My journey started at SAE 2 years ago as a film student, with minimal expectations as people had informed me that I can learn stuff online but I was proved wrong. The learning experience that I received at SAE is completely different and they taught me from scratch, the entire film production process, from pre production to developing a script(Hollywood style) and important roles in a film production. The important part was the practical application which was filming and also got to use all type of cameras from camera corders to phones to DSLR to proper cinematic cameras. In post production SAE taught various styles of editing and also green screen editing as well. We as students also had chance to collab with other students to work on our projects which helped in interaction with other fields of teaching like animation, audio, games, etc. In the end I was quite happy with the appreciation and award received as they value our work.

I am a film student at SAE Dubai. I started off as someone who had very little knowledge about filmmaking. SAE has given me the resources, amazing mentors and an extremely welcoming environment which has helped me come a long way, learning not just about the technical skills but also helping me with my personal skills. My experience at SAE has been just amazing. The learning environment is extremely ideal for studying, with welcoming staff, professionally experienced lecturers, great exposure and individual attention to students.Lastly, this was the only college to provide me with a degree specifically in film and not a general multimedia degree.

First of all, the instructor was really good and experienced. She knew her stuff and she made sure that we were on the right track with the basics and it was totally worth it. The staff is really helpful and cooperative and helped us through out the tenure here. It is worth to complete the course from SAE.

Just graduated from this institute, absolutely amazing experience and had fond memories, Ive attended the bachelor of games and I knew barely anything about coding, I knew I wanted to do games development, but the thought of coding was always daunting, but this school taught me how I could code and create my own games. The lecturers for the games department are insanely amazing, and always teach in fun hands-on ways, shout out to Ahmed, Bakr, Mustafa and Hamze for being awesome lecturers :D. The school also offers mixed learning where you can learn at home or on-campus due to Covid-19, and dont worry, SAE is insanely uptight about the safety of the campus, which is a good thing :).P.S Image is Pre-covid Game Jam 2020 Hosted by SAE in January

Since completing the course, I have created around 8 tracks (In a month). If youve always been interested in music, this is THE place to start. The course instructor, Mr. Zubin explains concepts in an easy to digest manner and by the time youre done with the course, you have at least 1 track to spam your friends with.

Hi my name is Daniyal Lotia,I am a student of the Bachelors of Animation and visual effects degree, and so far my experience has been amazing. the lecturers at SAE all have a professional background in the respective field and have a lot of valuable skills and knowledge that they provide about the industry that you will be entering. The campus is fully equipped with the latest industry standard tools and equipment to support students in the learning process. Moreover, they push us to constantly excel and reach our maximum potential. They make it so that once we graduate we are industry ready and have all the requirements to find the work we want. The administration is very reliable and welcoming. furthermore, they help with any adjustments that you might need while studying at SAE.Overall, I love working in this competitive environment and I am getting all the help that I need to get my skills and knowledge to industry standards.A well deserved 5 Stars.

Frankly speaking, the course was everything that I had hoped for and more as we got learn more about about film making from a technical point of view. We were lucky to get a chance to get a hands on experience with all the gears and different equipment which was a blast. The staff was very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend this to any one aspiring to join this field.

Thats the worst semester i ever had, i studied in Sae Jordan for 1 year, then i heard that Sae Dubai is better so i went to Dubai to continue study there, i took 3 units in this semester and 1 of them was related to film, and for this class we were only 4 students, me and 3 others, so how can we competition with each other when there is only 2 groups in the class? And i shocked that i already took this class in Sae Jordan and i already gave them my transcript but they made me take it again and pay for it. the equipment is very bad, the camera that i use for youtube videos is better than what we got in the class. The only thing was good in this class is the teacher, She was very good. There is too many other problems but i will just talk about those.Im going back to Sae Jordan!

I began my journey as an aspiring audio engineer in February of 2019 when I first joined SAE. SAE has given me the chance to gain far more insight into the audio/creative media industry than I thought was possible. When I first entered SAE, I was a blank canvas with a mere dot of audio-related knowledge to back me up. SAE took this dot and is currently working on turning it into what Id like to think as a beautiful picture. The placement has provided me with a variety of projects to work on and as result, Ive developed several skills and has allowed me to grow valuable work experience. Not only has the campus enabled me to work on various aspects of my personal skill set with regard to the course in question i.e. audio, SAE has also introduced me to several talented artists with interests ranging from film to games, design and animation, thus allowing me to partake in ‘n’ number of collaborative projects whilst building meaningful relationships/connections in the process. At SAE, we have a ‘learn by doing’ policy, meaning we take a more practical, hands on approach with regard to class structure in order to ensure we make the most of our time spent on campus. This, in particular, has stuck out to me as employment of the deliberate practise skill has enabled me to engage in several activities and projects that show off the use of concepts learnt on campus both in and out of SAE.Not only does this help improve my ability to perform these tasks by a mile but it also helps improve my confidence with regard to the same.In extension, SAE offers a lot more than what meets the eye. The facilitators here place immense importance on soft skills (such as time management, positive attitude and ability to act as a team player/collaborate to name a few) along with the more industry related hard skills and leave students with a rather professional attitude with regard to work ethic and manner.

