I am not an Egyptian , so I don’t know the original flavor or how the authentic traditional Cairo food cooked, but this place is recommended to visit, if you want to try the Egyptian food, even though the prices were extremely high, but you can manage to share dishes with your guests , the Hama is small, the Akawi is tasty, and Moamar rice is outstanding ( rice cooked in milk inside oven), they said the Friday buffet having many items, we will try to visit someday, and have freedom with quantity, since a la cart option having small portion.
I havent been to Cairo for over 11 years , from the minute I stepped in this restaurant I felt I went back to my beloved country , the restaurant is amazing, the staff is very skilled and highly motivated to serve you with an unforgettable smile , the food is very tasty, the ambiance is charming .Special thanks to Dr.Tamer who made a peace of art in Dubai and give to all Cairo lovers the city they love at their doorstep.
One of the good places for authentic Egyptian cuisine.Tried them during the lockdown and they still offering a great service during that tough time .However during the last visit, the place was over crowded and noisy and we were bit disappointed.Food is highly priced for the quality you actually get 😋 👌And the location is amazing .you can also enjoy walking at Dubai Water Canal is a lovely spot for a run/walk/bike ride and even taking photos.
Perfect place, helpful crew, excellent service, u feel like U R In Home ❤ Thanks Guys 👌🏻🤗❤
Ver nice regarding quality of food, service and in resturants appearance.
Went here for the firstime and im lovin it.Very relaxing and good for shisha.I tried the national dish which is Koushaer as i dont remember what is it exactly the name.I also got avocado juice i loved it but too sweet then they change to Mango Juice is so yummy. The vibes are great but just the music i dont understand why they played Christmas song and keep repeating all the time. But above all the staff are amazing and they even taking care of us nicely.
One of the best Egyptian restaurants in Dubai do far. Beautiful decorated place, spacious with smoking and non-smoking areas. Very good variety of items on the menu; mainly Egyptian dishes. Quality of food is excellent. Food was really tasty and delicious. Almost all the items were excellent. We were a large group many of whom were Egyptians and they all liked it. Food was not heavy nor greasy. On desserts we tried the Mango Kunafa which was delicious and the famous Um Ali which was the best I had in a while. If there is a room for improvement I would say the service. It was friendly but a bit inefficient.I just hope they maintain the quality.
The food is really nice and clean but after I ordered once and tried to do it again they claimed there was a 150 Dirhams minimum charge because they knew I am ordering from a 5 stars hotel and afterwards took it back .. very unprofessional trying to exploit customers like that ..next time use a reasonable minimum charge if you are willing to do it
First time we visited here and it was a lovely place and reasonably priced indeed.. great views near by and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming...look forward to going there again.
One of the best restaurants and coffee shop in the UAE, excellent service, they have never fail me. All staff there are well trained and very friendly, especially waiter Mr Hanafy.
Follow up Review (April 2019) - 2 Stars:Cairo Gourmet still maintains the level of good food and great service. But I was disappointed to see swarms of tiny flies roaming on the tables. In addition, they served store-bought Lebanese bread instead of the expected freshly baked Egyptian bread which is a huge blow. Will give them another chance in few months.Original Review (February 2019) - 4 Stars:Among the best Egyptian restaurants in Dubai.Strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road with plenty of parking areas around. Nicely decorated and properly segregated into smoking and nonsmoking areas. Service is great, menu offers lots of options among the most popular Egyptian delecacies, food is good, but prices are high. Will definitely return.
My best Cafe in UAE … thank you Cairo Gourmet staff .
Its a very nice place in dubai.Theres a smoking and non smoking area.Delicious Egyptian food
Clean, warm personal, quite crowded but service fast and precisely in time. Dishes well presented, ingredients correct, tasty. Mutabbal perfect, hummus as well five stars, meet well sometimes over cooked but thats oriental way, if you warn the waiter they will correct it hat. Green salads, tomato etc well washed, clean, fresh, tasty. Dont miss this place. A place to come again and again with friends and family. Shhhh, if they could serve few drops of wine or Arak........That will be perfect.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, would definitely visit there again.
