Superb food , I would surely recommend the payoli chicken dry fry and kanthari chicken grilled. Those where just awesome .You will get the pure coconut oil flavour in all their food .quality food made out of quality ingredients.Just loved the food out here, must try for all mallus out there .

Went Lulu for a shopping and found out this Restaurant at 1st floor. Tried some of the dishes from their Post-corona updated menu.OMG, To be frank Payyoli Chicken & Prawns mariyumma both stole my heart. The most authentic , amazingly delicious or you can say divine foul. The Original taste of Kerala. The one and only mighty Porotta & Beef in a style. They call it kizhi Porotta. Love it 😍 May be just this dish going to make me a frequent visitor here in this Restaurant. The restaurant situated on the first floor of Al Qusais lulu hypermarket. You can experience south indian foods mostly kerala foods over there. The location is very convenient for the once who are doing shopping at lulu. Food and the service are good, there is one party hall also available for small functions.

Their food is great but need to up the cleanliness. Noted cockroach moving on the table and an used toothpick in another table. Please don’t pull the poor cleaner; pull the person in charge of the restaurant; that freshness and warmth is missing everywhere from waiters itself.

Decent restaurant for kerala malabar dishes. Had king fish tawa fry and beef varattiyath with appam. Tawa fry was the winner, fresh spicy and flavourful with slivers of coconut. Beef was fairly good but lacked that ultimate punch. Appam was crispy and soft. Missed any kind of salad which would have been great. Ended with a nice cup of tea. Nice and spacious seating

On 31st of Aug 2020, I have gone to this restaurant in al quais with my 3 other friends. I choose this restaurant by checking the Google reviews but the real world scenario was such a worst.We have paid 35dh/person for the Onam sadhiya, but the dishes were not up to that money. We have noticed the issues to the staff but the response were too outrageous.With my experience, I will not suggest this restaurant.

For a change from last two year onam sadhya i went to calicut note book near stadium metro staton. May be you people only called that as sadhya what you served. Very cheap quality and taste, Kodukkunna food nu vangunna paisakkum enthenkilum oru respect enkilum kanichirunnekil kollamayirunnu. I m a regular customer their monthly at-least 4 or 5 times having food from their for that no accusation , but its feel very bad.Please note Next year for onam sadhya please provide a lens or customer can bring a lens to find payasam otherwise they cant find your payasam cup, we dont feel anything special on your Onam sadhya from your normal meals that u just add few dishes. Hope its my last visit n thats for a wonderful Onam sadhya.

Tried their chicken biriyani. Typical malabar biryani, but it was lacking that flavor of biriyani as well as chicken pieces were small.Biriyani was served with pickle, pappadam, yogurt and payasam.

First up want to thank Mr Sateesh, MD, Calicut. I called a number from the site and didnt know it was the MD number. I was desparate to eat Onam Sadhya and was trying all out to order a takeaway. Unfortunately all was sold out and then I called Mr Sateesh from Calicut not knowing he was the MD. I told him about my desparate search and how was unsuccessful. He told me to wait and that he will call back. And to my surprise he called back after 2 hours and said that on the 2nd Sept he will make arrangement for me as well and that I can come and pick up the Sadhya. This was on 31st. He followed up with a call on 1st and said all will be ready and I picked up the same.The food was amazing and fulfilling. I enjoyed a great Onam Sadhya with my family after a very long time. Always missed it due to work engagements and travel but not this time thanks to Mr Sateesh. The Sadhya had 24 different varieties and amazing taste.Thanks again Mr Sateesh for this personal touch it shows that how committed you and your team is and this is the reason of your success. Very poor ambience and hospitality. No comfort even in the seating. We were planning to have biriyani. After checking at the counter it was confirmed it was available, they told us to wait for the seat for around 15 minutes. Went for lunch there. The food was really good. Ordered chicken dum biryani and it was really tasty. And normal rice platter with curries and their ayala polichathu was really good. But found the cost of mutton biryani little expensive as it was more than AED 20. Would recommend the place. The staff and the service was also great inspite of the busy hours of friday where poeple were kept waiting to catch a seat.

I have the worest experience to get coffee. I have asked for two coffee with milk, I received two small glass cups filled to two third only with something like 3 in 1 taste in addition surprised with dirt stiky cups. When talking to the waiter, he said it is just coffee powder dirt then called another guy and said the same. I found I am talking different language here of cleaness and quality . Finally third guy came and asked them to change one cup.Really after this experience I will never go there 😪 if something simple like coffee and made and presented in lower than the lowest quality then what about the food.

