This company does not deserve a one star. Stay away! The images you see is from a wig that I purchased from them and has not even been used. I washed the hair before using it (I prefer when it is less glossy) and all the hair fell off. ALL OF IT. there is nothing left of the wig. I used wigs for ove 10 years and this has never ever happened before. I contacted the company to give them a chance to reimburse me or change my wig, and they wont accept phone calls or Whatsapp. They are ignoring me. Further than this review I am filing a case and report against them as this is absolutely not acceptable. Their wigs are not cheap!!!! The hair you see is what fall of just from brushing the hair after wash it.

I contacted them first on Instagram and I was not responded to what I had asked. Instead I got a response to an alternative. Nonetheless I went into their salon which is very classy. The salon manager is extremely rude. I had to try to just ignore her whilst I spoke to the polite Ghanaian lady. The wig I bought is lovely I dare say. It’s very professionally made.The staff really needs to have extreme customer service training done. Customers really cannot suffer such rudeness when they’re paying for such over priced items.

Bought the “Kimmy” wig from this seller for $430 after a 15% discount. The wig was not sufficiently described and in poor condition. It also did not come with any clips or bands to secure the wig. It had very little lace (also not in the description), and the wefts were poorly sewn to the wig cap. After speaking with the owner, she advised no refunds were possible, which is nonsense. I decided to escalate my claim on PayPal in hopes of a fair decision, but of course they know nothing about wigs and decided in her favor. I tell any and everyone who will listen: be warned. These wigs sell at a premium price but are mediocre at best. I work hard for my money and I needed something that would help cover my traction alopecia whilst I nursed my hair back to health. Instead I was given a bottom of the barrel wig that cost me my hard, earned money. While I’ll recover from this loss, someone else may find this a devastating blow to their pockets and I want to make sure what happened to me doesn’t happen to you.

The girla are able to do anything provided with a photo. Easy to find and renovated location. I always do Micro braids and this time it only took 5 hours! Worse salon Ive ever been in, in the whole time ive been in Dubai. I paid cover 5,000 aed they are complete frauds.I paid 4,700 aed for a wig that lasted me 3 weeks. In the 2nd week big clumps of hair had fallen out showing all the lace and I looked bald in places.Secondly the wig had been wrongly fitted on my head and 2 stylists were arguing on how it had been fitted. One of the stylists ripped the wig off of my head which had been dried with glue already which gave me cuts and sores across the top of my head (photos) available.After 3 weeks so much of the hair had fallen out I contacted them and their attitude was disgusting (whoevers so running the Instagram page)Ive asked to talk directly with the owner and they are refusing to give me their details) I then was told to go back into the salon to get it fixed. I went back in they charged me an extra 735aed to which I thought was my wig getting refilled, I spent a couple hours there and all they did was treat it and restyled where the partin was. I was fuming and shocked that I was told one thing and another was done and charged for it.The person running the Instagram page then was rude as hell to me saying you came into the salon and we cant do anymoreOk so a wig you advised me would last one year if looked after well didnt even last 3 weeks and I had my forehead cut in the process and then charge me extra money cause of your lies and poor quality wigs, do you think thats fair? Ive lived since 2007 in Dubaj and never experienced such bad customer service and been conned for something like this.I have contacted Dubai Municipality because I am that angered and I wish this to not happen to anyone else.You should not be aloud to trade. I did not even ask for the full amount of money back and still the woman running Instagram and who I spoke to on the phone was so rude and had such a bad attitude!!!!

Ive been twice since I moved here. I have no complaints about the braiding, beautiful work and the young lady that did my hair was great. However, I have been hustled twice when it was time to pay by at least 100aed. We agreed on a price and when it was time to pay something was always added. I will not return which is a shame because I loved my hair.

