Old dubai decorate seafood restaurant. Love whole design and small details. Friendly staffs and food was good. But don’t order seafood soup tomato base. It’s not worth it. 😅

One of the most decent and proper seafood restaurants Ive been here in Dubai, very instagrammable place and the food is really good. The ambience is really suited for casual dinners with social distancing observed.

I visited the place for dinner and fell in love with it. The ambiance, food, hospitality everything is on point. They specializes in seafood and thr crabs and prawns were yum. Sizzling dates pudding was the showstopper closely followed by creamy seafood soup. Everything is top notch. Highly recommended.

They serve all types of sea food with an unlimited seafood buffet for just 99 dhs per person. Amazing atmosphere and such a great place. Authentic Emirati Cuisine. So much choice! They even have fish market inside and you can buy fish for your home. Great and friendly staff, spacious restaurant. I will be definitely coming back. Very cozy outside area, will sit there once it is not so hot. Thank you!

Such an unique Emirati restaurant. We visited the branch in al barsha. So beautiful 😻 outdoor area are facing park. Indoor area have a corner with fresh seafood, also corner with local items for sale (traditional tea/coffee pot, bags, snacks, some scarfs and other items). in restaurant itself you can try a local food, local desserts 🍨 they have 9 separated majilis (separate rooms in Arabic style) areas, where people can gather together and eat by sitting on the floor. I loved the interior of the restaurant. I fully dipped into the atmosphere of Dubai in the 1960. How cool they recreated there the atmosphere of Bedouin village.I definitely recommend you to visit this place. Lovely staff and nice food :)

We found this place accidentally and this was the most pleasant surprise ever! Thought we wanted only coffee, looking at the wide range of seafood menu got us hungry so we ordered Garlic Butter Shrimps and Mix Seafood Curry Stew. I cannot describe how tasty the food was! Not only that, the whole interior is done in a very traditional design, the one you can see in Old Dubai only. Highly recommended! P.S. Tareq was very helpful with the food choices and gave us a warm and genuine customer service!

Visited al fanar restaurant today. What an amazing ambience, totally loved it. The food was equally good. We tried kingfish biryani, mutton machboos, fish kofta, garlic butter shrimp, reqaq bread with egg and cheese and legaimat. Everything was super delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed our food and time there! Highly recommended. Definitely going back again ❣

We was walking around and just saw this restaurant. So we came to check.And we ordered this plate (big size), more than enough for 2 persons.My applause to chef! It’s amazing! I’ve never tried so delicious and amazing sea food before in Dubai! And it’s grilled !!!Also hospitality was like 5 star hotel, thanks to Ahmed waiter who was serving us.We liked the atmosphere and the music around.We will definitely come back to this place again.

We had mutton biriyani and garlic butter prawns, crab cheesy poppers. Prawns and crab was great. Mutton biriyani was lacking a bit spicy as expected and quantity was not sufficient.

Overlooking the park and lake. What an amazing place to eat and enjoy the interior.The team Ezz and Anil would help you choose the best ftom the long list of seafood menu along with other meats also if you do not have a thing for sea food.! We went during the week for the Emirati breakfast platter for two. So great to be able to experience authentic Emirati cuisine. The restaurant is lovely and will be even better during winter when the outdoor dining space will be open

Somehow it was my only 1st visit after so many years in Dubai, and I am definitely coming back 😍 I was greeted and served with lovely Malshi Fernando, all my requests were kindly met with her, thank you very much for the great service!! Visited this place last night for a Pre Ramadan Cooking workshop and Iftar and been amazed with beautiful and antique ambience of Traditional Emirati place. The restaurant is quite big, has lots of spaces for their guests including private rooms with own sink and ring bell. Also they have open area, which is amazing to dine out during cold season. We have tried a local cuisine. We’ve been offered a Ramadan set menu which includes starters (salads), mains and desserts. I personally choose a rocket salad, prawn biryani and luqaimat. The taste was so delicious. I loved the mixes of flavors in my dish. Staff is very attentive and helpful. The manager mr Ahmed Ali is very professional was checking with us if all good and made sure that we don’t have any shortage. Wonderful dining experience! Highly recommended to everyone!!

6 years in the UAE and dinner here was the best local dining experience Ive ever had. The place and its interior is amazingly old world and there is such beauty in that. The food is delicious and our server Vince was lovely. As someone whos picky and used to really fresh seafood, I totally give a thumbs up to the freshness of the seabream, shrimps and squid! All grilled to my absolute delight. Me and my friend throughly enjoyed our wonderful dining experience.

Lovely breakfast , tried kema which is minced meat with tomato paste and peas, egg with tomato and balalet which is a Traditional Emirati breakfast made of scrambled egg and sweet nodles.All are delicious with a good ambient and old decoration.I recommend it .

