I have signed for a 6 months membership and received +3 months vouchers, when the 6 months ended they haven’t added the remaining 3 months i have and keep saying they have an issue on the system for over a month now. I’m not able to book any classes and i have to keep repeating the story everyday to them to open the gate for me. Today one of the receptionists told me that they can’t add the vouchers and it was rejected. When i spoke to the manager she told me it is approved but still the system issue. It’s too frustrating and i did’t expect such a thing from a big name like fitness first. I go to the gym to feel better not to keep arguing and fighting everyday for something that i have signed and paid for!!!!

The gym in general when it comes to equipment is good, but the toilets and showers are not in a good condition, also paying same amount for membership fees and still don’t have access to drinking water to towels which should be part of the membership fees

Excellent place to work out, cardio , weights , group classes, if u are regular to group classes, no one can stop u from being fit

Excellent personal trainers, terrible management and client services. The best crowd go in the morning and after noon. 6 pm onwards becomes packed with testestoron, low hygiene and those who never return the weights or clean the seats after using them.

One of the best locations for Fitness First, few RED machines are bad designed but over all great Gym.

I was a member of Fitness First, now I moved to warehouse GYM, super and highly professional team.I can’t compare with fitness First who show clear racism and partiality.The counter staffs in IBN need to be more professional and treat everyone same.

I was hesistant at first to go to the gym again because of the pandemic, but Im glad I did. I feel safe while doing my exercises as they are continuously sanitizing every equipment after every use and they dont let you use for quite sometime after sanitizing. And social distancing is being followed even while using the equipments.In addition, all the staff are welcoming and friendly. 👌😊

Try not to go on peak hour from 7pm to 9pm. Great place for gym lovers. Lots of good machine to work out for your full body.

Prices on memberships seem sketchy and prices are given unofficial, only shown on a calculator. Staff gets angry if you dont want to leave your details.Went there with my wife to get information about the pricing and different options for memberships. The first thing they ask before giving any information is to write your details and phone number to a list. Once I explained I only want to get the info and prefer not to leave my details the receptionist got annoyed and called the guy responsible for the membership. Once he found out I didnt leave my details he also got upset and upon asking for the different packages he calculated something and showed me the number on a calculator, making sure nobody else around the reception could see. The whole process seems sketchy considering Fitness First is such a large group of gyms.We left without even looking at the gym because we felt very unwelcome.

Great place and so many equipment. But poor management and staff . They won’t care you if you don’t take the personal trining program. Not even free sections. Only focus on the members and membership programs . I joined after one month no one even approached me for a free section which I suppose to get it. And I didn’t even get my welcome kit which is also suppose to get together the joining time. Front desk staff juts working as a robot as they are only instructed to look for memberships only. I had bad experience and i moved to an other gym. But they have very good equipment no doubt about it

Except at the time of enrolling, there is no concern towards the members. Too many restrictions on cancellation and freezing policies. For everything there is an additional charge. Very disappointed. It is a big hassle to deal with them. Would not recommend anyone nor join again. Flexibility, communication and concern should be the utmost priority of a gym towards its members WHICH IS INCREDIBLY LACKING IN FITNESS FIRST.

Honestly the gym is great and trainers are friendly and really welcoming. I love it and will recommend it to anyone.

One of the best Gyms in Dubai, situated in China Court of IBN Batuta Mall (1st Floor) opposite to NOVO Cinemas. Many affordable packages are available (monthly/ half-yearly/ yearly), with multiple flexible options & session timings. Availability of most of the training equipments, Dance-Cardio-Mind&Body trainings etc are the main attractions at IBN Batuta Branch. Service of a large number of certified personal trainers (chargeable extra) are beneficial for members with specific requirements/ health conditions.

