I was really shocked from quality of people working at challhoub now adays especially in such position at the reception which is the first impression about the companyI went on 13th of Sep to drop my resume or to meet someone from HR but the receptionist an African lady was soo disrespectful, un professional dose not know how to speak to the peopleA job seeker is not a second grade humanBy the way I am applying for HR and public relation job and thats the way how I got treatedSo God bless the sales people how they will be treated once they approach to such office ..???

I have been applying for Chalhoub since 2015 every month every week. I was always being rejected straight away without chance to meet in person, without phone calls. Since one year i am jobless i borrowed some money to come back to Dubai to find a job and i applied again, in one lucky day i recieved a call from Chalhoub (best feeling ever )Hr was very polite and generous Maria or Mariam. She told me that i have been shortlisted with one of the Homeware brand, and she inform me that they are going to call me to do face to face interview after eid days. I have been waiting and preparing for interview as hard as i can , i visited the brand where i have been shortlisted i talked with staff who works there i asked him about products and tips in order to make sure to get a job. Staff in the store was impressed he welcomed me incase if i will be joining. After 20 days of waiting i recieved an email saying that my application was not successful for that position. I decided to follow up i called Mariya she said requisition was changed to female preference i explained her my situation about visa expiry very soon and somehow i was hoping for this chance she told me she will try to help me.Done story ends there! I was positive because i really want to join the group i asked all people who i know if they can help me with a job somehow one of my old manager told me that he send my resume to one of the managers in Chalhoub and she liked my resume and they organised for me face to face interview. Again exciting moment isnt it? Fashion its my dream since i started my career in Dubai. I did my interview with 2 managers of the brand all in all interview was positive i didnt feel that i failed hard in this interview. Managers were fine we had great interview.after 8 hours i am receiving email saying that my application was not successful from Hr. So my question is this Dear Hrs in Chalhoub we never meet in person with any of you and i dont think that i hurt someone or i did mistake against anyone, even if i did mistake we all deserve second chance we are humans we are coachable we have families back home who is waiting some kind of support from us. Is it good to reject always same person just because he has 4 years experience in home furnishing and vacancy in Fashion? Or is it good when person having difficult days on visit visa to give them hope to loose 20 days and saying after long time that preference is changed to female? After each application you send us auto email with amazing attachment with words we wont leave you out in the COLD we wont leave you HANGING we will help you to show your BESTall statements are opposite to my experience i am giving this feedback after 4 years of continuous applying in your group. You didnt left me out in the cold you put me in the freezer. You left me hanging when each my day was on count on visit visa.To let readers to know i have 4 years experience in retail i am good in english, russian , im positive person.
