User friendly app and easy access just make sure you have enough data to be able to used the ekar app. Tried it 3 times already and its very convenient. Refund is also easy, they convert it as your credit for your next trip.

Ekar service team were helpful today when I could not start my car. They checked the system and saw the last user left on the lights and the battery was flat! They found a car near me and helped me change my booking quickly and refunded my account. Good service.

Undoubtedly very convenient, easy to register, easy to book, and a great commute option. The per minute car rental is stress free, and saves money if you only need the car for a part of the day. Although daily rentals are a bit pricey, you still dont have to take the hassle to pick & drop the car. And sometimes they even have offers. Great app interface. And the ekar team tries hard to keep good customer relationship. The car fleet is well maintained and clean.

Getting a rental car without being into many requirements and security deposit etc is a tough quest however not so with ekar Carshare company, nice prices, great cars and wonderful people. Highly recommend them. I will be using them every time Im here

3 for 2 offer was really good. I went to four different parts of the UAE for less than 300 AED with one booking. Be careful to check the mileage limits if you are driving a long way - would be nice to have more daily mileage for long trips!

Was impressed when the ekar customer service team. They helped me finish my registration very quickly. They answer my request on facebook and even replied using WhatsApp to make things faster when I needed to resend my documents to them.

So far no problems with the app. The interface is clean, simple and works smoothly. There are more steps to unlocking a car compared to other car sharing apps but Ekar clearly has better QoL features than the competition.

Have been using ekar since 2020 and find this a super handy service for small trips/errands. I can usually find a car on the app close to where I live (on the Palm) and they are clean (including sanitizer wipes/gel inside) and in pretty good condition. Sometimes I struggle to find cars in certain areas at peak times, but have noticed this getting better recently with more cars showing on the App lately.

I set my card up once on ekar and now super easy to book a car and start my trip whenever I need one. No paperwork or headaches.

I prefer the new Dubai pay per minute pricing now that it does not have cleaning or booking fees included. Better value now.

} Like if You Agree {Terrible Customer Service / Rude / Unwanted ChargesAnyone reading this review should pay a close attention to all the 1 Stars.I usually never give out a 1 Star unless the experience was that bad.Think about Dubai at this time of year being extremely hot and humid and waiting to get access to an ekar while sweating and breathing through your mask.My story is that my companion and I booked an ekar, reached the vehicle before 30 mins but while taking the time to upload the images required by ekar in the hot and humid climate, the ekar software was slow to respond in uploading the pics, and once we restarted the app the car was shown as if it had started the trip while we were still outside. We had to end the booking and rebook it, for which we were charged.Upon calling the rep, he said that the charges came from the expired reservation (WHICH IS NEVER A PROBLEM in Udrive). While I understand that not using the car could be considered a loss for ekar, however, if the same customer who had a genuine issue is still using the services, there is no loss for the company, they get their trips, get paid and both sides win. However, the rep on the phone was rude and was completely unhelpful in this situation. With all the accounts, tracking and GPS location mandatory for the account users, it is extremely easy to verify genuine issues and waive the fees, Ekar chooses to ignore them and focus on their unwanted and UNJUST fines, Terms & conditions & God knows what else.I had a similar incident with them in 2017 where a supposed brand-new tire in one of their cars was completely destroyed while I was driving on the E311 Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road highway. I could have lost my life or been seriously injured. As per their T&Cs, I informed ekar of this incident, I had no roadside assistance, changed the tire and reached my office. An hour later, I was charged 400 AED.When confronted about it, I was put as the cause for the tire burst. Hence, my first Distrust and issue of ekar, moving on to Udrive.Yes, I am openly promoting Udrive as it is clear that a lot of my friends had many issues with Ekar and moved to Udrive.Cheers to Ekar. 👎You just lost another Satisfied Customer. 👏All the best for your future customers. 👎

The good thing when you call ekar customer care if you are a new user they will guide you through all the features in the app and explain you every single fees and penalties and more information how to use the service.

HiI find it really upsetting that they tend to charge AED 5/- for every drive stating santization, sanitizers, wipes will be in the car when there were neither any sanitizers nor any wipes and I do not have a guarantee that they were sanitized just before I took the car the last few times.I do not understand how frequently they sanitize vehicles and what guarantee is it that the person before be didnt have the corona virus and then I take the car and am affected. I find this a business model claiming to charge customers on the name of sanitization in this pandemic to gain an extra income here.I have raised this complaint, but then they ask for evidence and pictures but i do not understand what benefit does it give me to provide pictures and that they still claim they would not refund the aed 5 which they take for sanitzation.Atleast if there was a santizer as they claimed, i could wipe my hands well enough....Anyway i attach here some pics of the car i took today with NO sanitizers and wipes for instance.I would rather avoid the AED 5/ - and have a sanitizer bottle of my own or even consider a RTA taxi which charges 5 AED also for starting fee.trips reservations:1470741 (todays car)146866914686181468596146855614685231468452

Called ekar customer service today as my car was dirty. I sent the pitcures via email. They checked the last booking before mine and found the user had left the rubbish in the car, and arranged for a cleaner to attend the car within the hour and also offered me a replacement car close by free of charge. Good service.