I used to go to the Ibn Battuta branch for a while, the price for a trainer was very expensive hence I couldnt go for it, I get gyms are expensive but what got me to leave was the continuous nagging from the staff to take a trainer, the final straw was when a trainer basically straight out said you cant lose weight unless you have a trainer. This sort of environment proved to be too toxic for me, I came to lose a bit of weight and get back on track in life not to be shamed into spending more than i can affordEdition:I rejoined this gym with alot of apprehension. I was informed of the structural and personnel changes. This has reflected very well on the gym and I am quite happy with the service that is being provided. Love the classes. For those intimidated by gyms, try their classes please its totally worth it

Used to love this place... but now it is so difficult get class bookings, no sauna, no steam, no towel all thx to Covid

Now during covid time, only half the equipment in use which mean you are lucky if the machine you want is free! Also find many people are not wiping down equipment before/after use....staff are there, but they do not seem bothered??

Commercial Gym, lots of classes, clean bathrooms and shower rooms. Wouldve been bit bigger considering it gets busier in evening and morning

This is a very convenient branch as it is inside the mall. But no plastic bags available here. I assume it is only available in Platinum for some reason !!!

Four days ago, I came to pay the monthly subscription. The employee told me you do not have any payments now, but for the end of September, I came the next day and was surprised at the entrance card. It did not work to enter and the employee called and said the subscription has ended and you must pay now and that the bank card is empty and she was speaking loudly There is no privacy, and this in itself is a disgusting situation, and I will not renew my subscription in it. I will look for a sports club that contains high quality handling and hygiene.

The staff there are very careless, the trainer do not care with the new customers and they don’t know what they are doing, and the reception staff are caring only how much you are going to pay, it is a real messy.

I’ve been a member at this gym for 6months now and it has been great so far. I personally like this gym a lot, im a fan of the renovations: simple, new machines introduced, especially for the cardio. Hope they get one or two curved treadmills though. Changing rooms and showers need major renovations.Overall service is fine, i’ve always got the assistance whenever i asked for. Although some of the trainers aren’t very welcoming particularly if they want to free the space before their class, but overall very nice people though.I would recommend this gym.

A bunch of hungry folks willing to take all your money. Fitness is far from their agenda. First, they would sell you a membership without informing complete details (yeah, they give a bunch of papers with T&C, but no time to go through them). And then they would keep selling personal training. Without personal training, the trainers wouldnt even look at you or bother to correct you if you are doing something wrong/ dangerous.Stay away for good!!!

I specifically told Fitness First at the beginning of the Covid situation that we would not be able to continue. I was told twice not to worry, that I wouldnt be charged. Yesterday they charged me, and when I called they were quick to tell me in the rudest manner basically too bad, and that it should have been done in writing. Why didnt they mention this when they had 2 chances to do it? Either terrible customer service, or terrible direction from leadership to survive in these tough times. This was already shared through their Customer Support email by the way.

The place is neet, clean and very well equipped. Its big enough with plenty of equipment so that you can easily maintain social distancing. Hand sanitizers are generously available all around, in addition to liquid sanitizers and napkins as everyone is required to sanitize the equipment after use.Fabio Costa is a great PT, somehow he manages to make training very enjoyable even though he gets you out of your comfort zone.

I had a great experience in this place. Brilliant group classes and very well organized. Payment through bank installments was not possible since they only had an agreement with only one bank, unfortunately not mine. The personal trainer is professional, unfortunately I will have to consider working out on my own soon, since they charge more than any other gym when comes to personal training, which I find really too expensive even with the occasional discounted rates it’s still unreasonable

It’s a big and all gym but I feel personal training sessions should be included in the package with a little extra rather than making it a sales thing at the gym and selling them to existing customers.

Fitness First only cares about money.Yes indeed.My one year contract has been finished a long time ago, and I decided to pay monthy to avoid any obligations whenever I want to not resume with them.I pay at the 1rd day of each month to use it for that month.but when I decided to stop going, I found out that I have to pay for 2 months that I did not use it(although the contract was finished ) Because as they claimed that we have to inform them one month before.What is this illegal policy that makes a person to pay for 2 months if they decide at the moment to not join the gym anymore for any kind of reasons.Who are they to inform them a month before!!! , we are not employees at their company.Better gyms than FF are not doing that.#fitness_first

I’ve been a member in this for many years, when FF reputation was really good.Now Terrible management, awful service, very ugly RED renovations done for they GYM.The person who deployed the machines has no clue about training nor has a basis knowledge of what machines needs to be next to each other for zoning to reducing traffic inside the GYM.Many machines were taken out of gym, probably they’ll open a new gym with it.Oh God......!!!!!!

