Rice and got the order delivered before time.It had a very generous serving and tasted good too. The gravy has 4 big pieces of Chicken and is sufficient for the rice. I had requested for extra Schezwan Sauce which they sent.Service - I ordered online and it got delivered before time.Very reasonable!

They will make sure to humiliate or at least have a heated debate with you. Every friend of mine had their individual experiences with this restaurant and every time they were disappointed with them.

I was staying in nearby vicinity and I had time for almost 4 days meals at this restaurant. Not only the taste is good but also is the quality. This restaurant is worth trying for Pakistani & Lahori food. The taste is awesome, please do visit the restaurant and try butter chicken, Nalli Nihari or any food of your choice.

I regret to say this but this restaurant has made me put my First one star review just because of the cleanliness and the attitude of the reception staff. Ordered two parcel Tea and when opened the lid of one of them I found a strand of HAIR. As a responsible consumer brought it to the notice of the Staff present and they plainly refused to acknowledge it.Then it was changed to ohh come on its just a small strand of hair and then suddenly the game changed to I quote It Might be your hair..Just ask us if you need another tea . They plainly refused to acknowledge and apologies for a 2 dhs Tea and started heckling me out of the restaurant. When I fired back saying I will complain with Dubai Municipality(which I did just seconds after I left) the response that I got was a Small complaint wont stop our business. To the people reading this and Smarkand Management its not the matter of a 2 Dhs Tea or a strand of hair its a matter of Public Health and Cleanliness which I am sorry to say you and your staff failed to meet and even denied. One of the few restaurants spoiling the standards and name of Dubai City.

Samarkand Restaurant is one of my favourite restaurants of Pakistani Foods they have variety of foods if Mutton as mutton kharahi mutton Peshawari Mutton Korma mutton beryani mutton pilau and also for chicken kharahi kebab nehari, paya, namkeen,The staff is very cooperative and ready for services, the restaurant also has the facility of open air service.The one problem is of Parking nearby
