Enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends at Salero - Tapas & Bodega 16 September 2021. Overall dining experience was undoubtedly 5 star. The service was very good, the food was well presented and well cooked. There was entertainment by way of Spanish guitarist and flamenco dancer. I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Salero is adjacent to the Kempinski and the Mall of the Emirates and the only draw back was that I had to wait 35 minutes for the Valet parking at the Kempinski entrance to finally bring me my car.
We visited the Spanish restaurant Salero Tapas & Bodega located on the ground floor of Kempinski Mall of the Emirates for the Fiesta Brunch that happens every Friday. It is a relaxed set menu brunch where everything is served to the table. The brunch menu included cold and hot tapas, carving, paella and desserts. There are 3 packages and live music. The food was excellent, the venue is gorgeous and the service was impeccable. Salero is certainly worth visiting.
Went three for an office lunch and loved the warm decor. The wine display wall gave the place a whole different feel. The service was good and food was good as well. We ordered for seafood paella and a few starters - octopus, feta salad. Everything tasted good. The bar area was super nice and I would love to sit there during my next visit.
Beautiful decor, delicious food, intimate atmosphere. A really lovely place to take in a meal while feeling like youre in a rustic, old-country bistro. The slightly tucked away entry gives the feeling that the whole experience is meant just for you. Date night here will certainly impress! Would love to go back and try out the great looking wine list!
Food was amazing, every single dish we have ordered was so tasty, grilled octopus is a must-try! Service was courteous, fast and very proffessional. With flamenco guitar and dance, it was one of our best restaurant experiences in Dubai - highly recommended.
What a great place we stumbled upon! The service at Salerno was impeccable right from the moment we entered. It was lovely to speak Spanish to a fantastic waiter, Alejandro and he was extremelly helpful and welcoming. The menu is fantastic if you love authentic Spanish food-all the classics and more. The croquetas were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Sangria was on point. The main courses were so delicious. We had lamb chops and beef tenderloin-cooked to perfection! The meat was tender and so good.
Excellent selections of drinks and dishes, well balanced ambience, with excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend it for a relaxed quick bite and drinks. Good music and very welcoming staff and service.
The place is nice and the food is tasty, but please note that paella isn’t included in entertainer deal. Tapas are considered as main course, but not paella. Also entertainer drinks deal is only valid on house wine. None of these details are specified on entertainer so it’s very misleading and unfortunately we ended up paying full price for everything. We left with an unpleasant feeling. All this misleading information needs to be corrected in partnership with entertainer to ensure that your clients are happy overall.
The welcoming of the staff was amazing. Maria was so lovely and her colleagues as well. Our waiter was so nice and pleasant, was his name Fransisco? They made our quick and simple anniversary celebration great and even surprised us with a cake. The food was good and freshly prepared. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely.
We went for dinner last night and I can say hands down one of the best nights ever in dubai. From seevice to food everything was excellent. Hannah and Maria were super and made us feel welcomed and when you see someone happy doing their job it means the place is filled with positive energy. We ordered the padron peppers, pulpo with potato, mushrooms, chicken croquettes, and few other tapas. Every dish tasted amazing. But what will make us come back again with more friends is the super over the top customer service because we felt we were at home. Seriously thank you Hannah and Maria for making our night great and special.
Absolutely amazing food! Some of the best tapas and overall Spanish food Ive had in a while. A must go but it is kind of pricey. Try to get a set menu if you have a party as that really is worth it. You have to have the paella as its there signature and try the lamb chops as they just melt in your mouth. Good service but the rating is purely based on food which was as I said outstanding on the night. Waiters are friendly and always available but they can be delayed even on a slowish night.
Delicous food and flamenco dancer. Superb service.Price level specially for wine is too high. But will go again. 💯
Absolutely fantastic place, excellent service and professional staff members, delicious food, great enjoyable ambiance. must must must visit
Amazing Spanish restaurant in Kempinski Hotel, this place has been there for a while and I cannot believe that it took me so long to get here.Probably the best Paella I have ever had, they were even showing the live Euro 2020 match and the place was buzzing with people.I will surely be going back, and recently they have started serving Brunch as well so I would love to try that with my friends.
Had a great evening with friends. Generous portions and friendly staff, and the live Spanish songs and flamingo dancer were simply a joy to watch.