Super impressive gym. Fitness first usually has a very good fit out all across the UAE. If you go and train often the membership works out pretty much affordable. Youll have to pay up front though. Lots of parking as its in the mall. Parking is also free. Busy in peak times as with all gyms. They have pretty much all you need except Olympic lifting platforms. Go check it out.

Really poor service , the promotion of refer a friend and get 1 month was not applied , the staff and the club manager giving the same excuse for last 2 months no one had a clearity about my case. No proper customer service at all .. club manager said he will give me a call but never does..

This fitness first branch is good , not the best in equipment, but it is fine. , you will find most of the main machines that you need for training , the gym is clean and considered quite compared to other fitness first branches which are usually crowded, the staff are good and helpful if you ask for help.

I love this gym i used to go there since 2013, this is the only place where i really can exercise ...1- it needs some renovation now adays for the equipment and2- the shower area needs to be renovated as well ( the water 🚿 flux is bad )3- and they need to get new towels .. other than that its a great place to work out at .. at least not like other nasty gyms ( ppl go to show off and girls go to get guys and the opposite) i love this place ..4- wish they work from 5:30 till 12:00 midnight like other gyms .. they close so early.. One more thing ..before they used to provide nice bags and belts and water bottles ..5- now the quality of these things is low.. on all cases sorry that i made it long .. but i love this place and i want it to get better..Staff trainers there are nice friendly and sticky !!sales peple are very annoying ..Their system that they deduct money from ur account is perfect ..no registration fees now adays is something lovely ..

No water believe it or not WHILE YOU EXERCISE (buy water every single day or bring an empty bottle to fill it by the cooler because they do not provide cups)as for safety no one cares about it as I had a muscle tear injured infront of a trainer who was spoting me, he lyed me on my back then he went back to his training and I had to leave the gym to call an ambulance outside.Fahad AlFahad, a previously fitness center owner/founder and a lifetime bodybuilder. member at fitnessfirst since less than 2 months!

It’s a nice gym but recently my membership ended and when I wanted to extend thy could only offer so called platinum membership that is for all FitnessFirst gyms. Sadly I don’t need access to other gyms but only this one. Shame there is no flexibility in offering and you have to pay for all gyms when you want to use one only.

Spacious enough to accommodate members but not in term of equipment. I always come in on unusual timing ( 10am or 3pm ) but surprisingly I still have to spend good amount of time looking for a spare dumbbell or kettle bell. Personal trainer are super nose - up , specially when you turn them down on PT program offer. They will unfriendly tell you not to touch the equipment which they reserve for their own client, which is unfair.

Deceitful, manipulative and absolutely no business ethics. That is my summary rating for Fitness first IBN Battuta based on my personal experience. Be careful before signing the fitness membership. Watch out for defective and un- calibrated health check up equipment that can give you misleading health metrics. From the reviews below I see many others had similar experience......which i chose to ignore before i joined.. but i learned my lessons hard way..

I am a member in Burjuman FF and inquiry about Ibn Batuta and was assisted with Maha. She was so energetic over the phone and was really helpful. I managed to get the trial in Ibn Batuta and thanks to her. Well done Maha.

Well managed. The schedules are prompt and if the instructor isnt present, there is always a replacement. The personal coaches are also quite professional. Clean toilets, and clean environment. The app is also convenient for bookings and cancellations and to check schedules

FF are always quick to take your money, however as quick to unfortunately drop the services offered. I have an EXPENSIVE PLATINUM membership which allows me access to all clubs. I am SHOCKED TO SEE THE APPALLING VENTILATION with the very dated use of FANS in their class studios, lack of maintenance, & what upsets me the MOST is how they use their INTRUSCTORS ABSENCE NOT TO HAVE CLASSES COVERED. All schedules have been significantly reduced over the summer weeks, without alternatives offered, or monthly memberships being discounted due to their lack of commitment to members. The clubs are as busy throughout summer months too! RESPECT & VALUE YOUR PAYING MEMBERS & YOUR INSTRUCTORS TOO!!

