A marvel of engineering and construction.At 10:00pm every weekdays evening the central span of the bridge opens (2 branches (one for each carriageway) rotate horizontally (around a vertical axis) 180°) to berth there until 6:00am next morning and give vessels their time of passage...The rest of the bridge does not move horizontally; It is free floating on the water, secured in place from both sides by vertical piles driven into the seabed.