We went for the breakfast buffet for 30 AED and it was very nice and tasty. All the basics for a traditional Egyptian breakfast and some with a nice twist. There was also an egg station to cook eggs how you like. Great service as well and the place was almost empty on a Tuesday morning so we felt comfortable having the place all to ourselves. Highly recommended
Very nice place. Typical Egyptian food. Nice Shisha.
Went there on Friday for egyptian breakfast. Egyptians beans are tasteless, falafel were very oilyyyy and eggs too... The place used to be spotless, but not anymore... Dear ownerss,, you should take care of your restaurant....
Delicious Egyptian food.Nice staff.
Good dining experience. Would recommend this restaurant for a quiet and cozy dinner.
We had so much fun eating at this restaurant and the food was divine. We were only in Dubai for 36 hours and couldnt decide what to eat at Cairo Gourmet so we decided to take their special for AED 220 (feeds 4, but probably enough for 6 smaller people). The special gives you a variety of grills (beef, chicken, lamb), a vegetarian grill platter, soups, breads, tea, humus, rice, liver and a few other items. Definitely suggest paying them a visit if you are in Dubai. They are close to Business Bay and not too far from the Dubai Mall via taxi.
As always the best food and excellent service 🤩great job guys👏🏻☺️
Best Egyptian restaurant in Dubai. Lunch time is the best time to go weekdays and the staff is mostly fast and attentive. Inexpensive and value for money is great .
Food is very good, place is amazing.Waiters should be more friendly. The worst thing in the place is children, lots of them, running around and screaming, if the restaurant would make an isolated place for kids to play that would be very good.
I went there on Friday morning and found out that they serve open buffet breakfast so I asked them if I can order from the menu and they confirmed that i can and they help me to get seated. When I ordered sandwiches, they told me that you can only order plates with no clear explanation on why I cannot order what I like to order especially that I can order same type of food but It has to be plate. They force me to leave and go to another Egyptian restaurant near them called Hadouta Masrya where I ordered whatever I want from the menu without any attitude.
Took long for my order to arrive and when it did it was wrong order. When I called and said what I ordered! And what I got was wrong...The reply wasOh ok, cant it work? In other words cant you eat it or do we need to send you a correct order??Momkin timshi ??I was shocked from. The reply not even an apology or we will fix it , it was 3 orders of same thing wrong!Very bad customer service even though I loved their food.
An elegant decorated Egyptian restaurant. It has large nice seating areas, one for smoking and other for non smoking. The food is nice and delicious. Service is excellent and not slow. There is lot of paking space outside the restaurant underneath the bridge. It has no outdoor seating area. They also serves traditional Egyptian breakfast.
I just going for first visit to try the Egyptian cuisine then I found bad welcoming and I ask the cashier to assist me to get coins for parking he said dont have coins by bad way then no attention to take the order more than 10 min only they put empty small cup without bottles of water !! Then I left the restaurant without try the food
Best service and friendly staff recommend eating here
I had such high expectations for this place, especially from the name “gourmet”. Nothing about it is actually gourmet. It’s a normal Egyptian food restaurant. I was excited to see one of my very favorite very Egyptian dishes on the menu, rice kofta, but to my disappointment, they were not actually serving it. I chose molokhya and fatta as they are my favorite too. The molokhya was good but fatta not too much. It didn’t have the Egyptian flavors in it and the meat wasn’t that good. The staff were very friendly and they kindly changed the dish with grilled chicken which was very good. It was a safe bet because I was actually eating my friends food when I didn’t like the fatta. I came for lunch so the place and vibes were quiet. I am not sure I’d call this the best Egyptian place in Dubai, since you know you are the best from serving the best authentic food and that unfortunately wasn’t my experience.
Good resturant with nice staff. The bad thing is the resturant was full of smoke, hence I suggest to make a separate sections for smokers and nonsmokers.
Good food, friendly staff, and clean environment.
Good food and vibe, staff friendly. access is very easy and RTA parkings available at the entrance, it can be a little noisy in the evenings and mostly busy in the smoking area, their Fteer mshaltet is great 👌🏼
Service is not good, food quality is not the best, however it is expensive
The chief there is so friendly and handled a great conversation. Food tasted amazing and all staff were meeting up with the safety measures.Would always recomend to visit for morning breakfast as the view is just amazing.