A bottle of water is almost more expensive than a main course!!!! How did you make the prices? Do you think a little bitte? Do not need to be a genius to this is too much! 45 aed for a bottle of water is to call the police!I do prefer pay a main course double price than a bottle of water 45 aed! I will not come anymore!
The best place to have spanish food, me and my family were thrilled with their service, food quality and they were courteous. Sea food Paella is mouth watering along with batata pravas, fried calamari etc etc, but trust me you will enjoy the ambience, food and courteous staff⭐🤘👏👌✌👍
The food and service is excellent so is the atmosphere , fun place to go to anytime of the week.
Super arrogant staff as if serve food for free. Super upset with all the logistics which prevent food or atmosphere enjoyment. Not recommended and I will never visit again.
Salero never disappoints with Falmenco performance and a pitcher of Sangria with paella, go-to place incase u needa respite from the hustle of the week to think of a splendid Spanish holiday, which at the moment seems a tad too far!
One of the best restaurante.Food was delicious and the place itself was an amazing also the service was excellent 👌thanks Alejandro
Good service. Decent tapas. Could improve the wine list. Recommended.
A charming little restaurant and a true gastronomic hidden gem set out of sight in the far most corner of Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates. Right from the entrance prepare to be transported to the fiesta-like ambience of a trendy Spanish wine cellar where delicious aromas of olive oil, roasted garlic and herbs are paired with wisely selected wines, soulful conversations and Flamenco (especially on Wednesday nights). All tables are nicely positioned around a central bar with an open kitchen where chefs simmer delicacies on a gas stove. Up on the ceiling large wicker baskets replace ordinary lamps adding cosy warm lighting. The pops of red here and there are gingham napkins which add to the Mediterranean allure and an abstract wall mural echoing cubism screams Picasso. While I slowly studied the menu the band walked in, immediately stealing all the attention with the never fading lyrics of “Bamboleo”. We couldn’t help but sang along: “Porque mi vida yo la prefiero vivir así”. Francesco, who looked after our table, suggested we start with a selection of tapas (small savoury dishes) and end the feast with a seafood paella prepared on the stove. I insisted that jamón was a must try as it’s mission impossible to find fine pork in Dubai (spoiler: it was the best jamón I had in a while). Francesco advised that a pitcher of fruity red Sangria would be a perfect pairing to the food we ordered. Our feast started with a dish of traditional Spanish bread “Pan Basico”, fragrant roasted garlic, “pa amb tomaquet” (soft plum tomatoes), sea salt and olive oil. I rubbed a clove and a tomato all over my toasted slice of bread, sprinkled some salt and olive oil and only paused eating when a board of “Jamón de pata negra” aged 36 months landed on the table (AED 195). The selection of tapas, which arrived next, was extraordinary tasty: “Pimientos de Padron” (small green peppers AED 49), “Croquetas de polo y croquetas de setas” (chicken and mushroom croquets AED 49) and absolutely magical “Gambas al ajillo” (shrimps simmered in olive oil with garlic and chilies AED 69).While I dipped the remaining pieces of bread in deliciously tangy sauce, Maria the gorgeous Flamenco dancer, walked on the stage. She moved so powerfully and gracefully that all eyes were drawn to her including mine.A few minutes later my small seafood paella (AED 215) was served in a rather large pan with lots of simmered shrimps and mussels on the top. Size wise it was enough for four hungry eaters and we ended up packing leftovers for a takeaway. The taste generated by the broth was quite intense at first but would quickly settle into a creamy heaven. I didn’t have any room left for the dessert however churros looked truly irresistible.
Lovely cozy little restaurant with delicious food and great service.
Great food, amazing entertainment, good offers. Proper Spanish atmosphere
Great tapas...good drinks. Very nice staff
Food was nice enough without being spectacular. The problem really is the prices, especially the drinks... 45 AED for a bottle of water and 65 AED for a pint of beer is extortion even by dubai standards and more than you would pay in some of dubais best restaurants. You can get the same quality of food and drink for half the price.
Really grwa food. Try the mushrooms!! Love that they have South American staff, its in keeping with the Spanish theme.
Small conjusted set up. Below average flamenco performance
We went for friday brunch, food was ok but we were expecting maybe more for the price, service was slow.
Very good service from the waitresses. Thanks guys !The tapas is fresh and delicate.Gambas ..highly recommended.
