A fabulous place to be with family or friends or as a couple. Stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it there. Missed the infinity edge pool which was under renovation. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Got hurt in the pool, even for a minor injury they called a nurse to cover the wound. Really thankful for that. The free camel ride was a thrilling experience along with taking photos while holding the national bird of the nation (falcon). Looking over the dunes, far in the horizon, the setting of the sun at dusk making the sky look sun-burst orange was a breathtaking view.
This is one of the best hotels and resorts. From friendly staff to lovely designs and rooms, to good food, to clean pools and excellent breakfast and dinner buffets.I loved everything about the stay. The old type architecture gives that authentic Arabic feel. The location is also intentional that you would be secluded to really be absorbed in the ambiance. The restaurants and pool particularly are great,Do I want to drop everything and run back to the hotel? Yes!Is there anything I would rather have changed? Yes! Since the bed wasn’t my best I expectation and the lights feels like candles. Also you could randomly meet a reptile, some signage on the notorious area could keep guests more aware
This is one of the best hotels and resorts I have stayed in. From friendly cooperative staff to lovely designs and rooms, to clean pools and excellent breakfast. We stayed in our anniversary, and got a cute small complementary cake for that. I loved everything about the stay. The ancient design of the hotel and rooms, with attention to details.I believe in winter it will be much more attractive, but still you may have kinda less humid weather in the early morning, and a walk was nice at that time.We stayed in August 2021 on FEX offer which was very cost-saving.Keep in mind that this is a hotel in the middle of the desert, so, apart of hotels restaurants, other restaurants and supermarkets are minimum 40 min away. One more things, you may expect geckos (in the outdoor corridors not inside the rooms), from which my wife was scared, but for me it is justified, and in my opinion it gives more authenticity :)Being tall, I felt like the bed was a little bit short for me..And, Finally, the lights in the room are dim (which is also nice), but I suggest adding brighter lights to be switched on upon guests desire. Those are very minor points, which are negligible in comparison to the overall excellent experience. Definitely coming back again, when infinity pool is open (I guess in September 2021).
Beautiful resort. Had an enjoyable night there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be visiting again when the weather is cooler.
Excellent resort, perfect for a night or two stay if youre visiting Dubai. Our stay included a buffet dinner the day we checked in, and breakfast the following morning. The price also included activities such as camel riding and holding a falcon for photos. All the staff are very professional and made our experience even better. We will most certainly be returning to this magical desert resort.
The present of this review is for constructive bases, some misstakes are not acceptable at a 5 star hotel level. And I expect this review reaches Management and another guest don’t have to go through the same bad experience. I requested in my booking a room far from family area and kids, in order to enjoy the silence of the desert. I was given room 206 and surprise surprise room 207 was a family with kid and non stop noise. Why a 5 star supposedly trained staff do this kind of mistakes. I had to change room at 7:30pm with a horrible unprofessional service from the receptionist in duty. You can’t say sorry when you are expected to provide a 5 star service. Is poor and unacceptable.
Amazing resort, excellent atmosphere and hospitality. They will make sure to make you feel like home. The staff is just Amazing... Food is fabulous, both International and Arabic dining. We had a great stay here and never felt this welcoming in any other place before...Keep going guys and hats of to the whole team (there are many names which we would like to say) and thier management .
Exotic Arabian style desert resort, far from the beaten path of most Tourists visiting Dubai, near Al Qudra Lake, about 1hr drive from Dubai city. If you are looking for a desert getaway and want to be pampered in 5 star luxury by super attentive staff, then this is the place for you. Good for families too, as free camel rides are available or take a selfie with a giant Eagle. Great facilities and restaurants, be sure to check out the Masala restaurant in the resort, simply delicious authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes. Plus a cool infinity pool overlooking the desert dunes to while away the hot afternoons.
Fantastic doesnt cut it.Friendly and helpful service straight away. Spacious clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent room service and reception service over the phone.Top notch breakfast buffet with Gluten Free options.Masala Indian restaurant absolutely fantastic.Booking our next trip again shortly.
Upon arrival we were not welcomed or any service with valet, our luggage or where to check in. The check in were friendly and the breakfast was just ok and there was no ambiance whatsoever. Over priced for what was served. The rooms are great however the air con is stuck on 18deg which was far too cold and all the phones didn’t work.Pool staff were un attentive and the pool is very dated. The Arabic buffet was again ok. It was suppose to be a nine course station however there was seven not including the seafood and steak section, which I think is many peoples preference. All in all- it was over priced for what was provided.
