We recently visited Appa kadahi .. since its in our neighborhood so we often used to go there..but due to COVID situation this time we went after 6 months. Their papadums are really yummy and crunchy. . My kids always wanna eat them here. Fresh lime soda was niceπ egg curry combo was very yummy .. I would definitely recommend. I dont know their staff has changed or what their kadla curry was not same. Gravy was runny , very spicy and taste was different. Dal was also spicy. Best is their appam .. super amazing.. it was very crunchy and so delicious ππ
I will never order from here again First experience itself was bad. I placed an online order through their website. One of the item was missing when I opened the delivered packet. Called them and said the issue, they started saying I did not order it. When I confronted them with the amount they charged item wise, he had no answer. Then he said it may be printing mistake. Then he said he will call me back He called me back and said he informed his management and they will call me back. Ha ha , waiting for the call from manager and the missing item.
The shop is closed permanently. It is now Supercare pharmacy
Time was 12:05pm(27-Aug-20). Ordered Chicken Spl Meals-South Indian (17AED) + tea (to match the min. 20AED). Lunch delivered at 1:20pm. It had a chapatti, lot of rice( like 1kg),one chicken curry, one cup mushroom pakoda, One papad, one cup rasam, one cup buttermilk(laban) and one dessert (payasam). Except for the Payasam all others tasted below average. Tea and buttermilk yet to taste. My advice- dont order this so called Chicken Spl meals coz its like zillions of miles away being Special.
The ambience and the food quality is below par. I wouldnt recommend this place to go and have food there. While I was entering, I could smell something weird. Im not sure what it is.The plates, the place and the serving is not neat and not up to the standard you expect in Dubai. On the other, the food is rather inexpensive. Order online if you wish to try. You can find the menu in the photos.
Good quality food but only drawback in Parking space. There is no parking available nearby. Also its paid parking
I didnt like the ambience at all with average service. Food also very average. Had appam with chetinad chicken gravy and it doesnt have authentic flavour
Please do not try Mutton Briyani ( Bone Briyani) , if you find flushes then you won big ticket, not suitable for kids as its spicy, name sake salad,no idea about other menu items.
Very bad service ever witnessed.Chicken spl meals was offered and received a food which is not worth for even 5 dhsWith worst rice, curry was given.. when asked what is spl in this meal they are silent..No wonder why there is no one in restaurant even in peak hours π€£π€£π€£π€£
Good food. Liked fried fish. Hot appam
If you are in Dubai Marina and craving for Appam and other South Indian Dishes, this is your best option. It is walkable from Dubai Marina Tram Station.Mango fish curry is great if you are OK with sour taste. Other items decent as well.Food: 4/5Ambience: 3/5Service: 3/5There are very few public parking spaces nearby.
Great Appams, hard to find this delicacy everywhere good combo of roast beef, 2 Appams, Raitha and Pappad, good service by the Filipino waitress and senior waiter, really hospitable . Authentic filter coffee also... nice place to visit, will go again for the appams
Chettinad chicken was poor, biriyani also not up to the mark
Value for money, chilli chutney appam, the best type of appam there, loved it
Great places for yummie appams n chicken curry! Great location , next to the metro station JLT! Must try
I have just ordered Mutton rogan josh, paneer butter masala, Appam, garlic Naan, tandoori roti, honestly no one should order such type of dishes from this restaurant. Same curry is used for paneer and mutton garlic was not fresh..... Order from any other place of you are hungry but do not take even for free.
Ordered the biriyani, was one of the most saddest biriyani I ever had. They need to up their game to sustain in the market.
Good taste.. with moderate ambiance..
Service is really slow at this location. Food is really good but can be a little too authentic for some people. All the curries have a lot of full spice bits. I liked it but its not always my cup of tea. Also the waiters really dont help you when you ask them the difference between curries.
We didnt like the taste of the food. The karama branch is better
Authentic South Indian cuisine. Appams and the curries were tasty.Itβs a small place and not really high on ambience but itβs just simple.Waiter was proactive. Would be even great if they can smile more
The taste of Appams is very good but the service at this branch is bad... Even with less capacity they are not able to manage very well...Looks like they are forced to do something which they dont like...!!!
Good authentic taste. Good price.
Seriously need some improvements! the food was good, the service was average and the restaurant and its hygiene is very poor. never going back again. Discovery garden branch is way better.