I have enrolled for the one month Digital illustration course with SAE, since the schedule works well with my daytime work schedule. Our teacher on the course, Mr. Bing has taught a lot of helpful tips and tricks to immediately get a hands-on experience with drawing on Photoshop. The only point I want to add as feedback would be to have the course for a longer duration with classes only once a week as it would give ample time to practice and cover topics at a slower pace.

Horrible experience and very unprofessional place and rude staff. I went from AD to Dubai for a 3D max course and went through all the hassle of getting tested just to find a very unprofessional place and staff. The instructor who teaches the class was on her phone most of the time, no effort was made to teach the class, no follow-up if the info is clear or not. I wasted 2hrs of my time. And when I decided I dont want to continue with the course anymore because its basically not worth my time or my money and I asked for a refund. they promised to refund the money but in 45 days and when I asked why? the answer was this is their policy and they dont care if Im happy or not as they cannot please everybody.when I tried to talk with the financial manager Ive been told that hes not in his office and they have no idea where he is at 2 pm on Tuesday.I will never go back to this unprofessional place and definitely dont recommend it cuz its a waste of money and time.

They lied to me and stole my money.(TL;DR: I was asked to pay for a course that they claimed to exist, but wasnt even developed a month later, with no refund.)I wanted to join their short course in Games Development; I met the enrollment officer in person at the campus. He told me to fill a form and email it to him. I did that but got no response. 9 days later, the enrollment officer mailed me another form, exactly the same as the one before (same dates, same course fee). I asked about this new form, and got no reply, so I filled that one out too and sent it.Exactly one month before the course was scheduled to begin, I got a call from the enrollment officer. He told me that the class will now be online. I asked him if the syllabus will be the same, what software I will need, and how I will communicate with the professor. He said that nothing will change (the date, syllabus, and course fee is the same), and then he asked me to pay for the course. So I went ahead and paid for it.A month passes, with no word from the university. On the day the course was supposed to begin, my father and I made a complaint online, and later he and I spoke on the phone with the Learning and Development Manager, Mustafa Al Dardery.Thats when I learn that there the online version for my course doesnt exist, and they were still working on the syllabus! They could not guarantee that the new syllabus would teach the same things they had promised earlier. They could not even give a tentative date for the program at all!I only joined the course because of the syllabus and the date promised. So I asked for a refund of the fees I paid. I was denied, and instead given credit which I could use for another course within the year. Naturally I was furious; the Terms and Conditions in the enrollment form said I was entitled to a full refund if the course was cancelled. They had cancelled the course, and didnt make a new course yet, even after the date on the form I filled. He didnt even know who I was, and kept asking for my student ID, despite my father telling him I was never given one!As for the enrollment officer, I was simply told he no longer worked there. If he told me the truth, that the online course didnt exist yet, I would never have paid! And I was entitled to a refund if I cancelled 30 days before the course starting date, so of course that explains why I never got a reply from him until exactly 30 days before!5 days after this call, I get an apology letter from Mustafa Al Dardery, and a confirmation of a new starting date for my course (which was pushed back by 3 months). My course will begin 2 weeks from writing this review, and I have yet to receive any emails from the university about anything (whether its still online or not, what software I need, nothing at all), so I highly recommend anyone interested in pursuing a certificate course from SAE Institute Dubai to look elsewhere. I will update this in 2 weeks.

Very disorganized institute. They allow you to enroll onto different courses but then they randomly change the course dates at their own will when dates had already been pre-set. Because of this, courses overlap with each other and when you try raising your concerns, they dont acknowledge any of your points. Neither do they refund your course nor give you a certificate as you did not attend all your classes. Some good teachers here but its disappointing how its organized.

SAE is a great place to let your creative self out. The friendly staff & students make it fun to be at. Being a student of the animation department, the work load is heavy but also very satisfying to see your creations come to life by the end of the term. The fact that you end up doing most of your projects in collaborations with other departments like graphics, audio, games etc makes the experience very valuable as it is very close to real life. Infrastructure can be improved but im sure we will see a lot of great improvements in the coming months to make this a school one would vie to be at.