Ambience:One of the most beautiful hotels right in the heart of the desert. The traditional Arabic architecture with its serene court yards and small water pools creates a very peaceful yet elegant space. The silence of the desert early morning n the sound of insects at night is like music to the ear while sitting outside. This place is by far one of my favorite places because it has the luxury yet traditional vibe to it. Every corner of this hotel has a picturesque quality. The swimming pool is my favorite part, it’s so peaceful and calming.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Food:Food is great at any of the restaurants. There is a diverse selection of food one can have while staying in the hotel and all are very good even the food at the pool is great.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Service:Very attentive staff, super welcoming.⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️Overall:Love love love this hotel.
Decor was nice, however it is definitly not a 5 star experience. We booked the best room available w terrace, full of pigeon droppings. There was a left over straw from previous guest under the bed. We had to ask constantly for waters, and its 45 degrees out, in the desert. The waters they gave were tiny. Many times when we asked for room service, they either forget something or did not bring enough. When we did in room dining, the plates were left all day w no one to collect them, and we had to call for them to be collected. The room was dry, so the humidity meter was off balance. Its incredibly dry at night, and though the temperature was cold, it left our mouths extremely dry, only to find no water in the mornings. No a 5 star experience at all. Staff were nice but not 5 star attentive. The restaurants only open aft 7pm for dinner which is very late for a lot of diners. The Indian restaurant had great food, so at least that was a plus.Overall its maybe a near 4 star experience.
Amazing area. Very good service. Staff very helpful and friendly.Shame the main pool was closed and I didnt get into from booking.comAll goods!
Unique desert experience. Beautiful place and lovely atmosphere.
Hotel is beautiful the decor, architecture & energy is just amazing. Breakfast bar is high quality with lots of options. The Iftar buffet food was very delicious so delicious that it gets very very crowded. Would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We even did archery with the expert Jamal he was very helpful & fun. My only constructive criticism would be the pool lining needs maintenance. The floor is peeling & it gives an unpleasant texture. Besides that gorgeous hotel would recommend.
Resort amazingFront door staff great work, Kim at the front desk very kind, housekeeping at the best it can be, pool staff very friendly and helpful, restaurants: great food, the reception, chef and servers always make sure your satisfy, Desert Tour with Ali was a dream come true, sunset and felt very safe, thank youWe’ll come back soon
Beautiful, elegant and serene are a few words that can aptly describe Bab Sl Shams. Perfect place for anyone looking for a getaway from the monotony of city traffic and subsequent pollution. Surrounded by date palms laden with ripening fruits and chirping of birds, this is one experience we would always cherish in our travelogue. Not to forget the courteous and ever helpful staff who made our experience richer!
Desert GEM.Tremendous placed deep in the desert only 35 min from Dubai, area is just stunning.Hotel is traditional Arab built with lots of secrets. Rustic rooms but very luxurious.Great pools and outdoor areas, including camel rides and falcon pictures.Tremendous a Friday brunches, food is just out of this world with exceptional seafood and bbq.The rooftop sunset bar is stunning and service is good.Coming back over and over again
Gorgeous hotel for some simple relaxing time. The staff are extremely helpful, pool is temperature controlled, and the restaurants are lovely. The only suggestion I could make for the room is to make the lighting of the bedroom brighter (or get some bigger windows for more natural lighting). I loved the bathroom finishings by the way, very Arabesque. It was a perfect luxury place without the gaudy finishings everywhere. Very classy.
This was our chosen place to finish off our tour of the UAE and our favourite. One of the most beautiful hotel rooms we have stayed in.The pool was great and we spent far too much time at the swim up bar and the chefs were able to provide delicious food for a coeliac. At night we went to the Indian restaurant, again delicious food and fantastic staff. My only regret was wed only factored in one night at the place. We will be back.
Loved the architecture and deco....the infinity pool is being renovated so we didnt get to use it but the family pool was just as awesome.... excellent and courteous staff...10/10! Cynthia
Excellent experienceThe Resort was amazing, the staff at entrance, kim at front desk, housekeeping, pool staff, breakfast time unbelievable, the chef and the servers, Desert Tour with Ali was unforgettable he make sure we did it at the right time for sunset, always in a safe way, thank you all, 👍👍👍
A special get away, with amazing staff and food. I will definitely come back again! We loved the Arabian night theme. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, I slept like a little baby. One night is not enough to explore the hotel and enjoy its amenities. A special thanks to Yehya from the reception area for his amazing cooperation and helping us with what we need to enjoy nice stay!