The food is ok, but the place is very boring, there is no atmosphere.
The place is nice, the food is ok (I didnt like the croquetas but gambas al ajillo were very good) and the staff super friendly and attentive
I wasnt impressed by the food not what it used to be 6years ago! And a 500ml water costs 45aed almost the same price as a beer 🤯 Not coming back again!!
#spanishfood#fjplanet (insta)Chefathome (facebook) explores.Como estas amigo?A bright sunny Friday brunch at Salero (literally means Salt Container to sprinkle).A very warm welcoming over the top trained and well etiquettes equipped team dedicated to serve you in the shelter of renowned hotel chain Kempinski HotelsA wide range of Spanish creations are waiting for you to drown over. From tapas to carving and then paellas to dessert. There are many items to talk about since it was a brunch with table service but will keep it limited to what I enjoyed the most due text length limit.Tapas or starter or appetiser or would say small portion of food to begin your meal.I really enjoyed cold and hot both tapas; among the colder ones Tortilla De Patata - Omelette & Pardon Peppers were peng on peng due to its very rich content and traditional Spanish cooking style, highly satisfying for the ones looking for some spicy start.Among hot ones; Gambas Al Ajillo - sautéed Shrimps with Garlic & Chili is the queen of all seafood I have ever had outside, the shrimp stock sauce coupled with mentioned ingredients and spices is my piece of shrimps 🍤 .Carving, Pierna De Cordero - marinated Lamb leg with Potatoes & roasted Vegetables, well I dont prefer lamb but just to explain the square cut piece was so well cooked that you can literally shred it into multiples easily by a fork. Not a fan of lamb so apologies here.Paellas, originated in Valencia, a combination of Bomba Rice (founding ingredient of Paellas & it goes without saying), cooked in Saffron served with chicken or seafood, I tried both but would prefer sea one, as for the first time I was introduced to Mussels and it tastes incredibly divine.Dessert well both Chocolate Con Churros & Crema Catalana are the winners among all above mentioned items but I have a special place for Crema Catalana as it comes with a burnt layerd glassine surface atop that is so fine and subtle, absolutely gorgeous 😍 infused with lemon and vanilla combination.Spanish food comes with variety of options and it has a great touch of the artistic translation of regular food with cuisines coined as tapas and Crema Catalana. A big fan here.Salero is 9.5 out of 10.
Served what appeared to be frozen prawns and beer at a ridiculous 65 dirham a pint!
Ive been here several times before but this time they certainly let me down.To begin with, the bread basket was immediately served but it was cold so we had to ask for a fresh one. Pork dishes, Chorizo and Lome ibérico (cured loin) that we ordered were both way overpriced and horrible, in fact the chorizo looked and tasted not fresh at all (discoloured) and we had to send it back.Octopus is one of my favourites here which is always cooked to perfection and quite tender, however this time they sprinkled a tad too much rock salt that spoilt the dish completely. Our main course the seafood paella was nothing but bland. The coffee cake was somewhat on the dry side (stale?) and the café latte was served perfectly lukewarm.Based on my previous dining experiences at Salero I had invited my friend this time and I felt utterly sorry at the end of the evening. Be warned their food can clearly be hit-and-miss. We ended up leaving most of the food hardly touched and just focused on drinking. Our bill for two came out Dh1300.The friendly staff and the service were both good and I like their atmosphere so I would go back again but decidedly not for dining.
Very good place, good spanish food.
Salero at Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates:Went for a business dinner later evening (Wednesday) at this hotel restaurant, not knowing it offers a Spanish cuisine, which I love esp the pa-e-ya (the authentic pronunciation).Going out in the coronavirus era is not easy, with temp check at the hotel entrance and the restaurant. The entrance to the restaurant is not marked so one is directed by a guy in the lobby as go to the left but there you see the Spa, then the spa lady says right there pointing to the wall abutting the Spa.Finally I get inside, a bit too dark, square baskets hanging from the ceiling all over. I get seated, no menu: a small card to be scanned, but my phone cant scan. My host got the paper menu which lists the items in Spanish with barely any English description!!! Luckily our mâitre was very friendly, brought us (after quite some yime) the bread basket which has very over-roasted garlic (less than half in thickness), along a bland salsa, a thick slice across the top of a tomato and olive oil, a combo very unusual. He helped us navigate the menu and everything he suggested, we chose: the caramelized goat cheese salad (literally out of this world), the octopus tapa (singular of tapas since theyre offered singly) which has broadly sliced two 6-7 cm pieces of the octopus legs over mashed potato (very delicious) and of course the Lobster Pa-e-ya.The lobsters (2) seemed whole and big but the tail meat was tinier than expected (pictured), somehow very tender (almost spreadable) and not chewy, but delicious. One drawback was that its vein was not cleaned, and I knew it was not the chef who prepared it, the mâitre apologized about it and said the chef was off.Comes the dessert, as suggested we had the cream Catalana (made with cinnamon, totally different from the famous creme brûlée) and the icecream. A star nowhere else tasted/offered: 3 rather small choc orange (2) and almond (1) flavors, but heavenly.Except for the few missed things, it was a memorable dinner. The salla was packed by the time I left (9:30).