I’ve been to this shop twice. The women there are so polite. Very nice and respectful women. But I don’t feel as if they take pride in their work. They don’t do their closure very well. They’re not tight and it flips within a few days. They charge extra for EVERYTHING. The first time I was there I had to buy my hair from them and I washed my hair two weeks later and it end up looking HORRIBLE. When I say they don’t take pride in their work, it seems like they just do enough to get you up out their chair. Or maybe it’s because they’re beginners when they do closures. I’m just use to American stylist. They make sure you walk out the salon happy. They make sure you can brag about not knowing you’re wearing a closure. I’ve seen other work they’ve done and it’s pretty nice. But when they do sew-In with closure it is OKAY. It’s not horrible but it’s nowhere near great like I’m use to. I will request people to go to the shop because they are not bad. They do okay work with sew-in but I will not request Anyone to purchase the hair. I don’t know if I got a bad batch but it wasn’t good hair. But their wigs are nice and they do great work but just not with sew-in. I think they should watch more YouTube channels to get better with closure and it will b the perfect shop.

Wow! Can I tell you..I’ve visited this salon when I visit Dubai. I live in Saudi so I have difficulties in getting getting good hair care. Anyway... so I arrive at the airport and go straight to the salon because they were closing within the hour. I need clip-on’s and they did not have it at the salon. I was disappointed because I needed to have my hair look awesome for my next day work event. Well.... these ladies went beyond the typical customer service. They washed and blowed dried my hair and Madame Annabel... and she rightly deserves the title of Madame... took the measurements of my head.. dyed the hair that I selected ...left the salon around 9pm went all the way to Dierra to get the clip-on’s : made the clip-on’s and travelled all the way to my hotel in Jumeirah to not only put my clip-on’s on but cut and shaped my Bob.... this girl is awesome.. I mean awesome... she left my hotel at 12:30 am... who does that... Madame Annabel. She went beyond the call of duty and demonstrated what customer service truly is... I love her for this.. I will ALWAYS be a true customer of this establishment because of HER.... thank you Madame Annabel for making me look fabulous and leaving this customer more than satisfied. You are a true example of a stellar employee and I only hope that the owner of the establishment truly understands how special you are. You deserve a pay rise and I hope she promotes you! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!I am an African woman and the staff was African as well. While getting my hair done (which turned out horrible) a white British couple came in and their daughter wanted 4 half cornrows on the side of her hair. They joked about how much to charge them and quoted them 250 drh!!!!!! Even the girl’s father was shocked. He said 250 dirham for 4 not even all the way down braids ? The staff said yup!! Because it’s stylish! I was shocked and I couldn’t help but tell her that was wrong!!!THIS BUSINESS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

My wife was here four times since 2014. The first time was perfect service and perfect quality. In the years after this visit, year for year the quality, the service and the friendly were going less. So in the holidays in the next year we will change the Saloon.

I went to tgis saloon today and it was the worst customer service I have experienced in dubai.I have been waiting 7hours for a full treatment. I came at 11am and my treatment had finished at 7pm. Full lack of organization and professionalism. This is more like a parlor saloon than an actual hairdresser. Totally disappointing. Won’t recommend nor come back.

I turned up slightly early and was seen straightaway, nice clean salon, friendly staff, super cheap (150 aed for a relaxer which coming from London is very reasonable) and they took care of my hair well. Would highly recommend.

This place has the absolute worse service. Once the sale is made they dont much care afterward. I came back to get the band tighten and for a few small adjustments and they were quoting 250dhs! To start the work there was a bit of styling glue left on the lace the size of my pinky finger (which I pointed out to them) and they asked for 100dhs to take it off. I told them all it takes is a bit of water and they said then go home, take it off and come back. I asked them if I could just use their sink and they said to use ANY service in their salon you had to pay. They were extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Never coming back here again!!!

Friendly staff. However, I was definitely overcharged and left unsatisfied with service. I went to have hair straightened (by flat iron) and left with extremely greasy, stringy hair. I would have given it another shot but not at the price I paid.

I went to this salon and bought one wig.I didn’t like the attitude of the hairdressers!! They were not friendly and not kind at all!! I won’t go there again!

