Never imagined that we have this much lively Mexican restaurant is inside Souq Madinat Jumeirah. We can enjoy excellent Mexican food and Margarita here with lots of in-house entertainment. Friendly staff here is also the fine addition to the services offered by this superb restaurant!

We went for the NFL promotion, and the had only 2 types of beer for the promotion, and silly enough none of them were even American beer. It was super annoying that we couldnt use entertainer with the beer, all places weve been didnt have issues. The food was expensive, and bland (was not true Mexican flavors we are used to), they didnt have filtered water, 20aed for local water is basically stealing. The staff were attentive. The cocktails were more spice than tequila.

The the restaurant was located inlovely area and the weather was just perfect, we sat outdoors.In terms of food I enjoyed the guac and the chicken dishes, however the beef tacos were to strong and meaty (felt like the sheep was with me)Tried their churros and it was crunchy and delicious, perfect caramel sauce on the side and their tres leches was light and fluffy.The staff were welcoming and friendly.Had a lovely time!

As a Mexican, is very complicated to find a place with real Mexican food in Dubai, I must have been at least 7 times to Maria Bonita!Great Mexican deco, fantastic food and excellent service from the staff, I would like to thank especially to Mr. Benjamin and Chef Ana Paula.The Chef went beyond our expectations, our food was delicious, truly made me feel like home, We tried mole enchiladas, chilaquiles and tacos al pastor!!! Experience was okay, the fajitas we ordered were good.The overall evening was pleasant but the staff started arguing with each other next to our table, which didnt complement our dinner.

For years I have been eating at the jumeriah branch and always lived it but the food was so different the menu is even different. We have the nachos which were good but then we had the beef jumbo quesedilla which was actually really tasteless and greasy and they gave only a tiny drop of sour cream and extra is 10aed. The only good thing about it was it was very cheesy. We also had the chicken fajitas which we didnt even eat it was super rubbery and also tasteless.Also we had the entertainer (which I no longer recommend as I feel like a criminal using it these days) they wouldnt let us use it and have happy hour drinks, first time Ive heard this rule in 10 years. They even said we couldnt eat close the bill then have drinks. I just dont think restaurants should use the entertainer if the dont like people using it at the end of the day we do pay for it were not cutting coupons out if the newspaper!We had started eating when I took the pics.

If I could rate them any lower I would. FOOD IS PATHETIC AND NOT AUTHENTICALLY MEXICAN.. The Mexican cocktails are a massive disappointment as well. If you know Mexican you’ll know once you try anything on there menu it’s a fake.My husband and I had dinner at Marina Bonita as it was recommended by another chef.The first time we went the food was okay and we decided to visit a second time on a busier night.We ordered the shrimp quesadilla, patats bravas and rib eye taco. The quesadilla was delicious the potatoes to.However the ribeye was shocking. They used offcuts of the trimmed flap which was gruesome, I should have taken a photo sadly I was so angry after Jorge Alejandro told us that’s the taco and if we don’t like it that’s just how it is and it’s good.My husband being a professional in the food industry provided constructive feedback politely however we were rudely confronted by this guy!! Taken back by the experience!! DO NOT GO ITS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

A great location in Madinat Jumeirah. Service is good and quick. A lower rating as I thought the flavours and food will be better....the fajita I could of had anywhere, no defining flavours or taste that would be expected from a restaurant known for its cuisine.Unfortunately I probably wont go back to experience again....food portions, pricing and quality needs improvement

Very bad customer service.. they ladies outside can barely manage the bookings and tables. They don’t care about customer satisfaction and comfort. We requested a table indoor and they said we are fully booked but we can book outdoor and if there is any availability we will switch u in. So we booked the table , we arrived and asked if there is a table inside. They told us in 30 min we can shift you in. So we waited for more than 30 min and no one got back to us, we asked them again and after 5 minutes one of the ladies appeared and asked us to come inside but the moment she realized we aren’t three we are 2 she said no table available ! And that’s after we ordered food and drinks ! We felt like it’s not about the table it’s about accommodating as many people as they can on account of others .. and she used this excuse to justify herself “ those clients came first” and we were there for more than 30 min we just saw their faces 5 min ago lol and they were standing outside smoking.So alternatively she asked us to move to the bar ..we weren’t comfortable moving to the bar with all the food we ordered however we checked the place and by the time we went inside to inform our friend they gave the slot to someone else. Lol when we asked her why ? She said “u said u don’t want it” when I said “I will check with my friend and come back”.Places and restaurants that don’t focus on quality service shouldn’t operate. Close down better.Anyway even the food wasn’t that much good, their cocktails weren’t good. It definitely wasn’t our day.

The Cesar salad was sold out today.Our waitering staff apologized sincerely and recommended a taco instead.Since I was hungry, I ordered a chicken pastor taco which was super delicious. On top of that, the chef came up with a small bowl of salad with garlic dressing for me to eat with the taco.The staffs here are extremely friendly, very considerate and they really listen to our needs.I will definitely come back and would recommend to all my friends.

Just avoid this place...The drinks are OK... the food on the other hand is sad... very sad...As someone who has lived in NYC and had fantastic Mexican food who also traveled to Mexico multiple times, Maria Bonita is just not it...The portions are tiny. And they make you pay extra for any ingredients you add on the taco like cheese....I really wanted to like this place, but instead left very disappointed.We tried 1 taco and the chicken nachos.... I wish I never tried the nachos.. I wont even start with how terrible they were.