Ordered beef, porotta and soup. Beef not up to the mark, porotta is not fresh, quantity is less, price also high. I am giving 3 stars because of the ambience.

This is by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in my entire life. Not only do the waiters lie about prices and serving sizes, but also the ‘food’ that they serve is definitely not as advertised. I can’t speak for the whole menu but, the shrimps (which are nearly 8.5 AED per piece) are literally the quality that you’d find if you left a fishing net to primarily catch 2.5 micrometer prawns which are 80% shell. They are definitely not the ‘Tiger Shrimp’ that they advertise to be, I wouldn’t even consider them to be kitten shrimp upon further inspection. The entire place is a joke and I hope all 200g of food that I ordered, which they charged one hundred and thirty bloody dirhams for, wasn’t completely diseased considering me and my two friends nearly vomited a mere 15 nanoseconds after digesting it. If you ever plan on going here, I’d suggest just buying the 1.5L bottle of water as it’s probably the only reasonably priced commodity these buffoons sell. This is where you’d go if you really just wanted to make your other poor decisions feel intelligent in comparison, it’s the only part of it that I felt inclined to be monetized as their food definitely shouldn’t be.

I have order food from this resturant through Zomato, instead of 4 fish they have sent 2 fish. I called resturant and told I have got 2 fish where as I have paid for 4 fish. Resturant people told me share pics through what’s up, post sharing the pics. They identified 2 fishes are missing they blocked me on what’s up (attached photo) and later when I called they told me talk to resturant manager and they did not share mangers number. They are Cheaters and fraud. I have filed a complaint with Zomato and do not order food from here. It’s not about money it’s about service, you lost a customer today permanently and I will take it further on other social media as well.

And they charged 25 dhs for each biriyani. And when we complained to the counter staff, he wasn’t even ready to respond.

The food is good but was shocked to see that on a taken away order they forgot to add the bread included in the order. On calling them they were apologitic however had no option to deliver the bread till midnight.

Went here for Iftar get-together with family and friends. Loved the Iftar special snacks, remarkably tasty food and good hospitality. There were complimentary fruits platter with dates and drinks served on each table. All the snacks would be set on table as per our choice. The main course can be ordered prior to Iftar or later. Will definitely go back here!

We ordered porotta and chicken perattu. Porotta was hard. Also ordered fish fillet tawa grilled. For that I give a 5 star. We mainly go to Calicut notebook for having this dish. Best tawa grill I ever had.

Ordered a pepper chicken masala for a dine in for two. Once I received the bill, I realized that the the dish was a full plate and not half plate. After placing an order for soup, starter and the main course, should I go for a full plate curry. Hence train your staff to ask whether a half or full plate is required for the customer so that there are no surprises.

Very good food and great service. The food and service deserve high prices but it is street food cheap. Nice setting and seating. We did get 1 piece of undercooked chicken. Its nice restaurant with South Indian dishes. We ordered 1 Biriyani, Wheat porotta and beef ularthiyath. Biriyani and Poratha came first and later about 10 mins they brought the beef curry. Then i asked for an extra porotta which took more than 10 mins. So totall time taken to have a lunch was amost an hour. And when we asked repeatedly, without saying anything the staff smiled in such a way that they are offering free food to us.Pricing and quantity is okay.

I visited this branch thinking of the tasty food which I had before in their first Calicut notebook restaurant which is I think in Deira. But i was disappointed. Though the set up and the staff are good, food was not upto the mark. We ordered for honey glazed chicken fry for starters which was OK. Then we ordered for chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani. The chicken in the biriyani was not good. It was smelling bad so I could not eat it. I tried the mutton and it was ok but nothing special.

Went there for a family get together. Food was okay but is really overpriced. Cost for two AED 100. The toughest part is to find a parking. Consider parking outside lulu and walk to the restaurant.

Taste is good but the problem is we are not given pazhasi salad and welcome drink at calicut notebook stadium, Dubai. The starters are given in all other calicut notebook. They think they are providing it for free so they take it for granted and not providing the starters.

I cant belive it. the south Indian lunch I had it today was worth 25dhs. But they charging only 12 dhs. Including meet + fish curry +prawn + and atleast 5 south Indian veg curries . And pickle + pappad and salads and at last paayasam. Was really delicious. In a peacefully ambience.