The owner is so rude and the salon is extremely overpriced for the service they are providing.I called to make an appointment and when I came the next day, they are overbooked and I waited an hour to be serviced. Whilewaiting I told the owner If I had to wait this long, they should just have walk in. She rolled her eyes rudely and responded with we double book because of no shows.When it was my turn, they want to use the same comb they use on everyone elses hair without washing it extremely unhygienic. Luckily I had my own comb. I requested a wash and the lady tried to add a texturizer without my permission and I stopped her. The Braider did my hair too tight. When I politely asked for it to be done softer, she did it with attitude ofcourse.When it was time to pay I was charged for services not rendered and owner tried to charge me for a price different than on the website. I just paid and would not go back.Before accepting their services, check and make sure they are rendering the service you ask me and becareful of being hustled at checkout. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Definitely will never go back!

When I first moved to Dubai I was in need of a hair salon that I could find that was proficient in mainitaning, at that time, my natural & somewhat fine 3c hair. I was new to transitioning so my hair really needed a lot of tlc to prevent breakage with my sew-ins. I found Afrodiva on Instagram and was impressed by their feed so I decided to give them a try. From my very first visit I was hooked!!! The staff was extremely cordial and paid close attention to my hair care needs. It was actually the fastest sew-in I had ever received because the stylist was a master at braiding. Needless to say that the Dubai heat didnt help my transition and it became too much for me to continue so I decided to get a relaxer. Seeing how much I was so overwhelmed with my hair journey, the staff made me feel even more comfortable with the relaxing process and even recommended the Mayonnaise /Shea Butter Steam which it hair loved. Now, although Ive now applied a chemical relaxer, my hair has made serious strides in length and is stronger than ever!! I cant see anyone else in Dubai touching my hair and highly recommend this salon!!

On my first visit i thought wow the girls so friendly so do the work neat and professional this time is when i purchase a weft it was one of the great quality but so expensive ,second time I visited i explain what i want (dye , care and re instal the weft ) Although every service was reletevly pricy ..The lady who worked on me this time was different however i didnt get what i want at the end! I told the girl the color meant to be ash blond which I didn’t have !! But they got my money and tried to convince me this color looks more natural for your skin! Well I didn’t ask for it though!!I thought i am going to complain by texting through instgram private to the boss . But guess what she didn’t get back to me after taking info and my complaint at all !To be honest i was expecting since i payed lot into both visits ,the staff would care to keep me as re current costumer but was disappointed by the ignorance from the boss not even apologized for the mistake ..At least i learn my lesson ; i am not paying again unless i get what i ask for or explanation!! When I first move to dubai, I found this place. despite the negative comments I saw here and there, I gave a try and espacially was not far from home. But since 2 years now, it is always a hustle to deal with the different hairdressers in this salon, and they dont give the place the client should have. we pay for the service it is not free and its even more expensive than some places in Dubai. Never again I will go there. Never ! I bever see such a poor client service in my life, and espacially so expensive.

Would help if the hairdressers did not have to be advised by a non-profession on how to dress hair ... aka not to burn your scalp with a hair iron! To top it off you get over charged. Terrible - not again!!

Afrodiva Salon is definitely the place to go to get your hair done in Dubai. When I moved to Dubai from Barbados I had very long natural hair but I wanted to relax my hair so I can maintain it. I searched for salons in dubai and I went to these salons to ask questions about relaxing my hair. When I visited Afrodiva the staff was so friendly, warm and welcoming I felt as if I was at home. I asked alot of questions there and afterwards on whatsapp and I received prompt responses from the owner and staff. Not once did the staff get frustrated or annoyed. From the first day getting my hair relax I have returned every two weeks for maintenance. My hair looks healthy and it is very strong. The staff provides you with the best advice to maintain your hair at home in between your visits so your hair remains healthy. They also use some of the best hair products in the world such as Mizani, Olive Oil, Argan Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oik etc. The staff is very talented and experience in all types of hair care. When you visit you know and can feel that they really care about you and it is not about the money. Afrodiva service is top notch service and the very best in Dubai. Thank you Afrodiva.