Amazing customer service! However, improvement is needed on food. Lamb is dry and sea bass is just okey. We asked for butter along with their bread and they said they don’t have, instead, we were suggested to have cheese spread (Kraft spread seems like) in a tiny metal cup and was charged for AED 6. No olive oil or balsamic vinegar was offered atleast. No Manager visit on the table…

Love the atmosphere and location right at Barsha Park. Good food and excellent service by Tareq. It’s a big venue, with indoor and outdoor dining options. It is clean and also has separate spaces for groups to dine in. The interior design is well thought and planned with the details. They have a playground for kids. You can enter from outside or inside from Barsha Park. Looking forward to return and try different dishes.

Service is below avarage, staff are not trained to handel customers properly, menu is not clearly explaining items and neither are waiters, we ordered what should be a normal salad which turned out to be extremely spicy and no one bothered to explain, water glasses are smelly, and seems that with hot appitizers u need to specifically ask for bread 🤣 which is a simple given by any arabic or levant resturant.

Amazing experience!Local Emirati food with delicious Mutton Majbous.We had the manager Ahmad Ali take us for a tour first ans explain the concept, the amazing service by the waitress (called Malshi) and took some food as takeaway for the kids afterwards.Definitely recommend this place !!

We tried the unlimited seafood on a Sunday after 6pm and Anil served our table for the night, best service and vibe. I do think they can do better to enhance the marination so the food is much tastier but overall if you dip it on the variety of sauces they provide it tastes good. Anil also provided complimentary ice tea to taste which was great of him, I liked it so I ordered the same, they serve it with sugar on the side so you can control how much sugar you want on your juice.

This is not a true representation of Emirati cuisine. Its good for tourists that do not know Emirati/Arabic food. We tried several dishes they all were below average! Even as a seafood restaurant this is not good. Neither taste nor portions were satisfactory.

Filling breakfast trays, pleasant setting, lots of seating areas, nice to sit al fresco in the cooler months too..and for a walk in the park by the lake. Relaxed atmosphere, attractive old style building, plenty of choices on the menu, affordable. Karak tea and arabian coffee, traditional feasts. Looking forward to a dinner there soon. I would love to try the private rooms one day, they look great. Easy to find and park.

We had an extremely wonderful night at Al Fanar. We were served by the amazing waiter named Anil who really was really professional and catered to all our needs. He was very polite and well spoken and recommended us to try the unlimited seafood which was absolutely exquisite! An Emirati delicacy... Grilled garlic buttered mussels next to finely grilled squid and perfectly charred fresh shrimps. We were also surprised by how delicious the crabs were! The crabs were star of the tray... Make sure to choose garlic butter because it was really mouth watering... Thank you, Anil for the great service and atmosphere. We will definitely come back. 10 star service.... Sadly forgot to take photos...next time for sure!

I absolutely loved the full experience; great vibes, traditional cuisine made with passion, and friendly staff including Reyad and others! Ill absolutely come again to have Biryani with shrimps and friend Calamari.. and drink Karak afterwards. I highly recommend this restaurant for a cosy Emirati-oriented dinner.

Everything is authentic and traditional from the food to decoration.For the food try their sea food as it’s fresh and you can select what you want. Terrible experience. Old design doesn’t have to be broken walls and rusty items which don’t even relate to authentic Emarati culture. Staff where not transparent about prices , food was below ordinary and washrooms were dirty and smelly . Style of bathrooms is depressing and ugly . Such a disappointment! Definitely not going back or recommending it to anyone.

Quite the authentic Emirates atmosphere with the decorations and the old ornaments, I went for sweets, the sizzling dates pudding 36 dhms was quite a treat but Im definitely gonna go there again for the real deal sea food mains 😋 it is located inside the Barsha pond park so that is an opportunity if you wanna spend the day there, you can rent a bike for 20dhms or a little boat for 60dhms, put on you jogging gear and make use of the track around the pond... Or just lay down on the grass and enjoy a picnic treat with your family / friends.

An authentic Emirati seafood restaurant. Very spacious and smack in the middle of Al Barsha opposite Al Mawakeb school. The back of the restaurant is inside Barsha Pond Park which will make this a great place for a good meal and space for kids to play during the months when the weather is cooler. Now.. the food! The menu has a decent selection of Machboos and Biryani with some starters too. The fresh fish selection wasnt very rich in options as some of them only had a couple options of each but what was available was mostly fresh. All in all the food was good as well as the ambience and the service was quick and friendly (it was empty at the time so I cant vouch for busier times). Value for money is also ok considering its a seafood restaurant. Would I go again... sure.
