The Mwsalat office (ONTC) has been shifted from Deira to Abu Hail Metro Station exit 2 , the person in the counter is very friendly and helpful. The bus also stops at Al Rashidiya Metro station but I would personally recommend boarding from abu hail. The bus fare from Dubai to Muscat is 55 dirhams ( one way ) and 90 dirhams for both ways.If you want to go to Ruwi in Muscat, you have to take the night bus .Now the bus part. The bus is extremely neat and clean. It provides USB charging ports in every seat. Most of the the passengers were South Asian citizens and Filipinos and you will also meet a few Omani citizens.Wifi starts working once youre in Omani territory, and youll need an Omani number to login. The Omanis who drive and manage the bus are very friendly and helpful, they will help each and every passengers clear immigration. And the good part is that they speak English, Arabic and surprisingly Hindi/Urdu as well . Which is great for South Asian travellers like myself.

Took the 7.30am to muscat today and the journey was perfect arrived in 6.30hrs. the morning bus is the best as you miss the traffic.i recommend that you go to the office the day before and book a seat as it can get full especially over the weekends.the bus was super new, seats were very comfortable and the driver spoke perfect english. aircon is on super cold the whole trip so make sure you take a sweater.also make sure you keep 40 dirhams for the border exit.

I had used ONTC to travel from Dubai to Oman. They give the best and secure service. If you need to book with them you need to go and visit their office at the given location and they give you the tickets towards OMAN.They usually don’t answer the calls on the landline. Better visit them direct and purchase the tickets. The drivers are good and friendly. This is the cheapest way to travel from dubai to Oman for just AED.55/-

Convenient and cheap way of traveling to Muscat. The buses leave from here everyday at 7.30 am, 3.30 pm and one in the night. The ticket was 55 AED. The journey was approximately 6h, out of which 1,5 h boarder proceedings (custom control, buying visas). Nice and helpful driver. As an alternative to a plain it is a good and cheap option.

Best service for inter country. I liked the bus. It was good. Note: its not a sleeper bus. Only sitting, thats bit challenging. But in 55 bucks you cant expect better service then this.Overall I enjoyed the trip. They will wait for all to get the Visa and take all to Oman! Do give try if you want to visit Oman from Dubai! Wifi is available but works very slow. Driver is supportive. Note youll have to be ready to get down when your location arrives. If you dont know the location ask Driver to inform you when your destination arrives and still you have to be active.

Never travel by bus from Dubai to Oman using this service. Although it is quite cheap (50 AED one leg), the travel time is more than 7 hours which is total waste of time. Further Hatta Border on both sides will waste even more of time. Its better to hire a car to travel.

Every time i travel to Oman i didnt have any problem except the guy in ticket office. i do not know with him but he always ask you to come back and when you come back he will tell u come back again or full.. they should have a system like in Oman, so they can process advance booking.. not everyone living near abu hail station

The bus ride itself was completely fine. The drivers friendly. The only problem was that they didn’t really speak English, but as mentioned that were nice so we found the way to communicate. The problems started when we arrived in Muscat. Totally by chance, it turned out that the bus is not going to the bus station which is mentioned on the website and that a few people had to change the bus to a local one (additional ticked required). On the day of our return to Dubai, no one in the office picked up the phone so we went to the office in Ruwi to check where exactly can we take the bus. We asked the staff member to show us the exact location on GoogleMaps and when we came there, it turned out that he misled us. The station was 10’ away from the spot he showed us. Not very tragic but it was super hot and we obviously didn’t know the area so it took us even much longer.Really the info in the website should be more accurate!

Horrible trip! I’ve never ever tried anything like that, took us 10 HOURS from muscat! Everything went smooth in the start, and when we arrived the boarders, and everyone got their things done, we came to Dubai. While people where fixing their visa things, some of us finished and got back to the bus. And then the driver started driving, BACK to Oman boarders because someone had issues there. So we went back to Oman, to give a luggage to one of the passengers who didn’t go with us to Dubai. So we drove all the way back, he left half of the passengers at UAE boarders without telling them anything. And then we drove back to UAE, and still no one gave us any information. We came back to UAE and the security was long. Finally we arrived Dubai at 12.30!!! First time I go with the bus and definitely the LAST time I’ll do it. They said it took 6 hours to get there but we almost made it the double. Otherwise the bus was clean and comfortable but that is the only positive thing I can say about it.

So ONTC office where you buy ticket is inside metro station...... I repeat the office where you buy tickets to go to Oman is inside the metro station exit 2...... Dont exit the metro station.

That is why he is not attending phone calls. But he is a nice person.Your travel experience will depend on driver. Some driver will stop bus for refreshing and some will be annoying. Dubai to muscat travel time is nearly 7hours and muscat to dubai will take around 9 hours because there are so many stops after departing muscat bus station

Took the bus from Dubai to Sohar. It was not possible to leave the luggage at the ONTC office while waiting for the afternoon bus. All the staff was somewhere in between disinterested and outright rude. One guy tried to charge us twice the amount the tickets actually cost. We arrived in Sohar with an hour and 10 minute delay. The border crossing went okay. Just do, what all other people do on the bus. The busses are modern and you can recline the seats. The driver was very good and I felt save at all times.

Bus was changed 5 hours after in Sohar. the next bus was OK but with a Freezing AC. I got a very bad cold, stayed in bed for a week. and im sure Im not the only one.No one to complain to. During travel dxb to mct on a 7am bus today on bus reg ad 6720, I noted a Bus driver was rude to ladies and family, there should be background check of the driver, repeat offenders should be avoided by ONTC as it reflects poorly on the culture of oman. The bus service is used by many tourists and this gives a bad taste to tourist who come to oman to understand their culture. Perhaps this was a rare incident and the driver may have been in a bad mood but the bus service is a gateway to oman and so in my view drivers should be given training how to present their nation in the best possible way. It takes a lot of effort to build reputation but very little effort to ruin the reputation.