This place is usually has a very nice casual atmosphere with nice decent Mexican food.However last night I dont know what the problem was. Maybe the chef was off or something, but the place and food were a mess. Pretty much all the food we ordered was horrible.Guacamole made with unripe avocado.Ceviche wasnt diced properly and was coated with too much onion.Tacos (I think) actually made me physically sick and I ended up with an upset stomach.I said I think the chef was off because drinks were good as usual.I would have given 1 star for yesterdays experience, but in the past its been much better. Hopefully this is just a one-off inconsistency, but I dont think I will be coming back again any time soon.

Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. Ive been a regular at the other branch in Jumeirah for years, but in madinat jumeirah there is absolutely no love in it. Usually mexican food is not rocket science, so you cant go massively wrong, so I thought...DrinksWe started off with a margarita and a stella draft, but unfortunately the margarita was quite watery and the beer was about 80% full as if someone already had a sip. Complained and it came back still half a cm below the o.5 line and I complained again but was ignored this timeMain courseWe ordered 2 shrimp fajitas, which usually arrives sizzling, but ours were merely warm, it seemed they have been forgotten for 10 minutes, but it cam quite fast, so I guess they just didnt heat the plates.SidesThe fajitas come with 2 sides each, so dont expect the usual plate with rice, sour cream and guacamole that they serve in jumeirah or any other mexican restaurant serves. You have to choose 2 and pay for the rest, but if you have 2 fajitas they increase to 5 sides in total.We ordered 5 times guacamole as a side and that was fine with them so it seemed. However the fajitas arrived with 2 small pots of guacamole only and even when I asked why there were not 5 they brought out 1 more and said sorry cant give 5. Not explanation was given, but usually 5 sides of guacamole we hoped would prompt them to give us just one big portion in the lava stone, but no such luck unfortunately.Price1. The hot sauces you have to buy at the front desk to eat with your meal and then you can take the bottle home. To be honest thats not an issue for us as we like the sauces, but to not offer this with your meal is not great .2. The overall price tag is very high for the drinks, but the food I thought was not over the top until I found out that fajitas dont come with the usual sides. If you want all sides a simple non sizzling shrimp fajitas will set you back 150 dhs ++Overall the touch that the jumeirah branch has is simply missing and the waiters unfortunately are super under qualified with little language skills. I wont come back here and it also took my love away for one of my all time favourites in Jumeirah, which will sadly not see me again so soon either ...

I had a reservation at 6.30pm and arrived on time. The man responsible to guide people to the table aggressively responded “so many people called before you”. So even though I had a reservation, not wait-list, I had to argue for my right and was talked to aggressively.In the end he gave in but I decided to leave.

Great view on the terrace, guacamole is excellent, however some staff aren’t very knowledgeable of their menu, other than that it is a nice spot for food and drinks

Although the food in this place is always good, I had 2 bad experiences with them and both had to do with reservations.First I came with my husband without a reservation and the staff was very confused while there were so many tables available they put us at the high table to wait god knows for what. After we finally got a table, the remaining “reserved” tables remained being empty!Second and the worst experience was with my friend PHYSICALLY coming there and booking a SPECIFIC table for SPECIFIC time for her birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant we found that the table wasn’t reserved for us at all and there were people sitting there already. After explaining the situation the manager said that there was nothing they could do. Imagine the disappointment for my friend at her day. Very bad customer service. Would never go back after this incident.

We called the restaurants and told them we want to come for lunch.We were 15 mins awayThey approved but said outdoor seating might take some time there are 3 people ahead of us. We told them we dont mind waiting especially when the manager said itll be around 30 mins wait.When we arrived, we saw the manager refusing to let the waitress seat us outdoors. When he noticed that we are watching, he approached us saying he has a bar table outside but he isnt sure if till be comfortable since Im pregnant. And that he has 25 people coming at 430-5 and thats why the rest of the 5 tables are reserved, including the bar table he offered us earlier.He told us we can use any of the tables as long as he can move us once they arrive.He then said, they can come by 6 of 7 , yet he will still move us.If ur guests reserved the tables at 4:30 and arrived at 6, why will you still move us? He had no proper explination that can be interpreted by a sensible brain. He lost customers for none sense.And about the food, we are regular customers at the Jumairah branch, the food is good.

Maria Bonita, I used to go to this place since their old branch in jumeirah area, it used to have a very nice authentic Mexican food, but unfortunately lately service is very much down grading, and the place is loosing its vibes, and quality of service is going down while the price is becoming insanely high for small portions! many of the reviews over here agree on that too!First I called to reserve a table so the receptionist asks me if i have an entertainer voucher or Emirates airline discount when I asked for a table booking! which sounded very weird, as if they want to give priority for people who have no discount vouchers to reserve first!So we arrived and received the food menu which had some kind of fresh and wet stains of salsa! Which obviously tells you the menu was taken from someone else’s table without any cleaning or Sanitizing brought to us! “Hola corona!”They have a coke refill option which is great but it’s my first time ever to receive a refill with the same used glass and straw they literally refill your current glass when you ask for a refill with the same straw!, we were group of people on the same table so basically when they took our glasses for a refill the waiter couldn’t remember which glass is for which person!!! It’s COVID 19 period amigo!Apparently great hygiene measurements are being taken in this restaurant, but at the end we are in dubai even if they are trying to give us some Mexican vibes maybe but por favor señor change the glasses if not then at least the straws!Over all food is average like any other Mexican street food but prices are insanely high for the portions! Muy mal y No me gusta! Gracias por todo!

This was my first and definitely last visit ever. Very bad service. The staff don’t communicate anything to you. Suddenly out of nowhere they put a paper on my table with another person’s name indicating that the table will be reserved in 15 mins! Many other terrible things have happened.