Nice place to stay, however after checkout we couldnt fresh up and take a normal shower after using the pool (only outside and in the toilet). They told us before checkout there is a separate private room where we could change. This was not possible anymore so we were misinformed.
This will be my favourite place to get away from all the city stress....Get Destressed here....I highly recommend it....🥰
Awesome ambience, unmatched facilities, great customer service and great resort. Free parking or a valet parking is available in the resort. The Check in process was very easy. A deposit of AED500 per room has to be given while check in and that was refunded during the check out. The check out process took only less than 5 minutes and was very quick. We booked 2 superior rooms with dinner for one night. Since we were a family of 4 persons they upgraded our rooms with balcony and provided interconnecting rooms at free of cost. They also allowed us for an early check in. Resident can access family pool. There is a complimentary falcon show and camel ride for the residents. A Lavish dinner with live entertainments is served in Al hadeerarth restaurant which is less than 5 minutes walk or else you can avail the free buggy ride to and from from the restaurant. Breakfast is served in Al Forsan. Unlimited food and wide variety of spreads in both restaurants. There are also other restaurants in the resort. Rooms are traditionally themed with cozy beds. Awesome experience. Highly recommended.
Beautiful Resort ❤ loved that place..everybody there was so co operative...really appreciate 👍breakfast amazing 👏 Al Hadeerah restaurant was luvly...great buffet ambience live activities...excellent everything
I had such a nice time here, loved the atmosphere and the style of the hotel, Indian restaurant was also lovely, but the private floating breakfast was the best part!three different pools with a view in the dessert, free camel ride was also fun, great for family’s and couples
Incredible buffet, one of the best I’ve ever seen in my life. Great vibes and atmosphere, kids corner for all the children’s favourite foods. Pony rides/camel/horses for adults & children. It’s a really special place to go with your family, we absolutely loved it
A wonderful Hotel with Great staff. Everyone is so friendly and respectful. The staff from other Hotels should go to your Place and should learn from you. If I could recommend only one Hotel it would be this one. Thank you very much for your hospitality
Great experience. Even though had an issue with ac in room, they happily gave us upgraded roo as it was middle of night and allowed to keep our stuff in original room till morning. Hadeerah and forsan food is great. Expensive as expected but worth it.
One of the Most popular desert Resort in Dubai. Well maintained and lovely place for a weekend getaway.
Very nice and rustic place. The falcon show and camel ride a little “worn” but was fine. Breakfast was worth 5 stars and so was the service staff. Room style is an acquired taste and some will love it others will think it’s too rustic.
We have a brilliant experience staying at this hotel. We booked for 2 nights and wish we had time to stay longer. The hotel is immaculately clean, extremely well kept and the rooms are spacious, well-appointed and with comfortable beds. The pools are clean, chilled and well spaced out to allow for distancing. We tried 2 restaurants, plus the hotel buffet and each meal was great. We will definitely return to this hotel!
Great place for family getaway. Food is great at Hadeerah and Forsan. Friendly staff and very accommodating.
Very nice hotel with old uae building design, the place provides all kinds of services and they are all great. the restaurant is very nice and usually it is crowded, the only problem i had was the bed were uncomfortable and they felt wet.
Beautiful property. Amazing service. Was pleasant stay. Only complain was that the pool had too much of moss due to which my kid refused to go to the main pool.
Bab Al Shams is a must see / do if you are in Dubai. If you want an authentic Arabic experience, you will find it here! The resort itself is beautiful and every member of staff we encountered were beyond accommodating. Sabri and Salah especially at Al Hadheerah were so friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
Love the place so much. Cant wait to go back again
Ive been in different places here in UAE. I rated it 3 for couple of reasons.I will start first with the good ones.If you are looking for a different get away, this is the place. Its like a paradise in the middle of the dessert. The design and the architecture are magnificent. I love the bathroom in our room! The room also is clean and complete. The staffs are friendly and professional but thinking its a 5 star, am expecting more like what I experienced at Chedi, all smiling and greeting even the one you cross along the road even the one cleaning the rooms.Food wise it is good which is a great factor because some hotels this is the part where they go down. The reason I rated it 3 is because the check in is very late, and aside from that, we waited long time to get our room ready so it makes it lesser time again of our stay. I hope it is more on time and the cue is about long as well which is another add on to the late time to have our room. 2nd, is about the main pool. It is under maintenance, though they call to inform us but its abit late because we already booked and planned for it. I hope there is a prior notice that a maintenance will start on a certain date.Overall it was an okay experience. Am not sure, if my expectations are just to high because of the hotels reputation or its just another effect of the pandemic.Anyways, am thankful about our stay!
