We would like to commend Albert for going extra mile in helping us find the power cable that we needed for our speaker. Hes extremely accommodating and professional. Were definitely coming back because of him. Excellent customer service! There should be more Albert in this world.

I love it ..even though quiet small but they have plenty of storage container from teeny tiny to big one ..beside that they have section for painting color and they can mix for you there …the stuff so much friendly 👏🏻

Dont believe what they say or whats written on their packages.. bought an expandable hose which thsy claimed its guaranteed for 5 years. 6 months later it burst and they wont even acknowledge that the packaging says it has warranty.Thought this is a respectable store but clearly am better off with ace hardware

I bought a light socket for 7 AED for my house in Homesmiths motor city. I fitted correctly but it blew the main fuse and damaged the contact in the main electrical switch on wall. I had an electrician check it and it was found that the socket was causing the short. When we fit another old socket the electrics was fine this indicates home smith socket had shorted and was a cause. I gave them the receipt and showed them the switch that got damaged. I dealt with manager called Johnson who called me and said that the socket was not purchased there and that he will speak to his supplier he made no sense. He promised a call back on Wednesday. Then he never called. I called and asked for him today Friday and he said I was waiting for me to come and meet supplier at the shop that was not true. For the sake of 7 AED return minimum on the 100 AED I spent because of a faulty socket holder it makes sense to return the 7AED credit note but he said it’s ongoing with supplier. Johnson’s professional behavior was disgraceful and you have now lost complete trust in buying anything there. I gave 5 days to resolve 7 AED problem but Its not about the money it was about the management behavior in the shop on a genuine issue. I have been going to Homesmiths Motor city since they open there. So now after today’s visit I will not return due to the in professional behavior.

Sort of ok hardware store with limited selection. For example, they could sell me a soldering iron, but no soldering wire. Still find that one interesting.Also, prices are very average. Nothing impressive.

Im so disappointed! I used to come to Homesmiths to buy hardware tools. Which is what they are known for along with much better prices than Ace. Unfortunately, I walked in today at the Motorcity branch to discover they reduced the hardware section into a small shelf at the back and they barely have a couple of items on it. Why would management take such a decision? I have no idea. Even when people search for homesmiths on Google, it would show you what people also searched for and you can see Speedex and Ace hardware and all the other hardware shops. This is a big indicator of why people come to this shop but now its all plastic ware and useless commercial items As seen on TV.I hope management sees my review and rethink their strategy.