This is no uniqueness to it, trying to serve bits and pieces of everything but cant master any thing .. went there hoping for good south Indian but its below average north Indian , indo Chinese restaurant. Never again
The food is yummy I like it
Very polite and cheap
Cant find restaurant
Amazing south indian restaurant in the discovery gardens area. Personal favourite is appam and egg roast.
The food is very good. Good Service by the staff. Its a small Dine In Area, only cons is some time you have to wait for you to have seat. Good thing they deliver food too.
This place is hidden, difficult to get to, no parking, looks broken down on the inside but the food is so good thats why it gets 4 stars
This shop is closed
Good food, same price as that in karama. Parking problem
Quite place to have some good masala aappam
Very tasty food.Price is very reasonable for Dubai.Next day I ordered parcel service and they were very prompt in timing.Servers are very polite and respectful (because they are from my state - TamilNadu ha ha ha)I very well recommend everyone as a must try hotel.
Good taste of Kerala food. But little expensive. Sometimes there is a Waiting time for food. Otherwise its good to eat
Great Appams. Tasty food. Value for money place. Quick service. Close to Dubai Marina Tram station.
Delicious Appams, a must try

Nice appam. But average overall review. Coffee is terrible
Food served here gave me many stomach problems. North Indian food served has no taste either
Worst service and huge delay in getting ordered food. Only 2 guys serving food. AC dont work properly
Good food reasonably priced

Good food especially appam and Curry
Dubai south isβnt very rich in South Indian flavors. Aapa kadai brings in good aroma of the South Indian cuisine.
Clean place , very tasty and affordable Indian food. Worth to try!
Very good budget indian food.It is really testy. For such a prices do not expect a high level of services.
A quaint place, Appa Kadai should be on your list if you love food from down south. With an extensive menu, their Chetinnad specialties are a must try.. so are the mutton and prawns delicacies. If you are passing by during lunch time, so hop in for a full banana leaf meal at an unbelievable price. Their Aappams are a must try but may be they should also include dosas in their menu.Friendly staff and quick home deliveries available.
Awesome food... last year I tried the fish festival and it was scrumptious preparations of Kerala fish preparation..
Good food. Value for money. Small sitting area.
Staffs are friendly and well pleased,,,best destination for South Indian food with affordable prices.
Very yummy south Indian food. I am from South India and I found the food very authentic
While I stayed in Dubai marina for 4 weeks, almost every night , I had food there. The ambience may be average or even AC is POOR, but the food I tried, most of them are delicious, authentic & Hygiene. Beef Fry(9/10). King fish polichathu (9/10). King fish fry (10/10).Malabar fish curry(8/10). Plain Aapam (9/10). Mutton any form not fresh(4/10). Special Meals (8/10).Fried rice(7/10). Noodles(6/10).Burji (9/10). mango/strawberry Milk shake(9/10). Based on food I had, its worth it...
In love with appa kadai appams
Affordable considering JLT area. a little slow on the service during peak hours.
Good gravey and appamThe worst poratta I ever had.
Dubais Aappa kadai best place for south Indian food, Ultimate taste and value for money... located very next to marina
Good for sourh Indians especially who likes spicy food .. Must try mutton biryani
Cheap and best for South Indian dishes.
Not so good foodJust has an access to the highway and the tram
Tasty food
Amazing place for daal and chicken..reasonably priced
There is many variety of appams like kheema appams, egg appams and also Appam combos. Nonetheless a good place to visit for some authentic south food. Value for money.
Aappa Kadai is a very good restaurant serving South Indian dishes, especially their famous APPAMs.We have been to Aappa Kadai several Times when they were open at JLT. This was our first time in the Marina Branch. As usual we ordered the Appams with Chetinad (VEG this time) and EggRoast. They all were very good. We also ordered Chicken Lollipop, Malabar parantha and Bulls-Eye (Egg Appam). All items were very good as-well except the Chicken Lollipop that were just okay in taste. One thing I must mention here is their Mint Chutney was really very good! You must not forget to ask them to serve you this chutney with your order as it will compliment the dish.Overall a nice place that will fit in your budget and serves a good South Indian food.
We eat here often - South Indian food - go hereKrishna there is a great staff and always smiling and helpfulBulls eye Appam and Chicken stew for non-vegetarians and the spicy garlic curry with plain Appam is another favourite for the vegetariansEnjoy
