AVOID THIS STORE 1 MILLION PERCENTCROOKS! SCAMMERS!My Worst Experience: ( I have proof! Of the invoice , pics and short video)I bought 24.20 gram total -choker with chain and a necklace - both 21k gold. As of january 26 2021, the going rate was 201.5 dirham per gram and exhange rate for $1 was 3.6 dhs They sold to me for 6,935.01 dhsBreak down ( without VAT charge)24.20 gram= worth 4,786.30 dhs which is also equivalent to $ 1,329.53They sold to me for 6604.77 dhs which is equivalent to $1,834.66A difference of 1818.47 dhs equivalent to $505.13 ( 27.53 % of the total price exluding vat)Normally the difference they claim to be a margin for the craft designnof the jewellery.Since this was my first time buying , they ripped me off as everyone i know who knows about gold told me that the difference is huge for the jewellery that i bought from AL ROMAIZAN (usually its craftmanship at the lowest 0%- 10% max is the range for the jewelry that i bought)On top of that, they gave me a wrong chain for the choker.CAUTION:Do not let any jewellery sales people give you the price off the calculator, let the sales person weigh the gold jewellery you want , convert the grams into dirhams as per government pricing on that day ( they usually display it in their store or ask) and then add how much percentage or rather amount that you think its fair for the jewellery craftmanship. Again do not let them tell you about taxes or even worse let them control the negotation. After you agree on the price, they can calculate total price by adding the taxes from it . By the way, tax is refundable 85% in UAE for a tourist at the airport after you check in, make sure they give you the certificate/tax invoice as a supporting document for refund eligibilityWith regards to my experience, they negotiated with me at a price of 6604.77.01 dhs including craftmanship and taxes. After i agreed , they make another person take over for billing. The billing guy took his time to the point that i was getting fed up ( they know exactly what they are doing to play customers mind) and he issued the bill to me at 6935.01 dhs, and therefore I ended up paying taxes again. I dont know how i got this dumb, seriously I feel stupid for days. I was definitely confused when the sales guy was running the numbers from his calculator. By the way, whenever we negotiated the the price of the jewellery, they start pressing those buttons from the calculator very hard and fast that makes you feel like its a complicated mathematical computation. It is very annoying. Also when they negotiate the price with you , they include tax amount, but when you counter offer your revised price, they re-run your offer without tax amount, they then add tax and they go like that until you go bananas to figure out if you are on the same page with him. Very annoying techniques. And if you are tourist and dont speak arabic or hindi ,simply speak in english and be firm on your pricing and craftmanship amount that you want to add. Most importantly tell them tax rate is firm and will add after you both agree on the final price.They can speak enuf good emglish to sell their stuff. When they wana rip you off, they will pretend not to understand english that much. I wanted to leave that place so bad because it was already a headache for me to get over it. I put my emotions first before my brain work because it was a gift for my spouse and my daughter. They manipulated my mind so bad. They crooked me but I have definitely learned my lesson and I promised to review this place because they took advantage from me but they will loose many customers that read the reviews. I seriously felt the pain after realizing how stupid i was and could have gotten something better on what i paid somewhere else (may be just a next door)I published the photo of the tax invoice as a proof unless they remove it (i am not sure if they can ). As a first time tourist in Dubai wanted to exchange my gold for 21k gold , had to exchange my 14k gold and which was 24g for money and buy as said by them a pair or earrings and a bracelet 21k gold they said ...got a good price but those 2 were only worth 2500aed because it was only 18k gold and I paid 2740aed . They are fraudsters ... very sad situation.

I bought a gold 21k gold set from Romaizan They do al that fake negotiation to make you forget how much they rip you off. I paid for the set 7.5 k $... i it was unwearable because the locks on the necklace, bracelet and even earrings are very poorly done. I came back to him with the set and he said he pays me 5k cash ( remember... I paid 7.5k) and he would also sell me another set for 9k. The new set was worth 7k and 2k were for manufacturing and design. Imagine the shock when I found out how stupid I was the first time when I bought from him. They are thieves. I don’t recommend to anyone this store. There are other stores in the Gold Souk that get 0% for design. I recommend you to make some pics in front of the store and buy gold from someone that doesn’t rip you off.

I was at the gold souk with my family. We entered many shops, and one of the biggest shops there was AL ROMAIZAN. These guys sold us a gold 21 carat necklace for 260 dirham for one gram, in fact the real price was 160 dirham for one gram of 21 carat gold. I realized this one day after we bought. We went back and we had the receipt with us. I told the guy that he ripped me off and i wanted my money back. He owed me 400 euros. I told him to give me my money back becouse he scammed me or else i will call the cops. He told me to go for it becouse others have tried calling the cops and nothing has happened to them. Of course this was a bluff. I went to a cop nearby and he knew the guys already and told me there is nothing to be done and that he could not help me with this matter. When the jeweller was talking to this cop in arabic i started taking a video of them. When the jeweller realized i was filming he went nuts, he started yelling about me deleting the video becouse its illegal and he would sue me and on and on... I told him i want my money back and only then i would delete the video. He was furious.. Then some other cops came becouse the first cop called them. I waited for 30 minutes and one of the cops that arrived spoke good english and was a good respected man. He called the owner of the shop and had a 10-15 minutes argue with him. He also told me to delete the video i made becouse it was illegal and i trusted him and deleted the video. After some debate between the cop and the owner, he agreed to give me 200 euros back. I did not have the time to pursue this matter until the end to a court becouse the cop told me if you dont agree to 200 euros you have to go and solve this but it will take some time and if the jeweler is found guily he will recive a fine and you will get all your money back. So i settled for 200 euros. Long story short DONT BUY AT THESE GUYS ! If you already bought, you most likely got scammed. Look online for the gold price in dubai and check with the recipt. DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL THE POLICE ON THESE GUYS. They fear the police, as they should.

I paid way more than the market, I was a tourist in Dubai and very short time to shop and compare the prices around, however when I get home I realize I paid over 51 usd per gram for 21 K .

FRAUDSTERS, the shop is manipulating prices, as well as the prices of gold daily, claiming that prices vary by minute, I do not recommend dealing with them at all

I had a very disappointing experience with the sale person. He was very rude. Whilst trying to exchange the gold and while enquiring about the gold and prices and making charges he had very rude replying saying what is this? You guys are taking hours for one bangle. Be quick. This made me shocked and I told him we aint doing grocery shopping and this is not the way to speak to a customer.. And after the argument he told us to leave the shop saying Get lost. I thought of calling the police but I couldnt as I had my mom who is old and hypertension patient.