The place failed to impress me...breakfast was good, check out done at great speed, although check in had que.
Great place very clean and calm.Extremely nice staff.Excellent breakfast.A lot of options for food (Indian, Lebanese, international cuisine, etc.)
A luxurious hotel in mid of desert, If i could give it one more star, I would have given it 6 stars . Driving on road toward hotel with lantern light on both side , dear (gazelle) and desert birds (quebec and quails) walking between bushes. From first enterance , you see yourself in calm, peaceful, tranquil atmosphereThe service and hospitality at perfection. The friendly approach of staff makes stay super luxurious and comfy. Rooms are set in Emarati traditional comfort style with hand crafted wooden doors and decoration. Really ideal place to scape to for a luxurious comfy authentic desert experience unmatched by any. Enjoy the free camel ride on the dunes of sands and follow dinner in beautiful restaurants of your choice.Stay in cool water of swimming and over looking the sand dunes of desert around you, a feeling that can not be described in words. The hygienic approaches are perfectly in place at every corner of the hotel.
Wonderful if you wanna see heaven go there😊
Everything about this place makes it magicalBut what takes ur experience to a whole new level is the professionalism of the staff!Keep it upHighly recommended for a sweet escape.

This is a very beautiful place, you can make your holiday here pleasant.
Good but not much activity to do in summer
Had a wonderful staycation. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The beautiful views of the desert, the experience was amazing. It was living in a little oasis in the middle of the desert. Though we are in the middle of the desert there were a lot of things to do. The most wonderful experience was with the Falcons, Noora, and Christina. All in all, it was an amazing experience, if I get a chance, I would definitely go back.
Experience traditional Emirati ambience and architecture in the midst of desert. Awesome food and friendly staff.
Away expensive but srounded by many natural views and lackes
Thank you very much for the amazing experience in your hotel. Terrace room with an amazing view of the desert and bar on the rooftop not to miss to see the beautiful sunset. Special thanks to Trisha who is very helpful during our stay. Definitely we will be back on our next travel
Everything is perfect . The room ,the pools and the staff specifically Yacine and Oussama
Calm n relax...dinner n breakfast service is very fast with lots of variety..
We went there for IFTAR in Ramadan 2021, actually it is expensive, but deserve every single dirham. the atmosphere, the ambiance , the food, shisha, and of course the staff are soo great . 100% Ramadan ambience. it is my favorite place to have iftar, and lucky me the weather wasnt hot yet and we really enjoyed our time to the MAXX. guys please visit it from NOV to MAY you will really enjoyyyyyyyy
Im loving their Iftars this year. So many choices to choose from and since it is outdoors you feel safe. The shisha is a plus! I highly recommend - oh and you can use entertainer as well which makes it very affordable!
The lunch here was great. The pool is nice.
Nice and amazing place.Professional and kind staff
Lovely desert hotel, a stone throw from Dubai, very warm and welcoming in all areas. The rooms are super cozy and traditional Arabic (I think), as is the rooftop restaurant and lovely Indian restaurant onsite. The pool is substantial, multi level and huge kids pool. Only downside is in the morning every bed is taken by towels but there is no one there. Staff are unwilling to remove towels and I get it, so be prepared to do it yourself.Archery on-site was great fun for any age. Camel riding also great fun which is done at the equestrian centre next door.Great visit and would definitely return.
Always the best! Always want to come back here!
Amazing place, however some staff are not so professional.. Overall great :)
Bab Al Shams is the perfect, convenient getaway from Dubai. You truly feel like you’re away from the bustling city in a peaceful environment. The pool is incredible, definitely the biggest selling feature. Rooms were nice too. Food, on the other hand, was a miss. Masala was actually quite good, but avoid Al Forsan. Sirloin steak was grey in colour (despite not being overcooked), it clearly tasted like it had gone bad. The next morning, the shakshouka was more like dry red scrambled eggs than anything (despite the waiter’s insistence that this was indeed shakshouka and implying I was wrong). Service was always positive, which I commend, but the food needs serious improvement.