No flexibility in packages and expensive now. My renewal came up and the only offer was th platinum package which includes all gyms. I didnt want it as I use only ibn Batutta but they could not offer any other package. So I decided not to renew it. Hopefully they start having more flexible packages.Other wise good gym and good trainers. No complaint from that aspect

If you want to experience trickery and manipulation first-hand, deal with their sales team and get to your fitness goals right away! (of course while they milk you away with every fil youve got in any opportunity they get)I availed a months membership and authorized (via WhatsApp message) the card payment which went through same day. So no papers, no signatures. Not even a month passed I stopped coming and to my surprise without a single heads-up, I was charged for another month without my authorization (my previous authorization states they can only charge on that day, not recurring). Apparently they have a document which makes them feel untouchable called Manual Key In which authorizes them to charge your card (like an SPA but it helps them get away with milking you out of your money). The flaw is, it can only be valid if its actually signed by the authorizing body! Yet they signed it themselves, which in a legal sense is very questionable. To make it worse it is freely consented by the National Sales Manager. Talk about having each others back right.This is just one of many unheard voices of consumers asking for a fair and just treatment. Please tell me this is not how this big brand was built.Untrustworthy. Manipulative. Exposed.

My favorite branch among all fitness first branches. Very clean and organized and the stuff are friendly and cooperative as well. I recommend it for sure 👍

Fitness First - I was into fitness in different sports dance since school days and some where as we grow up we loose track of what we were I think fitness first connects to all horizon and I have been associated with burjuman centre for almost a year and now Ibn batuta since 3 weeks, already feel connected.. the smiles, greetings, enthusiasm before am breakfast is all you need to super charge and get on with your day, I enjoy the leverage of customization of packages with trainer who are keeping up with my diet and balancing my workouts especially having a knee injury they are not just focusing on my health but my fitness endurance cardio and lot more and I have liberty to choose my classes they have quality and variety of classes and different levels of trainers .... being an entrepreneur I understand and realize that quality comes with a price I believe its worth it,, they are very well keeping up the race of exclusive fitness industry and I will always be a part of it til I can thanking you FF last but not least I enjoy their discounts too on good vibes :P team keep up the good work :)

Worst experience.. I was a member if fitness first previously and had paid the joining fee.. When I wanted to join again (Fitness First Ibn Battutta) they offered me AED 349 PM + AED 699 joining fee. Since they wanted to charge me the joining fee again, I refused to join the gym and was looking around for other options. Today I got a call from Mr. Ijaz, Fitness First Ibn Battutta saying they have waived the joining fee and you can come and join. When I reached I learnt that they have increased my monthly fee to 399 PM instead of previously discussed AED 349 and then waived the joining fee.When I asked him why he didnt inform me about it and wasted my time, he was giving a million excuses. I asked for the Manager and they called a Filipino lady who came and was trying to offer the same while not being able to give me an answers. All she had to say a very cold apology.Its either Firstness First has lost its quality if people, they dont have quality people for the job , they dont give them the required training or they just dobt care and all they want to do is sell memberships..What a shame.. the have no respect for people or their time.. Big Disappointment..

Needs a bit of updating and more inside illumination. It is nice and convenient as it situated inside the mall. Bigger place compared to other branches. A bit crowded but tolerable. Need a bit of lively background music for motivation.

Never buy membership in this gymThey showed their real face when corona started and they were in control.

Average gym for none professionals.

I dont advise any one to join this GYM, specially IBN Battuta branch, since you sign a contract, and finally they put you another expiry date which is not the same one you sign.Also too much crowded, and service areas are not clean that much!!

Good location. Interesting indoor placement. Complimentary coffee-tea-water. Besides sports you can find dance classes there as well.

The worst branch so far ... there is someone Called alex i think.. and he always talk in a non professional way with customers ..i have been a member for a long time ..but everytime i visit this branch i feel down ..because of the non pro managers.

Been there for a very long time. Luckily this year they have renovated a big and it looks fresher. Can get quite congested during peak times so plan accordingly

I think this is the best fitness center in dubai its so convenient and its on so many locations you dnt have an excuse to visit the gym