I just started using this app again after two years and I think its great that they did away with the pin code they used to give. Now booking a car is a much simpler process with QRC scan . I had a good experience with the cars and a great one with customer service. They were able to solve my issues in short time.

Great app. The only problem is showing on the app all the invoices that are still pending. Bcoz I recently used Ekar it didnt realize that my credit card expired. I received an email asking to pay my bill within 2 days, I have entered my card but cant find any other option to pay the bill.

Last week i faced one issue with one of my reservations the car was not unlocking,i called customer service and the call was disconnected due to a balance issue however they called me back in less than 20 seconds and make sure that i started the trip and the car is fine .

Biggest range of cars on ekar and easy app to use. I like the Mazda Cx3 best as it has a touchscreen and good quality inside for the price.

I love this app as I can drive around using ekar.it is easy to book in each time. Only disappointing thing is 110km limit and 24 hours maximum on pay per minute fleet .but for the concept you deserve everyone support

Started my ekar booking and the car was dirty inside! Called customer service and they helped checked the last time the car was cleaned whilst I waited and provided a car close by as a replacement at no cost. Not perfect, but was a good response for me.

Solid platform -- better than taxis or ride hailing in COVID-19 (Im always afraid of exposure to the driver), and the variety and driving experience is so much fun. I especially love the Mini Coopers. Whenever I can, I ride one. And much better value than a taxi or ride hailing service. Overall amazing.

Just got the Weekly Rental from ekar, seamless and easy process along with ensuring we understand the reliability they provide for the car transcation, but i have one comment for mileage,i wish they will increase the Weekley and daliy mileage

Quick to charge on penalty but super slow in issuing refund (wrongfully charged because the app failed to end trip even after doing so). It wont even be reversed to your card but only as credit on the app. I only used the app to get back the money on credits and now I was charged for so much more on parking penalty. They wouldnt give enough time to move the car. A friend tried to move it but the app didnt work and doesnt open the car!!! We couldve moved the car if only the car opens!!! I shouldnt have used the app again, bad reviews explains it. There is no option to remove credit card details which feels like a trap. Would not recommend!!!

Tough to get cars near Al fahidi location.. Daily rentals are now aed 250 and more which is Very much higher than rental from local car rental companies surely.. Definitely need for cheaper aed99 or less rental options

1. Car battery went dead, unreliable cars.2. I had to book taxi to do chores for which I rented ekar. No full or partial refund. In fact they charged extra.3. Customer service is very unsupportive, in a moment of mini crisis when I was running late to pickup kids for school, it was mentally traumatic experience to ask for support and close the lease.4. Because car battery was dead I couldnt take photo of kms and fuel as they are digital only - so they charged for almost full tank and additional kms I dont know based on what!5. Worst part is I reported car battery dead on 14th Sep around 5:30pm and they said recovery team will be at site in 30-45 mins, but it did not come so I finished the lease on App after 3 hours and the recovery actually came after couple of days!

The helpline has been improved a lot ,now your call will be attended in less than 30 seconds

Horrible Service, unflexibile, overcharging literally on every breath you take. I will never ever user Ekar again, Udrive is much better and more flexible and its much cheaper and they dont randomly charge you on literally everything. I dont recommend this at all

App is easy to use, found my car quickly and was able to start my trip within 2 mins of booking. Was annoying that I had to take the four photos before starting/ending the trip as this takes time.

Found an ekar on the App today and was surprised how cheap it was! Went from Dubai Marina to Safa Park for less than 40 AED and fuel was included. Car was still showing on the App when I finished so I booked it again :)

Pathetic service..rented car for a day from sharjah and was not informed tht parking the vehicle outside emirate will penalise of 250 dirham without informing or with my consent. Customer service is simply there to blame customer for not reading their 100 terms and conditions.not even ready to log a complaint and their supervisor ahmed baghdadi doesnt even bother to call back to make the customer understand about the penalty absolutely disgusting service....not ready to listen to what customer has to say....for them it customer service representative is always right and customer is always wrong....even after reading the post if u all have any courtesy or shame then contact me....
