Simply Delicious...if described in just two words...The Ambience is Amazing: Simple yet classy....one of the few Restaurants in Dubai to have really spacious tables and comfortable sitting. The service was really good with Polite Staff....I would say this was the best Veg. Food to have in Dubai. We shall visit them frequently.

Akshar Restaurant is an authentic Indian vegetarian restaurant. The serve both Gujarati and Jain Cuisines. We had lunch which was Thali. They served potato curry, chick peas curry, paneer curry, cauliflower curry, dal and curd curry( kadi). Along with chapati and Kochi. The food was awesome. The sweets were really good. They served Shrikand, Malpuva and halwa. The food was good and nice.

Never seem before serving styles and presentations. There were different waiter for difference portions of the meal. They hover over...with some distance, but enough to see that the small silver containers were empty and would come to replenish them. Food: variety of tastes from subtle to very spicy. Staff: cordial.

Visited Akshar for dinner, tried Gujarati thali and im my opinion, it was great.Ambience is impressively good and comfortable spacious seating. Food service is done in typical dining hall style which will remind you of India. Food was fresh and delectable, i would say better than most places in India. Their chat too is worth trying.Their moong dal halwa is my favourite amongst everything on the platter.Overall, had a very good experience dining in here.

There was hardly one dish which qualifies to be Gujarati in terms of flavors, but, this was certainly one of the most satisfying and complete full course traditional meal experience I have had in ages. It is far better than the food that is being served in a Gujarati restaurant like Vishala (Ahmedabad) for eg.Recommended for all !

This restaurant is closed for quiet a few months now.Hype created by staff to give an impression that the tables are occupied and thus creating a waiting for nearly 12 to 15 people. When we actually got into the dinning area we noticed that more the half of the seating is empty. On questioning the staff, he gave us a perplexed smile and gave an excuse of having a serving issue. Food taste was just ok, nothing great. Decor is good but Ambience is too noisy. Prices are decent and service is quick.

Great tasting authentic Gujarati food. Costwise its complete value for money. Of the few times Ive visited here, Id rate lunch here over dinner especially on a friday. Thankfully the food here isnt really very spicy, its the right amount of spice that non Gujaratis would also enjoy.

1) The service was extremely bad - for each item, I had to call them to give - no system or line on how to deliver food, though I was sitting right in front of the owner. Even after saying repeatedly there was no change2) Dal, aam Ras, chas were extremely thin - water dilution was extreme3) the person who wanted to sit post me was already there standing beside me while I was eating.The owner - young chap was atleast listening and trying but restaurant lacked staff training

Considering it is new rated it 2, overall experience was closer to 1. Parking is also difficult.To start with we went during non peak hours, service was so ordinary. There were 5 to 6 individuals (probably managers) who were not doing much.Food quality was also just about ordinary, more oil and salty. The halwa served was very good, the rest of the sweets were just about ordinary.Btw - pricing is decent, considering the cost can be rated 3 for value for money.Hope the service improves and we have a better experience IF we go next time.
