Fruits, Vegetables and Fish are with the biggest area and assortment, while meat, poultry,spices and other dry goods are in smaller area. Timings are almost 24/7 and the feeling you have is to buy products that retailers will source from here and offer in their own shops. Any type of customer is served but best prices are when you get some quantity. Everything is mostly seasonal and many fruits or vegetables are imported from the surrounding areas and nations, keeping this marke environmentally friendly (transportation from close places is what I mean).Very clean, always buzzing with people and helpers, with its own parking and some non food shops. You may even eat something in the few restaurants and cafeterias, but the offering is limited.One notice: you go there to buy your food and it is not a place for some ”random shopping like a mall, so prepare your list and be open to some extra.Groceries and packaged products are available at the Lulu supermarket on the second floor.

Second time in this place. We love everything there, the variety is great. You got all kinds of fish, fruits and vegetables and dry goods. Such a cool experience to pick your own fish, have it cleaned up, seasoned and grilled and served. Only reason I deduct a start is cuz the people working there are always trying to hustle you if you don’t know the prices. So whatever price they tell you, deduct at least 30-40% and pay only that. This can be annoying for people who are uncomfortable at haggling.

Its a pretty good place for a fresh catch. While you can get the same in hypermarkets and even supermarkets certain types of meat is easily available here. I wouldnt say theres a huge price difference and the fact that you have to pay extra for cleaning makes the process even more hard to convince a person to buy from here. You got to be careful while you buy and need to know how to take a fresh fish which most of them would help you with. You can also bargain on the price and thats a huge selling point for me since in all the other sources you cannot bargain like this.

The place is so lively even at 2am night. The place is free to visit, we spent over 2 hours there just for roaming around, watching and recording.😊 interesting place to feel the local market pulse of the city. Remember, to wear slippers as shoes might get wet if not careful. Also our dresses were smelly the next day, eventhough they didnt come in direct contact with any seafood, probably from the air. It might be cold inside but wear anything that you can wash and dry easily. The area is clean, though the floor is wet from melting ice etc.Saw many unusual varieties of seafood, some which i havent seen or eaten before. There were giant Sharks, lobsters and crabs. My son was too curious and the staffs were very friendly, allowing us to hold lobsters, crabs etc. and to pose for pictures.There were counters with big Ostrich and Emu eggs, eggs with 2 yolks, and such also.

There is a special paid stalls available other side for cutting fishes with token system. Fruits and veg seems to be little expensive than supermarkets. Spacious parking available. Trolleys are available in underground parking. Lulu supermarket available in the same building.

Fresh produce. Both local and imported food stuff. So much colours and varieties it is a great experience. You will get almost everything in Fruits, Vegetables, Seafood, Meats and Dry food stuff. Prices are much better and all the shopkeepers we interact with were helpful.

The best place for all your shopping needs. The waterfront market has separate departments for seafood, poultry and meat, fruits and vegetables and also a Lulu hypermarket. There are other small shops inside the waterfront market. The seafood department offers acces to multiple vendors and you can find everything here. You also get to bargain the rates in all the three main departments. There is also a fish cleaning section to clean the fishes that you buy for a very small charge. Please note that the fish market will be closed from 2 pm to 4 pm for deep cleaning. Stay safe and wear a mask 😊

It was a good experience! youd have to stroll around the market and choose whatever seafood you wish to have, be sure to have good negotiation skills..it was disappointing when weve purchased muscles and they were expired so be sure to be careful. the only downfall was how they call out people.after purchasing from the market, you could go over to the restaurants that are out and get them cooked with different rates and theyre good value.great place to experience with friends and family.

All these five star reviews from local guides. What a shock.This place is a ripoff. First, when you arrive, you will be beset upon by cart pushers who insist on helping you. They will then lead you to specific vendors (who I assume pay the cart pushers to bring in customers) where they will immediately high pressure you into buying whatever their product is. We purchased a kilo of mussels, two crabs, eight scallops, and four prawns. The bill was equivalent to $138. No prices posted. The cart pusher then lead us to the Yahya restaurant where they cooked our seafood for a reasonable price, and they cooked it very well. It was excellently prepared. I cannot complain about the quality of the seafood as it was excellent. The cart pusher waited for us to eat, which took over an hour, and then took us to a specific fruit and vegetable vendor. Again, no posted prices and high pressure sales. We purchased some fruit and veggies, which were average in quality, paid the exorbitant bill, and headed to a taxi, at which time the cart pusher demanded 150 AED (about $43) for pushing the cart around! I paid him just to get out of this nightmare of a market.If you go, avoid the cart pushers. They are totally unnecessary. Negotiate with multiple vendors for the best price. Shop with whichever vendor you want to, not who the cart pushers lead you to. The seafood was fresh and good quality, but more expensive than the grocery stores. I doubt we will go back (we are here for a month).

The Waterfront Market is a relatively new addition to the market scene in Dubai; it has only been recently built. Thats not to say that this place was not a market earlier; it was known as the Deira Fish Souq earlier, where people came to buy fresh fish. It has now been renovated with this modern market coming in its stead.The market is not easy to reach using public transport. It has four sections: Dry Goods & Spices, Fish, Meat & Vegetables. The first section was nearly empty; however, the others were much better. These sections were spacious and well-refrigerated. All the items available looked fresh and one could get some good stuff at very good rates.The Waterfront Market also has a nice promenade overlooking the sea and the under-construction Deira Islands. A number of restaurants lie next to the promenade and there are facilities for horse riding too! There is also a Lulu Hypermarket here. One should not miss the nice fish themed mural at the markets entrance lobby.

Average place. Whether you get fresh stuff depends on the time of day you visit, your luck and the ability to identify the good from bad. We bought fish which turned out stale and the mutton had awful taste! Veggies and fruits were no good either! Will try to visit again to see if it was an exception and sheer bad luck the first time around!