No care in the service even food is not done well enough
Nice location, nice food, nice seating options. Fair buffet food selection, Bert time to go is after 2:30 and before 5 on Friday . If only they have a changing room for babies, it would have been much better.
Good service, high quality food
Very limited iftar buffet very low value for the money we paid , we didn’t like the food and the desserts may be one or two plates only we likedOnly two types of ramdan juices and they take extramoney for the water
Lovely place nice coffee ☕
Clean, quite and a very good Egyptian food restaurant 👌😋👍🏻
Nice breakfast buffet however it doesnt include any beverages, beans wasnt that good the rest was nice but in the eggs section was too crowded
Perfect restaurant .. tasty food 😋.. clean place .. nice mood .. very decent staff .. I like it
First time, Iftar buffet was wooow, fresh food, same as home made, a lot of variety, very clean & orginized place, no queueing, the staff & service are excellent, the place has a nice ambience, highly recommended.
Nice place for a good meal, people working there are so friendly.
A wide and delicious choice of traditional dishes - plenty of tasty, fresh vegetarian options. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money...Its definitely worth a vist.
Nice and pleasant place with very delicious Egyptian food
A nice Egyptian restaurant/cafe
We had a beautiful simple breakfast Egyptian buffet, with a beautiful Egyptian songs. from 10am to 1 pm for 30 dirhams per person.
I was with my family yesterday 14.12.2020By checking reviews I was expecting good service and delicious food but unfortunately its other way around. The worst service ever. It seems like nobody cares about guests. We ordered food together with tea but we never got a tea. After 30 min I went to bar to get my tea, no one was there so I took tea by my self. I asked container for take away from supervisor he told me than he will bring it. Waited 10 min went back to bar saw him standing and when I asked wheres my container, he ignored me because he was busy with his phone. Definitely not recommended to go there. I guess half of the reviews are fake.
Best so far, specially in ramadan iftar
As usual , the most lovely place to have Egyptian food
Nice place to visit for chat with friends.
Horrible costumer service. Managers will see the problem and simply watch and not take any action. Never visiting again
Well, we didnt continue eating cause they said that the municipality was on the way to close the place.so its a bad place.
Love the place the buffet is nice the taste is Egyptian perfect taste... definitely will go again.... experienceBuffet in Friday only until 6pm
Really friendly staff with a good hygiene measures, I liked the food tast and the Turkish coffee was great.
Delicious egypt coursin, I like it.
Great place for Egyptian vibes
A class Egyptian restaurant in Dubai. We could have lunch after a walk through canal walkway. Very good
Spacious restaurant walking distance from the canal, plenty of tables. Service was quite slow but kind waiters, not all the dishes were freshly cooked but many options on the menu
It was very very yummy and delicious 😋😋😋❤️❤️❤️Unfortunately I dont have pictures 🤷 we ate everything very fast😋
One start is much more than they deserve, yesterday I ate meet, and 6 hours later I ended up in the emergency room in the Saudi German hospital.Long story short, I was poisoned and in bad shape because of the food I ate.If that happened in any restaurant, Dubai Municipality would close the restaurant right-after such an accident. They are very strict with their actions when it comes to food quality.Take care, ladies and gentlemen.
Amazing food and service! Best mahashi and mixed grill. We were served a feast! Thank you!
First time here and am very impressed with the decor, the display of the menus, family dining separate from the Disco like dining area. They have live music some days (check). Came here through recommendation of a friend and the food was delicious.Afternoons you can choose a take away menu or eat in.Also a menu for every occasion. Some outdoor seating for the cool nights. It is very spacious and clean, beautiful wooden tables and comfortable chairs. The Egyptian menu is all about grill food, rice, salad, smoothies (freshly made) but also have a vegetarian menu, nice touch. Well priced considering the location. Easy parking in front of the building. Recommended.
Excellent service, food and staff
Delicious Egyptian restaurant 😍😋
Good but high prices
Great servise
