A place to visit for variety of mesmerizing Mediterranean food.

Azalya is the all day dining restaurant for the five star Melia hotel located in Mankhool. I visited during lunch but I believe there are 3 buffets throughout the day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Of course there is an al a carte option avaiable for the few hours that they are between the buffets.For a 5 star hotel, I thought the quantity and quality was underwhelming, below average in fact. The calibur of the food here resembles those of a 3/4 star hotel. Even the worst 5 star hotel buffet experience that I have before in the past would have me considering revisiting them in the future should they improve, but I feel that the quality at Azalya is so far away from an actual 5 star experiencethat it would be some time before they achieve this, unless something drastic happens with their culinary team.Not that Azalya was a fine dining restaurant to begin with but I thought the experience was more of a casual dining concept than one at a 5 star hotel. Seeing as Melia is a Spanish concept, it would be nice to see some kind of Spanish cuisine on the menu. As Melia is located in Mankhool, there was a number of Indian dishes being served, so that was expected. The rest of the items felt like ones that you can easily pick up from the grocery store, didn’t see much of anything that would convince me to return.

Food quality is not a 5 Star standard. Mise en place was not well, took so long to get the sushi.