My favorite hotel in Dubai. Great hospitality, atmosphere and just always a pleasure to be there
Nothing can hide how small and inappropriately described our room was - an outrage for the price. The very hard-working staff couldnt change the fact that the stay had to be terminated early. It is absurd to give wrong square meters on the homepage. This is more for package tourists than a five star resort.
I had the floating breakfast experience.. the service .. the place .. everything was just lovely
We went for a day trip with my 3 year old, Great place for kids as there was baloons, magician pony and camel riding and an arts tent for colouring. It was an open picnic with mats and cushions provided, there was a beautiful picnic hamper with breads and snacks included along with an open buffet. I loved it for my son. The food was not too impressive and when I went to the buffet stations the pots of sauces for the burgers we’re covered in dead flies and the food was left open with nothing to cover so I couldn’t eat the buffet food. Also the magician should be mindful of the young audience and use appropriate language even though he was funny, we don’t want little ones picking up naughty words! Thanks
Reservations team is extra dedicated to make the stay truly enjoyable and luxurious! Staff are commendable. An oasis in the desert and lovely arabian experience
Very typical place. Service is at the top. Restaurants are good and not overpriced. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Pool and other facilities are nice even if in January in Dubai it is still a bit cold 😃 .Friendly and attentive staff. Gorgeous view from the pool area. The room was spacious and we enjoyed every minute of our visit. The food on the roof top bar was okay but nothing to write home about though at that price level. If you want to feel relaxed you should bring. We will definitely go.
Potters guild gave me a new and exciting experience and I really enjoyed doing it.
Very bad experience the buffet for iftar has no options for salad and sweets and the main dishes was ok not waw we were 8 and all of them has the same complain
One of my favourite places in dubaiAmazing relaxing
Beautiful place, nice and cleanFood options could be improved
Horrible service 😓 waiting for the room 1 hour to be ready, waiting for the drink at the pool 30 mins, I have to find myself a waiter to come and been served and they keep asking if I wanted the 40 usd buffet that I keep insisting I didn’t want to because I was in a diet... all the food and drinks are very expensive and no where else to go. The activities as well that you end doing because it’s no much to do. Basically you pay 400 usd for a room and an extra 400 usd in food and one activity a day.It doesn’t worth the money and you end leaving very upset and frustrated.
The resort is worn out , tiles in the pool are a peeling off , the vibe is very family friendly and the service is at a good standard , it does give you a bit of the desert feel , highly recommend doing the activities highly enjoyed archery , dont worry if its your first time!
Al Iftar in al hazeerah was amazing, the food , the ambiance, and the waiters are very lovely kind and heloer specially Anto He fulfills the request quickly and happily.. thank you for everything
Was a cool place, feels more natural around there, fire flames for lighting at night.
Classy and modern resort in the desert not far from Dubai. A perfect staycation destination for couples and families. There was Festive market, lighting of Christmas tree and Santa during our visit and that made it very memorable. There are other activities too, such as camel riding. Food and service are excellent. Highly recommended.
Luxry hotel,very arabic,very impressive
Been many times for staying and was lovely. Iftar in hadheerah is just super. The atmosphere and the food makes you feel to leave in a fairytale. Special thanks to the staff and in particular mr. Saleh for his kindness and attention to us.
Best Place you can get your Diesel Power Generators
Beautiful place! I loved the silence and serenity of the resort. The people and service was brilliant. Me and our wife were celebrating the part of our honeymoon stay at the property and they made it special for us.Highly recommend them!
A green and peaceful hotel in the middle of desert.
Good place and if you want to see the sun set then should go to Al Shaba roof lounge....good place to sit eat and drink...
We stayed there for two days, and everything was incredible, location, room and facilities. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they ran to us whenever they saw us with our baby and stroller and helped with moving the stroller up and down the stairs. The reception staff Mr. Yahia did an amazing job orienting us when we first arrived and provided a lot of support and help throughout our stay there. The swimming pool staff also are very kind and friendly, especially the well-shaped Mr. at the towel station, Yasine, and Rahjesh.
Good Ambience.. Calm and quiet..Their International restaurant Al Forsen is below average..we had lunch there and never had such poor quality food in Dubai.
A great staycation for locals and visitors, has all the facilities in a five star setting! Very chilled out atmosphere and is looking greener than ever! Lots of activities, dining options, views, places for drinks and most famously has the great desert sunset views. Highly recommend
Good place to hang out and just chill. Can do much better with the quality of food and the options on the menu.