Very poor attitude coming from the waiter. The place is always humid: AC never works. Food is okay.
Best place to enjoy tapas in Dubai!!
Nice restaurant. Good food and service. It finished Pata Negra jamón de Jabugo. Expensive!
Visiting Salero for the last 6 years and every time is the great ambience, amazing service and delicious food!
Everything in this place is FANTASTIC!! from customer service to food absolutely loved it. Definitely well go back again!!
Food & drinks was amazing.
Chilled vibes and great food. Must have the paella
Great place with great food and fantastic staff/service!Well done guys
Food was disappointing and menu limited, but this was due to the restrictions imposed by Covid in the kitchens... Staff were very helpful and tried to compensate....
Had amazing lamb chops. Very professional and friendly staff particularly Paula... Best Chef ever!
Authentic Spanish Food along to the nicest customer service and cozy place in Dubai..
Delicious food good service and lovely decor
From the moment I entered and informed the hostess about my reservation I was warmly welcomed and escorted to my table. We decided that we wanted to move and without hesitation this was done almost instantaneously by the manager. Once we had moved tables and throughout the rest of the evening, we were served by a fantastic waitress, Maria from Colombia. She was like our very own form of entertainment. She was engaging, she was witty and just made us feel welcome and because of her genuine warm personality, I will be returning!
Out of all of the places and restaurants that I have had the pleasure of visiting in the world, this place has been by far my favourite! The food was simply delicious, the seafood paella was amazing! And the service was the BEST that I have ever experienced. The combination of food being lovingly prepared right in front of you, by some of the most passionate chefs Ive ever had the pleasure of witnessing, combined with the most beautiful and friendly service from Hannah, Ainoha, Melissa, and Glenys, made for a home away from home feeling... only better, and then some! Would highly recommend for anyone to visit! Sad to leave... Will be back again ASAP!
I would give 3,5 stars but since 3 doesnt make justice I would rather give 4. The place its ok, perfect for some food and a drinks after shopping at the mall. Food can be improved but overall its not a bad place at all.
Food is tasty, staff is friendly and helpful, I would like to recommend this place 👌
A hidden treasure! Enjoyable Spanish food and beer! The flamenco band is astonishing. Extremely nice service with the Colombian staff there, though the manager is Spanish of course! Acceptable price with high quality. Recommended for couples.
This place was amazing! Live authentic style band, food cooked fresh and in front of you. Food smelled amazing as soon as you walk in the door. The cocktails were different but good. Set up ideal for large groups or an intimate situation. Its tucked off in a corner so dont over look it.
Such a fabulous restaurant. Amazing attentive staff, delicious food and a wonderfully comfortable, relaxed environment with great entertainment. Would definitely recommend.
Nice paella , good atmosphere and service
Staff is super nice and its probably the biggest strength of the place. Food is really good but REALLY really overpriced. Its basically the typical mini tapas size but more expensive than a traditional main so something not really logical here. And the guitarist is nice and talented but seriously too loud!I am not going there for a concert but to enjoy a nice appetizer time. We left without ordering more because of the sound we couldnt enjoy a date by properly hearing each other.
Tapas and paella to die for....washed down with a few jugs of sangria
Great food!

Very nice place and staff!!! Food is really Spanish!!! And very good!!! Really you should go!
I really like this place and the food is probably one of the best Spanish food in Dubai. Also the Flamenco night was quite good with the live performance. Only thing to improve is the group menu. Nobody told me I had to pay in advance and the set menu is a bit restrictive and not in good quantity.
